I watched the whole season already and all I can say is that I'm surprised how the show has managed to make me love a character I hated, as well as make me hate a character I loved. Also, Klaus is once again the best

As someone with Autism I recognised the signs straight away. And it was wonderful and specific and natural. I'm very happy with how this actor portrayed Autism, one of the few representations on screen that are accurate and balance the common symptoms and individual differences it brings.
Is it just me or was Luther alot more likeable this season? Because think we're all aware that Luther was a long way from being people's favorite in the past seasons lmao.
He's been steadily getting better each season for me. I hated him in Season 1, as I think most people did, he was better in the second, but I really like him now. I like that they're leaning into making him a bit more of an oaf, I think it works better for humour with the character.
Only a few episodes in but he seems kinda... mentally challenged? I don't know if he's under some kinda spell but he's acting as if he's not all there, it's kinda distracting.
I like the fact that grace is insane in this timeline just like the other one. The only difference is that because the umbrella academy actually loved grace they could tell she was losing it and eventually put her out of her misery. So basically marcus died because of the sparrows lack of compassion.
Grace wasn't insane. Hargreeves and Pogo tampered with her so she'd act abnormal. I think in this timeline, she hasn't been upgraded/maintained. There's no Vanya, so no need. She's searching for a purpose, something to serve.
Honestly for me them immediately fighting makes sense, Sparrow says it themselves they’re the only superheroes and to have 6 random people with superpowers magically show up at your home and start threatening you to get out, I’d start fighting too
I hated Allison thinking she had a daughter still and I think Five is too tired at the start to really care not only did he fight the entire commission and the ending battle too. And RIGHT into this fight and getting ass handed to them.
I love the little bit where the Sparrows discuss what they want for dinner while Marcus is just kicking Luther’s ass lmao. I loved this season so much!
I took how the sparrow academy acts as Hargreaves course correcting too hard after his encounters with the Umbrella Academy in season 2. he tries to make his new academy more regimented and fix where he went wrong but doesn't realize the personality is what makes them work so well.
I've been waiting for this show to come back with a new season. Last night, started watching the show. Pretty good so far. Already on episode 3. My favourite in the Sparrows is Sloane. I call Fei "Hitchcock" because of the crows. Jayme can make people hallucinate with the spit. When anyone hit Alphonso, the pain hits back on the person. Also, dance sequence in the beginning is amazing! I believe the old guy packing the suitcase is Harlan!
9:37 Its called injury transferral (also known as human voodoo doll) it basically returns the injury back to the person inflicting it. As time passes they wouldnt have to look at the person to reflect it. Queenie from american horror story also has this power (not that many supernatural characters have this power so its very rare)

Where did you heard it because as far as i looked up everybody said it's the worst season so far. but i still watched, turns out it was really the worst season so far. It wasn't as fun, nor as compelling, nor had a good action, neither had a good character arc other than Vanya. it's really said though,coz they had the best story in their hand and threat was biggest till yet but execution was very bad. Never expected that kind of execution from my one of the favourite series.

I hope this will be explored more in next episodes. Also Sparrows seem to have so much power in the city. Even Reginald seems to be afraid of them... I wonder if he will team up with the Umbrellas at some point.
I personally wasn’t off put about how they responded to stuff because if you put it in the context of the fact that they literally just fought that giant battle against the commission, they are clearly exhausted and need a break and haven’t really had time to think about anything.
I fell in love with these characters season 1, the story is compelling and intriguing, its so unorthodox from everything else out there and yet its so artistically fabulous!
I wonder what y'all's takes on this season are going to be. Seems to be very divisive. While I was often really annoyed with characters I think the crew knew what they were doing, maybe just cranked the source material up too hard at some points, but the writing hasn't changed. Some people are livid though bc they think characters going through/doing unpleasant things = bad writing lmao
Good reaction! Definitely agree the conflicts/plot feels contrived at times, but I weirdly enjoy that when it comes to this show. The characters' intellect might take a backseat for a minute but the writers usually do a good job bringing them back on track and we still get to have the wacky story moments. At the very least its been consistently inconsistent for 3 seasons, which I appreciate. Enjoy the ride!
believe me guys it gets better!! (the cgi as well lol it was terrible in episode 1 but it does get a lot better. We’re actually getting some amazing crazy visuals this season). Season 3 is a whole different thing. Best way to describe it is a madness fucked up-fever dream it started really fast this episode but does slow down in episode 2 until about halfway through episode 4 where shit really starts picking up. And it does get emotional and very does the characters justice. We’re going to see a whole different side to many characters! It’s going to get a lot more darker and messed up. Very sick twists this season as well. It also took me until about episode 4 to really get into it but then I fuckin loved every damn minute of it and was CRAVING for more! So my advice would be : TRUST THE PROCESS and as soon as you’re there just roll with the madness😌

Yep, I’ve already binged it all. Mild spoilers: In my opinion the Sparrows were done very wrong this season. I’m interested to see if you feel the same when you see it for yourselves. I hope they come back in season 4 because it made me very mad the way they were done and those characters deserve better. Favorite Sparrow was Fei, and my favorite character now is Klaus. I think that as you go through, you’ll see that a lot of this quick pacing continues. This season is very divisive in that some things were done well, and other things were either really good or really frustrating depending on who you ask.

I love how Five is the leader of the team. Props to Aiden Gallagher that he perfectly captures an old man in a young mans body. Five is my favorite character out of all of them and he has some of the best moments of the show. The fact that he’s 18 yet on par if not better than a lot of the actors and the main cast performance wise. One thing I have to say is the long break between season 2 and 3 did not do the show favors. I haven’t watched the show since season 2 came out so it really took a while to get into it again due to not knowing everything that happened in season 2. I just jumped straight back into season 3 as I don’t want to rewatch two seasons i’ve already watched when the new content just came out. The recap of season 2 before episode 1 started was not helpful at all.
After watching I automatically knew it was going to be crazy hard to top the season 2 opener. I wasn’t overwhelmed here but I take it with a grain of salt because that sequence was *amazing*

Probably episode 1 of the season for a reason. I imagine the producers were making a lot of calls saying, "We're bringing you all in 2 weeks early to work with a choreographer."
First, I absolutely loved the Footloose scene, gotta give props to an 80’s music number. But, I am confused how there was a twelve year jump, that now Diego has a kid? May be obvious, and I just missed it. I do agree, that they all should be questioning how much has been changed in the timeline.
I watched 1-6 already (I had to go to work today, so couldn't binge it all) I plan to finish tonight. I thought it started a bit slow, but by episode 3 I was completely hooked. I don't know if you noticed that this go round there were only 16 women who got pregnant. Maybe that got lost in editing? It just struck me as odd when I watched this episode.

Harlon can sense the power in all of those that have the powers in them, he would have wiped EVERYONE not just the Unbrella Academy. Harlon admits he lost control that day and couldn’t have stopped. There is more to the story than what have been shown so far, otherwise it is lazy writing and the Umbrella academy doesn’t really do lazy writing often.
It’s definitely a chaotic season, but I really enjoyed it all! I’m honestly surprised at how well they were able to explore character origins and also tie all the plot points together without it being too hard to follow. There’s really some top tier one liners in this season too lol.

Diego, as usual, wanted to be aggressive. Five was just intrigued, Victor was trying to stop them. Luther was practically giddy when he met Sloane. Klaus was tryingto hug Ben.
you have interesting views and we all are entitled to our opinions but how they handled the situation when they arrived at the sparrows home, they tried to talk it out and be civil but it resulted to the sparrows getting aggressive thus leading to a clash (i think it was a nice introduction to the sparrows), five also probably thought they fixed the apocalypse problem this time because he has been trying twice and hasn’t gotten a brake, i’m sure he was hoping that the thirds times the charm. regarding allison, i’m sure she wanted to know if claire is still around, who wouldn’t? u would be hopeful that your daughter is still alive and just coming back from the 1960s where she faced racism and having a husband, i don’t think she had the time to really think that claire could be possibly gone in this timeline, she wanted to stay hopeful. i enjoyed the first episode, it was refreshing and different, i feel like you’s will appreciate it more as the season progresses.
Honestly I want a series following Christopher. Like how tf did that happen. Was he possibly a smaller cube when he was born? Was he once a human but some messed up thing happened like Luther with the ape body, or 5 getting stuck in the apocalypse. Like some irreversible thing where the only result was messed up.
This show continues to frustrate me until the final 2 episodes. I agree that Allison's reaction is the most nonsensical to me. I know you want to get back to her but c'mon son - she was fine in the 60s without her but not here?

One thing I have to say is the long break between season 2 and 3 did not do the show favors. I haven’t watched the show since season 2 came out so it really took a while to get into it again due to not knowing everything that happened in season 2. I just jumped straight back into season 3 as I don’t want to rewatch two seasons i’ve already watched when the new content just came out. The recap of season 2 before episode 1 started was not helpful at all.

After watching I automatically knew it was going to be crazy hard to top the season 2 opener. I wasn’t overwhelmed here but I take it with a grain of salt because that sequence was *amazing*
Based on this reaction this is definitely not a week to week way to go since every criticism you all said had me yelling just go to the next dang episode and hush. And questioning number 5s intelligence made me want to push you both. Lol
Probably episode 1 of the season for a reason. I imagine the producers were making a lot of calls saying, "We're bringing you all in 2 weeks early to work with a choreographer."

First, I absolutely loved the Footloose scene, gotta give props to an 80’s music number. But, I am confused how there was a twelve year jump, that now Diego has a kid? May be obvious, and I just missed it. I do agree, that they all should be questioning how much has been changed in the timeline.

I watched 1-6 already (I had to go to work today, so couldn't binge it all) I plan to finish tonight. I thought it started a bit slow, but by episode 3 I was completely hooked. I don't know if you noticed that this go round there were only 16 women who got pregnant. Maybe that got lost in editing? It just struck me as odd when I watched this episode.

@@Izzyneedscoffee not fully, there were 43 women originally … The 7 Sparrow’s leave 9 unaccounted for. Even without the 6 Umbrella’s there are more missing … there are 21 babies unaccounted for from the original 43

@@matthewrickard5050 not sure I follow, if the explanation answered it for the missing numbers that would imply that what Harlon did effected each of the 43 yet the Sparrows were fine? Harlon can sense the power in all of those that have the powers in them, he would have wiped EVERYONE not just the Unbrella Academy. Harlon admits he lost control that day and couldn’t have stopped. There is more to the story than what have been shown so far, otherwise it is lazy writing and the Umbrella academy doesn’t really do lazy writing often.

It’s definitely a chaotic season, but I really enjoyed it all! I’m honestly surprised at how well they were able to explore character origins and also tie all the plot points together without it being too hard to follow. There’s really some top tier one liners in this season too lol.

Diego, as usual, wanted to be aggressive. Five was just intrigued, Victor was trying to stop them. Luther was practically giddy when he met Sloane. Klaus was tryingto hug Ben.

you have interesting views and we all are entitled to our opinions but how they handled the situation when they arrived at the sparrows home, they tried to talk it out and be civil but it resulted to the sparrows getting aggressive thus leading to a clash (i think it was a nice introduction to the sparrows), five also probably thought they fixed the apocalypse problem this time because he has been trying twice and hasn’t gotten a brake, i’m sure he was hoping that the thirds times the charm. regarding allison, i’m sure she wanted to know if claire is still around, who wouldn’t? u would be hopeful that your daughter is still alive and just coming back from the 1960s where she faced racism and having a husband, i don’t think she had the time to really think that claire could be possibly gone in this timeline, she wanted to stay hopeful. i enjoyed the first episode, it was refreshing and different, i feel like you’s will appreciate it more as the season progresses.

Honestly I want a series following Christopher. Like how tf did that happen. Was he possibly a smaller cube when he was born? Was he once a human but some messed up thing happened like Luther with the ape body, or 5 getting stuck in the apocalypse. Like some irreversible thing where the only result was messed up.
This show continues to frustrate me until the final 2 episodes. I agree that Allison's reaction is the most nonsensical to me. I know you want to get back to her but c'mon son - she was fine in the 60s without her but not here?
