Hahaha I loved that intro mate. I know only too well how many stuff ups it sometimes takes to spit out what you're trying to say. Besides that, great review mate. Looks like an awesome tent and I hope you get the chance to use it on a trip soon!
Looks like a nice little tent, I need to check this one out. Here in Switzerland no one ever has Hilleberg tent when you do wild camping or camping. I mean a lot of people own Hillebergs but they all use it for Sweden, Finnland and Norway Expedition and own the big ones. I myself own the Soulo sand color ( and also love my Jack Wolfskin Tundra 2 RT) and in all my years camping I never saw a single other one or two person Hilleberg tent here in Switzerland ;) I also just did a three week trip in Corsica with it and never saw another Hilleberg on the entire island and I visited 15 Location. Everywhere i saw Quechua Tents. Cheers
Morning. Wey hey... finally a video on the sea to summit new tents. I bought the Telos TR2 plus about 3 weeks ago. I couldn’t find any reviews or videos because it’s such a new piece of kit, so I bought it a bit blind really. However I’ve got loads of sea to summit gear already and I’m really impressed with their quality. Anyway, it’s a superb pice of kit. Fantastic manufacturing quality, and lots of little new ideas as you talk about so well 😊 (you will need to buy some extra guys though!) What it’ll be like when it’s blowing a hoolie or peeing it down.... we shall see. Looking forward to your next video of it in use... Can’t wait to get out in mine to give it the test. Take care mate.
Aaah, this warms my heart to see you so excited & happy ❤️ it’s wonderful to see, truly. 😊 Freedom is nearly upon us, I’m loving your passion for the new tent & the adventures you’ll be having in it. I’m as excited as you are to see you put it to the test & see what wonderbubble adventures you’ve got up your sleeves. Your words and kindness have been a display of your good heart & soul throughout the tough times we’ve all gone through at some point this last year. I hope you have incredible times in the new tent. You really do deserve it. Sending, as always, much love 💕
I have enjoyed so many of your vids lately & smiled and chuckled at times, which is really good. But just have to say... I’ve just watched (from 5 years ago) you and Joey D in Scotland part2. Absolutely hilarious bit on that swing in the woods 😂😂really laughed out loud 🤣 & did me the world of good! Thankyou 😁❤️
Me, I'm very happy with the 2 person 2 seconds Quechua. I usually camp in places where I can't camp, sometimes in very confined places behind a bush and within two trees, usually either at dusk or at night. With a regular tent I would need light to mount it, therefore possibly giving away my position, I would always need a place where I can move around the tent to mount it, which may severely limit the good places where I can pitch. Its great to just see a spot, "landscape it" a little, then throw the tent and its done. Sure its a heavier tent, but its very spacy, can fit myself, all my gear and even a second person if needed.
Sounds like you’re not allowed out? Feel for you, in Sweden we spend our solitude in nature. Nothing makes you finding balance and strength as good as being out in the forests. Thanks for the review.
Oh Hazey, I feel ya! I've used a Big Sky International Soul 2 for a few years now, it's exactly what I've always wanted in a tent. Simple, ample, elegant and UNIQUE! Always enjoy your vids, bro.
My brother and I are about to launch our ultralight tent on amazon we are really happy. We think its the best ultralight 1 person tent for $99 that's under 2.7 lbs!
Just bought one Hazey - it's your fault! Thanks for your insight and fun - Just finished 7 days on Arran in a Snugpak Ionosphere. - was brilliant but cramped - wanted more space. Thanks for the help with the choice.
Hey mate- literally subbed just from watching the intro. Lobster on the coals? Bush craft? Accidental ice bath? End her on a pull of whiskey? My kind of content!
Hi mate good review, you mentioned the MSR and said you were put off them as you had to pitch inner first. If you buy the specific footprint for whichever msr version you have it has eyelets on each end, you can then put the poles in the eyelets to form the frame then put the outer layer on first keeping the inner dry or if you don't have the foot print you use para chord tie an eyelet at each end put poles in eyelets and frame will stand up. Take care out there, leave no trace. cheers.
I've just gotten back in to camping, last time would have been when I was a lad in the Scouts. I can't believe the little features these tents have that make assembling so much easier. Colour codes, instructions, etc... I just thought had got a tent and struggled along with it. That was my memory as a scout anyway. 😂
LOVE this tent! So versatile and roomy!! The pole bag light diffuser is brilliant! Nice features; it's really what I've been looking for, so thanks for the review. Looking forward to seeing you use it.
Just bought a couple of sets of stickers & patches. No new tent yet, probably not until next year. I'm still using one I got for $7.00 at the Salvation Army store, with a large tarp over it. Seems to work fine. I do my camping from my motorcycle, so size & weight are less of an issue.
What’s up brother, hello from Boise Idaho. My wife and I have been watching out for a couple years, but I don’t comment much. But I was feeling it this time, I always appreciate the love you put out and want you to know there’s some of us out there that feel the same. Much love, keep enjoying life and living it to the fullest my Man. 🤘💪. A nice tent, hopefully you get some good years and good adventures with it. Reminds me a lot of the REI quarter dome
Its really cool to see Sea to summit thinking outside the box and trying to take backpacking tents to the next level!! Because ultralight are a must have right now and high volume is also a big thing nowadays. But they even went a step further and added uses for the items(stuff sacks) that are normally useless except for holding your tent parts together. Multi purpose stuff sacks, brilliant! They know camping! I separate my tent poles from the tent so it fits better in my pack. Super easy to do with this already setup into 3 parts. Like you said though i m also curious to see how it holds up in a hard rain? I'm assuming for the cost it has taped seams so that's good but the area in the roof with the vent will rain get in? That vent should be down lower and angled away from the mesh inner. But it may still work just fine. Its just that rain does come in sideways at times with a hard wind. One other worry i have is the claw style hooks for the rain fly. Will they wear out after a while and not stay hooked to the tent? Its a neat idea and they were probably just trying to save weight in certain areas with this design. Lastly keep in my the Alto version is a semi free standing tent where as the Telos versions are fully free standing! That's a big deal to me! I hope they have a one man in the telos version?! I want one!! But will settle for the Alto one. Its cool they made a 4 season version aswell. I think i am a buyer as soon as this tent comes out! Stay safe all. God bless and hike on!!
I believe You mean PLUS version that is 3+ season version and has a fabric inner? I have one, and I love it, water can collect on the vent on tr1 too when fabric gets moist and then starts to seep to the fabric, has not gone throuh it so far but that is just a question of time, ofcouse there is closeable vent under it and then even more fabric under that so, it is unlikely that this is going to be a major problem unles You are under constant rain many days, then maybe? Have not heard anyone complaining about that.
Lock down buy? Guitar here, it plays rain or shine, night or day, a 24/7 joy that never says no.... As you, yourself, are, Sir Haze. Keep well fella, regards to Joey von D, all the best from North Nottinghamshire

✋ Bought a new military 2 man French tent and tested it on top of binevenagh mountain a couple off weeks ago on the North coast of Ulster, great tent and only 45 pounds, great video's haze and as they say here in Ulster....keep er lit😉
@Mark Hepworth These military tents come with no names mate, but I think I seen the same tent on the website (Military Mart) for an even better price at 29.99, it definitely looks like the same tent....good luck 👍👍👍
I love this video so much I ended up buying this tent. Other comments about the vent allowing water in-I live at 8,400 ft in the Colorado rockies & had it set up for some mighty windy rainy spring days with no problems. I also used it on Pender Island BC for 4 nights in June, rained ALOT every night & really hard throughout one day. Windy too & no problem with rain coming in through the vent. It's not all that much of a gap & you can zip it shut completely. I don't know why you'd have it zipped open in the rain. The entire tent is mesh, you can vent the bottom of the fly doors & get circulation without using upper vent opening especially if it's windy. I completely agree with him on tying back the vestibule, completely silly design. The only tie back for each side is almost to the bottom of the fly corners-only one tie back? Was it an overlook? Definitely needs another tie back up higher.
What was it called again mate? 🤣 that intro was awesome. God I cant wait to get back out crayfishing and bushcrafting again and yes I've got loads of new bits and pieces to try out cause I've been buying as I'm sure others have too. Glad you're doing ok mate and you got life shit sorted. Stay safe mate
Great video, many thanks. There's lots to like about this tent as you say, it's cleverly thought out, and for a solo traveller it looks a great combination of liveable space and light weight. It will be interesting to see how it stands up to wind and rain in real life use. The HH seems quite low at 1200 for both fly and floor, and the upright sides could catch a strong blow. I hope you'll get a couple of nights out with it before too long and let us know. All the best.
Thanks for the video Hazy, but I don't like the tent. If it's lashing down or windy, or both...you're stuffed! Just my own opinion. The search for the perfect tent continues....Take care and keep making your great videos.
You get a lot of naysayers in UA-cam land. That said.... if you're still using this tent in 2 years I shall eat my hat. Reminds me of the Airopress coffee thing. Love your channel. Even when you're describing the "best" tent with the word 'flummoxed'. Cant wait to see you pitch this on a windy hillside.
looks like it can be installed outer fly first but leaving the outer attached to the inner when packing. the poles can be removed (undo the clips for the inner, then remove the poles from each corner eyelet. remove the poles completely and roll both inner and outer together like a Swiss roll. you'll probably need a bigger bag to store it like this though. it's gonna be fast to set up the next time too. most ultralight big agnes and msr tents do this too.
Hiya Haze, this might be a new addition coming to my tent closet :D. You mentioned the MSR and not being able to put the fly up 1st... I've got the hubba hubba and with the footprint as you have with this tent you can put the fly up 1st and take it down with inner down 1st
we dont backpack any more(too old and lazy)but we did use to..infact for a year my wife and I lived in our tent (Saunders backpacker 2) through Europe and walked and wild camped on Offa's and north downs ....so question is ..where do you store all your soaking wet gear ,wet, cold boots...wet weather gear wet pack?? also where would you cook in a blizzard or a storm...looks a faff to put the fly up first and then the inner over those 2 middle struts.... but great video tho ,love your stuff on here cheers
That is wicked! looks good, different set up options, the light bar..... a light bar mate! Already got 1 lockdown tent that I haven’t used, if I had the pennies I’d be tempted to get another 😆

I use the air Airopress at least once a week. Life isn’t everything you see in a video mush.
@@HazeOutdoors ha ha ha! Touché!!
@@HazeOutdoors Always like to comment. Helps the UA-cam algorithms. Never with such neggy vibes though. Dont know what came over me!
It’s all love hun
Great review. looks SWEET!
Good to hear a great review and nice ending with some nice thoughts 👍 🙏
looks like it can be installed outer fly first but leaving the outer attached to the inner when packing. the poles can be removed (undo the clips for the inner, then remove the poles from each corner eyelet. remove the poles completely and roll both inner and outer together like a Swiss roll. you'll probably need a bigger bag to store it like this though. it's gonna be fast to set up the next time too. most ultralight big agnes and msr tents do this too.
That is a quality tent well designed brilliant Hazy
Nice review video Mr Haze 👍. Are those socks part of the, famous wooly jumper 🤣😜🤪🙏
Cheers for this review! As someone who's 6'2" I've got my eye on this one. Some of the features seem a bit quirky but well thought out.
Hiya Haze, this might be a new addition coming to my tent closet :D. You mentioned the MSR and not being able to put the fly up 1st... I've got the hubba hubba and with the footprint as you have with this tent you can put the fly up 1st and take it down with inner down 1st
Sea to Summit make awesome products. ✌
Lmao ❤️❤️❤️❤️Love the into mate. Open and honest what I love about you 😎😎
Thumbs up for a great review Haze.
we dont backpack any more(too old and lazy)but we did use to..infact for a year my wife and I lived in our tent (Saunders backpacker 2) through Europe and walked and wild camped on Offa's and north downs ....so question is ..where do you store all your soaking wet gear ,wet, cold boots...wet weather gear wet pack?? also where would you cook in a blizzard or a storm...looks a faff to put the fly up first and then the inner over those 2 middle struts.... but great video tho ,love your stuff on here cheers
