You have helped me understand my problem better than anyone I have dealt with!!!! Biomechanics, lymph explained well. Best K tape application I have ever seen!!!! Thank you!!
For months I was in pain every time I took a walk, worked in the garden, or stood up from sitting and the ache was constant. My left pes anserine was so swollen. I found your video by looking for Kinesio taping, and I did that then I started doing your exercises daily. At first, I could only do one set of 10, and now I am doing 3 sets of 10. I have absolutely NO knee pain after 5 days of these exercises. Today, I even worked in the garden on my knees with no pain. It became quite clear that my left gracilis was way short. I can't thank you enough!!!!
This video is amazing! I have seen two people so far and neither of them has paid attention when I POINT directly to this area!!! Thank you thank you!!!
You deserve to have 100x the subs you already do - amazing detail and perfect explanations. I've been to over 100 hrs of in person phys therapy and this video helped me more than all of that. Phenomenal, keep it up!
I'm so grateful for this video! Not only for the precision you explain every detail, but (by a person who's not very fluent in English like me) also for the clarity of your pronounciation. Thank you.
Thank you for this excellent taping technique and exercises 🙏 👌 It Enabled me dance at a Rockabilly Event for 2 nights and 3 day's 💃 lots of fast dancing . Both knees were injured from rock and roll dancing doing triple stepping with low heels 4 months ago. Note to self, no heels, no triple stepping... keep exercising and stretching. Flat shoes are the bomb!
I have been struggling with this pain for about 3 years after my TLKR surgery, and was at a loss as to what was wrong. I have just started seeing a biokineticist. Your channel and particularly this video, has amazing, detailed information. Thank you so much for the time and effort taken to do this video. I had a TKA 8 weeks ago and struggling with this pain as well, bummed to read you struggled with it for 3 years! Do you know what caused it and what did you do to resolve it??

I had severe pain at that region Pas Anserine of my right leg after frequent exercises on my vibrating platform for 15 to 30 mins mins per day for more than two months . Since then I am so scared to use the platform vibrant again . I have to wear my ZAMST knee strap most of the time when I feel the slightest tingling sensation . The pain was excruciating the moment I stood up on the right foot . The X-Ray show nothing abnormal . It must be what you said " Pes Anserine Bursitis " My doctor said " arthritis " ?? Thank you for your video . I now understand my condition .
Of all the videos i have tried for this problem, this is the one that finally fixed me. I didn't do taping, but I did the exercises faithfully. And I'm totally knock- knee'd!
What a fantastic video... I am definitely going to do all the exercises mentioned here - I have the pain on my inner left knee and hopefully this will help me resolve it and get back to my tango dancing with smiles. Just to say after watching several videos yours is by far the best... thank you so much... 🙂...
TQVM for the useful info & detailed explanation. I'm definitely going to try out the exercises as been suffering the pain for 3 months. So far this the best video.
Only a pleasure! So glad I could help! Try the exercises in the rehab series I'm doing now. I'm sure they will help you. Second and third video in the rehab series still to come. Work on the exercises from the first video this week!
Thank you very much. This video is excellent. I am going to start doing these exercises to fix my knee problem. My pain is more outside my knee. Amanda thanks again for your education about knee and mechanics. Only one thing I'm out of drugs, just little cold for the swelling and rest. After following this video .thanks like this channel.
I came across your series on Pes Anserine Bursitis and am thoroughly impressed with your presentation. Your clear explanations of what this condition is, what causes it, and how to treat it are outstanding. I have struggled with this condition for a few years and am feeling so hopeful that these exercises will lead to improvement. Thank you!!!
I'm a licensed massage therapist. I remember studying the Pes Anserine. When it came to figuring out what this medial knee pain is that I've had for months... upon searching your UA-cam video came up. I want to thank you for this excellent overview of what can be a very debilitating painful life altering experience. I haven't been able to walk like I used to. I was ready to call an orthopedic office tomorrow but I believe this is the answer. I never felt it was in my knee, I didn't think it was meniscus. I have Rock Tape and I taped my knee as you explained. It relieved the burning pain significantly! I'll start doing the exercises you expertly demonstrated. Thank you so much!!!

Thankyou sooo much Amanda. You have explained everything so well. I have pes anserine bursitis and saw a physio 6 months ago but not getting many results. So I’m so excited. I bought the k tape today and I’m sure I’m going to get the results I need 😊
Only a pleasure! I'm sorry to hear you haven't been coming right.. have you done any rehab exercises up until now? What did your physio say was the reason behind the development of the bursitis?
@@triphysio9603 Hi Amanda. Yes I have some rehab exercises but I never really felt them in my glutes. Whereas your exercises I can feel it working my glutes. The physio said the cause of my bursitis is my glutes aren’t working hard enough and therefore the muscles in the thigh is working too hard placing strain on the bursa

Thanx. I was in search of this info and i found you. I have had dibilitating pain in my inner knee and was gropping in the dark. Well aticulated and insightful.
3:31 when you said this, I just knew my sx were due to this dx. I'm a male, wide hips, runner (80 mpw) and recently took a road trip. No pain before road trip out but on way back after 12 hours on road, this pn started the next day during some flexion movement jumping in bed. I couldn't put my knees together while sleeping on my side either. Palpated a small mobile mass roughly medial to the knee w/pn radiating distally to calf. How strange running didn't casue this but sitting on my butt, lateral movements at foot (gas pedal) and with very little rest in between caused this? This is the only video I came across that noted "sitting" as a predisposition variable. Very nice!!! edit: I find Diclofenac topical gel works wonderfully, though temprarily to decrease pain. I need to stretch better too. edit again: ugh, I'm commenting while watching this :). But yeah, one issue that should have hinted something like this was coming was leg swelling during the road trip. I run so dang much and keep pretty active, this doesn't usually happen. It did though on this trip. I'm never driving this distance again. Never lol.
Thanks for your comment! Yes, very interesting that that is what caused it! Your hamstrings may be very shortened already, and the prolonged sitting may have aggravated that to the point of compression of the bursa!
@@triphysio9603 why does that specific cream help this condition? I have some in a drawer. I also have magnesium oil would that help either the bursa directly or better for the three muscles instead? Since magnesium helps spasms would it help at all or no? I take “fortified multi collagen protein” by LEVELUP, cayenne, cod liver oil and turmeric but they dont seem to touch the pain/inflammation. I dont have any noticeable swelling. I have celebrex in a drawer as well, does that need to build up for a few days in order for it to be effective or can I take it on specific days that I know I will be pushing my body harder for the same effect? I ask because I try to limit taking medications.
@@diver4life79 It probably makes sense to "prepare" your body for the specific days with stretching. I have this specific knee pain very often for at least 10 years and just found out about these specific muscles. During the worst times I had to sleep with a pillow between the knees etc. I also used Diclofenac cream (keeping it in the fridge). It just helps against the pain by cooling and absorption in to the tissue. since used locally I think you can use it without worrying so much about it, but better ask a doctor about this. The most important part will be exercises for strengthening and lengthening the muscles like described in the video. Just a little bit every day over a long time and I am sure you can be pain free. In general one of the best exercises for strengthening the knee is simple backwards walking. But this is more of a general tip and not for this specific cause of pain. Good luck on your journey to healthy knees.
I just found your video looking for treatment for pain in this area. I had an leg injury right in this area just over a year ago and it was severely black and blue. Every once in a while when I walk a lot the area will become inflamed and cause knee pain. I have been using a compression sleeve but I don’t think it’s helping like it did whe I first had the injury. I still have numbness below my knee and I feel a sort of knot in the area where you indicated the pes anserine bursa is. The area also feels warm after I’ve been walking a lot. I feel pain when my leg is straight, when walking and if slightly twisting my knee to turn my foot. I will try taping and see how that works. I’m not sure about starting exercises yet, I’m afraid if causing more damage and pain.
You should probably ask a doctor first and do some PT in person if you're afraid. I've had both knees repaired for torn meniscus, was doing well and then broke an ankle. I have knee bursitis now for 10 months after the broken ankle. Wore the tall boot for 4 months and it affected the opposite knee a lot as I was walking with a lot of pressure leaning on the opposite leg. I didn't do the stretching and PT exercises like I should have and it's still painful. I'm an avid hiker so it's affected me considerably. It goes away some then returns when I walk more than a couple miles. It still got warm in the bursae area and more painful so I realized I had to do what I should have back then. I think you need to start stretching it some, it will keep get tighter and more painful if you don't. Don't do exercises till it's painful, just stretch to get them elongated and then do strengthening after some time, but ask PT expert or research to see when. Your body will tell you if it's too much. After a year you most certainly are way past being ready to do stretches, it's way past time if you still have inflammation and pain. You don't want this to affect your life for years. Don't let the idea that it's not good to stretch 'if you still have pain', stop you. Stretching will help you. Don't walk too much, just enough to get warmed up, 10 mins or so, then do stretches. Gradually get into strengthening after a couple weeks. Discomfort with stretching is okay, pain is not.
@@cln87 Thank you so much for your response. The pain comes and goes and like you its after i've walked for a bit or walked on uneven ground. I've been to the doc and have had xrays, an mri and sonogram of the area and they don't see what could be the problem. I was told that my knee pain is from low cartilage that wore away over time and this is after he told me he doesn't see anything in the mri or xrays. Before my accident I had no knee pain at all so I was skeptical of that. He didn't mention bursitis at all. I was supposed to do PT but I felt like the doc I saw brushed off my concerns and since the PT is done in his office I felt like he ordered it just because. I started doing some stretches and will continue. We are doing a road trip soon to some national parks so i'm trying to get myself prepared for a lot of walking. To be honest i've been stretching for 3 days, taped all day yesterday and i'm already feeling a difference in the area.
Hi Debbie. Have you been to a physio for a proper one on one assessment? If not, I would highly recommend that you do that. It doesn't altogether sound like you have pes anserine bursitis, I think you may have MCL (medical collateral ligament/medial meniscus) involvement. Hard to say without assessing you, so maybe dont start on these exercises until you have been given a clear diagnosis and plan for treatment! Hope this helps
@@triphysio9603 thank you so much for your response. I haven’t started the exercises, just some stretching and taping. The taping has helped so so much! I will look into going to a physio soon!
Thank you so much. This has been my problem. I also have been vibrating my whole leg with a homedic vibrater. That has helped the blood flow to the sore areas and loosen the tight muscles and tendons.

I worked in a quarry, and my job was to drive heavy equipment. For about a solid year, I would drive this loader down a road full speed, and every 5 seconds or so, I would hit a pothole. When hitting these potholes, it was like a huge shock to my leg over and over and over again. After about a year, there is severe pain in my knee in the areas mentioned. I wish I just had enough common sense to stop myself when it was happening, but hey, I had bills to pay. Would massage help this?

Great content! Well explained! Thank your for taking time to prepare this (and other!) videos 🙏🏻 Just subscribed :)
Excellent content and well explained, keep up the great work!
First class presentation - very clear. Thank you.
Best video ever!
Thanks a lot, your lecture is informative
You explain it good Sister thank you
Very informative. New sub. Great video
Excellent video. Nice job.
Helpful video. Thank you!
Great explanation and exercises. Any suggestions for someone that does not have good balance, or unable to lie on a floor? From previous injury
Thoroughly, thoroughly grateful 😔😔🤗
Many thanks. Love your accent 😍
Amazing! Subscribed 👍🏼
Thank you so much. This has been my problem. I also have been vibrating my whole leg with a homedic vibrater. That has helped the blood flow to the sore areas and loosen the tight muscles and tendons.
Awesome! Thankyou! Do you have Pes Anserine Bursitis?
I'm glad to hear you have found something that's helped. Have you done any rehab exercises for it?
Very informative...😊
Thanks for sharing.

Really helpful and clearly explained. Thank you!
GREAT CONTENT, MANY THANKS.
I have pain whenever I start running below my knee on the inside. It's a real pain in the butt!
I hope these exercises and the taping technique helped!
Super helpful thanks
Thanks so much! Hope it helped:)
Thanks very well explained
Only a pleasure! And thanks for the feedback😊
Excellent video!!! Thank you!!!
Amazing information 💥
Excellent! Thank you!
Hello, thank you so much for this video. Can you tell what brand of tape you are using. I'm using KT Tape and can't cut it in the middle of strip for proper tensions adjustment. Only whole piece of lining paper comes out and ends of tape also in tension.
Hi there. I'm not understanding fully what you are saying, but I use either leukotape or MX tape, both of which are sold in South Africa. What country are you from?

Great video lots of good info. The last exercise is like a lunge. Is it the same if I do a slow revers lunge in the middle of an open floor or does it have to be done near a wall sliding my foot back? Thanks in advance
