As I've said already, I don't see why him lying and pretending to be a different person entirely even matters when it comes to leaking information. You'd be a fool to leak information that is legit without hiding who you are, really. It seems like the people who "exposed" him had an agenda to me. They don't like him and/or don't like the fact that he was growing in popularity based on how accurate his information was. Doesn't matter how he had the information, just as long as it was accurate, which it was.
You can pretend to be a dog or an alien for all I care, as long as the information is good. Deceiving people on your identity does not discredit the actual only thing that matters, which is information. If it turns out hes no longer a reliable source, then move on to the next reliable source. I don't see why this is such a big deal to some people.

The only issue is that by pretending to have broken English, they often created misinformation and problems with what they were saying. But that’s literally the only problem.
Besides that tho, who cares?? Them throwing ppl of their trail by LARPing helped make sure they wouldn’t be caught leaking. The ppl who outed him was just jealous for some reason. Who even cares about who they are? Cus clearly Midori didn’t think it mattered either.

He was RPing as a japanese woman likely as a way to be a differet paerson and "run away" from the harassment he had in the past.

He got a death threat (with a recording online) from someone that used to be big on the Persona community named PhanSite who was outed to be abusive and was chased off the internet
This is one side of the story. The other side is the fact that he was an abuser as well lol. That's the reason he was harrassed.

I get why "midori" got that hate with the leak community, having leaks and spreading them can be dangerous to the people working there, I have some connections but i never leak out anything because i don't want my friends' job to be at risk just for some likes or for recognition I don't deserve. I think the rest of the controversy is fine, calling someone racist for using a "persona" is kind of stupid knowing how some companies might try to track down leakers like nintendo with the ninjas and like you said it was not catfishing at all.
He kind of "drip" fed info and hardly shared too much tbh. I feel like he was purposefully trying not too share too much or too little

Funny thing is. I always saw the account as a man. In my mind, there was no way that was a woman
zac mentions having a relationship with him during COVID, so he was not 17 during the relationship, but around 19 (he has posted his birthday and it's public, Born June 4, 2001)
So it does not add up with what Zac himself posted. 🤔
