As an english player on darkwinter I haven't had many problems, launch seemed really good and the rewards and codes were really nice. However hearing about whats happening to KR and so many QoL features that they could have had global launch with is kinda weird, usually it's in the players best interests that global launches at the best it can be with all the non story related QoL features that it could have launched with, many other gacha have been doing this (like having pity brought down ect) it's a shame cause I love the GFL universe and seeing it constantly have issues happening is sad, Hopefully they can recover but there's some insane gacha's coming out right soon that'll draw away a ton of players. I know mica team is no stranger to that situation but I pray they can keep improving there game with the resources they have and end with a game they are satisfied with and love like the 1st GFL.
The thing is, codes are the same on both publishers game. I know it. IF you are live in the USA, you not met a problem, because you use the publisher of your region. IF you live in the UK, and use the Darkwinter PC version, I recommend you to download it to your phone and realize that you can't because you'll download the Haoplay version. I played 2 account on Darkwinter version PC and re-started on the Haoplay within 1.5 week because this chaos. And the QoL features are literally 100% the same and the codes are the same, everything are the same. And the Koreans play the Hao version of the game, which is released in my country (Europe) too, while the lower ratings are on the Darkwinter edition, which is all the red countries at 5:04 If your country is blue, you will struggle when you want to continue your PC gameplay on your phone. The Korean issues are obviously all translation issues, which is bad enough itself.
Ullrid V1 was incorrenctly translated to EN as well as it said the 30% buff stacked. Translation issues will always be a huge issue when you pay for the items.
I wrote many tickets about this on Haoplay, which had this translation issue too. I thought it was ridiculous that people pay to pull a copy of Ullrid for an effect they thought would work, then it was changed AFTER money has been spent to obtain it. And the compensation for it was... 2 tickets. It also doesn't make sense that the 30% buff doesn't stack, considering how weak Ullrid is when compared to other characters AND upcoming characters.
Kinda wish I'd known about said QoL feature before I blew all of my Standard Access tickets. Still, I haven't really pulled enough standard to warrant getting upset, so I'll probably just wait until February to pull more.
Korean text is always the worst no matter what the game is... Even their newest own game called rememento have a terrible skill and sign equipment description. Example : there is equipment sign "increases dmg for every enemies 6%" but the description is "increase dmg for every character death, teammates or enemies 6%" 1st glance to the description, it is a shit sign equipment not worth but if u equip it, it was overpowered sign equipment and a must pull.. Blue archive, horizon walker and resonance having worst text descriptions than this game
@nanotsuki nope no idea, maybe the language is too hard ?? Or the the one who input it just doesn't care ? No one knows... it is a common thing on korean game since the mmorpg era
3:38 "No solid evidence"- That's how western people interpret east asian cultural things. First of all, in archive or something, she express deep cocern and sympathy toward that guy. I don't know how western people mindset about it, but for east that's already a red flag. But if you want to say, she is just kind. Fine, put is aside. The most concrete evidence is the talisman that guy gifted to her. Every east asian person with some romantic brain cell would understand what this guy mean to express. And the fact Daiyan accept the talisman and wear it also shows her answer. Daiyan (Type 95) was modeled as a typical "chinese" waifu, which is very traditional in feeling expression. Love don't need to be say out loud. Not mentioning this game was made by Chinese, with Chinese mindset in the plot, so what happened are enough "solid" to conclude. You can ask any east asian, if a girl accept such symbolic talisman and wear it, what does that mean.
honestly the problem for me is having two publishers because later on when guild content etc comes to the game you won’t be able to be in the same guild as your friends if you’re unlucky with your publisher
WTF are you talking about?? Have you been on Reddit the F2P community in GFL2 page downvotes any P2W comments good or bad, F2P is the loud majority in the English version
I wasnt aware of the coming 50/50 on standard, for my first 2 days. So I had gone ahead and hit pity once before realizing I should be saving for higher rates on who I would want. But the catch is; I pulled Tololo on my standard pity, AND on my starter banner as well. Initially, I was slightly disappointed as I did not, at the time, have the information about the "key mods", but now I must just laugh, and enjoy my dumb-luck. Also, thanks for explaining what all that drama was actually about. I made the mistake of wandering into a reddit thread about it, but didn't understand the thesis, and ran away as soon as I started seeing "NTR" pop up in every comment, as I have never heard a rational or measured comment that includes those three letters. It is nice to at least understand what I need to watch out for, so I don't end up in a guild full of people hugging Nemisis body-pillows.
Isn't Haoplay stuck mostly in not as income rich regions? At least from what I remember, South America, SEA, the more eastern side of Europe and so forth average on the lower end of income. The buying power just isn't there.
@@andrehashimoto8056 I don't think so, I'm from SEA and my serve is darkwinter. haoplay servers are limited and I still don't even know why they divide it into 2 like that.
At the end of the day its just a game. The NTR drama is a moot point the game has made a huge splash in the worldwide gacha scene and made its money and then some.
So basically: 1. Poor skill translation for dolls' kits resulted in people getting a different product from what was shown 2. Krolik's skin was advertised as having more effects than it did, again resulting in people getting a different product from what was shown 3. The compensation given was 2 pulls, which is pathetic compared to what CN got for a change that didn't even involve money or pulls. I'm not surprised the koreans aren't happy, it feels like a slap in the face to be compensated with only 2 pulls when CN got more for less. There's already a sentiment in gacha communities that most gacha games always give CN preferential treatment (which isn't a baseless accusation, there are examples of this happening), so this really doesn't look good to non-CN players like us. We don't know if the blame lies with Haoplay or MICA themselves, but ultimately MICA will suffer so hopefully they do better to compensate affected players. And please MICA, have better quality control when it comes to translation and localization, it would be a shame for an enjoyable game to tank in a region because of issues like this. Not sure what's with the poor ratings in Darkwinter though, that's unexpected.
basically the entire video is they fucked up and this guy is trying to sweep for the devs lmao. No NTR shit, NO mistranslations when you're selling a product simple as
Wouldnt really say less, chinese one was about game strategic direction, it is what makes people to stay or drop the game. But I also can say, that both were really stingy. Fair decision in korean case would be to give away amounts of tickets needed in average to pull a copy for accounts who got girls because of mistranslation and 10 tickets for the rest. FGO was giving away account specific compensation this summer for those who pulled units based on actual gameplay update which was further improved later.
@@syzler8664 I can't comment on the NTR, never seen CN's story but in my opinion the devs should've seen it coming and done something different instead. They're chinese devs, they're familiar with their culture and should know how deranged some players can be. As for mistranslation, there's no excuse. If you make a mistake, you're responsible for adequately compensating your players. I hope they do the right thing.
@@amai2307 I agree that account-specific compensation should've been done here, especially when the actual skills are worse than the translated text would imply. It's hard work tracing each account's pull history when there are potentially thousands of accounts, but it's also your responsibility to give fair compensation. Do the right thing and people will praise you for it, the situation can still be turned around for the better.
@@WadeWontson it isnt hard work, dont need to see pulls just check if account has a unit right now and how many dupes were used on it, also no need to do it manually, simple "if" condition will do it. With pity and known drop rate it is easy to calculate average pulls needed per character obtained.
=_= even i don’t have to know what is happening (all of this) the game is good and i’ll keep playing and pay for it. 😂 good to know tho but its like… if you not enjoying the game itself just delete it and read some drama instead.
What I realised over time is no matter what your native language is, the english version will always have less mistranslation than other version. The only exception of that rule I found so far is Aether Gazer where there doesn't seem to be much mistranslation error on non EN version. They did delay the game for one year to round the edge on many things including translation. Honestly a shame to see a gacha with great potential be ruined because of poor translation
@@Tiasung that might just be the translators doing a bad job, whether on purpose or not. Since English is used more globally, I can see how it could have less issues. Would be interesting to see how many mistranslation errors pop up in a professional setting. Think translating contracts between countries where you can be open to liability if something was translated wrong. Assuming it is all done perfectly, I wonder which is faster and easier to translate.
Again with the fake news about "NTR". I don't know the grifter who started spreading this BS, but the actual problem was a lead writer, mostly ignorant about the game lore, that was producing essentially her own self-insert fanfiction that broke canon. It was a F* up so bad that they are now rewriting everything she she did and rerunning said events with the correct story (this is why we now have different event order compared to CN). A few mistranslated lines is nothing compared to that.
Would appreciate some source links. Because there's been plenty of CN translations from Bilibili that I've seen from other YT videos saying it was about the NTR thing. Which is it?
@@xaero07vsxaero69 probably can't post links here, but as far as I've read, the major problem about the NTR situation was that it was with a terrorist. Daiyan is the national gun for the Chinese military and armed police, so you could see it not going over well when very symbol of their country is being very buddy buddy with a terrorist, going so far as to preventing him from getting reported. While I don't know China's history with terrorism, I would expect an absolute shitstorm if M4A1 was helping out Osama Bin Laden for example. Can probably find a writeup if you google "Daiyan terrorist gfl2". There seems to be quite a lot of other various issues and gaffes, including mockery of the players having feelings towards dolls, Daiyan's skin PV had her holding the completely wrong gun, community managers saying inappropriate things in response to player feedback, etc. While the Daiyan thing was pretty big, the whole launch was littered with problems, not just Daiyan. I also want to note that rumor mill tends to amplify and oversimplify the actual stories involved. Even translations won't be able to tell the whole story, so it's best not to judge CN on what you see online. Sure, there's probably some overreactions involved, but it's also clear that there were some mistakes on Mica's part as well. How much of the CN reactions were justified is going to be super contextual and isn't something that's going to be understandable with a huge language barrier in the way, especially when we're getting secondhand (or really tenth/hundredth-hand) tellings of the situation.
Still NTR. Whether real or perceived it ruined the game's potential. It doesnt help Snowbreak helped push this idea further by advertising itself as a game where the girls will never betray you.
I pulled on standard and I don't really care if I have the most OP waifus or not. The content which is available is so easy, that I am plowing through it even with subpar, mixed team of my favorites. That's one of the reasons why rerolling doesn't make any sense if you aren't starting on first minute and want to compete for first spot in the arena and being a leviathan each month.
GRL2 launch in Thai language also have TERRIBLE "AI level translation" in story, item, skill description and everything in between. Thai language already complex because of Thai has our wording, context, politeness(or unpoliteness) scale of sentences. these "AI translate text" seem out of places in EVERY story and cutscene. that bother me so much I have to change game's language to English.
@@kosmosXcannon As far as I can tell, some stuffs are indeed goofy and gives the ai machine translation vibes like how Groza’s Perfect Cover description said “An exceptional leader provides perfect cover for every action of their teammates.” TH translation was roughly something like “An exceptional captain of the system drives every management with covers.” Might sound reasonable but even in TH the grammar seems a bit off and also contains misspelling where it lacked 1 “ก” alphabet as in the word “ทุกการจัดการ” in-game it was “ทุการจัดการ“. The other issue would be how words are usually cut at the end of the line and separated to new line like, how do I explain this, Let’s say I want to type “Apple” but I could only fit “App” in the first line so I typed “App” and then I hit enter to type “le” in the new line. However, mistranslations mostly occur in trivial elements of the game such as skill flavor texts or as the person above mentioned, “ภาษาไทย” or Thai language option in settings is still written as “ภาษาไท“ which is trivial but still kinda odd. Luckily it’s not ”พาสาไท“ or it would be much worse lol. I would say this issue is just minor inconveniences that doesn’t affect gameplay that much but would be nice to have proper translation. But a good game should make proper translations or at least plan to fix languages they put in options by default tho, but yeah the game is still new so let’s just take time and see how it will go.
A prompt correction and two pulls is actually above average as far as gacha devs go. Hoyo has left their new limited 5*s bugged for several versions and often doesn't give any compensation for translation or other errors. If Hoyo gave out 1 pull per translation bug then I'd be rocking e6s instead of e0s. Wait until you see the translation errors that Korean devs make translating their games into other languages. Some of them barely beat MTL.
Even if what you say is true (I wouldn't be surprised, Hoyoverse doesn't care about their players much), that shouldn't be the standard we hold gachas to. Why not set high standards to be the benchmark instead of low standards? Gachas are already predatory as hell and really profitable, we should be pushing for improvements instead of accepting bad responses from developers. It's good that MICA (or Haoplay, idk who's responsible) did something at least, but the compensation is still woefully inadequate compared to the amount some players spent.
5:07 thats one is simple - look at the all the red ones ? most are anti CCP. yes , i know, i am draging politics IRL here. but that is most obvious reasson for me. The Lithuania gave that away tbh. because out of 3 baltic countries, she is rabidly anti ccp. As is Philipines , India and many many more.
It was blatant false advertising, but they just closed my ticket without resolving or promising to do anything about it.
about the selector on standard banner i heard u can still lost the 50:50? the devs that banned players for using this include the info for those who got their prefered character that they select but there are also some that didnt get the one that they select means u can still loose on a 50:50 so for me i dont care if i use my standard banner now since i know i can enjoy now and later on 2025 i will be very busy that i dont know if i can touch my game again.
1:48 Dunno man. GF was never about Waifus thing like Snowbreak. The Story focus on other thing. There are some element like ring. But the game was never about that.. Like for most time in the game. The only time the Story despite the SKK in a way like Snowbreak does. Is in a skin of UMP45 aka Leva in GF2. It was an exclusive skin for people that buy a jacket. And in the dialogue of the skin. SKK talk about buying pair of match jackets like thing that couples do in anime. Every dolls also has some sugestives dialogues. Like hk416 "I'm all you need". Stuff like ring are not "canon". I get why China was angry and impart it make sense. what didn't make sense is what they did with dolls having "aventures". Or Ignoring what happens in the first game... Or remember you like you where nothing.
Yeah, I don't know how the story was in CN but I've heard that it wasn't the best. We know that CN blew it out of proportion, but there has to be some valid criticism under all that drama. The other thing that confuses me is how could MICA not know their audience? They're a chinese developer, surely they know that a doll having any kind of relationship with a man, romantic or not, will start NTR allegations. While it's wrong of CN to jump to conclusions in such a deranged way of thinking, MICA really should've known better. Because of the NTR incident, Korean whales now feel even more cheated. Their compensation is shit compared to what CN got for a story problem, which is far less significant.
All of this is because the majority of these gatcha companies can't be bothered to have unified versions. They have to have their clearly favored and ahead of everyone else homeland version. It's actually more work to be maintaining separate versions like this, and nothing good ever comes of it.
This game is far better coz it's only had 1 year of gap to it's China server to Global server😁..., compared to Fate Grand Order which has 2 years of gap to it's Japan server to Global server 😳. Where I played both by the way 😅😅😅
Any complaints about the rate up feature is dumb because its straightup useless. If you are a collector, obv u dont use up the selector at 260 until u r only missing 1. Until then, u have a pretty high chance of not getting dupes. Couple in the 15 frags/month from boss shop and its clear the std bann is being overhyped. Wrong/unclear skill translations/desc does suck. It happens seemingly pretty often in convallaria lmao. However, its not as bad in soc cuz they dont have a genshin banner system. Hoyos system promotes fewer gameplay options for the player by limiting the pool of characters (2-3/patch). Fewer options allows for meta to have a higher weight, further increased by the inability to farm shards for fortification. This is baffling for a trpg where preferably u want to have diverse strats for tackling any stg (like arknights). Soc and alch code not only let u farm shards, but they release chars/2wks, so i can rest assured, no matter who i get, even if the skill is a bit botched from how i thought it would work, it is alleviated by the plethora of options i have with other chars. (Soc/ac had like 60 chars on release, gfl2 like 20 lol). My bad, done advertising
I wouldnt necessarily blame hoyo for this. In fact, i support them for the same reason i support seasun: their story is just wild. Hoyo has innovated the gacha market twice, once with hi3 (look at how pgr, aether gazer, even snowbreak, etc all have the same game modes and similar gearing systems, at least at launch) and second with genshin. The blame lies with others that want to copy that success without knowing how it affects their own product. Hoyo is the gun and the others r the ppl. U wouldnt blame the weapon for the murder, but a lot of ppl do.
Them having to get rid of that male character and apologize for having him was hilarious. I always thought stuff like that was just a joke, but people really take offense to certain male characters in these games.
Man reacting like that from another dude being in the game 😂. Don’t get me wrong there’s a few I like a lot so far, but I ain’t gonna react like that if there was another dude. Main thing that’d tick me off is that small of a compensation from the mistranslation. Btw 3 main characters like atm are peritya, Suomi, and Sabrina
I'm willing to bet most of people in china trolling and review bombing never actually played GF1. It's a really old game and was not popular for years. Posters trying to prove NTR after Raymond's exclusion were pointing to legacy character npc from the first game having no idea who he is. It has some clout as one if the first successful chinese mobile games, and a lot of past dev drama, broken relationships with other studios and some developers leaving to make their own games, so all the more fuel for tribalism.
The NTR thing was, from what I even got from brief talks of the writting, being a combo of a Male NPC (Raymond) having a necessary degree of presence through that event, plus how the writting seemingly made ZERO MENTIONS of SKK (Player) through it all. While likely a Nothingburguer, we have Snowbreak's previous Event (Fritia Turbo's one) and how Effed up that Story was before the Lead Writter put weeks of overtime to get a rewrite done. People should also understand that even in KR and Mainland Taiwan, Femiyatzeehs are also present, and at least the KR ones are on levels of unhinged to make a Litigious Ahole Karen from the West cry and cower in fear, those whackos are THAT unhinged. Snowbreak is already a tale in and of itself about these problems about cattering to a Male ML audience, both the violent outbursts from them as well as the clear fact ML (Like 9000% of all Male centric hobbies) is under perpetual siege by all the most BS petty evil groups, all eager to destroy it. GFL2 tbh is a "F2P until provej worth some money" for me. The lead Heroine, Groza, is still a tad too weak as a MC compared to GFL1's M4A1 saga, or any of the later deuteragonists (Ange, DEFY, K and J....)
@@gogetters6639 well if the fame dont have married system like fate or hoyo game. It is funny. Do u consider people who in gfl 1 marry daiyan and now in gfl 2 daiyan more close with other MR Raymond / mr thundercock ? Daiyan even not talk about MC. That must be break their heart
Thank fking good i ended choosing darkwinter, my region got haoplay but i made my acc for darkwinter, as for the mistranslation common sense tells you that didnt make any sense that suomi would be able to use her ultimate every turn, that would make almost any team close to immortal... . Anyway, if something similar ends happening with the JP version maybe Haoplay is the one that will go EOS first ☠
To be fair this toxicity also helps to maintain the tropes and standards that we love in anime games. Kinda like how they freak out at idol groups. Without them idols wouldn't have the same feel due to constantly being criticized by a rabid fanbase. For example if they pivot to a mostly Western audience then certain stuff will change over time. Hence Pokemon Scarlet/Violet being clearly directed toward the West and not caring about backlash in the East due to how much bigger the Western audience is.
Do you really want them to be like the west where franchise dies because they decide to end beloved character in the most unspeakable ways just because "We don't like gamers" or ruin the whole thing with nonsense that doesn't even fit the Lore?
I rated low. Cause the game "is" a sequel to GFL1. Expecting global new players, to know characters you know nothing about or ever met before. So it feels very off every time they start talking making me zone out as they yap. They should have at least included some introduction of these Characters "flashbacks" of events in GFL1 for newer players. So we feel like "ohh! So she a friendly" instead of this "surprise reveal" of someone you don't know. Also the Standard banner scam. The Dev should have apply it on Global right on launch, which is scummy move. Since hacker players could easily turn it on, why can't Dev turn it on now. Sounds a lot like a excuse, regardless of their actually intention. First impression matter and the hackers did a number on the Dev presentation making them look in a negative light. Third, in-game mechanics for example. Support action wasted, enemy has 0 hp yet allies still proc there support action on the "Dead" enemy. Wasting a support action that could have been used on a living enemy. I'm surprise they haven't fixed similar issues. Having support action proc first before having the main shooter proc there debuff ability first "Defense down".
I agree with the min ority, but I hope the devs don’t get too stressed over it. while some things may be unfair, I can tell they’re trying. I say just voice your opinio n, and let the devs make their actions as they see fit. I mean they have a whole different line of thought compared to the majority of players, and I don’t think they want it to be unfair for players. Anyway, they’re also adding guild content particularly early, so that might make the compensation and income more evened out. I haven’t done the math so I don’t know exactly but I think it may even put us above what cn gets by the time they get to guild content.
Was that the whole NTR situation? I thought this game was actual NTR and didn't bother to touch it lol. Now that I think about it, who TF is dumb enough to put NTR in a waifu gacha game. Big GFL 1 fan also.
@bobjohnson6946 If you thought that, congrats: you got Oneguyed and missed out on a good experience (since you are big GFL1 fan) No, it wasnt anywhere close to actual NTR, nevermind this being a NTR game.
Honestly, no file verification AND having things that affect gacha luck be client side rather than server side feels way to much of a screw up to not be bait to ban people. That is such a huge security flaw that I wouldn't be surprised if people got fired for it. Its baffling.
I don't think it was entirely client side, the server has to accept the selection of your standard banner target after all. But yea, never trust the client except when you have no choice.
@@snappie4180 Good Point. Did not think about that. And that makes me want to ask, if all of the logistics and framework are there for it to work, why is it not enabled now? Only thing my pessimistic brain can think of is its to get people who dont keep up with CN server to waste their pulls now. But I am probably biased since I fall into that category.
@@headshot22331 No you're right that's exactly why. Some people spent a lot of money on the standard banner now to try and get everyone. And later when option to rate up anything you want comes along, people will spend again because now they can guarantee their desired character. It really is just them trying to make as much money as possible.
@@headshot22331 There's probably some truth about making money this way. That said, just because something works doesn't mean it's production ready. There's usually still bugs and edge cases that need to be ironed out, which turns the last 10% of work into the bigger half of the work needed.
I'm a bit on the extremist side but a very different flavor to the CN players. I simply want cuter designs like they had in the first game. Romance would be nice too but when 3-4 characters got redesigned to be less cute that is just too much. And so I travel from video to video, forum to forum spreading the message that Nagant Revolver was cute and that I'm upset that she is no longer as cute.
@@LuccianoBartolini The new design is alright but you are missing what I'm saying lol. She had a complete body-shift. Originally she had the same size as M200 but now she is bigger than even Colphne. That is what I mean by having a cuter design. Like imagine if you tried to give M200 Nagant's new model size. "Less cute" in this context just means no longer fun-sized. If they wanted to use a new model she should have been a new character because now we won't get Nagant Revolver how she is supposed to look.
@@LuccianoBartolini This is really going over your head. Characters should remain consistent to their original design because if they aren't they might as well be new characters. Subjective opinion on what is or isn't cuter is beside the point. I'm simply using cute to refer to these smaller designs.
@@darken2417 Nagant is consistent with her original design, she still has the decor of a White Russian soldier as well as her signature gun. Easily recognizable
did you know certain korean adult gacga game said "its good decision to release global server financially" and then did apologize to korean player? korean player keep demanding, while global player just enjoying. (but yeah i am sure both player need more content) but for mica case, they need to go with wuwa approach.
yeah that why im saving, but to be honest.. the dev can do something like guaranteed for anyone pulling 160 times on standard banner. (with exclusive banner) maybe the pull currency is mailed personally so only the one affected can received. just for everyone!
Well As I who love GFL. this is very much intentional by the dev, (No matter you see it they want player to spend all voucher first). they only saying we Add later it because they already being spotted in the ACT.
Hydro team(Tololo, Springfield, and Sabrina) is the best dps team, while HK416(Klukai) is the best DpS unit. There is a difference between being the best because of a team and being the best just because of yourself.
I don't have any issues with the game except for the atrocious gacha system. I really like Soumi and heard she was meta, so I was planning to buy her skin. However, I couldn't even get her, not even after hitting pity. It took me about eight rerolls and days of boring gameplay, only to see people on social media pulling her left and right. That’s when I realized there’s no point in continuing. And why buy a skin for a character I can't even have? It’s easy to drop a game when you know there’s a better shooter game on the market, like Snowbreak or Nikke, And with Arknights: Endfield coming soon, there’s even less reason to stick around
If the gameplay is boring then why were you even playing it in the first place? Should have stick with the games that you like. I mean I don't like Nikke's gameplay so I don't play the game at all even though they are generous with their gacha unless you only care about gacha
@@RAJA_XYLO Like I said, I like the character Soumi and the dorm system as well as the character models very attractive specially for gooner players like me, so I thought I'd give it a try. Turns out the game is not for me. additionaly, of course, I would care about gacha. It's a core part of the game, and when a big part of the experience revolves around collecting characters and skins, it gets frustrating when the system is so punishing on pulls, specially when the gameplay is boring to grind. At least with games like Nikke, I won’t have to struggle as much with that.
Because of rerolling. There's no point to reroll in this game, if you just keep the 1st one and play normally you would have enough to guarantee her in 1 week. They gave out so many pulls initially that you can get her twice by now even if 50/50 failed both times, even if pity all the way. Some games are just better if you play instead of focusing on 1 pull.
fact they're doing a tololo banner instead of this QoL speaks volumes when all they need to do is translate and enable. i will not be touching the tololo banner.
Im saving for Diayan, just to spite the CN bros. Then I can watch the dorm events with Diayan and Raymond. Im enjoying the game, its a shame with all these problems showing up in korea.. I am too under the opinion that the standard banner is rgged against us. So Its ^ready to go^ but they want us to wait 3 months ? So not pull for 3 months ?. Thats a big disppiontment I guess. as someone whos pulled two weapons from the standard banner, 1 of them being kinda usless. I feel robbed
It was tad to pitiful whats happening in KR.. however i dont need to complain about that either as im enjoying globals somehow i already finished the even and the story and i have suomi and her weapon aswell as 16500 collapse coisn for the enxt gacha the content and events have enough content for me to grind and get up to 30k collapse coins so im hpapy with that and the battle pass was worth it too even on both free and premium.. in short i have no complaints and the sotry is well written too it may be true that right now the story is t as grand as gfl 1but i hope the issue is fix itll be very sad to see this game die so soon
It's a shame what happened to KR players, and stuff like this shouldn't happen But that has nothing to do with me, I have barely any complaints about the game so far and I'm enjoying the sh out GFL2 every day
@what are you talking about? korea has the 3rd lowest gender inequality in asia according to UNDP. the former korean president said he is an "feminist" president and got elected and got elected because of that. 55% of the top pharmacy schools in korea are woman's universitys. Oh and only men have 2 years of mandatory military service. I'm korean, and I'm not saying that being a woman in korea is easy. Both genders have different difficulties.
You can call it the "Master Love" genre, but lets be real, that's gacha as a whole. People lose their minds over romance in Genshin (Thoma was originally leaked, true or not, to be Ayaka's fiancé as one example that had the reddit on fire), FGO has had a few weirdo fans get mad over married servants, etc. Something is broken in players like this and it kills a part of the story telling when devs cater to it. Maybe in GFL its not a big deal, but other games, like lets use the elephant that is Genshin as an example. Game opens up to relative peace, no wars going on, yet there are only like 2-3 NPC relationships. That's beyond the suspension of belief when it comes to realism, times of peace are usually when romance pops off. Only a single playable character has had a relationship in the past and another who had feelings for another that was teased. Effectively, Genshin is afraid to hurt the headcanon of their players, and as a result are writing a bad world. That isn't to say Genshin doesn't have plenty of other story telling issues either. Now in GFL1 and 2, idk how much the story needs to have a canon girlfriend or romance in general, I'm brand new to the series with 2, having only read about 1 and the spinoffs. That said, and as you've said in the video, its clear their choice to cater to this mentally ill crowd has harmed them. Unintentionally I'd say, but still. TLDR: Self-inserting 90% of the time is cringe and just horrid story telling, plus your waifu loves someone else. Anyways, the game has been really fun. Been enjoying the story and the current event, as well as its so rare to get XCOM style games nowadays. Hope if nothing else the Global release stays afloat enough for the devs.
Initial "ntr" situation is a huge red flag, it shows that devs are incompetent. Korean situation is an expected outcome of game having incompetent devs. I canceled prereg after resarching into how the game was handled at China.
Snowbreak past event Story says otherwise. When there's issues of shit THAT EXTREME (Outright blatant sabotage from hired personnel, including putting a FUCKING TIANAMEN SQUARE EASTER EGG, in a game whose Devs are Mainland Taiwan people) and it clearly not being an uncommon (just not overly common) method of destroying competition, the NTR suspicions is worth making some ruckus to get the devs to do their damn job.
Wouldn't call their response to Dayen banner good, response were on level of mentally challenged intern or AAA western dew. (Especially when somebody from CN explained cultural problems, this made it ever more bafling them being CN themselves) Game is good but Mika do some strange stuff sometimes.
CN outrage over that was on the level of mentally challenged or AAA western dev. CN cultural problems? They have the same problem with the ''feminists'' that the rest of the modern world does.
Oooohhhh nooooo, will someone please think of the Korean whales... lmao. Such a first world problem. If they're gone, then good riddance. Game is here to stay either way.
@@alicedescartes True, but you're being short-sighted here. If non-KR whales find out how the Koreans are being treated now (shitty compensation for a legitimate problem), I don't think it bodes well for MICA's reputation regardless of who's at fault, Haoplay or them. I'm F2P but if I was a whale and I found out that this is how they "compensate" you even when it's their mistake, I would be more hesitant to spend in the future. Edited because I missed a word
@@WadeWontson From my experience, whales will be pissed if it happens to them personally. Whatever happens to other whales, we could not care less. If KR whales get shafted, whales from elsewhere will likely not care unless/until it also happens to us. This is the sentiment of the group of players I know. Of course, I can't speak for all whales. Everyone is different. Also, let's not pretend gacha whales don't know what they're signing up for. We do, and if anything happens, it's on us. MICA's reputation will be just fine.
@@alicedescartes the problem is that if it's happened to them, it could happen to you. It would be unwise not to be cautious, money doesn't fall from the sky after all. It's funny its almost as if they did this intentionally to troll the Kr fanbase but if they didn't then I feel sorry for the devs but hey I honestly couldn't care less about kr players getting angry its just funny to see them getting absolutely angry over something so trivial and so far im really enjoying the game
Darkwinter is Sunborn is Mica. They are all the same company, which is Mica.
Example : there is equipment sign "increases dmg for every enemies 6%" but the description is "increase dmg for every character death, teammates or enemies 6%"
1st glance to the description, it is a shit sign equipment not worth but if u equip it, it was overpowered sign equipment and a must pull..
Blue archive, horizon walker and resonance having worst text descriptions than this game
any idea how this is happen? (even on their own games like BA, HW is wild)

Chinese player are so angry with this also because they suspected some "brainwashed with intoxicated romance novel" writer wrote this plot.
You can't blame people that just want to enjoy the game without the noise.
honestly the problem for me is having two publishers because later on when guild content etc comes to the game you won’t be able to be in the same guild as your friends if you’re unlucky with your publisher
WTF are you talking about?? Have you been on Reddit the F2P community in GFL2 page downvotes any P2W comments good or bad, F2P is the loud majority in the English version
I think this wasn't the point of the video
Im play from haoplay server. They kinda stingy in give away free code but their cash shop is cheaper than darkwinter. So yeah.
Isn't Haoplay stuck mostly in not as income rich regions?
At least from what I remember, South America, SEA, the more eastern side of Europe and so forth average on the lower end of income. The buying power just isn't there.

MICA could be gut by CN playerbase....
Aaaah so thats what those 10 pulls were. Still used em. I never had any gold dupes in the standard banner so im still happy.
So basically:
1. Poor skill translation for dolls' kits resulted in people getting a different product from what was shown
2. Krolik's skin was advertised as having more effects than it did, again resulting in people getting a different product from what was shown
Huh I spent 250 dollars trying to get a character on the standard banner not knowing this was coming... Fun!
Usually English is the one that has the most mistranslations and poor localization..
Snowbreak is based for saying that 😂
Not hating in the devs but they REALLY should have vetted their writing team better for gfl2
I'm Thai but I didn't know this since I always play stuffs in English by default. I'll give it a try just to see how funky it could get lol.
Even in Textsetting is wrong it said "ภาษาไท" not "ภาษาไทย".
ฺBro imagine first word u need to translate is wrong and it language option.
@@kladius8045 how was it?
Both solid points.

99% of people dont understand NTR.
All of this is because the majority of these gatcha companies can't be bothered to have unified versions. They have to have their clearly favored and ahead of everyone else homeland version. It's actually more work to be maintaining separate versions like this, and nothing good ever comes of it.

On retrospect, 2-3/patch is around 1/2wks. Lol why do we have so few chars then
Genshit has ruined mobile gaming irreparably.

Is this game gonna run in my asus m1 6gb ?
It can even run on my potato i3-8145CU processor lol
NTR is hilarious, even more so when people get mad about it.
@@gogetters6639 imagine if made us play as a cuck commander that would be hilarious
Truth be told I don't they will ever be able to replace ar team,404 or defy in terms of mc because there story is just that good
We got a limited 5star character/weapon selector for that for most limited characters.
They went all out with the compensation.
Thank fking good i ended choosing darkwinter, my region got haoplay but i made my acc for darkwinter, as for the mistranslation common sense tells you that didnt make any sense that suomi would be able to use her ultimate every turn, that would make almost any team close to immortal... . Anyway, if something similar ends happening with the JP version maybe Haoplay is the one that will go EOS first ☠
my first account is haoplay, F2p and got every character.
bought reroll acount darkwinter 3 times, stayed at darkwinter.
my brother! me too i joined darkwinter
i always find really funny that china, the chinese and korean players are always the biggest problem for chinese game devs
should include JP bros, but jp bros are more forgivable if you do it correctly.
And yet gacha devs will cater to them the most (especially the chinese) while global plays second fiddle to everyone else. What to do, money talks.
total CN player death
Do you really want them to be like the west where franchise dies because they decide to end beloved character in the most unspeakable ways just because "We don't like gamers" or ruin the whole thing with nonsense that doesn't even fit the Lore?
1:40 min in "master love..." "oh shit, here we go again"
Wow, they really did KR players dirty with that genshin-like compensation, there a guy in charge who hates Koreans or something?
The Chinese making a big thing out of nothing again
The game is not NTR lol peopel just dumb as fuck this days... The type of peopel who will get jealous of their GFs dad
@bobjohnson6946 If you thought that, congrats: you got Oneguyed and missed out on a good experience (since you are big GFL1 fan)
No, it wasnt anywhere close to actual NTR, nevermind this being a NTR game.
Tbh the spanish translation also sucks missing translation even missing names lol it honestly sucks

lmfao
Guess hiring proofreaders for QC was too expensive...
That's just your opinion man, she is very cute now, even more than before.
@@darken2417 Smaller =/= cuter.
She looks cuter now than before. You not liking it is just your opinion.
Easily recognizable

did you know certain korean adult gacga game said "its good decision to release global server financially"
and then did apologize to korean player?
korean player keep demanding, while global player just enjoying. (but yeah i am sure both player need more content)
but for mica case, they need to go with wuwa approach.
Amazing vid! Knowing CN has a rate up standard selection makes me feel like an idiot for doing the 260 pulls to get Qiongjiu, but it is what it is..
yeah that why im saving, but to be honest..
the dev can do something like guaranteed for anyone pulling 160 times on standard banner. (with exclusive banner)
maybe the pull currency is mailed personally so only the one affected can received.
just for everyone!
Well As I who love GFL. this is very much intentional by the dev, (No matter you see it they want player to spend all voucher first). they only saying we Add later it because they already being spotted in the ACT.
The only doll I hope they add is best girl IDW
in china they buffed tololo to the ruff she best dps unit in the hole game until tehy plan realse m4a1 and scop mod II.
They didn't buff Tololo that much bruh, it was because of Springfield's release too.
Are u quitting the game because of Meta reasons?
fact they're doing a tololo banner instead of this QoL speaks volumes when all they need to do is translate and enable. i will not be touching the tololo banner.
Mococoeh
korea? sorry I only care about finland
Is that so? Then what are you doing here mate?
Im saving for Diayan, just to spite the CN bros. Then I can watch the dorm events with Diayan and Raymond.
Im enjoying the game, its a shame with all these problems showing up in korea.. I am too under the opinion that the standard banner is rgged against us. So Its ^ready to go^ but they want us to wait 3 months ? So not pull for 3 months ?. Thats a big disppiontment I guess. as someone whos pulled two weapons from the standard banner, 1 of them being kinda usless. I feel robbed

It was tad to pitiful whats happening in KR.. however i dont need to complain about that either as im enjoying globals somehow i already finished the even and the story and i have suomi and her weapon aswell as 16500 collapse coisn for the enxt gacha the content and events have enough content for me to grind and get up to 30k collapse coins so im hpapy with that and the battle pass was worth it too even on both free and premium.. in short i have no complaints and the sotry is well written too it may be true that right now the story is t as grand as gfl 1but i hope the issue is fix itll be very sad to see this game die so soon
this was pretty trash
It's a shame what happened to KR players, and stuff like this shouldn't happen
But that has nothing to do with me, I have barely any complaints about the game so far and I'm enjoying the sh out GFL2 every day
how funny
I blame their liberal media
They don’t have in Korea 😭😭 women are treated way worse in there country
@what are you talking about? korea has the 3rd lowest gender inequality in asia according to UNDP.
the former korean president said he is an "feminist" president and got elected and got elected because of that.
55% of the top pharmacy schools in korea are woman's universitys.
Oh and only men have 2 years of mandatory military service.
I'm korean, and I'm not saying that being a woman in korea is easy. Both genders have different difficulties.
@@weirdmilk7017And about the liberal media, one of the 3 big medias of korea(MBC) is liberal. stop tripping bro
Korea is highly conservative country like most of Asia. If you are American, your conservative party would be liberal in Korea.
great content! gachas are awful
Korean Death March 2.0? Hide your FNCs, Choco-Chan doesn't deserve that again.
Ntr situation is just cn being insane for pixels
Snowbreak past event Story says otherwise.
When there's issues of shit THAT EXTREME (Outright blatant sabotage from hired personnel, including putting a FUCKING TIANAMEN SQUARE EASTER EGG, in a game whose Devs are Mainland Taiwan people) and it clearly not being an uncommon (just not overly common) method of destroying competition, the NTR suspicions is worth making some ruckus to get the devs to do their damn job.
@@andrehashimoto8056 What a story haha

Wouldn't call their response to Dayen banner good, response were on level of mentally challenged intern or AAA western dew.
(Especially when somebody from CN explained cultural problems, this made it ever more bafling them being CN themselves)
Game is good but Mika do some strange stuff sometimes.
Probably not the best idea to say something like that when whales are what keep a gacha game afloat.
@@WadeWontson Good thing there are whales from aaaaaaall over the world then. Korean whales aren't the only whales.
