this content is legit fire. I hope you extend future pods to an hour length because you both have a lot of insight that it should be pretty easy to lengthen it. great episode!
From what Alex has said the views at this length are struggling so thinking they want to shrink not expand, although I agree I love the content. Maybe split it up into 6 videos for UA-cam algorithm and then combine into one long video for those of us that like it. Title each 6 with the dumb “Greatest”, “Crazy”, “Unbelievable” and then give us the one sane titled video.
I was interested in Ben Brode's next project, but completely forgot about it until the massive media campaign for Snap's launch. The game is awesome-- the design is deceptively complex and rewarding, but easily the best part is seeing a community born from the creation of a new game. You both are awesome, and I hope this platform affords you the success we've seen in the past for streamers covering newly launched games.
I look forward to these Snapchat videos every week now. I rarely ever comment or like videos but I wanna make sure to support this as much as possible! Thank you guys for all you do for the game 🙏🏾
8:55 i tried this tip today, it actually work. Baiting the opponent into you are over thinking or don't have great play and if they snap instantly punish him for it, feels good 😁
Speaking of Snapping. I get so into the game itself that I forget that snapping is a mechanic. I'll play 5 games, win them all and realize I didn't snap once. Just me?
Snapping is a modern take on backgammon’s “doubling” that really separated the game from others (much like Snap now) What makes Snap much more fun is not knowing what your opponent has! In backgammon everyone knows all the piece locations and odds
I've heard a lot of people say the snap mechanic is unprecedented on card games and comparing it to poker, which might be true. But it's worth pointing out that the mechanic is ripped directly from backgammon, where it's called doubling.
Another great episode, legitimately look forward to watching both of these each week! I think the point about the pace of the games allow the SNAP mechanic to work so well. You hit the nail for me when you brought up how long some of these other games are. The bad beats can suck, but the fact that they occur in 3-5 minutes migrates the frustration so much. I try to play each game mindful of the cubes. If I have the pieces I would want in a given game, I will snap (usually before) I drop my first big play. I treat it like the Flop, the Turn and River that you see in Texas Hold ‘em. Helps a lot.
Usually not to fan of podcast, even if content is interesting it usually last too long. I think you got it, nice format. Keep it up Alex :) Also @Cozy kinda like your mood dude good content on your end too^^
Loving the content, and I love your ideas of shouting out the artists on the cards. Get more artist recognition out there! They did a great job on this game.
Loved the snap draft again. You two are awesome to listen to and I have thoroughly enjoyed these snap chats. Also Cozy I must agree I dig the pixel variants of the cards. Have you seen the Professor X pixel one it’s amazing.
I love this show, you guys. I'd love Snap to add a feature that allows you to pick which varients of a card you want to play and have them rotate so it's random each round. That way you get to enjoy all of your favorite varients and cards.
I learned to snap by playing a pool 2 Agatha deck. For 2 days. I have enough boosters for like 5 trips to infinity for Agatha now. When you CAN'T play the game, and snapping is your best means of control, you really really have to get good at it.
Regarding the snap mechanic, one of my favorite mobile games I used to play was similar to Monopoly, but with bigger stakes. Your money was linked to your account and you had to stake certain amounts to play games and if you won, you took everything you won, but if you lost, instead of going to 0, you go negative and all the negative is taken from your account. Similar feeling, you could forfeit early and cut your losses or wait until the end game where the wins and losses get huge.
I snap back on people who snap early, especialkly turn 1, but not because of anger/pride, more because it's just very funny, like wakeup reversals in fighting games.
I just entered pool 3 but i swear i was slowing down my collection level before cuz i wanted better odds of getting an armour varient and it been like 2 weeks of me just waiting and not getting her and the worst part is, is that i havent bought any other variants cuz i dont want to risk the armour i get costing 1200 instead of 700 and i only have 1600 gold
Damn it would be awesome if we got an arena mode with this "the snap draft" kinda style and its like hearthstone where you battle to 12 wins or 3 losses or something similar
i know this will probably never happen but i wish that there was a way to trade variants or reroll them for a different one for the same card, i say this because i really dislike pixel variants.
I think they should add things like artist name and maybe a little factoid or did you know section on the back of the cards. Or perhaps a power level type thing like they did with the og trading cards
I've definitely fallen for the multiples of the same character variants. I'll get the Scottie Young, and then get the ArtGerm the next day... gotta have both, they're so different. Then you get hit with the Max Grecke or the Dan Hipp (so different again) I'm sure the shop knows and keeps giving you variants of the same characters, rather than ones for characters you don't have them for yet.
@@AlexanderCoccia the reason I was asking about the turn one is because I see 🙈 other players in some of my game play where they snap way to soon. What cards do you recommend with pool 2 to use with both Agatha and captain marvel together to climb up the ranking to infinity??
Waiting on turn 6 makes people forfeit a lot aswell, lots of games that happened to me while i was actually losing, so i just start waiting around and most of these moments opponents might forfeit simply because you could be strategizing a 3 lane victory
You guys going to do anything about the Vibranium Forge event running until the 28th? It looks like there is a daily prize you can get, which today is an Iron Heart pixel variant. I'm currently using the following: # (1) Iceman # (1) Nightcrawler # (2) Okoye # (2) Scarlet Witch # (3) Nakia # (3) Wave # (4) Jubilee # (4) Enchantress # (5) Black Panther # (5) Vision # (6) Odin # (6) America Chavez Got about 7 more matches to get today's variant.
My 2 favorite snap content creators! Great content.. my opinion on ranking is that its not worth it , its way too much work and time for mediocre rewards , after 40-50 i just stop caring.. plus the minute you try new decks you lose a bunch so its just meh
Yea alright, if I play against someone with a total pixel variant deck, I'm going to tip my head. And I don't have an issue with the pixel variants overall, I have a problem with the overreliance of the game on them. I only get 6 new variants every day and I'm waiting 2 weeks now for a variant that I can spend my gold on. I only have two criteria: not pixel, a card that I actually have in play. Nothing, for 2 weeks. Many of the variants are amazing, but the store for them needs a major overhaul if they want to make money out of them.
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't like most of the art in this game. Some variants are absolutely jaw dropping, but I think most are very generic looking. I would love an official draft mode, I love limited formats
Variants can offer mild tactical advantage as well. - you can tell your unique variant when it gets played via Cable/White Queen, which tells you if this card was part of their orginal deck (plan) - I have not seen any cards that add randomly, like Agent 13, add variants. Only OG forms. So offers more insight as mentioned above. Example: opponent drops my very niche/ distinctive Bucky Barnes, so knowing that they may not actually have a reliable way to destroy him themselves.
You can know that when clicking on a card, at the bottom of the screen it will tell you where it's coming from. Every single generated card is like that, useful for exemple when they play moongirl, and then a dino, if they played the copy, you'll know by clicking on the card and read at the bottom
I HATE snapping in this game. I swear the universe LOVES to punish me when we both fully commit to snapping. I've been trapped in the 40's for fucking WEEKS because every god damn time I'm sure I have the game won my opponent pulls out the ONE fucking card that wins every GOD DAMN TIME. Fucking SUCKS!
Thanks for watching! Be sure to catch COZY'S VIDEO right here: ua-cam.com/video/CnnAnT3LodI/v-deo.html And be sure to come say hi on Twitch!
You're the man Alex! Thanks for another great episode!

It basically is an hour, just spread across two videos, one on Alex’s channel and one on Cozy’s
It's an hour across two videos. It needs to pick up steam, which it will, before length increases. Share their videos though!

Thank you so much for your wonderful best wishes!
I love how everyone thinks Pot Limit raises in Poker is this wild and new mechanic. Overpower did it in paper form in 1995
There was a little too much "foreplay" in this video. lol! Loved it. Thanks you two!
I look forward to these Snapchat videos every week now. I rarely ever comment or like videos but I wanna make sure to support this as much as possible! Thank you guys for all you do for the game 🙏🏾
Thank you so much for your support!! It means a lot
8:55 i tried this tip today, it actually work. Baiting the opponent into you are over thinking or don't have great play and if they snap instantly punish him for it, feels good 😁
The idea of doubling the stakes comes from backgammon, it's actually a game mechanic that goes back to Roman times.
I enjoy these two guys separately, such a good idea to do a joint podcast!
More to come!

We're workin on it!
You guys are awesome on you own, together you are an OP combo play!
Glad you think so!
Look at these 2 legends. Their channels are growing. Future looks good for this game. Honestly, good sh*t
Another great snapping video, can't w8 for more this is my favorite ones on this channel

So fun to watch😀On a serious note - I was complaining about not having ladder floors and you Alex, provided legit explanation 👍
Awesome! Thank you! Yeah, the ladder floors kinda gotta be there lol
Bro also loved your pool transition guide.. and I kindda finally unlocked my first card in pool 3 and its human torch .. i feel bad lmao
Just wanna thank you both for your very helpful advice,it is always appreciated.
Oh, I’ve been looking for a deeper dive into snapping. Love the series!!
More to come!

They explain it like at any point you could possibly KNOW you're going to win. xD
More co-op draft plays! Love the idea!
As i know, multiple captain marvel cards dont work correctly on board
This mini podcast series is the best content about marvel snap, never disappoint
Amazing!! Can't get enough of this content!! The 2 best Marvel snap creators 💕
Thank you so much 😄

Cozy is totally homelander from The Boys! XD
I get this ALL of the time.. that or Pewdiepie😅
Holy crap I can't unsee it anymore

Never ever skip foreplay Cozy. :/
I snap back on people who snap early, especialkly turn 1, but not because of anger/pride, more because it's just very funny, like wakeup reversals in fighting games.
I also don't have any four play😂😂😂😂
Is this available in podcast form so I can listen on the go??
So you mentioned buying variants improve odds on getting the same card better upgrades cosmetically?
Interesting
I don't think we said that, and I don't think thats true lol
?', how can we get old skin on the cards and old avatars? I saw DD on one of the skins and would love to get it

And i have Odin on his horse in my shop today sadge
Late to the party but...I love emotes! I want to chat with my opponent! I LOVE getting beaten by a good play and doing a fist bump 🤣
I’d love to see this available for Mac OS
Damn it would be awesome if we got an arena mode with this "the snap draft" kinda style and its like hearthstone where you battle to 12 wins or 3 losses or something similar
I would LOVE that!
i know this will probably never happen but i wish that there was a way to trade variants or reroll them for a different one for the same card, i say this because i really dislike pixel variants.
My current offers in the store are 4 pixel and 2 baby. I've been holding gold for a while, just waiting on a great variant.
I think they should add things like artist name and maybe a little factoid or did you know section on the back of the cards. Or perhaps a power level type thing like they did with the og trading cards

I use the baby variant of Hawkeye purely because he looks like Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes.
Pls post the show to podcast directory also! Would like to listen via audio. Thanks!
I think they made the emote art and text lines specifically to be as non-toxic as possible.
Can y’all do a section talking about different game modes that they could do? Like total power, unranked, variants only, decks reveled, etc…?
Opened the shop while watching the video. 4/6 pixel variants... Hit lvl 70 while watching. Medusa pixel variant..
I want Snap Draft to be in the game as an arena mode! It would be so much. I loved arena on Hearthstone
Can we keep a record of wins and losses for the snap draft battles?
ahahahah We'll try!
Should I be snapping in round 1 or it doesn't matter when to snap
lol no, don't snap turn one. It does matter when you snap!
@@AlexanderCoccia the reason I was asking about the turn one is because I see 🙈 other players in some of my game play where they snap way to soon. What cards do you recommend with pool 2 to use with both Agatha and captain marvel together to climb up the ranking to infinity??
Petition for cozy to improve his foreplay game!!!!!
I was today years old when I found out Cody doesn't have much foreplay.
One like = 1 prayer 🙏
Waiting on turn 6 makes people forfeit a lot aswell, lots of games that happened to me while i was actually losing, so i just start waiting around and most of these moments opponents might forfeit simply because you could be strategizing a 3 lane victory

lol no, not really doing anything with it
You both are awesome
I just now realized that I missed out on the Into the Spider-Verse variant for Miles and now I’m very very sad… 😓
Would be dope if they sold oversized 3D version of cards that you could hang on your wall. I would buy for realz
please play multiple games of snap draft it is incredible
The only skins that are needed is game boards. Chess, comic, anime any

Imagine if you had time to record these every day
lol would love to!

Seriously man. ! You’ve never heard of the doubling cube in backgammon … ?
SHINY LOGO
You should make challenge decks like only X-men deck only bad guys deck....
Just got to pool 2 now I'm acting different.
imo have fun with movement decks pool 2 is peak move deck
The snapping mechanic is not new!
Have you ever heard of Backgammon? lolz
Isnt hearthstone supposed to be pronounced with a harder a? Not herth? I mean it uses the word hearth.

snap turn 4 or 5. Minimize losing 8 cubes at all cost. my motto is if im okay losing 4plus cubes then ill play, otherwise i bail
@@joseph2000117 that's typically when I do snap. Even turn 6.
I personnaly don't like the snap mechanic, because as a casual player i feel like it makes the game too serious and elitist
If you're casual you're not supposed to have opinions anyways, you don't play enough lol.
@@joebowl8315 That's the cringiest thing i've read all my life lmao

I completely get wrapped in playing the cards and forget to snap.
