I could ecstatically watch James play a 100 minute version of an unreleased song, but I really wish they'd play more of this old stuff now. I love almost everything they've ever done (just one song, from a weighty cannon that I'm not keen on, so good going), but there was something astonishingly special about those first 7 years or so.
a mind blowing version!! this is James at their greatest! this is the James i fell in love with not what they became in the later years! hopefully the recapture this intensitity when they tour later this year!! wow
Morrissey was a huge fan of James at the time- he once said that they were the best British band. Which of course they are! The Smiths did a great version of James' "What's The World"- Moz knos a good tune when he hears one! :-)
haha! I know, I remember the first time I heard "What's the World" I thought - "that sounds really like Morrissey".. and sure enough, when I looked it up on youtube, I found the Smiths' version! Two brilliant bands! ;)
wow, if i had a tardis id go to those gigs, what lyrics that speak to me, what dancing, what inventiveness. To be one of those people on the front row, in watchin tim booth they are watching one of arts greatest
find the key ..... crazy nutty stuff you can always runaway theres nowhere you can hide follow that song right to its core Eat Sleep and eat, think, Mike Tyson, other side of nightbeat Sleep and EAT!!
Tim's jacket is............ ;) We all wore some awesome old jackets in those days - light and airy from "Driver" in Northampton and from tramps off Fulham Broadway....shorrolds alde jacket, monsieur
