That's professional painting. I can't speak for everyone but for me there is no way I can paint like that .any way that five pieces rims have too much clearance. Red and black are great combination. In case of style at rims is not a pairable appearance

However, I do not use lacquer paint. Lacquer paint is because it can not cope with the climate of Japan.
So, I am using urethane paint in Japan. How to use lacquer and urethane is different.

Answer: If you paint translucent red on black, the black part will remain black.
