Dude, you have the best how-to videos. I need to lift the back of my ZR2 just a little and fix the lean. This is so much easier than what I was thinking.
That was easy enough to do. Was wondering what your measurements on the front wheel wells are. Would be curious to see exactly how level it sits. Also by lifting the rear does it affect the front end alignment ?
The truck was pretty much dead level before the blocks. I think the front was ~1/8-1/4" lower. Swapping the blocks out should not affect any alignment. Had to adjust my Bilstein coilovers yesterday tho, so I took the truck over to the alignment shop this afternoon for an alignment tomorrow though.
I have a 2016 Canyon SLT ...the driver side rear is about 1.25 inches lower than than the passenger right rear...I am wondering if I just installed one of them (driver rear) will take away that "lean" on the back.....the vehicle is quite level in the front (less than 1/4 inch difference between driver and passenger)
I would not advise doing that. You’ll mess up the pinion angle even more than it currently is. You need to figure out the root problem to your leafs sagging first.
@@fondupot thanks for the quick response...I recently noticed the "lean" in the rear...I just finished researching the internet and found GMC put out a TSB to repair it (out of warranty)....the fix is to install a shim (just like a block) in the exact same place...lol....the TSB number is 18-NA-108....
Wow you made a potentially complicated process seem so simple and straightforward. Great job! Are you open to doing any review that related to Auto led lighting? We just emailed you for inquiring that. Hope what we offer could be a part of your fantastic content 🤙🏻
If you find one shoot it my way if you don’t mind! I got a 16 2wd with just under 160k miles on it and I gotta keep an eye on coolant levels cause it’s loosing it somewhere but can’t figure it out. I first thought I had blown a head gasket the first time I as I was about to change the oil and the overflow tank was empty but everything else was fine. Are you having similar issues?
Thanks for checking in. All is well. Just busy with my real job and life. Not much time for videos lately. And UA-cam slashed my revenue by over 50% so it’s not as worthwhile anymore. I don’t really have anything planned for the trucks, but I may throw a video up sometime.
How do you like the composite locking tile floor you have? I'm debating epoxy vs the tile. I'm worried about the epoxy flooring with my snowmobiles, the carbides and studs are going to mangle it up if I drive on it
Eh. I didn’t put it in. The previous owners of our house did. It is slippery when wet, and gets squished when I use my jacks and jacks stands to lift my vehicle. I’ve thought about removing it, I prefer Roxy floors. For you tho, with sleds, not sure what’s the best option for you.
Be sure to check the video description for important links to the items I used in the video, and links to other related suspension videos!

@@PieceKeepr thanks a lot. I have all the part numbers in hr description. Good luck!
Great video when I look up part numbers on gm the blocks say they only fit zr2 so they do fit regular Colorado/canyon?
This video is proof that it fits non-ZR2 trucks. 👍🏻 fits all models
@@fondupot thanks appreciate the response truck looks great by the way
Thanks!
Wow that’s surprisingly easy
Yea it was a piece of cake!

Yea but I think it’s only a 1/2” shim. This block is 1.25”.
How does the truck ride with the blocks and Bilstiens in back? I did the blocks and looking to upgrade the stock shocks
I feel like it actually rides better! Either block in back.
Mine rides so rough in the rear. I still have stock shocks. Do I need longer shocks.
Did you add blocks?
@@fondupot yes
@bradmalonedr1 shocks are probably worn from being overextended. Replace them with longer ones to accommodate the extra height.

Got a video on testing for a coolant leak? 2015 chevy colorado
I do not.

I’m curious, if you did all that, why didn’t you replace the bump stops with better ones?
Check out my more recent video about my Perry Parts bump stops.
I want to say this is the same application you can do on a Colorado correct
Correct. These blocks are from a ZR2
Thank you
Hey buddy hope all is good, haven't seen anything in a while 😜
