Thanks for nice video Shao道! I felt that the Spirit had a richer resolution. Actually, my Aston Origin broke a few days ago and I was looking for what to buy next, but this video made me want the Spirit! The Origin was great for recording overhead drums as well as vocals and acoustic guitar, but this is the second time it has broken, so I'm a little concerned about durability.
Just started watching this, but just purchased the spirit, and a studio I go to has 2 origins and swears by them. Thought I'd try the spirit for the transformer sound. Not tried it yet but can't wait. So in the mean time. Thanks.
Thank-you. I have the Origin and this video helped me decide on the Spirit. After listening to them both on my set-up, I agree fully with your findings. It is even more noticeable than I thought it would be after listeing to the UA-cam based comparisons. I heard it instantly, especially the low end. My Origin will now be used as a second mic for acoustic guitar et. cetera. So as you said, it adds that little extra overall, and certainly more low end I want for male vocals.
The origin is the spirit with 80 rolloff turned off. Why would you get the spirit when you could eq the end off or turn the 80rolloff switch on the spirit to sound more origin like
@@ShaoDowMusic the reason Aston made the spirit was because the origin wasn’t having the low sound like the spirit does that’s why the spirit wins out of all the other Aston microphones is because is the one that is the easiest to EQ
l have a Aston Origin with a SSL2, would you recommend l buy an additional startup preamp? something with a Tube in it for color or im good how l am right now?
Personally, I'd do all you can to treat your bedroom, hang some blankets up or invest in an isolation ball and reflection backboard. Even the best mics can sound terrible in the wrong recording environment.
Thanks for nice video Shao道!

Happy to help

I'm really glad I was able to help your decision making.
Very enjoyable and informative. Thanks Shao Go! My vote is for the larger one!

It's not. But good luck to you all the same 😂
@@ShaoDowMusic I have both how are they not
@@ShaoDowMusic I didn’t mean it literally but how do you see it different
@@Lukrakykrank2 I have both two. May be your ears aren't good?

Really nice Review! Thank you!
The edit looks noice. I just started but it already looks so good.
Oh thanks
What kind of Xlr cable would your recommended for these mics.
Great review! This was very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Spirit has more pronounced dense low-mid
I like that and think if necessary I can eq that on the post
I preferred the origin
I like the spirit myself. Going to buy this month
Great review! Thank you!
My pleasure. Thanks for watching
How does the mic and halo work in an untreated bedroom??

In the end which do you recommend, spirit or origin.
Depends on your personal circumstances. But quick answer would be The Spirit
i have both of then but i prefer the spirit it has better quality sound, but can you do a best eq for the spirit..
I’m loving the Spirit for sure 💯
That makes two of us
@@ShaoGoExplore 💯🫡
the spirit looks way more better and clear
Thanks for the clarification ! For those with a rough voice, what is the best choice SPIRIT or ORIGIN?
I'd say the spirit if you can afford it, just because it gives you a much more rich tone in the recording
@@ShaoGoExplore thank you very much
Sick demo! Thx
I thought you were going to sing. You can't really tell unless you are singing. You look like a singer though lol
The soul is better to sing
............................................
The original is better for podcast
It’s the transformer, and the dual diaphragm.
Lyrics are comical 😂, the spirit has a little something extra on recording drums
Comical in an awesome way. I know. Thank you.
I don't care if the manufacturer is from England or somewhere else in the world.
I care about the sound and the quality of the microphone.
It's got a good quality sound.
