  • The Junior Ranger Program at the National Parks is a great activity for families, scout programs, homeschool, or just about everyone. The materials are adjusted to be informative and fun no matter your age. Almost every park participates in the program, and there are 10 virtual-only options too! When you enter the park ask at either the Visitor Center or the Park Entry Gate about the program.
    Some parks do have entry fees.

    *Considering this program with your grandkids? Seniors (age 62+) can purchase an annual parks pass too. And it's good for everyone in the car!! Consider doing the Junior Ranger program with your grandkids and build memories. Seniors can purchase a lifetime pass to all National Parks for only $80 ($20 for an annual pass).     To find a park near you, visit www.nps.gov/. Select your state from the pull-down menu, and then select the park name. At the bottom of each park page there will be a listing for the Junior Ranger Program specifically or for Kids Activities. this is where you can find the activity book.     There is a Scout Ranger Program for your whole den/pack. This is earned through cumulative den/pack activities at the park. No special book needed. Unfortunately, the badge is not inclusive of Girl Scouts and includes only the Boy Scout logo with the NPS logo. www.nps.gov/subjects/youthpro...
