Now that you've looked at GFL2, I recommend you look at their non-gacha game Reverse Collapse: Codename Bakery. It will make it more than clear that this game is very much a passion project.
as someone who beat it in hardest difficulty pre nerf I agree, sadly once you find the secret gamemode and collect everything there's isnt much replayability apart from self imposed challenge
They said we'll stay a year behind. They switch up banners and will add certain qol features earlier, but when it comes to releases, they'll take the same pace. And about the game feeling like a passion project: that's because it is. GFL1 makes nearly no money because of its generosity (iirc 70k a month?). The CEO stated multiple times that he won't let the game die. GFL (the franchise) is a story he wants to tell and GFL2 is the canon continuation of it and the player's commander. Whether it makes 70k or 700k doesn't matter to him. The fact that GFL1 has a complete story and ran for so many years while making tiny amounts of profit is proof. The fact that they always stuck to their roots (difficult strategy gameplay, dystopian dark story, and a side of fanservice) despite it being very niche for a mobile game is too.
lots of people (can't even call them players at this point) always misunderstand, calling MICA team lazy and such in designing and pushing out content But that's the perk, you can't push a passion project, you can't have a FREE game with a lot of content but not the same amount of monetization.
Yh as someone who just joined in GFL with GFL 2, it really feels like they are generous. A battle pass and subscription are basically all you need to get more good stuff.
Yeah GFL1 and PNC have been running perpetually behind the CN servers, as well, and I don't expect that will change with GFL2. If nothing else, they need time to localize the story, which is always a pretty hefty part of MICA games.
@@originaldarkwater Yh and even then the localization makes a few slip ups. but it gives us the advantage of knowing what's coming. let's just hope that it won't hamper the global version to much since I'm having quite the fun with it. Gives me plenty of time for Springfield :)
13:35 - About MiCA's generosity, this is why those familiar with MiCA say that they're like the cockroach of gacha games. GFL is one of the first gachas, they earn so little revenue per month, they're near the bottom of the gacha list in Sensor Tower, reknown for being troubled in CN/KR/JP, and neglected in EN, and yet, *somehow*, everything still works out. Unlike the other first-gacha monsters like Kancolle, Granblue, FGO, who has huge companies backing them, MiCA is just... MiCA. And they have a small, yet loyal following, and all MiCA wants is for others to enjoy their games. GFL2 being this popular in global is such an unprecedented feat, I don't think *anyone*, not even the devs, expected it, and I'm so excited to see where it goes from here
GFL1 is almost weird when it comes to gachas in how you pretty much dont pay for characters, you grind stages for a chance of getting them and use way more than plentiful materials to build them (you are more limited by timers than materials) i only ever bought 2 monthly premium currency things and those went to pay for expansion slots rather than pulls, during events even if you dont roll the event doll no worries, 500 medals from completing stages and you can just buy the doll, you can grind that out in a day if you focus on it only real way to pay for pulls would be to buy materials (at absolutely horrible rates, never do this as materials will only be usable in construction for which no limited time dolls exist), ive heard that the actual place where you are meant to spend your money is the costume gacha which yeah, the tokens for that cant be farmed that fast
As a long time GFL1 player, I'm so used to seeing GFL scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of revenue (their merch must sell well for them even to be able to pay their people and even Project Neural Cloud didn't make much of a splash), that I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone seeing GFL2 doing great and getting all this attention! As a company that's always been extremely player-friendly and consistently delivers great story (and music!) I couldn't be happier to have them finally see success and I, too, and excited to see what they'll do next!
@@joule400 They also very helpfully *warn you* to not buy materials, saying its not a great exchange but still offer the option if you reaaaally want.
I'm glad that you are enjoying GFL2! As a GFL veteran, I just wanted to point out how well this game runs on all of my devices (compared to GFL1 that ran on its ancient spaghetti code). In GFL2, my phone doesn't get hot, it loads very fast, and the gameplay is easy to perform just like on PC. Just a heads up, Mica Team is renown for having a completely random event schedule for Global servers in their games, aka dartboard. Thus, I recommend banking enough pulls for 1 SSR character that is considered a "must pull" from the CN server.
@@fashyakupercent20 She's pretty good a healer like Suomi and good support for Tololo. But Klukai is still a lot better. If you don't have Tololo with at least 2 dupes she's not worth pulling if you have Suomi, who's a better healer.
Girls' Frontline: Project Neural Cloud runs well even on my ancient iOS 15 iPad that hasn't been able to run GFL1 for a while, now. Obviously MICA learned their lesson and picked up a few quality programmers.
Seems to be a common misconception: The gun isn't named after Suomi, Suomi is named after the gun, which is a real-life WWII Finnish submachine gun. (And, I just discovered, is the Finnish name for Finland, itself.) All the T-Dolls in GFL1 were named after the guns they were imprinted on, but most of them have taken on actual names in GFL2, in the game fiction to declare their freedom or to be more human-like, but in reality, I understand it had more to do with gun companies taking a dim view of the gun names being used without permission, even if they weren't technically using the trademarked company names with them.
To add on to OP, the reason they have gun code names in the first place is because Kryuger(our boss) made it a rule for all the dolls to be named after the gun they are imprinted on, and to also make the commanders or humans under G&K not form any attachments to doll. Some of dolls do have names before they became part of G&K (most of the dolls in G&K are civillian dolls).
@@SeishinTekukutsu That didn't work out as intended for the Commander, then, did it? lol It's a little inconsistent, tho, since dolls like UMP 45 and UMP 9, AK-12 and AN-94 are not part of G&K and wouldn't be subject to Kyuger's naming rules, but Yuzhong probably had the idea to anthropomorphize guns as cute anime girls first and came up with an in-world justification much later, and then ended up having gun manufacturers take notice even later after that.
@@originaldarkwater there is actual lore behind it actually, The T-Dolls originally supposed to look like Terminators but due to controversy from the URNC Kyruger thought of the idea to make these terminators to have human likeliness.
Totally agree with your conclusion. Gfl2 is a masterpiece in the form that it has done everything so well, nothing stick out like a sore thumb in the experience. Also, one thing I need to mention is the optimization. The game with all its high quality graphics and models still loads so fast and smooth that it makes me question what has Nikke been doing to their game's optimization with so much loading just for some low-poly models and l2d images XD
Not mentioned in the video is how well the game is optimized! I can't remember the last time I played a game that would boot up in ~10 seconds on my phone! Here's hoping that Mica can sort out the release schedule and implement some of the later QoL updates sooner because I feel like GFL2 can go the distance.
Nice GFL2 review! this series is incredible I'm happy players are enjoying it and glad there's space for it in the gacha community for this game can thrive in its own niche. With the official ending of GFL1 (coincidently the same month as global release of Exilium) I expect them to focus even more on GFL2, as we already have been teased on some amazing new features they've been working on.
Gotta say, this game is really generous. Coming from Genshin to Nikke to WuWa, and now to this game (with 3.5 years of GFL1).. the amount of free stuff they're giving out is astounding.
During the 11:30 to 13:40 section GFL 1's system is where a huge amount of that good faith came from. (comment on pacing after) To explain how pulling works: You have 4 universal resources spent for 90% of all aspects of play, and then the specific summon ticket, you can input certain amounts to influence which units you can get, including completely removing certain unit types from the pool. There is no time limited banner for when a pullable unit is available, once they are there, they are there forever. Oh, and unlike Genshin or older FGO, equipment is in it's own separate thing entirely. For both the ticket and normal resources you can get like 20 pulls in a day not from normal daily tasks, but from "logistics" which are literally 1 click to tell some of your units to get you resources, in addition to the roughly 5 pulls worth of daily rewards. Mica has already learned how to do fairly healthy pacing with differing track records from GFL 1 with EN and JP getting pretty balanced rates of catch up to extra resources, poor KR... "More puzzle solveable content" They will, and you'll wish they hadn't... (except for if they do something like GFL 1 rank maps, those are great.) "Vsena looks like she's always scheming" If that's Stechkin... that's because she is. "feels like a passion project" That's because it very much is at the end of the day, while King Chong (Yuzhong) and co (the rest of Mica Team) are still human, he and they very much have a story the want to tell and world they want to share.
15:00 More puzzle solvable contents!? In the first game, there're lots of long/hard/Trial and Error Puzzles in story event missions that it's still a PTSD to old GFL players. Along with difficulty spike at the time, causing lots of players to either using guides or quit entirely. If they do puzzles again, I can only hope they are approaching this very carefully. And at least in GFL2, they also have Rewind system, so I didn't have to start over if I misclick/failed the puzzles half-way.
In CN server, they do have puzzle events with several stages where instead of controlling dolls, you control enemy units to utilize their unique skills. Honestly, some of these stages get quite challenging, but they're interesting and give currency as rewards.
There is a feature that auto locks the stats of the attachment based on your preference in the game so when the stats are aligned with the ones that you preferred the game auto locks it for you. You can see it on the Storage - Attachments and there is a button below that lets you choose your preferred stats.
Funny thing about PVP is, they accidentally did a "Kojima" there Due to how convoluted the story and lore is, MICA CEO, YuZhong, is sometime called China Kojima or something ("大陆秀夫" , where Kojima name is “小岛秀夫”). And Kojima, in MGSV, hide a secret ending where if every players in a server managed to disarm all the nuclear, it will play this ending as a token of unite between all players toward world peace, even thou it is virtual And the same goes with Kojima next game, Death Stranding, where there is no PVP and the game design smartly push players to help each others, willing or not, to achieve the same goal And YuZhong somehow manage to do the same thing with his gacha game, well played
I've been playing GFL2 for about three days now, and I can't remember the last time a gacha made me want to just keep playing. Yeah, I'm struggling with some of the hard mode stages of the event, but I think I just need to figure out which of my T-Dolls work best together and how to build a proper team. Doesn't really bode well for "Waifu over Meta," but maybe I'm too early on and don't know enough to understand how to use any T Doll for any mission (if M1887 ever gets added, you'd best believe I'd add her to my team regardless of what I'm up against). It all honestly makes me wish I'd given the original Girls Frontline a more fair chance, but for as little time as I played, I really hope to see M14 and M1 Garand make a return. They were my first two favorites back then, and I'd be overjoyed to see them again.
keep in mind that this is how generous they are despite their absolutely tumultuous launch in CN lol. I can only see the experience going up from here thanks to how well global launch is doing
As a PC Gamer, i can only agree. Rarely have a I seen a game so well rounded. I enjoy it very much. I even played all my missions manually first time. After rushing all the content, i now play the campaign again focusing on its story. 😂
GFL2 is the 2nd hoyo gacha model I pick up after ZZZ, but in the span of 6 days I've gotten: - Peritya V1 from beginner banner alone - Sabrina - Mosin - Suomi V1 - Suomi smg - Ullrid - Peritya's SSR MG - Golden Melody (QJ's SSR AR) for Sharky from trade in. Only QJ and Tololo left. All these while not even rushing too hard and never pushing while underleveled (lv31 atm). Ended up buying the $10 voyage battlepass and gonna pick up the $5 month subscription as well soon. Not sure I'm gonna bother with costumes atm cause I actually prefer the default tacticool aspects (I know Arknights probably got the best tacticool aesthetic in the gacha scene, but it's a chibi tower defense and I personally can't appreciate the designs fully, so GFL2 is a great middleground) they kept with the default look over Snowbreak's. In comparison, WuWa is a complete drought for me since Jinhsi & her weapon and I have always been pushed to pity every damn time lmao. Pushed to pity with Changli, Had to skip zhezhi & XLY weapon cause I couldnt even get enough astrites for pity from game content at the time, lost 5050 on Shorekeeper, and I got Camellya & her Weapon but both on pity as well. Now I don't even have enough to pull Carlotta to pity, and now I'm doubting how much I could even get from 100%ing Rinascita at this point.
It's not really fair to compare the two based on your subjective experience of the gacha. It's also unfair to compare an open world action game with an instance-based strategy game when one clearly costs more to develop than the other. You realize that luck comes and goes and that you just got lucky in GFL2 and unlucky in WuWa, right? GFL2 also has a 50/50 mechanic, the base rates are actually worse than in WuWa, and the weapon banner isn't even guaranteed though the pity is a bit lower. Yes, despite this, WuWa probably gives less pull currency than GFL2 does, but that shouldn't be surprising considering it's an open world game and it costs more to add new areas consistently.
@@eureka5635 you missed my point, which was that WuWa likely cost more to develop than GFL2. I already explained this in my first comment. That's what makes it an unfair comparison, not the genre itself. It also doesn't make sense to compare gacha systems based on your luck rather than objective facts like the rates, pity, dupe reliance, and so on. If you had spent just 5 minutes reading my comment properly, I wouldn't need to re-explain myself.
GFL2 is incredibly solid and well polished right now. I think this game will continue to do well at least on global unless they mess up something. I'll definitely continue playing the shit out of it
The Chinese server of GFL 1 has recently finished the story, something that's quite rare for a gacha game. However, it's not EoS yet. The game will enter a hiatus period as the devs searching for a new server provider.
Wasn't it because the contract from the Publisher expired right they want to find another provider. Side stories will still happened if I remember correctly.
I love GFL2 so far. I've played plenty gachas so far, and this feels like one of the best to invest my time in. The open world gachas are starting to feel excessive lately, and playing this game feels like a breath of fresh air comparatively. It reminds of the time Arknights came out. I also like how there aren't a ton of units to get (I'm only missing 4 or something, while being f2p), doing dailies is effortless, and if I want to play more, there are plenty of game modes. The only thing that prevents this game from being a perfect one imo, is the inclusion of a pvp system, and a guild system down the line. I really didn't want to have to interact with anyone else, but maybe it's just me. I mainly play gacha games for a solo and stress free experience. If I wanted a social game, there are plenty of those around- which I have played a bunch of in the past, and I still play even if rarely nowadays.
As a Love and Hope enjoyer, i am glad you enjoy GFL2 very much. cuz i play Reverse Collapse, i didn't like using Auto even on easy stage. Also, in GFL 1 T-Doll is named after Gun, so Suomi is Suomi like how OTs-14 is Groza (i like seeing T-Doll as Robot like Terminator rather than Android).
I hope they will add a glossary since many of the terms are confusing for first time players! as a Veteran GFL, i am surprised they did not add those since their 2 previous titles before this game had those to make the story more digestable to newcomers!
After playing Nikke, other games 5 star rates feel small, but I still feel like the GF2 pity system, rates and freebies are much better than many games
Im having a blast with the game, very similar to *early* snowbreak.. When snowbreak changed around just before anversity, and no longer did combatant gun girls themes and altering their characters physciallu and personalty because they thought thats the only way people would like them, soi I started loosing that fun... GFL2 has brought back that fun with combatant girls with guns for me. Some of these cutscens are amazing, and set a great tone. Like an intruder Corhpine, or to the Boojum, or the commander almost getting squashed by a water tower and yeeted by nemsis. Some of them have some feirce fire fights :3. Im familar with X-com gameplay (even tho its not as hard/punishing as x-com) so im fine with that. I really endorse the designs these dolls have.. tactical giear, or cute/scifi outfits. Its totally what I like Ive already spent some money, Got me a Soumi M1 with her weapon. Shes great and super cute. Ive still got cotent to complete, but im making my way through it. Im already trying to learn stuff from GLF1. Nemesis has ot be my favourit atm, please let me be your tripod! But unfortuntly.. still no doll with ballastic shield to play >< Also, thanks for letting me know about the pvp. I might do that too.
Gfl2 is a masterpiece, i have pretty much cleared nearly all the available content right now and yet i'm far from bored, on the contrary i'm really interested in what direction the game is gonna take. Universe, characters (klukai 😭🙏), gameplay, challenge (some fights are really hard and a single mistake could make u fail), fun, if not for the few bugs i unfortunetaly experienced this game would get a well deserved 10.
I've been loving GFL2 so far. I'd say it's X-Com Lite, but I mean that more in a mechanics sense. Some of the fights in GFL2 do start to get pretty challenging after the mid-20s or so (and some of those hard mode bosses in the event are beastly...damn Creepy Doll!). Really fun characters, too. Cheeta's my favourite, not the best (or worst) character, but I lover her attitude and explosive candy gimmick.
What I want to come back from the first game is the token system, that way F2P can have a way to get the skins they like. It may take months, but its a way
Hoyo rate is halfof the story. The other half is the expected ressources you can hope to get within a time frame. Genshin rate wouldnt be so bad if each month you would be able to secure a pity for instance. For now GFL2 seems to be on the generous side despite the garbage rate because the event reward are actually solid but there also seems to be enough activity each weeks to stack up. It is too early to give a definitive answer but for now I think the game is definitly worth trying
I had so much fun playing GFL2 i just manually played the whole launch content instead of using the auto feature. Now i just have to do the tutorials and hard mode for lvl 35 commander. Im probly at my ending phase of the honeymoon xD.
I don't like that the stamina is capped at 180, but I guess that issue will solve itself with dorm levels. Still, annoying. I've overcapped few times already because I can't be bothered to keep tabs on the stamina 2-3 times a day.
Yeah I wish that the cap was raised by ~50% even if the rate is the same. I currently wake up at 6 AM to do most of my dailies in ~5-10 minutes and to dump my stamina and then log in again around 4-5 PM to dump my stamina and finish the rest of my dailies if there are any. It's not that big of a time commitment when it's all added up but it is inconvenient to have to log in at least twice a day.
@@leukos22 Max level dorm has 100% conversion rate on overcap and 100 capacity, so total of 280 stamina(180 base +100 dorm). But that will take ages to reach. I just wish they did like 240 or something.
I don't like this either, but it's at least better than some games which give you a stupidly low stamina cap that slowly increases as you level up - you're forced to play a lot initially because you level up a lot and don't want to waste the stamina.
Well, it's supposed that they'll put the characters in a different order, although I think the next one is Dayan, because of her Chinese New Year skin, although hey, if 416 comes, it'll be better for me.
Awsome analysis! i got Suomi with 1 dupe on her. As a f2p you advise trying to get more duopes? Also does her weapon is worth? thank u and good luck on the field =D
12:55 i've done 200+ pulls myself..lost 50-50 on suomi banner at 70+ only to get her at 60+ later, then got tololo on standard banner like within 10 pulls away from hard pity.. About 30 left on standard after tololo. Kinda rough ngl.
The Gfl devs have said they wont be following the same release timeline as the CN servers we don't know if well get new content or there just mixing up the order also you should play the first game or the real first game reverse collapse there both super good and the lore is good and f2p is basically what there designed for
I lost on suomi and her weapon then continues to get them both. Then after rolling on Ullrid, I won her and ger weapon on early pity each after rebuilding resources playing the game.
If you want to play Girls' Frontline 2 on PC with high quality graphics, your best bet is probably to use the PC client. (I suppose an emulator is still useful if you're trying to play multiple accounts or even games at the same time to save on farming time.)
"All-rounder gacha." Ye, that's pretty apt. To me who only cares about gameplay, it's the snowbreak of tactics genre. Pretty disappointed having experience with alchemist code and convallaria. Need to gimp myself via low level+story team only (groza, nem, krolik, colph) to get any challenge, but i get its only been a week and needs like 2 months b4 the hard stuff comes. Hardest stages so far were creepy doll hardmode from sojourners p1 and sextans 3-5 hardmode. The rest is autoslop.
*the majority of people can't even use the AoE explosion skills and forget their is a rewind button* *people can't read* Your severely undermining how much if a brain you have.
Gfl 2 and Hi3rd is kinda of Similar Start. They are both games. Which derived from there previous games. Gfl and GGZ/Houkai gauken 2. Gfl 2 is a sequel while Hi3rd started as a remake however change to do it's own thing. The only thing seperate on the two is. How they handle the previous games. While gfl is still active. Recently CN ended the story, which possibility make veterans players switching to gfl 2. However Houkai Gauken 2 is still kicking and not stopping in CN. While it's a good thing. But when there's bad update in hi3rd. They will immediately flock back to houkai gauken 2. Which ironically what they did after Hi3rd Part 2 fiasco. Side note. Jesus Christ. I got like 3 5 stars and I need to Pity them both how's your luck that fucking high. (2 pity for Limited Suomi, and 1 pity in Standard banner) (Excluding the Starter pulls)
snowbreak ruined me, now i see the old 50/50 and im like this sucks, looks at standard banner why are weapons and characters in the same banner? this sucks, also on standard why no targeted character or weapon? this sucks. i like to trying to get every character all these make it hard for me to obtain the characters i want
Dear lord, I don't know how you can play and enjoy the power-fantasy aspects of this game without paying. I play Nikke with a paid and f2p account and I enjoy them equally (more so on the f2p, which is filled with pilgrims -- that's rng for you. but for gfl2... given the prophetic year lead the cn server has, the fomo is real. i've been cc grinding that suomi banner like nothng else. still, i love the story, i love the art, the gameplay isn't as nice as xcom (no tentaculat -- a hugely wasted opportunity). anyway, nice review :D
i want to like this game, but the gameplay doesnt feels good to me. progressing story doesnt feel challenging and rewarding. it takes more time than im comfortable with. it feels like a chore to me already
Cool to see the perspective of someone who likes the game. I myself really wanted to like it, was excited for the launch and everything, but the fact that the game lets you auto it the very first minutes was a huge let down. At some point I wasn't even playing the game, just clicking buttons to go from battle to battle and listening to the same 1 combat voice line per character, and at some point I just got so mind numbingly bored and quit. Sure as you said the game does get harder, but pushing through ZZZ once to only finally enjoy the gameplay was already enough for me.
It doesn't feels like the author provides any kind of objective opinion on this game. Rather, it feels like it is subjective/perhaps a paid review. I disagree with the author in several points, and clearly, GFL2 is not a perfect gacha in all aspects, being far from it. I guess my opinion about this game will also be subjective, but still, I will share it. Let's take a look at the each point of the game that are supposed to be "perfect" in this gacha. 1. Ease. Game is not hard, sure. Though, I would say it's a bit overcomplicated in small aspects. Such as weapon attachments with different tags and different set bonuses, a lot of different supply missions, and a different kind of weekly quests. Feels like there's a bit too much of them. 2. Story. Pretty boring story that deserves a skip, honestly. Far from being perfect or being interesting. 3. Content. So far there's good amount of content for players that just started the game, but somewhere around lvl 32-36 you might find yourself with nothing to do. The quality of content itself (side-stories or the main campaign itself) is alright, but could be better. 4.Gameplay. For me it felt like a oversimplified version of XCOM, where the tactic element plays a much smaller role, compared to the stats of your characters/equipment/characters themselves. Some people will like this kind of gameplay, sure. However, I wasn't impressed. 5. Challenges. I am sure that the game will throw a lot of challenges/puzzles later on. I have no complains on that point. 6. And one more thing that I want to mention separatly, is gacha and banners. For me it felt like the game is quite brutal in regards to gacha. Sure, the game gives you a lot of rolls at the start, but does it really matter, if you cannot gain anything without rolling 100+ times? So far, reaching lvl 32, and completing Chapter 5 + event that is currently on, I received about 200 pulls total. From that, I received one SSR from Starter banner, that gurantees receiving SSR in 50 pulls, and Suomi from her own banner, in 60 pulls. 90 more pulls were used on Standard banner, and I received no SSR's from it, only a SSR weapon in 90 rolls. So 2 SSR characters, and one SSR weapon from 200 pulls. Feels really horrible for me. Not to mention that I don't quite understand where the author managed to find 328 pulls total in one week. If we will compare this gacha to a decent gacha-games, such as Limbus Company/Arknights for example, we can see how horrible it is. SSR chance in GFL2 is 0.6% compared to 3% in Limbus and 2% in Arknights. Not to mention that you can roll out a weapon, instead of a character, and this exactly what happened to me. TLDR: GFL2 is mediocre gacha, far from being the best in all aspects.
They main reason I barely play the first GFL was because it kept freezing. I'm a gun fanatic(especially HK) so it interests me in the gameplay. The only other gacha games I'm hooked on is DBZ Dokkan Battle and Azur Lane.
This my personal opinion, but I feel like they're going to the same path like Snowbreak, probably on the fanservice part, which I like it. I currently can't play this game, um, because of how big it is, but dang, just for the graphic and animation (and the girls), I wish I can someday.
I must admit that I am not invested in the story as I find the light novel style exposition too bothersome to go over. Still it is a game that offers so much enjoyment for free.
Now that you've looked at GFL2, I recommend you look at their non-gacha game Reverse Collapse: Codename Bakery. It will make it more than clear that this game is very much a passion project.

GFL2 being this popular in global is such an unprecedented feat, I don't think *anyone*, not even the devs, expected it, and I'm so excited to see where it goes from here
GFL1 is almost weird when it comes to gachas in how you pretty much dont pay for characters, you grind stages for a chance of getting them and use way more than plentiful materials to build them (you are more limited by timers than materials) i only ever bought 2 monthly premium currency things and those went to pay for expansion slots rather than pulls, during events even if you dont roll the event doll no worries, 500 medals from completing stages and you can just buy the doll, you can grind that out in a day if you focus on it
only real way to pay for pulls would be to buy materials (at absolutely horrible rates, never do this as materials will only be usable in construction for which no limited time dolls exist), ive heard that the actual place where you are meant to spend your money is the costume gacha which yeah, the tokens for that cant be farmed that fast
We stay for the PAIN. (i miss my wife. please come home sop I miss you.)
Only 2 characters are must pulls in GFL2, Suomi and Klukai, the rest will eventually get powercrept.
@@ZSleepingDragonZ Since springfield is the recent doll released in CN. Is she good? (what i mean is good on Suomi and klukay level ofc)
1:22 Hah! Deep Dive! get it guys!? Cause in Girls Frontline 1 They- *.45ACP*
Man dat shit was tragic. Rip 40
Real Im shocked despite the graphics top tier still able to play in my phone smoothly lol
Glad I'm not the only one who's thoroughly impressed by the game's optimization
I can run two instances of the game at max graphics 1080p on my pc. Game loads in seconds. It's incredible
our reward for all the code 3 in gfl1
Its all fine and dandy until creepy doll shows up and starts lagging unit movement.
GFL2 poeple when they discover the lore of M4 and Lunasia
Not mentioned in the video is how well the game is optimized! I can't remember the last time I played a game that would boot up in ~10 seconds on my phone!
Here's hoping that Mica can sort out the release schedule and implement some of the later QoL updates sooner because I feel like GFL2 can go the distance.
its kinda funny to remember how messed up GFL1 coding used to be lol. they really improved a lot.
This game goes from great to god-tier the moment you use D tier units and turn off auto. That or I'm just a waifu-masochist.
(comment on pacing after)
To explain how pulling works: You have 4 universal resources spent for 90% of all aspects of play, and then the specific summon ticket, you can input certain amounts to influence which units you can get, including completely removing certain unit types from the pool.
(except for if they do something like GFL 1 rank maps, those are great.)
"Vsena looks like she's always scheming" If that's Stechkin... that's because she is.
Funny thing about PVP is, they accidentally did a "Kojima" there
Due to how convoluted the story and lore is, MICA CEO, YuZhong, is sometime called China Kojima or something ("大陆秀夫" , where Kojima name is “小岛秀夫”). And Kojima, in MGSV, hide a secret ending where if every players in a server managed to disarm all the nuclear, it will play this ending as a token of unite between all players toward world peace, even thou it is virtual
And the same goes with Kojima next game, Death Stranding, where there is no PVP and the game design smartly push players to help each others, willing or not, to achieve the same goal
And YuZhong somehow manage to do the same thing with his gacha game, well played
They were my first two favorites back then, and I'd be overjoyed to see them again.
they wont accelerate the schedule but they will randomize which event you're gonna get, just like how did neural cloud.
I've started GFL2 recently and am having a blast, honestly, I might even try to get into the XCOM series again, as well as reading up on GFL1's story!
keep in mind that this is how generous they are despite their absolutely tumultuous launch in CN lol.
2:14 Dunno if Project Neural Cloud and Codename: Bakery would be the contender for that title
GFL2 is the 2nd hoyo gacha model I pick up after ZZZ, but in the span of 6 days I've gotten:
- Peritya V1 from beginner banner alone
- Sabrina
- Mosin
- Suomi V1
- Suomi smg
- Ullrid
- Peritya's SSR MG
- Golden Melody (QJ's SSR AR) for Sharky from trade in.
@@WadeWontson It is fair, saying that you can't compare two games of the same genre is a lazy argument and I'm tired of it.
@rubiepie yeah, that's pretty much it
Really cool Nikke side content gameplay right there hahaha
Actually Suomi is Ceia
I hope they will add a glossary since many of the terms are confusing for first time players! as a Veteran GFL, i am surprised they did not add those since their 2 previous titles before this game had those to make the story more digestable to newcomers!
AAAAAAH THE SMT IV APOCALYPSE OST!! Good choice
the Reese's cup analogy made me hungry
Never I have ever played a Gacha that has gifted me all 3 top tier characters and the Sig Support weapon in one week!
Its totally what I like
Ive already spent some money, Got me a Soumi M1 with her weapon. Shes great and super cute. Ive still got cotent to complete, but im making my way through it. Im already trying to learn stuff from GLF1.
Nemesis has ot be my favourit atm, please let me be your tripod! But unfortuntly.. still no doll with ballastic shield to play ><
Also, thanks for letting me know about the pvp. I might do that too.
Gotta say in terms of pleasing everyone, it goes to GFL2 or Nikke. They both do a great job at this.
Having a lot of fun in this game so far, got 6 5stars already, and a 5star weapon.
I just got to the challenging contentn,m and yeah its enjoying!
My Colphne would like a word with you. Big warning: she's narrowed her eyes.
She's currently my third strongest T-Doll.
What I want to come back from the first game is the token system, that way F2P can have a way to get the skins they like. It may take months, but its a way
Pvp - people making things easier is a tradition all the way back in Kancolle!
Im probly at my ending phase of the honeymoon xD.
mika team is insanely generous
14:52 based
I love tactics games and tried to like GFL2 but then something about it couldnt hook me. Game looks gorgeous though and glad it seems to be thriving.
Cover wizardry variants daphne! It's what I played while waiting for GFL2.
subbed! what are your favourite gachas with excessive fan service?
Well, it's supposed that they'll put the characters in a different order, although I think the next one is Dayan, because of her Chinese New Year skin, although hey, if 416 comes, it'll be better for me.
The pvp system is certainly new😅, I like it
Awsome analysis! i got Suomi with 1 dupe on her.
I'm not sure what I'm missing to get extra standard pulls. 13:26 Seeing how you are at 152 pulls in the standard banner, while I'm at 121 pulls.
Yeah.. Nonpon~
SAO MD was my all rounder game. I wish it came back
If you want to play Girls' Frontline 2 on PC with high quality graphics, your best bet is probably to use the PC client.
*the majority of people can't even use the AoE explosion skills and forget their is a rewind button*
*people can't read*

still waiting on that steam launch..
Ha~ Deep Dive 😢. 40 & 45
Yeah, coin flip was the worst part.Game play was the best part tho

Only thing that could be better is the music
wait what there was a game before princess connect re dive?
(2 pity for Limited Suomi, and 1 pity in Standard banner)
(Excluding the Starter pulls)
snowbreak ruined me, now i see the old 50/50 and im like this sucks, looks at standard banner why are weapons and characters in the same banner? this sucks, also on standard why no targeted character or weapon? this sucks. i like to trying to get every character all these make it hard for me to obtain the characters i want
Snowbreak new trailer is release few day ago, do you plan to do reaction!?
Game has very few mechanics
Early game is so easy autoplay can bum rush through everything
Story is mostly technobable nothing
Dear lord, I don't know how you can play and enjoy the power-fantasy aspects of this game without paying. I play Nikke with a paid and f2p account and I enjoy them equally (more so on the f2p, which is filled with pilgrims -- that's rng for you. but for gfl2... given the prophetic year lead the cn server has, the fomo is real. i've been cc grinding that suomi banner like nothng else. still, i love the story, i love the art, the gameplay isn't as nice as xcom (no tentaculat -- a hugely wasted opportunity). anyway, nice review :D
Peak Assessment is a bit too long (especially since it's a reccuring content.) I hope we can skip the ones we have already 3-starred next week.
gfl2 is purely for casuals, at least on global so far
i want to like this game, but the gameplay doesnt feels good to me. progressing story doesnt feel challenging and rewarding. it takes more time than im comfortable with. it feels like a chore to me already
FIRST :)
Could you review Limbus Company
Why did you play GFL2 using Emulator when GFL2 got a PC version?
the size are bigger in official PC version. plus emulator is easy way to play mobile game on PC with mobile storage size.
It has flaws, geez. Like the dorm is locked behind a paywall. Most of those pulls you talk about are std banner.
lol gfl crash on my LDPlayer
ADD DELISLE TO GFL PLSSSSSSSS
They main reason I barely play the first GFL was because it kept freezing. I'm a gun fanatic(especially HK) so it interests me in the gameplay.
The only other gacha games I'm hooked on is DBZ Dokkan Battle and Azur Lane.
This my personal opinion, but I feel like they're going to the same path like Snowbreak, probably on the fanservice part, which I like it. I currently can't play this game, um, because of how big it is, but dang, just for the graphic and animation (and the girls), I wish I can someday.
11:32 bro said nikkai but not jenshin 💀💀
🤮🤮🤮
I must admit that I am not invested in the story as I find the light novel style exposition too bothersome to go over. Still it is a game that offers so much enjoyment for free.
Are people capable of just talking about a game they enjoy without entering this pretentious redditor "video essay" style of video?
