I like this video thank you and I also have a similar passport book to collect the cancellation stamps because they are a nice keepsake
My gf and i bought both the big passport book and little book, i got the big book and she the small book. When i was asking the park ranger about these i said i do travel photography and i wont like carrying that big book along with all my camera gear, she said they offer small blank sticker's to get the stamps on then you can place them in the book. they sell for a $1. thanks for doing a video about these, I think its a really cool idea.
Yes, that's true! The big book, is kind of bulky! And yes, I've seen those stickers available to stamp, which is a nice alternative! Thanks for sharing that info!

I bought those small round stickers stamp. Came across a light house and left my book at the hotel. So now I keep some in my purse just encase I don't have my book with me.

I like this video, thank you! We bought the collector’s edition as well. We are visiting North Carolina and bought it at the Craggy Gardens stop on the Blue Ridge Parkway. You and your family should definitely visit if you haven’t already! Hint: you’ll use the “extra cancellation pages” for the Southeast Region because there are 8+ visitor centers, each with their own cancellation stamp! I had to read up about the cancellation stamp because that terminology was confusing, but I also have never used my real passport/been out of the US.
Thank you! Yes, we've found that several places have more than one location for stamps so you move very quickly to the extra cancelation pages!
I just bought mine a couple of days ago. I have already stamped one upside down. I came up with this idea about putting a sticky note on the space that way if I make a mistake the first time I correct it, then take the sticky note off and put the correct stamp on.

Full time RV'ers?? That's my dream! I've been trying to talk my husband into it for the past 2 years! I may have to hear more about your journey!! Have fun in the Smokey's! It's so fun! We just got back from the Rockies! I joke and tell my husband I must have gypsy blood! I want to see everything!
My daughter and I started this adventure in 2020. My wife doesn’t like to go just for a stamp but we talk her into it 😂😂. I feel she can see and learn some history that doesn’t get taught in school. We are going to do all of Kansas and most of Missouri over Labor Day weekend. We completed South Dakota last fall and half of Wyoming this summer!!!

I don’t know how I didn’t know about these books! We just picked up a classic while we were in Hawaii on an incentive trip. Now planning to hit up a few of the sites that are local to us this summer… they didn’t have the collector book at our store… that’s gorgeous! I’ll have to keep my eye out for one in our travels
They're so fun! I"m always looking to see if we will be near anywhere on our travels. The worst is when you are near a stop and you forget your book! ;)
I noticed you had a cancellation with no sticker/stamp next to it. Is it hard to find the sticker/stamp?
I also love using my National Park Passport book. Unfortunately there isn’t any groups that I could find to share my love of them. So I created a Facebook group! It’s named “Passport to National Parks” I would love if you joined and share with you’re friends that also love Collecting passport cancelation stamps

Yes exactly like pictures. Who really looks at them besides yourself? Who really cares of all the countries I've been to? Me? Nobody really asks me. You would be surprised to know how travel is not a big interest for many. From my experience.
I saw the passport, little one at Wilbur and Orville Wright Memorial park in Kitty Hawk a few days ago. I think it's a great idea however, maybe when I was younger. I've been around the world seen many places so why start now? But this is great for families and frequent visitors to state parks. I am a veteran so the no fees entrance was super. Thanks for explaining how this works. I am more into buying the passport patch. Do you have any of those? Maybe do a video on your collection? Thanks again.
First off, thank you for your service! I"m glad you can enjoy the parks without any fees! I have seen the patches, but we haven't gotten any! The kids enjoy the junior ranger programs and then putting the national park stamp on their own pages when they finish! I'll have to share our collection of our travels! Thank you for the suggestion! I have one question. I noticed on the 2019 stamp series that there is one with the American flag and a bald eagle. Where do I put this one? I haven’t found out where to put it yet. Thanks.
I believe each stamp series has a sticker in that place that does not coordinate with a National Park. I'm not entirely sure why they don't use that space for a park! We haven't used them or placed them anyway in our book! (But that's a good question!!!) :)

This is true! New parks are constantly being added, so you'll definitely want to double check the areas you are visiting. However, we like our National Park Passport book to document our visits with dates and stamps. I've found that stamping the book is more convenient and lasting than stamping my phone's google search! :):)
