Chipped nail polish🙈 that is one of biggest pet peves... especially on the fingers, the toes could still be hidden, but your hands are on display constantly...
Excellent list! I have two tips: my nail polish often chips, so to avoid it looking bad, I just use clear or very natural coloured polish; Two: rather than eyelash extensions, I use an eyelash conditioner/serum. I'm 58, blonde with fine short lashes. For the last 3 months I've used an eyelash serum every night, and my lashes look longer, darker and fuller. I've had strangers compliment me on my long natural lashes. So I would try the conditioning option before going for extensions.
Met Dolly once, while waiting for the elevator, outside of our doc’s office, on the outskirts of Beverly Hills (not a plastic surgery doc, either, lol).. She told me I had the most beautiful alabaster skin, and quite a mysterious look (I had on a extra large black brimmed floppy hat, large black sunglasses, and an off the shoulder, long sleeve, black dress).. I told her it was all to protect said alabaster skin. It was a lovely, unexpected surprise. She was just as kind as she comes off as, in the media. And I must be doin’ something right.. 😅
Cher once said if she wanted to put her boobs on her back she would. Do what you want if it makes you feel better about yourself. Personally, I’ve had 😊no work done and don’t intend to but to each their own.
The cheapest thing someone can do is to wear clothes that are not ironed and shoes that are dirty. It's something that people often overlook, but when your clothes are well-ironed, and you regularly clean your shoes, you always look fresh
I'm disabled and cannot stand to iron clothes. I however take them straight out of rhe washing machine and hang them, so they don't look like crumpled dish rags...
Thanks to Anna I no longer wear a hair elastic on my wrist, and I keep my nails trimmed with a very light polish. Instantly makes me look more polished.
That's one of her tips that I instantly took note of haha. I used to ALWAYS have a hair tie just sitting on my wrist. Anna pointing that out made me remove it and try to keep it in my pocket instead. I rarely reach for it because I never used it that much. Just goes to show how much it was just being used as an ugly bracelet.
The golden rule when it comes to teeth is: NEVER GO WHITER THAN THE WHITE PART OF YOUR EYES. The white of your eyes should be the lightest shade possible for your teeth. Anything lighter looks uncanny.
Yes and this lady's teeth do not look natural at all, there are veneers that mimic the natural shape/lines of the teeth and there are poorly made veneers that look bumpy and big and plastic, unfortunately Anna has not been lucky in choosing her dentist.
Cool, except if you have a bloodshot eyes 😂 Here is the tip: make sure your earrings emphasize your eye color. My friend who works in diamond industry got that job because she could see colors better than many other applicants. And her advice on what color jewels I should wear “changed my life” 😂 It’s incredible how people notice your eyes if matched with right earring color.
They’re only cute for pictures but really uncomfortable and unpractical for everyday wear. Even bold gel nail colours can limit one’s wardrobe choices.
I’m so sorry to hear you were bullied 😢 even now as an adult …..words hurt … not okay ❤ I find your work very honest and videos so very well prepared There is nothing more beautiful than a self assured woman who knows exactly who she is … just my opinion❤
In my opinion, lack of hair grooming, messy bun, tangled up hair and overly outgrown out roots just make you stand out for the wrong reasons in public and of course, undoubtedly cheapen your look.
Agree. If one dyes/bleaches their hair it should be maintained carefully to look good, if that's not possible then imo natural color is the best option. I also think many problems that can make your hair look frumpy could be solved by adding a leave-in conditioner suitable to your hair type to your routine.
Damage, aka breakage and split ends...it's better to have unbleached, naturally textured shorter hair, than trying to force a straight long bleach blonde that's broken.
Jennifer Scott from The Daily Connoisseur had great advice not to start certain beauty treatments that are not going to be well maintained. I agree that short buffed nails look better than thick gel nails with regrowth at the bottom. The same goes for highlights that are long grown out and brassy.
Very true, also in that category, when people get lash extensions but don’t keep up with them so there are some short and some long lashes, looks so bad😬
I don’t understand how people say you have fake or uneven lips, you’ve had and still have a beautiful smile, in my opinion, even your natural teeth looked good on you. The imperfections are okay. ❤
Eyelash extensions have gotten out of control in my opinion! I love the natural ones but as my grandma put it “why do you need to look like Las Vegas at the gym?” 😂 I lasted a few months and stopped getting them after her honest opinion
Anything permanent on your face is a no-no... What you like in your 20s is not what you're going to like in your 40s. Especially the color black might look good in your twenties but look horrible in your 40s. Now if it gradually wears away well that's a different story. If it's permanent say no.
I don't know, even Anna had a nose job. I have seen some really nice nose jobs, and that lasts a lifetime. But you still have to be careful, nose jobs have a high revision rate.
@@labornurse my fiance had his nose done due to having it broken badly and it's not been redone since then and it looks great still. I will say though, he gets sick easier having had it done and he also can't pick blackheads because his nose is sensitive to being pushed down and such
Try Nano-brows, Im 41 and was a typical 90s teen with overplucked brows. I got nanobrows this year and it is incredibly natural-looking and not painful at all like microbrows are.
I used to get migraines too, so I understand the aversion to perfumes. Ladies, we need to be sensitive to others “needs”. Thank you Anna. Great video, as usual. Also, I was taught by my mother, the “natural” look is always best. Today, I’m a “young” 60, have great skin, and wear a naturally made up face. This adds youthfulness to one’s appearance. 😊
@@correoordinario2010 I had a migraine 24/7 for years.I was referred to a neurologist who asked me "how many times a month?" and I couldnt answer the question! It was just one non-stop headache. Eventually my GP prescribed Effexor for hot flashes. It didn't do anything for my hot flashes, but after 6 weeks, I woke up one day and realized "my head doesnt hurt!" I quit taking effexor for two reasons: it made me hostile and aggressive, and then the pharmacy switched me to a generic form without my realizing it, and the generic form made me feel like I had bugs in my head. So I stopped. But the headaches have stayed few and far between, like only once every few years. I have Gabapentin to take now as needed. I won't take an SSRI on a daily basis ever again; they really do turn your personality inside-out
@@correoordinario2010 I've had terrible migraines all my life, and it was finally fixed by blood pressure medication. It turned out that my very high blood pressure was triggering. It got so bad that in February this year I was admitted to hospital, where I had MRI scans of my brain. The white matter of my brain was swelling, caused by high blood pressure. The blood pressure is now normal with medication, and I have not had a single migraine, not a single headache, since February. It's now early October. This is pretty amazing for me since I could easily have at least one migraine per week.
@@correoordinario2010 I used to get horrible migraines. I was getting them more and more frequently, tried several medications, diet changes, basically just whatever my doctor recommended and nothing was really helping. Whenever I started to get one I'd have to immediately take medication and try to go to sleep before it really hit. So far, the only thing I was able to do that made a difference was getting a daith piercing in my left ear (the side the migraines always start on for me). I'm not cured or anything, but there has been a significant reduction in frequency and severity! Personally I think it's cute too, but if you don't like the look you could get a really small/delicate jewelry that wouldn't be noticeable.
Hi Anna, I am sorry that people have commented so unkindly regarding your lips, whether they are natural or not, such unkind comments shouldn't be directed to you, there are more mannerly ways to say something, as usual you are polite and respectful ❤
😱😱😱 well, I think Anna has been open book, so telling her truth only helps people to get better...if they take your opinion like many people listening to her even though she is not right always!
Thank you Anna for pointing things out despite risking others’ negative response but I totally agree with all your advice mentioned in this video. Facial embroidery, facial hair upkeep, veneers , personal scent, lash extentions , nails and many other subtle aesthetic treatments are suppose to be subtle to enhance our look. Being harmonious , groomed and pleasant to look is a form of politeness and that needs special understanding in finding the sweet spots for different individual. Like you always said , the key is always discreet , discipline and consistent while maintaining quality. And that you always nails it! ❤❤
I love how your makeup always looks so natural and perfect, Anna, that’s my goal, too. Looking at your past photos, I think going more matte as well as lighter overall made a big difference. Shiny makeup had been a trend for ages, but I prefer semi-matte. A shiny nose isn’t appealing. Love your channel❤
Re: fake lips. In a video a plastic surgeon was talking about lips and said that there is a super easy way to tell if they are natural or not: if there are wrinkles on them, they are natural (think about Angelina Jolie's lips).
@@s.h.jacobs1960White people have more lip wrinkles in general than people of color. Most of my colored friends have smooth lips even when they don't use lipgloss or chapstick. So that rule is not universal. But he said that lips never grow bigger with age. So if a person suddenly has bigger or different shaped lips, it's a given.
I would add, dressing younger than your age. I used to think that I would always want the freedom to dress like someone in their 20's but now I realize that there is beauty in choosing to dress more elegant and adapting your style the older you get.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.. I’m 24 I like dressing modestly and I’ve been trying to incorporate more elegant pieces in my day to day style but I worry it’ll make me look a few years older.
Hi Anna, I am 61 years old woman from California, who LOVES you and your videos ❤ I think you are beautiful, elegant, and classy. I enjoyed all your videos, and I have learned a lot from you. Thank you .
Thank you for promoting subtle use of perfume! I too suffer migraine headaches and nausea from perfumes. People these days are using way too much, you can smell them from yards away. This excessive use not only lacks class but is arrogant and rude to bombard other people with your chemical perfume of choice. And yes, perfumes are made from chemicals!
Perfumes are really difficult for the chemically sensitive. Same goes for domestic fragrances (plug in air fresheners, laundry detergents and fabric softeners, cleaning products, scented candles etc.).
Thank you for mentioning this perfume issue ! I have severe migraines with aura also get physically nauseous..perfume cologne and cigarettes are severe triggers ! So great to bring up I have even been to doctors where the nurses smell like they are bathing in it ! A delicate amount of scent is feminine and nice ,but smelling a perfume from a mile away is awful because it can make others sick and also can age us too !
Years ago I worked in an office with rules about fragrance. I abided by those rules, but never gave the matter much thought. One day I arrived at work and found one of my co-workers lying on the floor struggling to breathe. One of our co-workers had laid on the perfume hard and caused a terrible reaction in our co-worker. Both women were sent home for the day. The one who wore the perfume was reprimanded. Since then, I have been a lot careful about fragrances.
I have that issue and a woman who didn't like me purposefully put on perfume at work. An ambulance was called and I sued her winning 50k. She ended up losing her condo and she deserved it. Hateful bish.
Regarding the teeth I hardly advise to wear braces instead of getting veneers ... First you can keep your natural teeth which is the most important thing and second this will definitely look more natural. Of course you have to be brave for a couple of years but it's so worth it. Best decision ever
I was taught that the color you get when you squeeze your finger tip is the most becoming shade for nails, blush, and lipstick. Very natural. Thank you home ec teacher Mrs Lathrop!
My main tip: * Decide which part of your outfit is the statement piece. You might have a perfect string of pearls. This means that your neck is the statement piece. Pick a neckline that goes well with the pearls: let this determine which dress or top you wear. Now, because you decided your necklace is the first place peoples' eyes land, you need to create a path for the eyes to follow. If the neckline naturally leads the eye down, wear a skirt or pants that flatter your legs, and end the path with your shoes. Don't wear highly embellished shoes, that would risk the shoes pulling more interest than the necklace. If the neckline naturally leads the eye up, make your face and hair flatter you. Start with your neck: make absolutely certain that your foundation matches with your skin and that you blend it out seamlessly. Then choose either lips or eyes to highlight, but not both. Make certain your eyeshadow and lip colour complement not only each other, but the necklace. And make sure your hairstyle doesn't impede the view of your statement necklace. * Use the same principle when you want to make something else your core piece of your outfit. If your hairstyle is your statement, gradually lead the eye downwards but without overtaking the beauty of your hairstyle.
It does look like she did her top lip though. Her lips were not both evenly full in the old photos, only the bottom was full. Her top lip was thin white girl lip like most have (me included).
I'll be honest I actually thought you did do something to your lips....but turns out you're naturally blessed! Funny how all those comments about your lips were intended to be mean, but actually end up being a compliment!
Thank you so much for mentioning not wearing perfumes. I am very allergic and immediately get migraines from perfumes. Thank you for spreading the message ❤️
Yes, that's absolutely true ,and I agree with you Anna.. Based on perfume I have very serious health reaction for an strongest fragrance of them. Twice I have been seek on the buss. The other think based on perfumes dear ladies, please make sure that you have taked a shower before you will apply them on you! After workout at the gym, and badly smells your clothing but the perfume is mus have- it is a big no-no. With plenty positive energy 🌹
I love perfume but the only ones I wear in public are the gourmands and they always get me compliments lol. I save the harsh ones for home, I love them but I know they won’t be popular.
Oh for sure! I just say, today, on Facebook, someone dyed their hair bright green ''for Christmas''. Oh geez. It just looks awful. I mean, of course colours like blue and green will look horrible, because nobody naturally has those colours of hair.
I know they are popular these days, but to me, a tattoo is an absolute no in every single case, no matter the location on the body. It seems to hard to find ones without them these days. I'm sure many will vehemently disagree with my comment, since they are so popular. Also, more than one earring per ear to me is a no as well.
Pendulums swing, and I believe there is a shift happening where women are being encouraged to have natural makeup, unmarked bodies, etc. Likewise, young guys are being taught to perceive piercings/tattoos as red flags for wife material. Like it or not, every single sociological study on tattoo demographics in Western nations indicates that the less educated, mentally ill, single parents, people with risky lifestyles, etc. are more likely to have tattoos. Subconsciously, to others, a tattoo says "I have issues", or used to. In full transparency, the only time in my entire life I ever considered a tattoo was went I was at my lowest; and now that I'm living a great life I'm so glad I didn't...
I think tattoos are disgusting and sadly I was one of them with a tattoo! That tattoo is removed and completely erased from my skin. But that doesn’t stop me admitting my mistakes are hating tattoos! Also I don’t care about being offensive, because the more tattoos they have, the nastier attitude those people develop. They are the ones who go their own way and don’t give a sh&t about other’s opinion, so why should I care about?
My goodness! I just found your channel and you are beautiful ! I can’t believe anyone would criticize your appearance !! I’m older (75) so not trying to look young. Anyway, I love your personality also !
I agree with all you said. I'd add that the older I get the more I think that dry skin looks kind of cheap. I have it myself so I am not trying to be judgy. There's any number of reasons for having it but I do think that exfoliating and moisturising are very important. I don't just mean the heels and elbows but also just overall skin. It tends to end up looking dirty and a bit...dead. I'd add that dry hair is the same.
Be who you are comfortable with..in the the end, you’ve live your life the way you wanted to, knowing you didn’t live the life based on what people wanted you to be.
Dear Anna, Thank you for giving me the courage to give away my t-shirts. I am thankful for what you taught me. It took me awhile to shift to this "level up" in appearance, and I have felt overwhelmed, that the reason why I kept buying t-shirts is because I didn't really grow in terms of decisions, tastes, etc.. and I didn't really care, and I was really lazy. I wasn't looking at the physical aspect, honestly. How it looks. It made me realize that all I do is buy clothes, wear clothes, etc.. -- without standards for myself, but most of all, without an element of myself. An element of yourself is knowing where you look good in, and t-shirts make me look like a balloon and a bat 🦇. It has also made me realize I would ignore the small things in life, that would help me get success. That how you present yourself, how you work with yourself externally, no matter how smart and competent you are, if you couldn't bring yourself into the social world with elegance and sophistication, it will not always work out. Thank you, Anna. I am grateful for seeing u!
This is a great video, Anna. I see many young women who are covered in tattoos, and I don't know why they go through that torture and expense for something that is going to look awful as they age. I also don't understand the trend for eyebrows that look like caterpillars. I have gel nails because I teach, which means my hands are constantly in front of an "audience." My own nails chip and break and generally look awful. I don't use wild colors or designs--just light pink and white to look natural. I get many compliments on them. By the way, the pictures of you as a little girl are charming! You look adorable!
Also, as much as I love this channel sometimes you reslly forget you are privileged and blessed to be able to take care of your teeth and do things to uplift your appearance. Some, come at a free cost but some doesn't. I have to choose between paying my car insurance to be able to drive to work, or pay thousands of dollars to go to the dentist. Obviously at home care is needed, but believe me is not easy to look all polished sometimes. I know people who naturally have yelloee teeth and impecable cleaning, and still would get criticized if they don't go for a professional whitening
In my humble opinion obvious fillers and over the top photo and video editing as well as constantly worrying not to look cheap (internal judgment leading to external judgment) are great factors to not only look cheap but be cheap from the cell level to exterior while layering it with pretty cloths..
Anna you're so much more natural in your videos nowadays! I started following you maybe 5 years ago and ... oh my gosh, sometimes you were so stiff, you know, with that almost duchess kinda look but now you're so kind, airy and even fun! I cannot forget that reel you made about elegance when dancing😅😅😅😅 that's when a new Anna raised, in my personal opinion. Anyway, love your videos! ❤
I live in Brazil, a very common mistake I see here is not matching clothes and the weather. I see people wearing jeans and black shirts when it is 35 degrees outside, or short skirts when it's cold... I would love a video about elegant and not so short shorts to wear around town, I live far from the beach, so it's not okay to be dressed showing too much skin! Thank you Anna!
I don't mind overly decorated nails as much as super long nails that look like claws. Especially on the toes, I really can't stand extra long toe nails, decorated or not...
In summer I had a traditional food, and I did not know that I had a black stain on my teeth. And I had to go urgently somewhere,I had a beautiful dress on, my hair was done... and came to a point when I look myself in the mirror 😫 and see the black stain 😲 now that Anna mentioned it, IT HURTS ME TWICE 😂
My mom always said to spray perfume and then walk through the mist. I usually spray one light spritz on my chest/abdomen. You have to get within a couple of feet to smell it.
I love seeing all the pretty nails. I don’t have them myself as my right hand has a deformity (I don’t want to draw focus to it) but I still like to see what other people do.
I remember one time I bought a perfume for my roommate. It looked cute. I didn't test it. She would wear it everyday but it did not smell good. I was so looking forward for the day to come, when she had no more. What happened next was she actually liked it and kept buying it, until eventually she did not. That was a tough one!
The same happened to me! She wasn't my room mate but a collegue/friend. I recieved a perfume as a "gift" from a company I buy my scincare from, and I hated it. I should have tossed it but I showed it to her. I said it smells awful on me but she said she liked it and kept using it. The thing is that everybody seems to like that perfume but me (and my daughter 17yo) and they keep asking me where I got it (after they smelled it on her)... I always tell I don't remember🤭 but every time I smell it on somebody I almost puke and have to get away from that person. I'm happy she didn't get a new bottle when it was finnished. She never figured out that you can read on the bottle who made it...
Oh the perfume one - YES!! We really should share that one with men, I've choked my way through so many movies at the cinema, it's so inconsiderate and ruins the experience for others 🤢
Eye shapes change with the times. 1980's bushwhack thick brows, 90' ultra thin, Y2K surprised arch, and then the default- angry brow.😂 Today, thick, full brows are all the rave.☺️
Oh Anna i am so glad i discovered you before my thirties 😊 I like the way you do respect different people and different preferences. There is so much i learn from you and everytime i watch your video it feels so good! Thanks a lot for sharing with us a little of your sparkle ✨ I do agree with all and i am guilty of the first one 🤭
My niece is an esthetician but also had tattoos. I asked about tattooed eye brows. She was very firm about never going to a tattoo artist and directed me to a permanent cosmetic professional she met. I love my eye brows!!!
I tried on 2 different shoes before church yesterday to check which was more comfortable. Then I got busy and forgot to change 1 shoe, and attended church in mismatched shoes. Not a really good look, but thankfully more subtle than green stuff in your teeth!
Lol! 😄 Years ago, a woman I worked with walked into the office wearing one black shoe and one blue shoe. She didn't realise until she was in the office and we, plus some other colleagues, had a goodnatured laugh about it.
Her lipstick is her signature look. I just don't like her because she creates a cult that has titles and shit, very secluded to those people. Wish she'd help people grow like Big Machine helped her. A lot of people in Big Machine Records helped her to be famous (this is in contract as well) and she would rather start drama than actually consider those ppl. She's rich and famous anyway. And I don't like her songs anymore even if she grew a little. I like old albums. Hopefully, she'll get her karma and flunk, but that's impossible bec she already created a cult.
I don’t really care for Taylor’s music, but I never thought she looked cheap. She is super talented and has a reputation of being kind and authentic, so I respect her. I think it’s rude to put her on your video for clicks.
I'm not a fan of her music, but I agree the red lipstick looks great on her. Considering she's a billionaire, I think she would know more about looking expensive than the rest of us.
Exactly! It can look very glamorous and old Hollywood or bold and dramatic for an artistic expression. I personally have always used very bright red lipstick and it compliments my features and coloring for a wonderful effect. Not everyone can pull it off but those who do, it has the opposite affect of cheapened their look.
The scary part about tattoos is that many people can have an allergic reaction to dye…and they don’t figure it out until AFTER they’ve had work done. It’s so scary if you google eyebrow tattoo disasters. This is scary.🥴
I def. agree with the perfume one. There are two people at my gym who wear too much perfume. I don't even need to see them bc I can smell them through the whole gym 😂
I love reading the comments and listening to the video. Let's not forget that good manners, self-respect and being as well as building a good character will show your classiness. Also, know when to change your appearance for the event such as fun house parties, fancy dress etc
Anna, I just want to let you know that I think your lips are positively beautiful! I happen to also have larger lips and remember someone making fun of me when I was a little girl. It wasn't until I was older that I realized it was jealousy! I love that you are teaching women to embrace their inner beauty. God bless you sweetie! ❤🥰
I know Anna knows this, but it really says more about the person criticizing her lips than does her lips! It may not be a physical trait that cheapens their look…but their attitude!
Too much perfume makes me sick whether it's from a man or woman! I tend to look more natural but I feel that the overly done ANYTHING screams "look at me everybody!" which may get the attention that you are striving for but in the long run, subdued and classy is always the best way to go! Successful people appreciate class.
Don't bother about people talking about your lips, they are beautiful! And some of us elegant ladies are just jealous😅! I love your videos, you are really funny! 😂❤😂
Thank you Anna for a informative video. I would add that powder from dry shampoo can be very visible on the hair sometimes and immediately kills the look.
Dry shampoo has to be worked through hair on or combed through. I usually apply it after a fresh blowdry because my hair ends up getting oily by end of day and it helps extend the blow out till next day max
I think tatoos can also cheapen a persons appearance. I understand that some people do it for meaning but i believe that there are other things you can do to have a lasting memory of something. ✨
My dear ladies, as Anna often says, simplicity is the key to look polished and put together. And goes by the age; when we grow older we need to remove things from our makeup, wardrobe, beauty routine etc.
Shame on those people that criticize you for anything you are. You're gorgeous and a great expert in your field. Please don't take it to heart as it says more about them and has nothing to do with your elegance.
Personally for me it’s not about the nails decoration but the length…those super long pointed nails which have become so popular recently look just incredibly tacky 😅
Thank you Anna, to bring up perfume issue, strong scent perfume/body spray/hair spray/perfumed lotions is a nightmare for migraine & allergy sufferers ! Strong perfumes triggers migraine headache so easily, it takes just a few minutes, then ur allergy starts, sneezing & u can actually feel as if something burning inside ur nose, on a severe case u feel like throwing up and ur nose bleeds too ! I wish people get to know wat their strong perfume does to migraine & allergy sufferers . . . . . . being a little considerate, choosing a light scent perfume doesn't hurt anyone, more natural, light & bearable by all would be soooo nice ! some perfumes that triggers migraine & allergies are CK, Gucci and Versace!
My mother had beautiful full lips. Long before lip plumping was a thing. She was teased also. I always wondered why I didn’t inherit those beautiful lips. Agree with your list. Especially the lip and brow tattoos.
Wonderful video Anna! I thought of a couple other things that can cheapen your appearance and are quick fixes: Greasy hair, wrinkled clothes, too much jewelry, chipped nail polish/grown out gel and unbrushed hair
Re perfume, it's super important to remember that you go super nose blind if you wear perfume regularly. I go through phases where I wear it a lot and can't for the life of me smell it on myself mere minutes after I've sprayed it, and am. tempted to spray some more. Then I'll not wear anything for a month or two, and the first time I wear it again, just one spritz and I realise how intense it is. Or often I'll compliment someone's perfume at night, and they'll be surprised I can still smell it because they just sprayed a little in the morning.
I’ve had veneers for over 20 years. My cosmetic dentist and I spent a substantial amount of time choosing the right shade for me. Looking natural is paramount.
When I worked at Sephora and I had to do makeup for British women, I had a really bad time because their makeup was very heavy and fake and made them look like caricatures. If you put makeup on them in a subtle and elegant way, they didn't like it and they ended up applying the makeup themselves until they looked like clowns. I remember they used foundations 5 shades darker...terrible.

Bra strap or any part of your bra or panties showing. But especially bra strap.
Dolly Parton said "sweetheart, it takes a lot of money to look this cheap". Love her.
Who doesn't? Divine Dolly

All spray tan is tacky. Skin colour should not be a fashion trend.

I want to get one for a day when I get super buff
Thanks to Anna I no longer wear a hair elastic on my wrist, and I keep my nails trimmed with a very light polish. Instantly makes me look more polished.
Yes the hair tie on the wrist is such a simple bit impactful one!!
For hair elastics I use thin satin scrunchies in colors like bronze, soft golds or white silver, or other soft colors.
Ladies, hair elastic on hand is an element that may serve you or not depending on it's color, volume and if it matches your outfit.
@@aliciagc2539 agree.. but i do miss my "emotional support scrunchie" lol
The golden rule when it comes to teeth is: NEVER GO WHITER THAN THE WHITE PART OF YOUR EYES. The white of your eyes should be the lightest shade possible for your teeth. Anything lighter looks uncanny.
Great advice!
I personally find over decorated nails very tacky. 🤡
They’re only cute for pictures but really uncomfortable and unpractical for everyday wear. Even bold gel nail colours can limit one’s wardrobe choices.
I hate false nails full stop.
I agree. Decorated nails are absolutely not classy. Rather, they can cheapen an entire outfit.
even the "accent nail" alone looks tacky
Omg same. It’s ratchet lol
I’m so sorry to hear you were bullied 😢 even now as an adult …..words hurt … not okay ❤
I find your work very honest and videos so very well prepared
There is nothing more beautiful than a self assured woman who knows exactly who she is … just my opinion❤
Dripping wet or super greasy dirty hair!
I agree although i'm guilty of the messy bun sometimes 😅
Damage, aka breakage and split ends...it's better to have unbleached, naturally textured shorter hair, than trying to force a straight long bleach blonde that's broken.
Black roots with blonde hair color, unattractive!!
Was reading comments while watching the video, now I got to the part where she says this, whoops haha
The Daily Connoisseur, great etiquette also!
The secret is be natural.. just grow your own nails, wear your own hair, love your own skin.. super maintainable and beautiful
Really appreciate Jennifer Scott’s advice
I don’t understand how people say you have fake or uneven lips, you’ve had and still have a beautiful smile, in my opinion, even your natural teeth looked good on you. The imperfections are okay. ❤
Eyelash extensions have gotten out of control in my opinion! I love the natural ones but as my grandma put it “why do you need to look like Las Vegas at the gym?” 😂 I lasted a few months and stopped getting them after her honest opinion
they look so trashy
Anything permanent on your face is a no-no... What you like in your 20s is not what you're going to like in your 40s. Especially the color black might look good in your twenties but look horrible in your 40s. Now if it gradually wears away well that's a different story. If it's permanent say no.
I have had a permanent eyeliner tatoos for the last 8 years. I just need to add wings when needed. Best decision ever 😂
💯 agree
How did you get rid off migraines? Please, I suffer them too and it's a torture 😢
@@correoordinario2010 avoiding sugar is a good start
@@correoordinario2010 I had a migraine 24/7 for years.I was referred to a neurologist who asked me "how many times a month?" and I couldnt answer the question! It was just one non-stop headache.
Eventually my GP prescribed Effexor for hot flashes. It didn't do anything for my hot flashes, but after 6 weeks, I woke up one day and realized "my head doesnt hurt!"
I quit taking effexor for two reasons: it made me hostile and aggressive, and then the pharmacy switched me to a generic form without my realizing it, and the generic form made me feel like I had bugs in my head.
When choosing a colour for veneers - never go vwhiter than the whites of your eyes
That's a good piece of advice!
Thank you. Helpful advice. Keep things in harmony.
False eyelashes/extensions so long and thick, they look like garage doors opening/closing.
I prefer perfume oils. I wear Amber a lot and always get compliments. I find them to be more elegant and even healthier than your typical perfumes

I miss being able to get them. It's been years & they lasted for hours just a dot on your neck or a wrist & the smell divine.
I’m so glad you addressed the thick black eyeliner. Women in my area only put one thick black line under their eye. WHY?!?! 😅
I can’t believe anyone people say negative things about your appearance. You are so sweet and very knowledgeable as well as beautiful
Well, I have full lips, no wrinkles. "A plastic surgeon" is one person who cannot be considered the universal authority on lips.
@@s.h.jacobs1960White people have more lip wrinkles in general than people of color. Most of my colored friends have smooth lips even when they don't use lipgloss or chapstick.
Yes, good point. Dressing elegantly at any age guarantees you look good regardless of the phase of life one is in.

Overly tanned, too much perfume and overly decorated nails are my pet peeves.
Thank you for being so generous by sharing your knowledge with us. Much love from Morocco 🇲🇦 ❤️
Thank you for talking about perfumes. I also suffer from terrible headaches and can feel ill for days after exposure to them.
I like how Anna is very honest and down to earth.
I was taught that the color you get when you squeeze your finger tip is the most becoming shade for nails, blush, and lipstick. Very natural. Thank you home ec teacher Mrs Lathrop!
My main tip:
* Decide which part of your outfit is the statement piece.
Anna, you were so funny when you spoke about false eye lashes😂 I love you♥️
It does look like she did her top lip though. Her lips were not both evenly full in the old photos, only the bottom was full. Her top lip was thin white girl lip like most have (me included).
I've never gotten anything but GREAT advice from this lady❤
She's classic, and harsh makeup can look like a drag queen
I personally think dying the hair in unnatural Color would cheapen the look as well, like pink, green, purple, etc.
Ohhh, yessss, my covorker painted her hair in purple, so baaaad😂😅
Absolutely!
I genuinely don't get the popularity of tattoos. Plus they fade and bleed overtime and look worse.
@@EbbaOm-fl7fyyou are rather harsh. I have met several tattooed men who were very gentle & caring.

My goodness! I just found your channel and you are beautiful ! I can’t believe anyone would criticize your appearance !! I’m older (75) so not trying to look young. Anyway, I love your personality also !
The fastest way to be classy, is to be mindful of what you say to, and about others. Classy is not a look, it's a lifestyle. 👌🌈🙏💐🎁😘
What a great comment!
You're probably the most forthright and honest UA-cam teacher. Thank you Anna❤.
Be who you are comfortable with..in the the end, you’ve live your life the way you wanted to, knowing you didn’t live the life based on what people wanted you to be.
Thank you, Ana! Those tips are very useful. Sometimes, we don't realize that. Love you ❤
Dear Anna,
Thank you for giving me the courage to give away my t-shirts.
As many bad haircuts that I have gotten, I dare not get a facial tattoo
😂😂 so true!!
I know people who naturally have yelloee teeth and impecable cleaning, and still would get criticized if they don't go for a professional whitening
seriously
Facts
Agreed. And yeah. Some people have naturally, very yellow teeth...
I find a light smear of castor oil on the eyelashes helps with growth and tinting them is flattering.

I tried on 2 different shoes before church yesterday to check which was more comfortable. Then I got busy and forgot to change 1 shoe, and attended church in mismatched shoes. Not a really good look, but thankfully more subtle than green stuff in your teeth!

Years ago, a woman I worked with walked into the office wearing one black shoe and one blue shoe. She didn't realise until she was in the office and we, plus some other colleagues, had a goodnatured laugh about it.
I think Taylor's lipstick easily shows her dramatic expressions.
It doesn't make her look cheap at all. She carries it very well.

Cracked heels, ashy hands, bad cuticles😊
Stop 💀 please I’m been exhausted for days, don’t call me out 😭😭
Too much perfume makes me sick whether it's from a man or woman!
I’ve always thought that short nails, well, manicured, look classy, whereas long nails, don’t.
A lot of tattoos cheapen the appearance of a person✌🏻
All.
I second that.
Dear Anna, I salute your honesty and love you all the more for understanding us!
Im so sorry that people are so rude and speak to you disrespectfully.🌸
Wonderful video Anna! I thought of a couple other things that can cheapen your appearance and are quick fixes:
Greasy hair, wrinkled clothes, too much jewelry, chipped nail polish/grown out gel and unbrushed hair
"And trust me there are many wrong hands out there" 😂
Thank you for being honest with us and sharing all these wisdom.❤
You are right about that! Some Beauty UA-camrs do that too, and it just looks like they don't 'get' makeup is meant to enhance, not mask.
