This is great! Thank you! In your opinion after using it a while, do you think the explanations are “deep” enough? And do you think the games are very time consuming? (I really dislike playing games because I’m always in a crunch for one on one work while watching my toddlers). One review I listened to said Apologia didn’t go deep in explanating things compared to MWC, but I know many people love Apologia. My incoming 1st grader really struggles with math and spatial reasoning. She memorized lots of things, but there’s no deep understanding. (I.e. She can count to 100 but can’t tell me what comes before 20!) I’ve been leaning towards MWC because I’ve heard it’s so good at explaining but I am already dreading it because of the reasons you mentioned. (And your review was so helpful!! Thanks to you, I have a plan for moving forward with my mathy soon-to-be 3rd grader doing FTS)

Do i need could this curriculum be my primary ordo i need a supplement? I bought in all subjects for the upcoming year

Wow, I'm only a few minutes in, and I already love your content. The glory is definitely being laid upon this Earth. I went to church this Sunday, and almost 10 newcomers joined the church which has a small amount of member. Also, 200 people joined the night class for teaching on zoom. It's definitely a strong pulll so this is confirmation. I myself feeling it too.

I know this sounds ghetto but if you put a little bit of perm down your pipes for whatever reason it eats up all the hair😊

I am sure I had a similar blowdryer years ago 🤣 and there's nothing wrong with your old school flat iron- it's probably better than most out there today. I'm afraid to try the blowdryer because the texture of my hair is extremely tight but I might try it. Thanks for sharing so that others can learn from you. 🌻

I am often impressed with your ability to juggle different age levels and that your realistic with your time and what you can accomplish. It took me a long time to be able to prioritize and put boundaries in place. Thank you for the reminder about being mindful of this time of year on YT. I am someone who struggles with the onslaught of curriculum videos. I’ve had to setup boundaries for myself in order not to take it to a negative place.

I understand the feeling overwhelmed. Give yourself some grace. We homeschool year-round as well, which has worked out well for our family. I hear you on not taking in too much curriculum content.

We do activity eggs during Lent. We don't use it for an egg hunt though. During specific times during lent (Sundays, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday etc..) the kids get to open an egg. We talk about what the item in the egg represents and read a Bible verse. The kids take all the items they found in the eggs and make a prayer area. I have those cast irons and the Dutch oven lid gave me a run for my money when I ruined it 😂. I clean mine with sea salt and a potato. Lodge is a good set to have.
