National Park Passport Book | Get Stamps!!

- Amanda is constantly talking about getting stamps in her “book”. This video explains what that book is and how we use it. You can purchase the books at almost every National Park or Historic Site, and stamps are available at every site listed in the book.

We always buy stickers, patches and hiking stick medallions. Didn’t know about the passport stamp books til we already had a bunch completed. I think we’re sitting around 16 parks not counting monuments.
WV Outdoorsman Ron gets the hiking medallions... we love collecting from the parks...
Okay so you put the stickers in each year (or as catch-up) and then get the stamp as you visit. Okay I get it now lol. I was collecting stickers and putting in as we visited. Lots of storage.

I only wish I had this book when we first started exploring... it makes me want to go back to places we’ve already been just to get stamps 😁
@@WanderLost Same! I've been to half of the National Parks yet just got my own independent passport. It sucks knowing you've been there but cant get the stamp
I was in Cumberland Gap National Forest when I got my Access pass. Being disabled i got my pass for free and they also gave me a stamp book. I didn't get the sticker one. But I am not complaining about anything free. It's beautiful there but no camping. The ride to top of the mountain is something. I watched a woman jog all the way up! Have fun collecting and visiting all the places.
Thank you for sharing your story. We got our National park pass because Ron is active duty Air Force, but then when I saw there was a chance to get a stamp book AND play with stickers, I just had to have it... it makes me feel like a kid every time I get it out 😁😁

Mile High Campers our boys aren’t interested in getting their own, but they like helping me find the stamp pads at each of the parks...
I bought the Explorer edition and it's spectacular. I've had it for about 6 years now. Getting new stamps is apart of our travel plans. I also do rubbings on my pages, where I figured an important figure stood, the keyhole at Independence Hall, the Jefferson Rock, or whatever. I even added a whole section for Canada. We love doing the Passport book!
Awesome! Here in Custer State Park they have rubbing markers on all of their big trails and if you get all the rubbings and take the papers to the rangers, they will give you something 😁 we haven’t completed it, so I’m not sure what you get.
@@WanderLost I have rubbings of where the Boston Massacre happened, Old North Bridge, Fords Theater, "Saturday" at Monticello, all kinds of cool to me type of historical stuff.🤙

The Explorer edition allows for extra pages, it carries all of my expedition utensils, and brochures, maps, etc. We are going to pass ours down, dad, me, and my daughter.

Good video! I just bought the little passport and am debating switching to either yours or the binder one. I know yours has a space for every park, monument, etc. but what about parks like Great Smoky Mountain which offers about ten different cancellations? Does it have a spot for all of them?
Sarah Perrin it only has a spot for one stamp on the page with the picture, but at the end of each section/region it has blank pages that can be used for extra cancellations... I had to do that for a few places that have more than one cancellation...
so you put stickers in the book to places you have not been to? Can you buy a sticker the same time you visit or are the not always available when you need them so you just need to buy a pack every year?
For the stickers, yes. I add them in for everywhere, but I only get the passport stamps for places we have visited. The stickers are only available at certain locations, so I have the mindset that when I see them I buy them.

Is anyone having trouble with the spiral neck holding the pages? Are there any solutions?
Oh no! Mine hasn’t given me any problems so far. I’m sorry yours is messing up!
Just Remember if you forget your Book they sell Passport stamp stickers so when you get back home you can the peel and put the Stamp in your Book
