I love playing railjack but it's hard to find a reason to do so. It's very much made with teamwork in mind and yet it's rare for me to find someone there. Steve sold it as an interconnected experience that would affect even other player's missions on the planets and be a seamless transition from a new hub on the railjack to missions. In the end it's nothing close to what it was supposed to be
It was already pretty ambitious for them to integrate both the regular star chart and railjack missions but I’d guess they had to tone it down due to their own spaghetti code.
Ive pretty much, finished Railjack and yes youre correct, it require teamwork and often it is boring and lacking when youre alone playing. Railjack is a long mission and a pain in the ass when played alone but what it offers shouldve been better and massive.
@@snuckel4 Tbh its alot easier playing solo than with a team. If you ranked up your Command Intrinsics you can get an engineer-defender and two gunner, give them fully modded weapon, and AoE weapon for the engineer-defender, they will make the mission a breeze. If your engineer-defender have the perks that can heal on-kill, he/she can defend the Railjack from invaders like a one man army.
the problem with every bad update to warframe is how disconnected they are from the main game and how it feels like you're not progressing until you get the important items from them
basicly the complete opposite of zariman, wispers and by the looks of it 1999. those updates are just the standard warframe gameplay loop with some new gimmick as well as some cool new enviroment to explore. all your old stuff still matters and the new stuff is always useful to you.
They're also long and dragged out. From 5 minute missions of the core game to these 20-60minute missions, once you get the reward you want, you never go back because you value your time
There is no main game lol, there’s incentive to farm, theres about 6 planets no one farms, no one does ghoul eruptions, no one farms nightmare missions, no one does thermia unless they are new to the game. Warframe cant balance content without giving you a reason to do that content and how they do that is they put something farmable there. Its not an insane thing to grasp its just how a looting game works.
In my Opinion The reason why Duviri "Failed" was because farming pathos clamps and Incarnon materials genuinely just isn't fun. Not because the gameplay is disconnected from Warframe's traditional gameplay, but because it's tedious and boring and must be done every week unlike farming an arcane or mod just once.
Oh of course. Drifter gameplay in Duviri is so bare-bones and boring that doing anything involving it feels like a chore, especially when the 'fresh content feel' wore off. But that's kind of what I mean. Instead of just porting Warframe's melee system to Duviri (maybe with some different animations to account for a human's agility), they went all souls-like. But that doesn't really work in the context of Warframe.
@@MuchVeryYou are painfully wrong, its as simple as this, you dont feel like farming something dont play it, duviri is not a souls like. Of course its bare bones, warframes mission development is based on getting the concept across the game has 11 years of content, if you think they are gonna spend time on each little thing they push out, your naive. I stopped farming incarnons half a year ago, because theres not enough incarnon adapters in the game to even play circuit every week, but somehow people force themselves to do it. If you dont want to farm anything in the game just buy platinum or spend time farming platinum to buy things you dont want to play the game for. Its why trading exists. Wanting everything to be “easier” in the same convo as people saying that the game is too easy makes no sense. Play the mission or dont you have the choice.
@martiandesertboy not everyone has money to spend like that. I discussed this with my fiancé but I think warframe relies mostly on platinum only and the only way to get it is to buy it with irl money. And ik most people will say trade for it but most people only get platinum from purchasing it. What happens if everyone's account got erased and it couldn't be fixed? What then? Just buy more? Warframe needs to incentive better ways of getting platinum and merging different gameplay aspects like duviri and railjack without being boring and repetitive.
@@martiandesertboySo you're suggesting spending tons of hours farming spare items and then hoping that maybe someone will be willing to trade plat for them, because the game is perfect and shouldn't be improved? Constructive criticism is much better for the game than just saying "if you don't like it, don't play it".
Agree. Railjack was supposedly connecting those content islands and main warframe gameplay experience, said Steve. And yet what we get is another content island. Understandably they're not that experience with the new stuff they're trying to do, they already cook Railjack too long in the oven, rush the release date, and came out buggy. While later it got fixed, the intended experience never came to be. Sad. for Duviri my gripe is that new player can play the Duviri story, became confused. I think Duviri should be played after the New War and it should be make more sense. I get that circuit helps new player, but atleast lock the story or something.
Fortunately, they did move Duviri to the Neptune (?) junction. So at the very least, new players can't start the game more confused than they should be.
Im gonna say it. Pathos clamp farming and circuit farming is painful. Its so disconnected from everything else and takes too long to complete your unlocks. Nevermind the RnG loadout forcing you to sink resources into gear youre never going to use anywhere else or the weekly incarnon rotations being so astronomically long to cycle to what you want. I think its time to award pathos clamps in circuit at least, im tired of the orowyrm fights, im tired of spending like 3 hours in circuit. Its time to ease the grind. Mind you i only got a current gen console a couple months ago and my experience on old gen made incarnons impossible to unlock due to constant crashes in duviri / circuit heavily impacting my opinion and experience here.
I hate the SP circuit forced random loadouts so much I stopped farming incarnon weapon adapters after number 24. I don't want to put full builds on MR fodder weapons that are still MR fodder weapons to use just to be able to use them if they are available in random loadout. Elite Deep Archimedea is another nope for same reason. The only real challenge is in finding a way to like it because of the random loadout BS, so i do Netracell instead.
Duviri had a purpose. Players especially ones who hoarded a wide variety of weps have complained for a long time that there is no place that encourage using them. It was always use the current meta or be left behind in the killing. The rouge like system forced players to play outside of their comfort zone and try out weps that many would write off as MR fodder. This also created an unexpected feature that allowed players who don’t own that specific warframe/wep yet to be able to try it out first before buying/farming it. As for removing the wyrm chasing the player, I think DE noticed that once the novelty wore off, the player base will see the wyrm chasing them as more of an annoyance because the player will do an objective, wyrm spots them, player hides, return to finish objective or start the next one, repeat.
Railjack really does look more undecooked than Duviri tbh. We don't really know much what they have been planning with Duviri when it was announced at first, but with Railjack we got tons of video and text material to know what we've lost. Tbf, I think that's due to Covid and team shift within DE. Those two updates were conceived under Steve and old guard, while Railjack was released under old team, Duviri was released when Rebb was in charge and you can see that they tried to shift direction a bit with Duviri as it's lot more integrated into the gameflow with circuit and Incarnons rather than Railjack which you'll only use for Liches. Down the line I don't think we'll see same type of updates that were severely undercooked and had creative shifts mid development as Rebb and her team obviously know what they're doing and what players want. Last updates since Zariman were pretty on point and besides Duviri I never felt something was off or missing.
Even in the OG duviri reveal, you can see what steve and co had in mind, loosely. And in the 2022 stream you can see what the original plan was looking to be Then what we got, which honestly we have no idea if it's better or worse, but what we got is really cool and it IS fun, it just needs some cleaning up. Also they do keep adding new decrees and gamemodes in undercroft every once and awhile, which is nice (alchemy in undercroft is really smooth! and assassination is a LOT less awful since they toned down jackal) I hope they keep expanding the gamemodes and decrees, maybe even a new island or enemy at some point would be nice, but I wouldnt hold my breath and would rather they focus on main content for big releases.
Railjack on release was even more isolated from the rest of the game. Most of the stuff you could farm there was only useful for the railjack itself and liches weren't part of it iirc.
It may be a cynical viewpoint but… I think Duviri and railjack weren’t well received solely because warframe’s core issue is that it is EXTREMELY EASY and you can get by without even reacting to the enemies. The majority of the player base use Wukong auto turret and Revenant “only press 2” for a reason. That’s why railjack could’ve had depth added… but instead it all became seeker volley spam. A major reason why stealth fell out completely to the point that on release the murmur lacked finisher attack availability.
Just you wait after all the ruckus that's about to connect and clear up questions DE has created lorewise for the communityy 😂❤ Ordis taking revenge on Parvos for our sake (see Ascension mission dialogue, run it multiple times, not all are the same dialogue) Stalker meeting up with Jade and getting their 'punishment' there. Probably also going to be a quest as a follow up answer to Jade Shadow's. (I think they might have some things planned out already. Since the Nightwave theme was already Full on stalker. Now obv we have 1999 coming this winter. So I bet, since Mr. Entrati mentioned Duviri, its going to be another line of quests going to have to do with him heading and being in it. Obv something is 'off' with the Lotus now as well, she ha sbeen talking about becoming The Witch.. So i wonder if that might happen so we'll have to fight her again. Oh don't forget this weird stuff with Dr. Entrati & Mr. Entrati. They seem like two different beings to me?
This is why i am scared for 1999. I hope that the bugs wont be too bad since DE is slowing updates to focus on 1999, but 1999 might also suffer these problems. Btw the duviri PARADOX might be a paradox since teshin died in the new war but teshin helps free the drifter to help in the new war and the duviri paradox was initially an alternative start and is now the neptune junction reward
I really enjoy this “episodic” take that warframe has been doing since plains of eidolon. Disconnected “Content islands” in my opinion are the only way warframe can continue to make good content. It’s non-essential content, “can be done later or now” content, ‘horizontal’ progress. One-and-done content drops make this game not the “one piece” of gaming and makes catching up to the end reasonable while the other pieces can have their depth and own progression. In short, an analogy: the tower is not as daunting if the rooms share floors rather than be stacked on each other.
The Incarnon system has been fantastic in revitalizing old weapons and bringing them up to the current meta. I'm talking more about actual Duviri, the new open world that features Drifter combat, Kaithes and the Orowyrm.
I'm probably the only one not at all crazy about incarnon weapons. Sure they buff some less used weapons, but I don't like the idea of constantly having to recharge them. I expect my weapons to perform the same all the time and not reverting back to a potato gun after a clip.
The biggest thing that disappointed me about Railjack is that there's no real boss fights. IMO the Oroworm would've been perfect for a void boss, Vay Hek for grineer, Nef Anyo for corpus, and the Ropalolyst for sentients. Instead it's all just pointless grinding. And duviri is basically the same. Pointless grinding fire stuff that has nothing to do with the main game. Why make the drifter able to fight, if it's only in one area?
Imagine a balor fomorian mission, but in railjack, where you need to damage it's outer shell with the railjack to find a breach to invade it, fight our way through the "labirint", and reach the command room where the captain is a kuva lich you need to fight in a "death staresque" confront. To then, after that blow the whole thing to smithereens hitting it on weakspots with the frontal artillery. Would be epic right? So, too much to ask xD
I played them after they were "fixed", and honestly enjoyed them. My main problem is them being island content and they will probably won't get any more updates, which is a god damn shame.
I love Rail Jack missions, but one thing I think would be cool is if you could dock your orbiter inside the Rail Jack so you could use both and when doing normal missions you undock your orbiter from the rail jack so you can do the normal cutscene of flying in to the mission.
I kind of Feel like Duviri was a test for the Soulframe, horseback riding mostly mele combat, Death from falling interacting with NPCs. it feels like it was disigned with Soulframe in mind, as well as to start getting players interested in that style.
This is exactly why I have zero interest in Soulframe. I get annoyed every time they ram that project down our throats when I expect Warframe news in events and streams.
It's more likely the other way around. They made Duviri, liked it, but lamented that it was essentially a "one off" that couldn't be expanded into more of the core game. Steve, Geoff, etc. then went to make their own game that took the themes and visuals spun out into a separate experience from the ground up.
I think its really funny that the lighting was better in the initial railjack section, than the lighting system we have in game now where nothing looks smooth everything has too much shadows or colors are shaded wrong Also, Railjack was better when there was more stakes. The changing of railjack powers to warframe energy and the addition of crew made it dumbed down, boring, and very hard to fail. You have to actually try to fail now and there isn't any stakes. Railjacks just feel like big warframes now with the forge only used once per mission if at all, to recharge artillery shots to one shot crewships and its no longer used to have a player do engineering duties. I had a BLAST with raijack when i got into it months after the major bugs were fixed and it was mostly stable. I maxed everything in under a month as i played it for hours and hours at a time. So my disappointment was physical when they simplified the entire system, its a joke. Not to mention corpus railjack is an utter lazy failure.
I like both Railjack and Duviri. I never used to play Railjack because I didn't have any intrinsics and always played solo, so it was just hell trying to man the entire ship on my own, but after I got some intrinsics and bought a crewmember it was a lot more fun. I play Duviri sometimes, but it generally takes a long time so it's something I really have to be in the mood for, but when I do play it it's really fun
What pissed me off about duviri is they worked on it (or claimed to be working on it) for years and still had game breaking bugs making the content unplayable
I know that they definitely weren't working on it during the New War's development. Besides, in 2022 it was revealed that Soulframe was also in development. So I would say Duviri only had uninterrupted development time for about a year. Clearly a very unorganised year too.
When a team like DE whose not the largest studio on earth says they are working on something they mean they are spending 20% on new things. 60% on maintenance 20% on working on future things. Dont be naive and think working on something for years means something the game is huge and they have track maintenance across 11 years worth of content. Game dev starts with concept>technicality>modeling/animating>coding>bug fixes>polishing>then push out. And that can take a long time lmfao. Warframe players never surprise with the amount of entitlement they have despite having no clue whats happening. Its a free live service game. Emphasis on live service.
It was worked on for at most 1 year. The many years thing is a rumor by the community because they did a little teser for it at tennocon before Covid when they shifted to other stuff
I really enjoy Railjack missions. The entire Duviri Paradox quest was really fun. Albeit abrupt, I like when the story "feels disconnected" from the rest of the game. The New War being a big example of that
Duviri is a very fun, unique and extremely beautiful place especially during that joy cycle but what sucks about it is that when you go there you are forced to play with random ass, weapons and warframes, that you most likely don’t even have a good build on or a build at all Plus if you are playing the circuit you are going up against steelpath level enemies sometimes you may get lucky and get a weapon or a warframe that you have an op build on
From the first showcase I saw of railjack, I always thought the addition of your arsenal was too niche, but when you told me about the potential to change loadouts in mission, the possibilities would have been endless...
One thing that made railjack horrible besides the bugs was how on release it took almost an entire week before you could ACTUALLY use it due to it taking a day per railjack part and then when you got through that you would play on a ship that could lock you in the finishing screen with the only solution closing the game
Oh yeah, I remember those days. After a while they sort of roughed around the edges, but that can only do so much for an update that becomes a content island.
I think one of the main reasons people dislike duviri is farming pathos clamps. Having to farm something that cannot/can barely be sped up through playing efficiently feels awful. I think I genuinely die inside whenever I go into the undercroft portal objective and see its a 5 min survival. That, plus the supposed "souls-like combat" being just melee mash simulator, the randomness (kinda subjective), oh... and the bugs..
Fun thing about the Duviri part.. the bug where the mission objective marker just ceases to exist is STILL A PROBLEM. Thankfull usualy me and my fellow drifters have the time to try and search for it... but sometimes it just takes waaay too long.
Duviri, khal, and railjack all felt like content that I'd rather not do since it's just slower generally, it's a chore to be completed and not looked back to. My favourite of all of them has to be the puzzles in duviri. They reminded me of the old void puzzles that's now commonplace with maroo. And the puzzle rooms on lua. But a side thing like that being what I had the most fun with is pretty scathing on its own. But with my least favourite thing not even being khal, but the warframes you're allowed to choose, or rather, you not being able to choose, in duviri. Since we all know there's a lot of bad weapons, and a lot of warframes people don't generally want to play depending on playstyle. And now all that master fodder is suddenly like one of 3 weapons you can choose of each type. It again just becomes a chore, though since it's weapon upgrade related, one I've refused to partake in, because I don't need to. But I think with what I've seen of 1999, and what I've seen from the demo, it actually plays like warframe outright. No interruptions to go back in archwing or railjack, just like, warframe gameplay with enemies more scaled for a specific gameplay experience compared to how a lot of end game builds play with the enemies. There's no real stakes in the normal missions, so having you forced to take a step back but still move around like you usually do so any experience is shared 1 to 1, works a lot better for a story structure. I have hopes actually, I'm excited to see how it goes.
Conceptually, randomised Warframes and weapons is awesome. But you're right, there was a failure to account for all these garbage-tier powercrept weapons and frames that don't see the light of day for a reason. Fingers crossed for 1999!
I love my railjack and would love if it could function as a more seamless transition between normal missions. Instead of going to extraction and getting a cutscene followed by a loading screen and then back in the orbiter, you jump in the railjack at extraction and have full control to immediately select the next mission. Would be much more immersive. Duviri combat just feels bad. It wants to be slower and more methodical but it feels janky and stilted. Even when you get decrees, you become overpowered but it still feels awkward. I hope they can take some of the improvements from Soulframe and port it back to Duviri.
I enjoy Duviry and really enjoy listening to the npc dialog but most of the time the base game survival/relic cracking is just a bit more enjoyable so I don't enter Duviri much. I think Railjack is okay but enjoy it even less than Duviri, I wanted an endless Railjack mission where you shoot other fighters, rather than swapping weapons and leaving the ship.
My only gripe with Duviri was the devs said. We know some people don’t like drifter gameplay so we have added the circuit where you can play as just warframes. This was fine and a good idea but the problem is that the circuit gives adapters that require pathos clamps and the only way to get those is to play as the drifter. I actually love the circuit but every time I get a new adapter I know what I have to do and I hate it.
People had the lowest opinions of Duviri than of any other update, at least in my spaces online. The melee combat is half-baked, it's still buggy, and it's far less popular compared to its Circuit counterpart. So, I think it has failed in at least some capacity. That being said, this shouldn't stop you from enjoying it.
Everyone i know who plays the game wants to spend as little time there as possible because it's simply just not fun. Circuit is enjoyable at the start, but after months of working to get incarnons just feels like a chore, the wyrm fight is generally accepted as very good the main problem is the 20min of pointless bounties beforehand. Everything related to duviri is designed to be as time-consuming as possible for as little reward is acceptable
@@MuchVery oh fair enough. But let's be honest....when was a new game mode not buggy ? Warframe's code is a ball of spaghetti, held together by spit and dreams. Still, great video ! I just hadn't realized Duviri got such a negative reaction on release because that was a period in which I wasn't actually playing and I jumped in a tad late. I'm assuming when a lot of bugs to fixed
@@lecat127the only people who hate it are people who force themselves to farm adapters every week, its just the case of people wanting something then complaining about having to play the game for it
It absolutely failed, it was even pushed back even further down the story line now by DE. The only reason to play Duviri is to get pathos clamps and it feels like a chore.
I reall wish after 1999 releases that DE goes back and touches up on older parts of the game so it can be more in line with modern warframe. Like making a railjack 2.0 update that makes everything interconnected and we can access the star chart on our railjack with a 3D model of it and we can fully launch any mission on any planet including the proximas. And also being able decorate our railjacks like our orbiters would be cool.
They are not going to do that, and why would they, dude its a live service game they are already planning new content. If you dont enjoy it stop playing it
I think Duviri is fun and the gameplay loop is enjoyable, it's honestly to me just the pathos clamps On steel path you get 15... but.. to get an incarnon, you need 20. And there's no reason to stick around for the post-wyrm areas if you want the clamps, meaning it becomes "do I give a shit about these arcanes enough to enjoy this run some more or do I just want my damn clamps?" I think honestly, all it'd take to make duviri more enjoyable for the power fantasy roguelite it is. Just make the wyrm on SP drop 20 clamps, and make the extra 'hard' undercroft challenges give 5 clamps per trial. Also, remove the god damn undercroft segments from duviri experience, I absolutely HATE getting survival and defense in that because they just take so damn LONG. Undercroft portions honestly take up half your damn duviri run most of the time. I think leaving undercroft as the challenge after the wyrm makes sense not only from gameplay, but from 'story' too, since the undercroft is meant to be threatening, making it an optional post-wyrm challenge would be cool. If more people asked on devstreams and devshorts (I cant catch these sadly) for 5 clamps per dominus trial and 20 for SP orowyrm, i'm sure rebb would listen, but not enough people care just yet for them to make this change.
My experience in trying to understand what is wrong in warframe ended up with asking my self with "what should they REALLY do to REALLY change things" instead of asking what is wrong. There is lots of wrong things, but there is barely any or even none to get that CHANGE of things. Developers are also limited by various factors.
And ironically the corpus railjack update is worse than the original grineer. In the grineer missions everyone can be doing something to get the mission done quick. in corpus you all have to enter the ship/station together
My biggest issue with Duviri is primarily the Quest itself. It's a Quest who's narrative only makes sense to veteran players but it's gameplay is irrelevant to the main game except for the Warframe parts that treat itself like a Tutorial. Which is doubly ass as you need to go and do the tutorial immediately after. Now Circuit is a great tool for any New Player but that no longer really matters anymore as they removed the Duviri Path start and keep pushing the unlock for the quest further and further back (currently unlocked after The Second Dream i believe), the only reason this happened was because of the narrative. So now the Quest appeals to really nobody.
Railjack was certainly a missed opportunity but oddly enough I think it could be salvaged and in a variety of different ways. Duviri I don't think was a complete failure, it's mainly let down by insufficient enemies or challenges in the open world roaming which could be fairly easily fixed. The rest of Duviri (story, incarnons, the circuit) are pretty good.
Duviri will seem to have a similarity/correlation with soul frame. That’s why Warframe needed Duviri open world. Although, Duviri does have a few issues that are correctable
Hopefully 1999 will at least conclude most of these issues. They have stated that it will be more involved with the main game material but we can only hope to wait and see. Either way though, this upcoming update is still exciting
I have 2k Hours in Warframe, and left it some years ago, after i came back, duviri content and archimedea became my favorite game modes in game. It is so cool and it never came to my mind, that they "failed" lol
Just for the info, i started to play game back then, when there was stamina for warframes and you had a feeling you play as elite special squad, rather then being space gods😂
Speaking of bugs, has anyone had trouble shooting Thraxes with their amps? I deal 0 damage until like 3-5 seconds pass, then I proceed to 1 shot. This started happening about 2 weeks ago and it's been like this since.
Lmao, maybe not every two minutes. Maybe it's only every 5 minutes + if you've killed enough Dax for the Dominus to take notice. Idk, something like that. It'd be less mind-numbing than what we have now.
@@martiandesertboythey were making a what if statement. As in what if the gameplay loop included having to guide from the wyrm every number of minutes or when making too much commotion, like in the trailer.
Baby tenno here, started a couple of months ago. Probably because I came after, so I didn't had any expectation cause DE hype, I really enjoyed Railjack even with it's buginess. I liked also Duviri, but 400 hours in and still I didn't replay it, planning to return to it after the MR grind. After completing all the questlines, main and side, I started doing things like profit taker and edolon quests, and only at that point it started to really piss me off how buggy it can get. But honestly I really loved my 400 hours in this game, it may be because I got all the years of content in "one shot", but damn I really enjoyed my time as I haven't in a long time (in gaming lately).
There are some content islands I don't mind existing, provided they are varied enough to keep interest. Railjack could have been it, but it sadly wasn't. We have what, three different auras that largely dictate your playstyle (with one being the correct choice), little variation when it comes to building the 'jack itself, and a fistful of weapons. The number of options pale in comparison to regular warframe. The most interesting thing you can do with it is recruit new crew members and customize them slightly. As for the missions, since they got rid of railjack-only hard missions (like Gian Point), the gameplay loop for solo players is horrendous, even with a maxed pilot crewmate. We'd need a whole rework of the entire system. Allow us to pick different ship types with advantages and disadvantages, give us old skirmish back for railjack-only experience, and a more rewarding experience than "shoot artillery at crewship engines".
Honestly I’ll never forgive them for what they pulled with railjack to build all that hype and deliver so flat not to even mention the years it took for them give us half what they promised as far as I’m concerned I consider railjack unfinished 😒
I personally dislike Duviris gameplay loop so much i brought all Duviri weapons in the shop for plat im in general not a fan of rouge likes with only verry few exceptions (like witchfire and binding of isaac) if it was less Meele focoused and more like an extraction shooter meets rouge like (like the afformentioned witchfire) i think it would be an amazing distraction from the regular grind but "scuffed elden ring" (the way i would describe Duviri) just isnt it i sometimes play Railjack for fun mostly because after unlocking the NPC crew its much more managable and actually alot of fun i just wish Railjack was what we were promised - which is Sea of Thieves in space - which i think can still be delivered if people demanded it enough but i dont think thats gonna happen contrarians are too "just delete it i hate it" and Toxic Positivity people are too "WELL I LIKE IT why change it when I LIKE IT"
Honestly, the Drifter's playstyle in the New War (stealthy tactical shooter) was far more enjoyable than their Duviri playstyle. It felt a lot more cohesive. That's my opinion though.
When i play railjack today, i can see the potential it had and still probably has. Unfortunately, due to the problematic launch and the distaste it developed for the players, that potential may never be realized.
I do not think they failed tbh. It might not be a warframe 2.0 or something, but they definitely have not failed nor a dead content in my eyes. While I agree with your points in general, I find myself going into both railjack and duviri from time to time. Not only to get a reward here or there, but also because they are unique content in a game I love oh so much. That said, both pieces of content are, in my eyes, not yet done. Duviri should probably held in stasis until soulframe releases, afterwards so much new knowledge can be poured back into Duviri to make it better. Improve the slower melee combat, reintroduce a gamemode where the orowyrm hunts you (keeping the other 3 modes, maybe dropping lone story), make me able to melee on my horse, tone down the pistol etc etc. Railjack on the otherhand is something that I'd like to so worked on continuously. First off, let us play more complicated missions solely in the railjack, having the entirety of the corpus missions be, go to place, do normal warframe content is very weird, maybe introduce a mission that allows for the choice of which way to tackle it is fun? Indeed let us go from normal mission to normal mission using the railjack instead of mission select in the orbiter. An incentive to use it this way can simply be rewards akin to endless relic mission, the more you use your railjack continuously the better your normal rewards get. You could copy paste the relic reward system, up to a cap. You could just have all dropped relics increase in quality the longer you go. What would be awesome is the asynchronous gameplay we were shown, be expanded upon. Let players squad up, some staying in the railjack, others in a normal mission. Let us orbital bombard the area around a defense objective, drop the excavation drones on spots we scouted etc. In return the grounded players collect the recourses that are shared with the areal players, turn off air defenses or hangars etc. Very important thing at the end, don't make the continous rewards stop when you log off, maybe just decay with time. Sometimes the game needs a restart, othertimes life gets in the way. Maybe allow the plexus to be an advanced version of the recourse drones while logged off idk. It is still a massive undertaking to improve both aspects, but I hope they do put in the work. You can clearly see the love put into both aspects and I am excited about their potential of what they can still become.
Their incompletion is definitely a result of over-ambition. They simply set out to do much more than they or Warframe itself was equipped for. I would love for them to receive bigger updates going forward, but who knows.
I still firmly believe RJ is "salvageable" and can be meaningfully expanded on and DE's biggest mistake as a developer is just dropping everything once it's out and move on to the next complete mess of "content" they create and leave behind. RJ was such a cool experience from 0 to max upgrades, I actually enjoyed most of it as a solo only player. A "quick and easy" fix (relatively) is just to finally implement SP for RJ and freshen up the rewards a little. That would make me play it all over again, easily. Fast forward and DE ended up just taking the lazy train and now all we get is smaller content islands with compact standing system and reused exterminate/survival/disruption ad nauseam. Regarding duviri... It's horrible. Like nothing is fun there. Circuit is so horribly boring, I am so glad I will never have to play any of it ever again. It's not because it tries to be different specifically, it is just bad and janky gamedesign from start to finish just to top it off with another boring exterminate/defense/survival endless repeat (circuit). 1999 is again the safe route and my hope already died when they announced CAPTURE as the "new" endless mode. Like, I really love the game, but we are still playing almost 12 year old game modes, the only fun and innovative one is Void Cascade, but it's hard to keep invested in the game, when there is actually just a single gamemode for you personally to chose from as a veteran player, who is not interested in low level content anymore.
Duviri is 100% a result of Elden Ring, one could wonder how it really would have been if DE stuck to the original vision. Though, same could be said for the entire game, lol.
I mean, DE are literally developing "Soulframe" which is a souls-like but easier. And Steve mentioned countless times he was playing Elden Ring and its DLCs
I hate the bug in duviri where it’ll keep your warframe weapon when teleporting back but have limited ammo then you can’t swap to anything and stuck with no weapons
Thank you for making this video! I was gonna make this but you beat me to it. I just started playing No Man's Sky due to Railjack being 2/10 of what it should have been! Warframe needs to add those things back and fix that spaghetti code! 😅
That's exactly what I'm thinking. It's nothing flashy and unique, it's just normal Warframe with a theme and setting that harks back to its Dark Sector roots. Fingers crossed the team have done a good job.
I would add the Archwing update to this as the precursor to Railjack but, overall, it's a good recap. I really do enjoy Railjack mission but I do wish it was closer to what was promised AND the rewards for doing it were better. It really feels like a wasted opportunity for what was teased. 😓😓 I still can't bring myself to complete Duviri. I know other people love it but it does nothing for me so I don't think I made it further than halfway through, if that far.
Alrighty for my opinion that Railjack on launch was definately definately insanely bad I was super excited to see where its gonna take and I was super upset when the RJ update The resource requirements to create the railjack (Dojo, each segments are insane) and you cant use it until the next update happens Even when the next update did happen, it was hard due how resources you obtain wasnt shared for everyone to pick up, hard to understand with UI display when it 1st launch. Current RJ? Absolutely fixed everything and im happy it did. Then to Duviri I think i managed to set my expectation down. I didnt wanna hear or see people say on Duviri Paradox update so i dont join in the hype bandwagon for no reason until ive seen the gameplay of Megan/Rebecca showing the decree ones and weapons for drifter during the devstream. And i gotta say its way more less problematic then RJ. Just because I set my expectation real low. On another note, as much I wouldnt mind the thought of being chased by the orowyrm constantly, I dont know if most people would like semi dark souls ish in duviri, just because I cant imagine most players would have much fun in it. All I can say is maybe the changes in duviri is either A) The pandemic C who made work abit different B) The warframe limitation? Maybe they can do it but guess it was too much to do? C) Players wouldnt like it just because its too different? Thats my take why they have few changes and for 1999 I think it shouldn't be too much of a problem, the very least wont be as RJ launch bad just because its just another hub as Zariman/Nekralist right (God I hope I dont jinx that) Anyway, love your take and video bud.
They can easily make alot of new game modes with rail jack and existing assets. Doing open world raids or helldiver like raides but no must make a bunch of new Shiney for new players....
Idk man, there really isn't. Void storms? I'd just do normal Fissures. Levelling up my Necramech? I can do that in the Labs. The only reason I personally would play Railjack nowadays is if I needed to. I'd be keen to see what others have to say though.
Thank you for this video. I always wondered what was wrong and now thinking about, It really does boil down to bugs, glitches, and also unfulfilled promises. I found it weird that when people play warframe they say they wanna do somethint different, fun, and innovative. No more regular survival or defense or prime farming. So out pops railjack and duviri. Then people didn't like that (which is fair after learning in this video) and people said why am I playing a game about the drifter and why is the game moving away from what its good at? Ok then came 1999 which isn't some over promised feature like railjack doing battle ships and duviri with extensice melee combat. 1999 is just the bread and butter system of using the familiar guns and sword model. And NOW people say its not different enough? Oh cmon, we had railjack and duiviri which was different enough you asked for something more streamlined so here we go 1999. Maaaan, what do we want here? (Though isn't my problem, I'll continue to play warframe simply cus I do enjoy the game nonetheless despite its errors. It really would be nice if they can revisit some older systems to help out the new player experience instead of leaving it the way it is. Even if these systems aren't gonna be played, they still can be used. Like with scarlet spear long ago or quests using these systems.)
For the last 6 months or so, every time I load in to Duviri or Curcuit I ask if people are there for fun or are grinding incarnons/materials/Kullervo. Nobody that has answered are there "for fun".
I very much dislike duviri, its sluggish and drags on. the drifter combat is really lame to put things nicely, honestly its to gimmicky and feels half baked but them locking the best weapons in the game behind it so you are forced to play it and can't really just out right buy them just feels bad when you can buy literally everything else in this game, and yes I would much rather buy incarnons then just play duviri thats how bad it is and I truly do not care how much effort they put into duviri because it doesn't reflect in game at all.
I'd say the worst part is DE doing "new" content that has many of the same flaws as the old and base content and never improving what's already there. There is no part of the game untouched by wretched bugs or is just super outdated and power crept. Now they spent all this time adding "new" enemies in a new area wasting time on a dating sim. What're the odds the dating sim works perfect and the rest of 1999 is broke af. I'm pretty sure most of DE is just artists and there are few actual programmers there.
What scares me about 1999 is the release date again in December. If the update doesn't go well, we'll have to wait until January for fixes, while in the meantime, the community will have more than enough time to show the problems and spread a bad idea about the update. Hopefully it won't be like that this time, but I think it would be better for DE if the release was in January with the whole team available to fix the problems.
ill be honest, id like to see an overhaul on railjack with first getting our content back but also enhancing roles in the railjack itself and making it more interactive id also like to see the infested but instead of the usual thing of killing them id like for a bit of horror to be added when in an infested region where it will take over the ship and you must defend the ship whilst getting jumpscares and waaiting for engines to come back on The openworld thing would be very nice if for example on cetus you would be able to hunt grineer ships and overtake them to defend cetus and with fortuna youd be stealing and mining and it would work as a psuedo heist type mission and having to combat an expanded arsenal from the corpus as for deimos you would be trying to stop the infection onto orbiting ships and doing rescues i think these would be fun additions to the gameplay of railjack Another idea is for clans to have their own dedicated railjack which they could use for wars and combat which would be very nice to have some good pvp in the game
I'm a "new player" I played the game for a while and had to leave because I bought a PC and wasn't gonna start from zero I had played all the way to second dream and collected 20+ frames, so I came back when jade Shadows dropped, a friend told me they added cross save and I was blown away by rail jack and dubiry I absolutely love the fact that they are different enough from the main game it feels like I can go play something else withing the same game, and as the warframe special there's always a resource that will be beneficial in the future since I went from MR14 to MR26, max out my dubiry intrinsic and workin on finishing rail jack and every time I feel a bit burned from regular missions I go to dubiry or rail jack and I literally just loose myself like I'm not playing warframe because is such a different experience.
The idea of "core Warframe" and "content islands" is ridiculous to me. What people call core has always been wildly varying gameplay between spy, archwing, openworld etc etc. The only thing keeping Duviri and railjack separate is the inability for them to feed our main grinds. You only go there to target something very specific and you see no other benefit other than what you're there for. If we could even earn currency for arcane dissolution or something, it would go a long way to bridge the gap, allowing players to have fun without feeling like they're wasting their time.
Most of the content has been buggy as hell at launch. Some more than others. Railjack for one initiated one of my many breaks from the game. When I came back I had to do most the intrinsics farming solo, because nobody in their right mind plays that mode, further increasing my dislike. They added Railjack part in lich hunts just to force players into railjack, what a dick move.
I think Warframe deserves its praise and it is a one of a kind game. But there are some things that need to be criticized, and I think that the community doesn't do it enough or passes these things as a joke, kind of like: "Well what if its buggy? Bugframe!" This way the devs don't hear about these issues, or might feel like they're not as important. There needs to be a balance of praise and criticism. Problem also is that the majority of the warframe community will lash out at you if you dare to touch their precious game. I does hurt that we didn't get to see so many of the things that were promised, or that we expected to be there, and that so much potential was wasted, but I am personally still happy with what we got at the end. And since the majority is aware of some issues, but also can't really complain considering the state of gaming these days, we are stuck with what we're stuck with. Until probably a better competitor than f*cking The First Descendant comes out lol.
To me, Diviri is a fun change of pace but we should call it was it is. Its a soulframe beta in the world of Warframe and Steve hadn't gotten the approval yet to build Soulframe :D
I really enjoy both Railjack and Duviri. Im hoping to see a lot more railjack content especially that gives me more reasons to play it. Duviri also ties into a lot of rewards that really expand on the endgame of Warframe. If Im ever board of more standard Warframe gameplay I jump into Railjack or Duviri for something fresh. They are not perfect, but both are pretty good now IMO.
most of these "failed updates" were a result of that one employee that wanted to make a different game/wanted to do other stuff. besides, in my opinion the disconnect from some of the content helps me not feel like im doing the same thing 500x a day
i hate duviri and will only do it if im farming pathos clamps... tho i love circuit and how it looks. but it's still content im fine it exist in the game than not. if one day they can rework the clunkyness of it, maybe it be more fun. and railjack is "fine" imo... the missions are just too long and the intrinsics take forever to max out, but i dont really feel it's bad. the space battle immersion is great. wish it was more about that than stopping what you're doing to randomly do a survival and then hop back into the ship PS: one thing i dont like about circuit is that every single update sinse it was released it brings up: new bugs, old bugs and bug bugs that bug the bugs, thats so annoying
I think the reason is taking players into basically an entirely new game with little progression carrying over is the reason. Annoying rant I joined at the end of scarlet spear and only had a new player view of railiack, and god that quest was soooooo annoying. However, i was there for duviri and my opinion was that i disliked the inability to play how i wanted. The main duviri was fun for the first few hours but got repetitive and boring quite quickly and the circuit felt fine if i had some decent weapons or frames but if i didn't get any it felt glacial with DE's terrible builds.
I wasn't playing the game when these 2 updates were added but to be honest they are both pretty interesting but both are too repetitive to some degree. I enjoy playing railjack most of the time because I like space combat type of games but the missions are all the same , you just shoot down some fighter and crewships and you land on an enemy ship and do your killing spree, sabotage or stealing ships/information like in the normal gameplay. I don't say that is bad but you get tired of it especially after you start grinding for stuff , for example , the anomaly missions with the Sentients , I did a few missions of that in a row to help a fellow player and they felt more repetitive then the normal ones because instead of doing some easy primary objectives you have to kill a ton of fighters and crewships , then do the different sabotage/stealing objectives, then go finish of the high level Sentients, it takes much more time , repetitive as other missions in this game , but feels 10 times slower , especially after the 5th time doing it. About Duviri , I think I played 4 times fully , including the first main mission. I like the concept but it 10 times more repetitive then Railjack , you can get decrees like with 8 or 9 of the same method , and as mention in the video said after you get like 5 decrees you are fine to go the entire mission and such is just not fun the repeat a longer mission more times then it needs to be , maybe for grinding . And about what was mentioned in the video about slow pace fighting , forget about that , if you get the decree that makes you gain more speed from every decree you collect , you become a Speed Demon of Destruction. Who needs to ride when you become an invulnerable Sonic nockoff ! XD Very cool video by the way and your new microfone sounds amazing! Sorry for blabering but I just wanted to express my opinion.
I don’t mind the circuit cause of the occasional mod boosters i can get but farming pathos clamp is the issue for me because duviri experience just isn’t that fun the combat system is pretty lacking I understand they tried to go for like a dark souls kind of vibe but the whole mechanic of how they did it just doesn’t flow well together and the way the enemies attack just doesn’t feel right the attacks dont feel like it has much weight to it and the animation feels off. Although with soulframe coming in the future I do hope that they will at some point update the duviri combat and let us mod our drifter or weapons cause playing on steel path mode just feels like I need to run around and collect buffs until I can continue
Necramechs need aura mods, exilus mods, arcane slots & just more buffs to them too. As well as arch weapons needing more damage too. That & being able to use anywhere would be nice. It's doable, but they'd rather nerf the game then fixes that we want.
I feel as if the rail jack missions are just too separate to be interesting. You literally select an entire new menu with new mission markers to do the rail jack specific missions. Imagine if all missions that took place on an enemy ship/off world required you to use the railjack to infiltrate them first. After a few skirmishes you infiltrate and do the mission as normal.
This is the first video with a new microphone. How does it sound? Better? Worse? The same?
Good audio, first vid of yours I watched but, it's solid

I love playing railjack but it's hard to find a reason to do so. It's very much made with teamwork in mind and yet it's rare for me to find someone there. Steve sold it as an interconnected experience that would affect even other player's missions on the planets and be a seamless transition from a new hub on the railjack to missions. In the end it's nothing close to what it was supposed to be
Preach brother 🙌
From 5 minute missions of the core game to these 20-60minute missions, once you get the reward you want, you never go back because you value your time
@@Damocles1337For real, 20mn just to have the wrong relic dropped (was looking for nyx/valkyr prime)
Everything is a grind I have a incarnon adapter I can't just put it on I have to go out and grind some stupid shit untill I can build it
There is no main game lol, there’s incentive to farm, theres about 6 planets no one farms, no one does ghoul eruptions, no one farms nightmare missions, no one does thermia unless they are new to the game.
Because it was nothing but a test for soul frame
@@martiandesertboySo you're suggesting spending tons of hours farming spare items and then hoping that maybe someone will be willing to trade plat for them, because the game is perfect and shouldn't be improved? Constructive criticism is much better for the game than just saying "if you don't like it, don't play it".
Pathos clamps should be a reward for circuit.
@@MuchVery is it after the 2nd dream? I heard they change it back to not be a starting choice
@@menosgenerade6697 I'm not sure, sorry. You'd have to check somewhere, either in the Codex or maybe on the Wiki.
Agreed. I have a lot of faith in Rebb's lead.
Even in the OG duviri reveal, you can see what steve and co had in mind, loosely.
And in the 2022 stream you can see what the original plan was looking to be
Then what we got, which honestly we have no idea if it's better or worse, but what we got is really cool and it IS fun, it just needs some cleaning up.
Also they do keep adding new decrees and gamemodes in undercroft every once and awhile, which is nice (alchemy in undercroft is really smooth! and assassination is a LOT less awful since they toned down jackal)
I hope they keep expanding the gamemodes and decrees, maybe even a new island or enemy at some point would be nice, but I wouldnt hold my breath and would rather they focus on main content for big releases.
Personally Railjack and Duviri are some of my favorite things to play in Warframe, I don't why but they scratch and itch I can't get with most games.
Glad to hear it dude. They're far from perfect, but are fun enough when I feel like playing them.
I love railjack and duviri but i love the core gameplay too and i wish railjack was more important and more connected with the basegame
@@Ryuzaki280 I agree ten fold, it's used in so many quests why not incorporate like our orbiter option as your Railjack.
Just you wait after all the ruckus that's about to connect and clear up questions DE has created lorewise for the communityy 😂❤
Ordis taking revenge on Parvos for our sake (see Ascension mission dialogue, run it multiple times, not all are the same dialogue)
Stalker meeting up with Jade and getting their 'punishment' there.
Tbh i feel like duviri wasn't too bad of an update. It gave us incarnons and a actual reason to build up random weapons
I started building up all my prime weapons, it has been enjoyable :)
Same
The Incarnon system has been fantastic in revitalizing old weapons and bringing them up to the current meta. I'm talking more about actual Duviri, the new open world that features Drifter combat, Kaithes and the Orowyrm.
That isn't so bad either
@ML7WL Stop it! You're making too much sense! 🤣
The creative director explicitly confirmed this was not the case
I think its really funny that the lighting was better in the initial railjack section, than the lighting system we have in game now where nothing looks smooth everything has too much shadows or colors are shaded wrong
Also, Railjack was better when there was more stakes.
The new war.
This my man!❤
I enjoy Duviry and really enjoy listening to the npc dialog but most of the time the base game survival/relic cracking is just a bit more enjoyable so I don't enter Duviri much.
If you want to make a major update that having playstyle of its own, then make sure it has ALOT playstyle.. railjack is empty and so is duviri
Did Duviri really fail ? I don't think so. It's "lore" is weird and definitely needed to be explained better but it's still very much enjoyable
Me too. Here's hoping Rebb hears our prayers!
They are not going to do that, and why would they, dude its a live service game they are already planning new content. If you dont enjoy it stop playing it
Probably the most penetrating analysis of Warframe I've come across in a long time
I think Duviri is fun and the gameplay loop is enjoyable, it's honestly to me just the pathos clamps
On steel path you get 15... but.. to get an incarnon, you need 20.
And there's no reason to stick around for the post-wyrm areas if you want the clamps, meaning it becomes "do I give a shit about these arcanes enough to enjoy this run some more or do I just want my damn clamps?"
I think honestly, all it'd take to make duviri more enjoyable for the power fantasy roguelite it is.
If more people asked on devstreams and devshorts (I cant catch these sadly) for 5 clamps per dominus trial and 20 for SP orowyrm, i'm sure rebb would listen, but not enough people care just yet for them to make this change.
you get 9 extra clamps from steel portals and you can enter and exit them then complete one to have them all finish at once.
In the grineer missions everyone can be doing something to get the mission done quick. in corpus you all have to enter the ship/station together
the greatest tragedy is that duviri, conclave, railjack etc are all fun as hell, but no one plays them :(
If they made the railjack that they originally intended I would fr live in it 😆
My biggest issue with Duviri is primarily the Quest itself.
It sure is. Considering how much content they're pushing out aside from 1999 itself to hype everyone up, it must be worth it.
I'm pretty sure Thraxes are invulnerable when they do that spinny move when they enter their ghost forms. If you mean Duviri Thrax, idk.
Imagine going into Duviri to farm plants and having to hide every 2 minutes to hide from the Orowyrm..... I'd quit
Lmao, maybe not every two minutes. Maybe it's only every 5 minutes + if you've killed enough Dax for the Dominus to take notice. Idk, something like that. It'd be less mind-numbing than what we have now.
What duviri are you playing? The orowyrm literally only comes out whne you collect the orvius, if u want to farm go solo
@@martiandesertboythey were making a what if statement. As in what if the gameplay loop included having to guide from the wyrm every number of minutes or when making too much commotion, like in the trailer.
6:02 That Dex has the greatest power in Warframe; "Primed Sure Footed."
Hold up there's a lock on feature in RJ?
Yep, auto-aim in the Gunnery Intrinsics.
Level 10
I remember when you can't even play railjack even though you just build that thing after farming for an hour for the new resources
And then when it did come out it sucked to play
1999 will have railjack involvement
I personally dislike Duviris gameplay loop so much i brought all Duviri weapons in the shop for plat
im in general not a fan of rouge likes with only verry few exceptions
(like witchfire and binding of isaac)
if it was less Meele focoused and more like an extraction shooter meets rouge like (like the afformentioned witchfire) i think it would be an amazing distraction from the regular grind
but "scuffed elden ring" (the way i would describe Duviri) just isnt it
i sometimes play Railjack for fun mostly because after unlocking the NPC crew its much more managable and actually alot of fun
i just wish Railjack was what we were promised - which is Sea of Thieves in space - which i think can still be delivered if people demanded it enough but i dont think thats gonna happen
contrarians are too "just delete it i hate it"
and
Toxic Positivity people are too "WELL I LIKE IT why change it when I LIKE IT"
Honestly, the Drifter's playstyle in the New War (stealthy tactical shooter) was far more enjoyable than their Duviri playstyle. It felt a lot more cohesive.
That's my opinion though.
Only reason i touch railjack is for nightwave or sisters and the other is for the circuit for frames that are a pain to get.
When i play railjack today, i can see the potential it had and still probably has. Unfortunately, due to the problematic launch and the distaste it developed for the players, that potential may never be realized.
Unfortunately, you may be right. But, under Rebecca's lead, who knows what the future holds. We just need to wait and see.
reasons why they failed:
they don't feel like warframe
Well, one opinion in 8 billion
1999 will most likely succeed because at it's core it's still the Warframe we love.
That's exactly what I'm thinking. It's nothing flashy and unique, it's just normal Warframe with a theme and setting that harks back to its Dark Sector roots.
Fingers crossed the team have done a good job.
Finaly somebody who is not just riding DE for sponsorships and favouritism.
@@gushterell7989 I’ll meatride DE a lot, but not when it isn’t warranted. Being a good fan means acknowledging the fuck-ups.
I would add the Archwing update to this as the precursor to Railjack but, overall, it's a good recap. I really do enjoy Railjack mission but I do wish it was closer to what was promised AND the rewards for doing it were better. It really feels like a wasted opportunity for what was teased. 😓😓
I still can't bring myself to complete Duviri. I know other people love it but it does nothing for me so I don't think I made it further than halfway through, if that far.
Whatever it is, if Pablo touchs it, its good. Lets hope so.
I used to love railjack surprisingly at launch, despite the horrendous grind and bugs, now i just play it if I need to for a weapon or something
Alrighty for my opinion that Railjack on launch was definately definately insanely bad
I was super excited to see where its gonna take and I was super upset when the RJ update
The resource requirements to create the railjack (Dojo, each segments are insane) and you cant use it until the next update happens
Even when the next update did happen, it was hard due how resources you obtain wasnt shared for everyone to pick up, hard to understand with UI display when it 1st launch.
Current RJ? Absolutely fixed everything and im happy it did.
Then to Duviri
I think i managed to set my expectation down.
All I can say is maybe the changes in duviri is either
A) The pandemic C who made work abit different
B) The warframe limitation? Maybe they can do it but guess it was too much to do?
C) Players wouldnt like it just because its too different?
Thats my take why they have few changes
and for 1999
I think it shouldn't be too much of a problem, the very least wont be as RJ launch bad just because its just another hub as Zariman/Nekralist right (God I hope I dont jinx that)
Anyway, love your take and video bud.
They can easily make alot of new game modes with rail jack and existing assets. Doing open world raids or helldiver like raides but no must make a bunch of new Shiney for new players....
I am having fun warframe
Railjack definitely failed at launch, now "there's very little incentive" thats just a lie tbh.
I loved Railjack so so much
The starting feel of it was amazing.
I just hope they add more content to it.
Hopefully it won't be like that this time, but I think it would be better for DE if the release was in January with the whole team available to fix the problems.
ill be honest, id like to see an overhaul on railjack with first getting our content back but also enhancing roles in the railjack itself and making it more interactive
id also like to see the infested but instead of the usual thing of killing them id like for a bit of horror to be added when in an infested region where it will take over the ship and you must defend the ship whilst getting jumpscares and waaiting for engines to come back on
The openworld thing would be very nice if for example on cetus you would be able to hunt grineer ships and overtake them to defend cetus and with fortuna youd be stealing and mining and it would work as a psuedo heist type mission and having to combat an expanded arsenal from the corpus
as for deimos you would be trying to stop the infection onto orbiting ships and doing rescues
i think these would be fun additions to the gameplay of railjack
Another idea is for clans to have their own dedicated railjack which they could use for wars and combat which would be very nice to have some good pvp in the game
Man the railjack hype was so real though.
I very much play duviri and railjack out of need for materials
Railjack just needs more usefull loot and a more challenging experience in the endgame
Only do duviri when i need mats for incarnon ,absolute horrible game mode
For Railjack I just want to go in there and shoot spaceships not infiltrate, I might as well play normal gameplay.
I honestly just play Duviri or Railjack to farm some materials, nothing else. I'm kinda sad it didn't go further than that.
most of these "failed updates" were a result of that one employee that wanted to make a different game/wanted to do other stuff. besides, in my opinion the disconnect from some of the content helps me not feel like im doing the same thing 500x a day
*Cof* cof* Steve*cof *cof*
i hate duviri and will only do it if im farming pathos clamps... tho i love circuit and how it looks. but it's still content im fine it exist in the game than not. if one day they can rework the clunkyness of it, maybe it be more fun. and railjack is "fine" imo... the missions are just too long and the intrinsics take forever to max out, but i dont really feel it's bad. the space battle immersion is great. wish it was more about that than stopping what you're doing to randomly do a survival and then hop back into the ship
PS: one thing i dont like about circuit is that every single update sinse it was released it brings up: new bugs, old bugs and bug bugs that bug the bugs, thats so annoying
I think the reason is taking players into basically an entirely new game with little progression carrying over is the reason.
Annoying rant
I joined at the end of scarlet spear and only had a new player view of railiack, and god that quest was soooooo annoying.
And I think that's the last thing you want from a rogue-lite gamemode, for it to feel repetitive.
@MuchVery personally I like rougelikes but duviri has no build variety especially because you can't choose weapons or frames
If Railjack and Duviri had ended up as we were shown in the introductions, it would have been REALLY GOOD. Is a real pity that's not what we got.
XD
Very cool video by the way and your new microfone sounds amazing!
That would be ideal. But it seems that would have been biting off more than they could chew.
@@MuchVery I mean they could do what no man's sky did and overhaul railjack missions.
