Her main usage is as a cheap laneholder as with module level3 she has insane self sustain and survivability while her s2 provides quite good amount of dph espiecelly when she can pull enemies wich deals alot of arts dps
Dont even get me started on AH synergy, i would say she is easily A tier just for how good she excels at being a really good cheap laneholder, sometimes better than mountain even just thanks to the danage reduction and more dph

By the by, SUPAH, Gravel can easily tank Chapter 10 cannon. A rather curious and useful achievement, no other fast-redeploys can boast. Having a 5000 HP barrier on top of 2000 HP makes for a really chonky rat (prairie doggo)
Because the canon aims at the unit with the highest block count and trying to make the canon aim to gravel is like using a needle as a battering ram

The Gummy part legitimately convinced me that she's not only viable but as a distinct use-case over other defender healers, so mission accomplished.
Holy, i felt his hurt fucking bleeding at words "saria and nearl are better for average player". The video was informative, entertaining, and i agree on most of the points, keep up the good work!
This video made me spam it to many of my AK friends just because of the flawless Gummy section and explained thoroughly why I still take her into new stages over Nearl or Saria when I don't feel like looking guides.

Ok, I unironically enjoyed the Gummy bit.
shaw actually has a really really small niche among pushers in that she pushes things in the tile in front of her but also ever so slightly to either side of that tile for some reason. the only time i can literally ever think of it having been relevant is in i think the NL-EX-8 CM guide by either kukkikaze or kyostinv (i dont remember specifically who). this wouldnt bring her out of F tier, but its worth mentioning. this just makes FEater even worse x3
That's because her skill is like Croissant's S2 in that it pushes things away, as opposed to a set direction. If it comes in at an angle or is situated at an angle, it gets pushed at that same angle. Other pushers just move the entire tile forward. Similar to how Gavial Alter and Gladiia can pull at angles with their skills.
She's the original chain caster. You can see her push jump from one enemy to another. The other pushers only apply their push in their range, but Shaw's S1 can actually jump a little beyond her range.
Gummy section is one of those things that makes you pause.

The only thing cliftheart differ than other puller is that she can pull unit outside of her normal range. Her s2 range is a hammer shape while other is just a straight line, gladia s3 too i think. But normaly you just want to out right kill the enemies rather than rely on enviromental hazzard which btw not every stage have. That is why i never e2 them. Sure in is3 theyre great. You can pull metal crab and even buff patriot soldier down the hole OR even izumi down the hole if you felt like it. But that is basicaly it, you dont want ops that is only good at 1 thing, youd want ops who is good at atleast more than 1 thing

I think it's really interesting; playing with an operator extensively over a long time allows maximizing their effectiveness.
It makes me wonder about the true value of outside-of-meta units since they aren't tested enough to always be used optimally.
It does loop back into "the only units you have are the best units" but as you've demonstrated with your vast gameplay knowledge of Gummy; experience yields magnificent results, and I daresay this may apply universally.
Cliff pull is also reliable on click stun. Helps to ground those hovering enemies sometimes.
During the Gummy segment it felt like you were going to launch into a Vaporeon copypasta so many times.
Thank you for putting respect on Croissant. She is still my most used defender and I have Mudrock, Penance and Blemishine.

Dude, that Gummy bit send my sides to orbit. You made my day. Thank you. To be serious though, she is quite useful. Her S1 has such a quick SP charge that can make lane-holding, with a good sniper/caster by her, easy and less stressful. The S2 though…we don’t talk about that lmao. That’s the last thing to M3 besides a few situations. On Gummy’s character, I just want to see that kid smile and mature into a lovable role model for those who experienced and live with such trauma. Hopefully we get to see more stories related to the USSGG (although we’ll see more of Leto in an event dealing with Kjerag pretty soon).
Generally i just tend to pair Ines with gummy and those two usually can hold a lane on their own

1) The speciality on Cliffheart is not the negligible true damage, its the ranged AoE Stun on her S2.
2) Giving Pramanix B tier is way optimistic. Shamare not only has better cycling and debuffs ATK, Morte can do it outside of her attack range. Since you need 2x Hexer in team pretty much NEVER, Pramanix just doesn't have a place. Unless you have been using the free 5* selectors consistently to get some bizzare ops and never got Shamare, who also happens to be essential Trading Post unit.
3) I agree 100% about Istina being the cutest bookworm boy.
4) Wait SUPAH, am I getting it right that you are actually Lappland and Gummy is your girlfriend? Can you share some naughty pictures together? Who is usually on top?
5) Meteorite's module goes from 30% -> 50% chance, that is NOT awful at all. Gummy only goes 18 -> 26%. The only problem is that artillery snipers are struggling.
6) Rope is the only puller, who can pull targets 4 tiles away, even tho the extended range is NOT mentioned in S2 description, which is mind-bogling. Its a super niche, but still worth noting.
7) Gladiia is not just versatile puller, but competent self-sustain laneholder even W/O other abyssals. She is near-broken with module. Consider doing the same "What-was-I-smoking?" check, like you did when you underrated Eyja.
8) Depending on initial ticket, Vanilla can be better IS starter VG than Fang, because she is less likely to leak (offensive VS Fang's defensive orientation). Her DP skill also has 20 VS Fang's 25 SP cost. Not worse than Fang, sidegrade.
9) Yato baiting on the cheapest semi-FRD around is still a thing and her semi-FRD + block-2 is awesome in Reclamation Algorithm. She is pretty usefull for 2*.
Noir Corne meanwhile, is cheapest block-3 apart from Friston, who has abysmal redeploy. Still used in high-risk CC occasionally.
Yato and NC are IMO more usefull than some 3,4 and even 5*.
Gladiia is criminally underrated here.
He thinks you need to bring the whole Abyssals gang, but Laurentin and Gladiia are the real core, followed by Skalter (technically not AH team but synergy with them is insane)
Those 2 together are meta landholders and very versatile too.
He seems to think S3 is Gladiias best skill, but it's unambiguously S2 and S1 is great for daily driving afk.
Never seen much use out of Noir, myself, but I fully agree on Yato. Simply being a fast-redeploy operator in this game is enough to make you at the very least a viable option with lots of use-cases. There are the occasional rare situations in this game that will make you want to have two Gravels.
She also gives you access to a frd meatbag in IS for 0 hope.
That's more use than some other 2-, 3- and even 4-stars have.

Also Supah: "I love my waifu Gummy, we've gone everywhere, into a zoo in a limo, multiple times to the mall, movie theater, ocean, pool, restaurants and all of the above. And i may be the most dedicated fan as it's a deep Rabbit Hole, as alongside that i also have an RC car so she can move around with me if i want. All my consoles are covered with her alongside all my game covers which i replace. I follow over 200 Gummy accounts which is currently half the people i follow on Twitter. I have over 500 dollars in commissioned artwork some of us together. I also have medieval chainmail with all the push button pins that i've collected of her, which goes together with a sword and shield which is entirely made out of her, but most importantly, i have turned my house into a church for Gummy, and this is what outside of my house looks. Like, besides advertising the church in front of my driveway, i also have multiple billboards outside also advertising it for people driving by.
My house is a legitimate place of worship though as when you walk in you'll see a choir of gummies alongside an 18 ft tall mural, then if you go upstairs you can see the truly special part which is the walls and rooms of Gummy as seen here, and have gone as far as putting pages on the ceiling. Then you come upstairs you'll see that the floor is completely covered with pages, and extends all the way to this mini hallway, but the truly special part is this room right here which is the most decorated part inside of the house.
Nothing isn't covered and is the Pinnacle of the Holy Land. Generally for the rest of the rooms upstairs they're all very similar including my room and the two separate bathrooms i have upstairs.
If you were wondering how i did this, they were all printed with my 10 photo printers which are also Gummy.
Now of course being concerned about robbers is a problem, which is why i also have custom Gummy boomsticks, which include a revolver, a rifle, an army knife, blessed ammo which i all keep for myself, but i also have an entire Gummy militia, which i call the cooknights in order to guard my house and also the giant monuments that i've built. Which include a 25 ft tall cutout of her, ten 20 ft tall cutouts of her, two 30 ft tall cutouts of her, and one cutout the size of half a tennis court."

I think there is also a case for Gummy preferring a low level (and sometimes even S2) if you want to use her to stall an enemy without hurting them too badly. For example, in some stages like the Emperor's Blade stage, low level doctors might just want to have Gummy hold the boss in place while focusing on the other mobs first. This is also true in stages with the flag mobs that buff everyone if you hit them. I remember clearing some daily CC in my early days by catching a tanky enemy with Gummy and then letting the two flag guys stick to her, without her ever being able to kill that tanky enemy alone, so the flag mobs stay undamaged.

Idk personally I do feel like Glaadia is more of a B or A tier operator, like she has the niche of being a very tanky operator that can hit air enemies, hold in place with the tornado, have several tiles of range and do pretty reasonable damage at 13 DP, like she's probably worse than mountain in many cases but her ability to hit air and hit more than 2 enemies with her tornado as well as being able to tank a few things that mountain can't makes her really solid honestly. Idk I just find myself really happy with her whenever I pick her in IS and she's very flexible to use there. Awesome video tho, was a great watch as always and thank you for your work!
I think the issue is that she's a fantastic generalist, but arknights rewards you for using units that are PERFECT for the job; not ones that are ok. Thorns can replace her in most situations, angelina can damage and slow groups of enemies, Dorothy can full-bind single enemies for a frankly ridiculous amount of time for something so spammable, and her range is too tight to be your sole AntiAir. The reason why she's highly valued is that she's great for a unit EVERYONE has. She does have her module to support other abyssals, but in all likelihood that'd just be specter... whom can be replaced by mudrock in most cases. She's pretty useful in all situations, but you can nearly always find a better alternative (assuming you had every unit in the game maxxed out, which is what this tierlist was based around)
I see where you're coming from, but I think the problem is she ONLY really shines in IS or challenge stages. In normal levels there are usually better alternatives for whatever you want. So I feel like it results in building a squad to compensate her as opposed to just adding her as the main piece to a strategy. Otherwise I would agree with you.
I never need to add extra operators to make Platinum, Silverash, or Thorns fulfill their role in a strategy. When I think of it that way, C rank makes sense to me.
I @@darkdaxterversionz I will say I feel like her niche is a bit different from thorns and silverash for example and I personally find that those latter two i find I have to take specific operators with as opposed to Glaadia. I think the main thing she has over those operators is her sheer tankiness. Like there are a fair few modern enemies i find that don't die immediately to thorns for example and do end up just killing him before he gets to full tilt. Glaadia's damage reduction and bind I feel like make her much better at dealing with enemies that hit medium hard while being able to lanehold further into the level as well. That's why i feel like her best comparitor is mountain, as opposed to thorns and I bring her out in many cases where mountain dies to those specific enemies or i need to hit air or some reason (though she is less AFK for sure). I see her as a laneholder for early rush maps that costs very little and has utility that moutnain doesn't. I don't think shes' quite as good as him in general honestly, but i do use her about the same as I would like Hoshiguma, and more than like platinum or angelina (and thorns too for that matter, but that's mostly caue i got tired of using himin IS lol) So I would but her in B tier personally. (idk why i've invested so much time into this lmao I'm a generic Mudrock stan but I hope u enjoyed this lol)
@@slavaosokin3521 Here's the difference though because I feel you misunderstood what I said. I picked those 3 operators because they are examples of B, A, and S ranks on his tier list. And there is a difference between a niche and a role. Platinum will fulfill her job as a sniper and target aerial enemies every single time. Are there better snipers? Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that she will still do her job adequately in most stages. Silverash and Thorns will similarly always lanehold and deliver DPS, unless you need a Defender which isn't the typical role of a guard.
When building a team, you're trying to fill certain roles. You need laneholders, defenders, medics, snipers, vanguards, supporters, fast deploys, and DPS. Sometimes an operator can fill more than one role, but a good operator will almost always fill one.
If I decide to use Gladiia as a laneholder, I have to worry about her block, which means I need other operators to catch stragglers. If I use her as a sniper, I have to worry that she doesn't auto target aerial enemies, which also means stragglers. If I use her skill for DPS, and it doesn't kill a bunch of enemies, then I have to worry about all of those enemies sneaking past her, and its long charge time. If I want to do any of those basic things, I automatically need to supplement her with other operators. That's very different from 'Thorns dies if you don't heal him with a medic,' because most squads need them since most operators will die without one.
Hopefully that made more sense this time. Perhaps we might have to agree to disagree. I do think you raised more good points on her viability in IS and niches, but I don't think that changes her ability to fulfill a single role as opposed to being a pseudo spread across a bunch of different roles (which is why she's less AFK too). Either way Mudrock is pretty freaking great.

I seriously think that Gladiia is being underrated here as the key piece that makes the whole Abyssal hunters team work! The fact she pulls is honestly second to that in my mind (I also pretty much solely use her skill 3)
Giving operators with 4k hp (after synergy buffs are applied) a passive, % based, global HP regen is INSANE! And on top the also get a passive damage reduction; to put it in perspective normal specter can tank the londinium true dmg laser without using her skill and be back to full hp in less than 10 seconds~! not to mention Gladiia herself also functions perfectly as a 2 block guard with a 3 tile range, her buffed hp and passive hp regen (not to mention increased atk and atk speed) make her an all star unit when you even just bring the other hunters in the party without deploying them~!
This is insane!
Wow. That was a pretty good segment for Gummy. A lot of really good points made that prove an operator can shine regardless of rarity. And a great show case of one man’s dedication to one of his favorite characters.

You did actually convice me to E2 gummy, I've been thinking of E2ing either Gummy or Cutter (i mostly use 4 stars) and you convinced me to do Gummy first.
He really put a whole Gummy video in a ranking video. I expected nothing less.
25:30 yeah completely agree my main issue with summoners originally is that since their summons take up deployment limits, is really hard for them to integrate with other units i feel (for me at least), you have to really justify placing a summon over an actual op, and thus Ling is born. Also i only mostly see them being showcase in solos so there's that. Added on those two mention here can't regenerate their summons makes it so much harder to use.

2:10 Is there any way that we can consider at least just the 3 that give and gain the most from Abyssal Hunters (original Skadi, Gladiia, and Specter Alter) and 9 other meta units vs 12 meta units? With just their core synergies combined, they can arguably rival a lot of the other meta units as they become quite meta themselves.
I'd also argue for Andreana too as the atk speed and massive atk she sports with all the other buffs really just compliments the others; not to mention using 4 slots most of the time still leaves more than ample room for other picks~
@ninjablade2 I love using Andreana with AH for that extra bit of dps, but realistically, that extra bit of atk spd is just a fun but small bonus. If we're talking about making the most of the units and min-maxxing, Andreana is FAR from important to the argument. Aak, Suzuran, or Warfarin would give much better results on the buffing front, and in the ranged damage front there are more than enough dps units to make up for the small difference in overall damage that a deployed Andreana (+ the additional dps given to AH from her talent) would pull off. I love her, but meta-wise she wouldn't give enough to the main 3 of the AH squad to be better than one other meta operator being included.
@@Shadow6OO See the trick for her is to combine her with Muelsye~! I always use Andreana as the clone for her and you turn her from a half decent unit to multiplying her 5x over and she keeps the abyssal hunter buffs when you clone her! (also with this i don't even bring another vanguard outside muelsye freeing up so many more spots on the squad)
Also she's very similar in dps output to Dorothy when combined with Muelsye, which means she can both give that bonus to the AH members while also getting massive damage in through her stats and massive range being cloned (and then deployed as well~!)
I think all considered, she can be made to be equal to most other picks for that slot and she is kinda slept on in some ways she can be used~

@@ninjablade2 My guy. You are saying to use EVEN MORE non-meta Operators in order to make them somewhat on level with maybe 1 or 2 of the top meta Ops.
I love to use Andreana, and Muelsyse has a pretty fun kit, but we are talking about min-maxxing. Alone, none of those 3 AH Ops would be all that meta, but having all 3 together could potentially beat out quite a few other groups of 3 meta Ops. But the second you start slapping in any more AH (until Ulpian, hopefully) is when the synergy stops outweighing an equal amount of meta Ops.
Simple math:
Skadi + Specter alter + Gladiia = 3 Ops that are meta by themselves.
Skadi + Specter alter + Gladiia + Andreana < 4 Ops that are meta on their own.
@@Shadow6OO Is Muelseye really not meta?? She's 5x ing the damage of any ranged operator (and it'll soon be 100% of their stats with her new module) Is there really that many operators that can boast that sort of damage??
Also from what i've seen Dorothy is considered the best combo with Muelsye, so with Andreana being comparable I figured that's a decent argument in her favor, right?
Either way, if it's indeed not meta it doesn't change much for me, but i'd certainly argue that having 5 ranged clones with 1500 arts damage each and one of the largest attack range patterns... should be considered meta if it is not currently, haha (not to mention these clones come out for 12dp, and none of them take up a deployment slot~!)
Meteorite got done extremely dirty imo. Yes, the rng can be a bother, but the module makes it a lot more usable by increasing the chance to 50%, so combined with the short 3sp of her s1m3 she'll average out a very nice output for her rarity.
I'm also surprised that you went into the whole "Gummy is best at both E1 and E2, choose one", and then not mention the place where she can be both.
She's a fantastic starter pick in IS4 to combine healing and blocking with low hope and dp costs, which can then be upgraded to her full power if the opportunity comes up. I'm not joking when I say she's been my go to starter option with the sniper/caster squad.
