Your hard work to further you child's education is commendable. New subscriber here.
Thanks and welcome! 🤗❤️
I came here because I just found 180 Days of Spelling & searched reviews.
You’re so right about TGTB LA & their handholding. I’m still using it, however I’m on my 3rd yr now & I’m not satisfied with the lack of spelling, reading comprehension, & sentence structure.
I’m on the hunt/research to possibly piece our LA together. I’m a little nervous about it, but excited at the same time to make it our own.
Thank you for your recommendations!
Hug that sweet, cute baby!
Your going to do great! You're doing the right thing by researching. I would suggest adding prayer and look for signs of peace as well. You know your child best and good will come from this! ❤️
You had me cracking up with the happy feet. I'm loving your channel!
😂🤣
I'm always messing something up word wise. My brain is recovering from having the twins! 😂🤣
Rod and Staff English is Christian and affordable. I am planning to use it alongside The Good and The Beautiful Language Arts..since one is black and white but very thorough and the other is colorful and not as thorough but fun..it will be a good mix. Thanks for sharing your picks.
Thanks! I hear great things about Rod and Staff.
I appreciate you talking about how budget impacts the curriculum your able to buy. We’re a single income family and there is definitely curriculum I wish we could afford, but it’s just not doable. I think a lot of people are in similar situations and have budgetary restrictions, it’s just unfortunately not something talked about a lot on social media. I’ve really enjoyed using Hartcourt and you can’t beat the price! We use the art and health & fitness. With Hoffman Academy do you do the paid membership version? I have been using the free version to teach myself and my daughter wants to learn now. I was wondering if the paid version is worth it.
Thank you. As I've sat with this, I have no idea why I was feeling some type of way about my budget. I'm glad I shared now. Well I know why but I needed to get over it. I'm not on UA-cam to lie. I'm here to be authentic and share the truth about homeschooling. The good, glitzy/ glamorous, bad, and ugly.
Okay. So with Hoffman academy --I have no reference for music so it's worth it to pay it for me. I'm learning along with my kids. Is there a way for you to do a free trial before you buy it? I would hate for you buy it off of my recommendation and you hate it! 😬🤦🏾♀️
@@ShardaeRenee I love your authenticity ❤️. Thanks for your thoughts on Hoffman Academy!
THIS! You hear a lot of “if a curriculum is not working, you can switch to another one”, or “you’re not married to a curriculum, you can switch anytime”. These comments get tossed around with such ease that I’m conflicted every time.
It actually irks me.
Yes I get it, your & your kiddo’s sanity is important, but so is the money that was spent on said curriculum, ESPECIALLY if you’re a one income household.
Shoot, I still have the old TGTB curriculums, started-but-not-finished because they were considered advanced, I didn’t throw them out. I bought the new revised versions but we’re going back to finish the old versions as soon as my kids are academically able to complete them.
You are so refreshing to listen to!
Thanks!
Seems like you have some really good choices! Good Luck🥰
Thank you!! 😊
My son will be in 2nd grade in the 2023-24 school year as well but we started writing with ease level 1 around week 26 of our current school year. We are loving it! It has really helped with his reading comprehension and answering questions in complete sentences. I’m considering adding easy grammar in 3rd grade. I also use the sonlight reading book list! I keep seeing that 180 days of spelling I might have to check that out.
Yay! 🤗 We're only in week one with WWE and we're loving it as well. I'm also loving 180 days of spelling & EG.
Jack Kris publishing is secular, affordable, and the writing is very structured as well as their grammar curriculum.
Budget plays a huge role in our homeschooling. Thank you for sharing that. I was looking into Writing with Ease but didn't this year. Maybe next year! Please keep us updated on how you like it. Your baby girl is so cute!!!! New Sub here
