  • Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first president, had a goal; a united Africa. Here is the story of Real Republicans, the historic 1960's championship football club which was assembled to represent African unity and the glory it will bring. Kofi Pare (a.k.a. KOPA), a member of both the Real Republicans Club and Ghana Black Stars, tells the story from his perspective.

    I wish to set up a group of stakeholders and investors to revive this club and make it a top notch. It already has a history so just the right investment and we will dominate Ghana and Africa

      Never thought about it that way but, this is great! I love the fact that the video made you think of opportunities/creativity. Anyway, your proposal is achievable plus it would be an impetus to revamp Ghana football.

    Kotoko's fan base has always been solid and superfluous, even from the gold coast era as shared by the legendary Kofi Pare.

    They were the first professional club in Ghana. Later, on we got Sekondi Independence with Robert Mensah as the goalkeeper. He came back to Dwarfs after the 1966 coup.

    Many years ago, we were at a Homowo party in James Town when an argument erupted as to who was the best right winger among the Black Stars of yesteryear --- Baba Yara or Osei Kofi. Fortunately for us, who else but defender Addo Odametey was sitting nearby. He had played with and also against both legends in the Black Stars and at Hearts of Oak respectively. He was therefore asked to tell us who was who. He informed us that although Baba Yara was the best right winger in Ghana at the time, Osei Kofi was the best overall forward line player.

    You see the mindset of obibini, common stone was all it took to get him at his best. There's no bosom anywhere but confidence and faith in your own self plus hard work.

    Great story. Perhaps Ghana should change it's national anthem to something Afro-centric and more indiginous to its people.

      Prince Koffa only idiot prefer other languages than his or her mother tongue language.. Europe, Asia and west speak their own language.. I said what i said and call a spade a spade .. are you focusing on their achievements or a foreign language..

    • @prinzonic9896
      @prinzonic9896 6 років тому +3

      Togbe Osagyefo , on the contrary, the usage of one vernacular can be restricted to a forum purposely designated for such but limited to a public domain that embraces diversity viewers in which the English language can be used as a medium of communication.
