If you wonder why you're not getting the output you thought you would, turn the mic around 180 degrees. Yes, I had the mic in the mount wrong. It's okay to laugh.
cant get it to work for me, i have a sm7b and it works just fine with 48v on and the aston just doesnt work at all. same cable no cloudlifter plugged in or anything. just didnt work out of the box
He said "in post". He meant that once you have the audio recorded, you edit in your DAW, applying effects, filters, etc. To do that you'd want to download something like Audacity (it's free) or buy/download any other software. I'm using Sound Forge, Reaper and even OBS to record audio. Good luck.

Aston mics are slept on. Yes they’re bright quit crying and learn how to mix. Great video
No good for rap vocals. Keep it to instruments.
