It's a good question. If you have sensitive skin or only need some relief for particular events, e.g. visiting someone with stairs that cause pain, leave the tape on for 24 hours or less, repeat application as needed. If you're not sensitive to the adhesive, and you carefully follow how to apply and take off kinesiology tape, you can leave it on for 1-5 days, depending on factors, e.g. if the ends peel, trim the tape ends. If the peeling becomes more advanced, it's time to take it off, and if the area is at all irritated, give it at least a day between taping, if possible. If worried, or you have a history of sensitivity to tape on skin, do a test area of about 4 by 4-inches, wait up to 24 hours, saturate with oil, slowly peel off, wash and pat dry, apply a soothing lotion or cream, and examine the area for irritation.
I've been struggling with knee pain. This is such a big help.
The best help I have seen
I needed this after my run this weekend
This has made a huge difference. Thank you so much! 💓
This made an absolute AMAZING difference in the pain I’ve been having. Thank you SO MUCH!
How much tape tension do you use? 25%, 50% etc?
Thanks for sharing! Very informative!!
Glad it was helpful!
Amanda, how long do you leave tape on? 24/7
Yes 24/7. The elasticity when applied probably will lose its stretch after about 4 days. So take it off between 3-4 days before reapplying
@@triphysio9603 Thankyou
You might want to re-record your video. The pes anserinus bursa overlies the Tibia not the fibula which is on the lateral side of the tibia.
She says it wrong but she does it right 🙃🙂
If it's left on 24/7 doesn't your skin need to breathe?
