    My feed didn’t bring this video up…silly UA-cam. I’m glad you’re doing well! You don’t have to spend a ton of money to get an awesome sound. Welcome back!

    Glad you’re alive. Thanks for promoting the VLA pro so much. Finally got one and it changed my life. I don’t even have to use d-essers anymore because it dissolves most of that 😮‍💨🔥🔥

    I have a lot of great mics...MK4, NT1, SM7B, ATH 2030 and more and I find the Origin my go to mic for UA-cam videos. I go through a Behringer UV1 which is a great instrument for voice over/YT.

    Never used this one but I used the spirit and honestly I didn’t like it for how harsh the highs were, it’s like dark in the mids but bright in the top around the 10k range, but it is warmer sounding for sure but I am starting to feel like warmer mics are more sibilant then thin bright mics , I usually go for bright mics aswel, maybe I’ll check this one out, maybe It’ll be the one!

      I own the u87 and often use the spirit. The highs can get piercing but what I do is use a foam windscreen on the mic and then I use soothe2 to tame those harsher frequencies which are sound 3-5khz and what your left with is a very smooth warm and present sound. Sleeper mic if you know how to mix

    I have an aston orgin mic, and I tried plugging it into my harbinger mt200 pa system with speakers, but for some reason, the sound is not coming out and we looked into the subject more and still couldn'tfind the problem, do you think the scarlet solo 3 gen would fix this problem?

      I would get the rode nt1

    • @rylandweet7750
      @rylandweet7750 2 роки тому +2

      I’d get the nt1 like the other guy said, it suits the audients pres way better, the sm7b is not a clean enough mic compared to condensers, and I don’t mean because of the preamp hiss or anything but in general it just is a fuzzy sounding mic, assuming you want to do vocals definitely stick to the condensers, I prefer the nt1 over my at4040, and sometimes but rarely over my at4050, I prefer it over a ton of mics actually lol but if you aren’t squashing your vocals with compression and colouring you’re vocals much then the nt1 will be boring!

    • @priintplayzz
      @priintplayzz 2 роки тому +1

      @@rylandweet7750 My vocal chain is the ssl2plus , Rode nt1 , shure sm7b with the art pro mpa2 I changed the stock pre amps and omg amazing recordings . The art pro mpa2 is an amazing pre amp . I agree with you about the shure sm7b I don’t like the shure on rap vocals at all . I can more tolerate it on singing only because the type of voice I have but when I engineer clients in my home I use the rods . The shure sm7b sounds way to fuzzy and It don’t sound transparent on beats

    • @rylandweet7750
      @rylandweet7750 2 роки тому +1

      @@priintplayzz yeah the art mpaii is awesome , have you swapped the tubes? You’ll get waaaaay better results , also do you turn on the high voltage switch? I also love the impedance knob, that thing is amazing.
      Yep for singing the sm7b is alright for sure, but once you have quick vocals with it, every thing you say is just harsh at the beginning of each word and harsh as the end of words, I do like taking the foam off of it since it is mostly the foam that causes that, take note do not use nylon pop filters ever, just use metal one because the nylons reeeeeally mess with the highs so bad it almost hurts the ears, I never tried the nt1 though the mpaii though but I want to try to someday when I get them around

    • @priintplayzz
      @priintplayzz 2 роки тому +1

      @@rylandweet7750 Yeah when I said “I changed the stock pre amps” in my previous comment I meant to say I changed the stock tubes in the mpa2 but hell yeah it makes the recordings way better . Only when I record using the sm7b I turn on high plate voltage just so I can cut though the darkness of the sm7b because of it being a dynamic mic . I don’t use high plate Voltage on the sm7b because that mic is already very flat and kinda thin sounding . I bought the tung sol 12a7 tubes from
      Amazon . The mpa is definitely a killer . I’m going to try using the sm7b without the pop
      Shield I never tried it because I always hated the way it looks without it’s pop shield lol

    Candid feedback, there’s a lot of repetition in these videos. Same points over and over.
    The content is good though, maybe think about scripting the narrative.
