I discovered the youngest and fastest player to reach Supersonic Legend ssl in Rocket League.
This is the hardest rank to achieve in rocket league, and in this video. I'm going to be showing you how Solar was able to reach supersonic legend ssl much faster than anyone else

How to rank up in simple terms - freeplay until your bored, 1s until your tilted (repeat)
So: freeplay for about an hour, 2min of 1s game and rage quitting and freeplay again😂

@@haydonholder9859 bro wtf am only 800 hours and am high c1 ????
@@zqz.66 not everyone is like you bro
@@zqz.66 it's because of genetics. Look at the Minnesota twin studies and IQ
@@haydonholder9859 it took me 3000 to get champ 1 too. I was still platinum after 2000 but flew through diamond. I've got bad handwriting and motor skills as I have autism
I think another big aspect is playing every day. If you don't, you risk getting out of form which harms your progress because you can't rely on your consistency which affects your decision making and makes it less clear what is the way that one is supposed to play with some set of mechanics.
Yeah that’s a very good point
idk but when i come back from a break from the game for a few days, i play much better than i used to
Another good point is sometimes to make a milestone in your progress you have to take a step back I was hardstuck plat 1 took a 1 week break and cleared my mental came back with chad energy on the field and I was all the way up to diamond 2 by the end of the next 2 weeks of playing I think mental state while playing is also up there in importance maybe more important than training or putting in hours
@@idkwhattoputhere5503 me too bro 😂😂
@@idkwhattoputhere5503 same
I mean realistically. It all depends on your consistency. If given the time to play rocket league everyday, 1000 hours is a lot of time. that's 40+ days of straight playing day in day out. The reason it takes so much longer is because people have commitments, slumps, off days. However if every ounce of effort is given to getting better without life distracting ur progress, 1000 hours could get you very high in the game.
Also u can tilt in rank or train in freeplay
or you can spend 600 hours as a plat in freeplay practicing flip resets
That kids 11? His voice sounds like he hit puberty 10 years ago. What a young Chad.
I find it correct about playing 1s makes you a better player in 2v2 and 3v3, i started playing 1s last season and I am at diamond 2 (peak) and when I went back to playing 2s consistently, I ranked up easily to champ 2, and previous seasons I would battle to JUST reach champ1 to get the season rewards, now I’m very comfortably at c2 levels just from starting to play 1s
I was a 1s main for the first 2000, couldn't get past diamond 1. I've quit ones and been to what's been champ 3 MMR thanks to not playing 1s
from my experience ones improves decision making and consistency, but playing top much ones makes it hard to play with a team
Yeah it’s mostly for 2v2 cuz the standard is going for solo plays and/or having 1v1 situations because you get punished for making passing plays on 2v2, or so I’ve heard from pro players I’ve watched on yt or twitch
@@christiantaylor1495 I think it was the 1s gameplay that made you good enough for c3, what rank are you now.

@@TheJoesmif Honestly, No, I don't, Most people says it comes with playing the game and I believe that, Some people learn the game quicket, Some don't, Some spend days on the game, Some spend a couple hours. It all depends on how you want to play
This video really helped me out bro, I was hard stuck in c2 for a year and then after this video I started to do like a routine. When I opened the game I would go to Freeplay for at least 5 minutes just to warm up and after that I would play like 10 or 20 games of 1s and then some 3s or 2s. I did this for at least 6 months every single day and it REALLY helped me. In July I finally got to c3 and just a few months later (to be more specific, in November) I got to gc in 2s and 3s for my first time having only 1.2k hours (I know it's not as good as the guy on the video, but it's much better than the average time a player would take just to get to gc). I didn't really practice anything, I just got more and more consistent at every aspect of the game because of this routine. Playing 1s is definitely the best way to improve in Rocket League.

Great video man
Even though 1s is hell and one of the most hated modes. It's still the best way to improve because you have to take every touch and possession into account. Many pros have said if you're good at 1s, it'll translate over to 2s then to 3s.
so ball time makes you better. you are going to get more ball time in freeplay and 1's than the other modes, hence why you will see better returns (at least mechanically) for your time in those modes. I think once you have the skills in 1's you can more easily apply positioning and team play once you move over to the other modes
Hey good I like the way it made keep it going and damn I gotta start playing more ones
There was a time when I was peaking. C1 to gc1 just 10 mmr away from gc2 and plat 3 to c2 in solos in less than a month. It all went downhill from there.
I’m around 250 hours and just hit C1 last season, I recommend a lot of casual/free play. Free play is great for learning setups, and casual is great for practicing against real people. I’m pretty high MMR in cas for my rank, so I constantly run into GCs and SSLs which is great practice

At 1k hours and the highest rank I've ever gotten is c3. I don't play too consistently or practice at all so progress is pretty slow. I've also taken many breaks, so I've had to restart my progress many times. The main thing with ranking up is consistency.
I played over 2000 hours in my first year and didn't even get to mid diamond despite playing every day except a few birthday events etc
I played for 1.8k hours and im still hardstuck in diamond 2
I love how they say “only” 2300 hours that almost 96 days straight

And the fact that there’s someone who spent 8x that much but is still in gold 💀

Maybe maybe 👀
I'm d3 almost c1 with 3 days 10 hours in the game on Xbox. I got the game when it hit free to play. when I got to plat I stopped playing for almost a year.
Sleeping is very important too. 8-10 hours of sleep will help you the next day you play rocket league. It will make your reaction time quicker and you will be able to focus a little better. Taking breaks is also important so you don’t get so tilted you’re losing because of it.
Meanwhile I’m here with 3k hours and only GC1, damn I suck.
i had 1.5k hours at diomand cuz i was a freestyler
I'm D3 with only 380 hours, which is about 1/3 of the average hours required. Do you/solar have any tips for me to reach C1 in the near future or is it a matter of just putting more hours in?
im not great at the game, im c1 with 1.2k hours. its all about the amount of consistent time you put in. its all about practice, just like anything else. if u play for like an hour a day everyday youll get better quicker. like the vid suggests playing 1's is best as you get more time on the ball. Dont worry about ranking up tbh, if you play and have fun and most importantly learn from your mistakes you'll rank up naturally
Ok thanks.
@@theanomaly3238 Hey im c2 with around 400 hours. You should focus on playing smart ( rotations etc) and focus on a mechanics like car control

Nice video
lol i think i saw you on mustys video where he pretended to be sunlesskhan
What he has done is exceptional. He will be pro one day. He doesn't plateau like the rest of us to achieve this so fast.
For all platforms but steam (I believe) you can only see hours spent in matches. For me that number is 395 hours. I hit GC at about 370 hours. Steam says I have 1600 hours in the game though. Most of that is freeplay. If he plays 30 hours a week for a year that is 1560 hours. The fact that his in game hours is at 1300 means his over all play time has to be a lot higher. Probably at least 2300. IMO most high ranked players are on steam and the hour figures they usually use are the steam stats not the in game stats. I think that strongly skews the "hours played for X rank" graphs.
Let me doo doo on his fantastic achievement just a little more. Being 11 helps. Young brains are very adaptable. They mold certain ways faster than older brains. This stops at about 13. By starting young he has a massive advantage in terms of the hours he needs to sink.
Also no job or responsibilities. If i can put in 10 hrs a week thats good.
That’s why ppl in like the olympics or smthn start EXTREMELY young
@@Avtomotkalashnikova47 *i was puttin in the hours hours hours i waaas...*
Epic can see their total hours via clicking the dots to view more about the game. PS4 players can view their time spent with RL open via viewing the game's save location. PS5 players can view their hours spent by going to their profile, games, and under each game title displays the hours. Xbox players can see their time spent with RL open by looking in their Xbox achievements for each game.
As for your point about his hours, that is much closer to correct. If you go to his RocketLeagueTracker, he has a total of 5,865 online wins. If you divide this by 0.55 (55% winrate, a good estimate), then his total online games are ~10,633. Multiply by 7 for average game time (including OTs, replays, etc etc) and you get ~74,645. Divide by 60 for hours and you get ~1,244 hours. Multiply by two for an estimate of spending just as much time in training as in matches (especially waiting in-between queues contributes) and it's an estimated 2,488 hours. Even if I subtract his roughly 500 games played since the new season started, he still has ~2,372 hours.
It's also quite telling that he hit SSL only in 1v1. This has the lowest rating requirement _and_ has the highest percentage of SSLs than the other normal modes. The other modes it is the top 0.01% while 1v1 is the top 0.03% in the last official Psyonix rank distribution for Season 5 (the last season's isn't out yet, should be in at most 2 weeks, as most rank distributions released within 2-5 weeks of that season's end). He hasn't reached SSL in 2v2. But he did get close at 1800 rating (it's 1875 to promote into SSL). Anyway, I don't think he's some freak. The fact that he played lots of 1s is the reason why he improved so quickly. Almost nobody plays that much 1s, and typically the best players who've won RLCS World Championships had a strong 1v1 game.
Improving in 1s will target the most important skills. And no, it's not "rotation". It's reading what the other player intends to do with the ball and positioning accordingly. Rotation is literally just a stand-in skill because you can rotate fine, but with poor positioning it means little to nothing. "Rotation" is only as good as your positioning, which is far stronger of a skill and one you can get in 1v1, and then it can be changed and molded to 2v2/3v3 style positioning much more easily. Because if you know where to position when disadvantaged, and trusting other players' positioning on your team, then you are far more effective than just rotating well. Really, all great rotation is just "moving to the best position" anyway. Which is why 1v1 helps. But then there's other skills like outplaying the other player, which can translate into lethality in other modes.
So he's not a freak, he just deliberately practiced (another thing that most people do not do, they just practice repetitions instead of doing it properly) while also focusing on the mode that is the most effective and efficient for improving the most important skills (consistency, prediction, positioning, boost management, risk management, lethality, decision making, etc etc).
