Hello mate. Just bought that type of scooter you got. I’ve bought a set of pmt road tyres and I’m looking for a shock for the back and front. So the question is what’s your thoughts on shocks for the back and front. I know this is an old video and 12 months might be a long time in technology. Is the rear shock worth it? What types have you seen as 280 large is a bit on the expensive side. I’m cool at 100 pound a side or am I crazy? Thanks.
I get the rear is expensive, it’s a lot! There are other brands which appear to be good like DMZ I think. I haven’t done the front shock only rear but think you can buy both easily and for alot less than the RockShox unit. Ride safe! They are worth buying, mine ride so well
You can get a sleeve so the fitment is perfect, I used other items I had in my workshop which happened to fit perfectly. It will go on without though, you’ll feel the rear assembly have a tiny bit of play when you lift it up at the rear, I don’t believe it would cause any issues in reality as you don’t get sideways movement. If you fit directly I would shim it out, cheap shims should work and reduce any play. Ride safe and sub/like please. Thanks for watching
I just want to let you know of a hidden feature about the 10x. Under the screen is a usb plug and from there you can plug in your tracker or whatever that was 24/7. I did this for my phone stand so every time i am riding i can charge my phone the usb is hidden under the screen and it has a little flap that you need to open
That’s awesome! I didn’t know that... I’ll use it tomorrow.. thank you so much. No one seems to know this information. I’m doing another video on the brakes but more interesting out and about, so I’ll include that as well and plug you! Cheers and ride safe. Please sub and like 👍🏼
Nice upgrades. I have the nanrobot d6+. So I am definitely going to use so.e of your ideas. BTW do u have the link for break pads ??. I can't find it in the description 😕
Hi, thank you. I don’t have a link for them as they were hard to find online. I went to a good bike shop and that sold Swiss Stop and they checked the size and picked them for me. They’re super easy to install. They were not cheap though!!! Organic material. Cost I think around £50/60! For both sets. Sorry I haven’t got more information. Please sub and like. New video on the way shortly
Wonder if that rear rotor performance will degrade faster because it's backwards. The arms are facing the wrong way. I saw a guy reversed the motor polarity and flipped the whole wheel around the other way.

Do titanium bolts, axles, rotors, etc. make much sense on electric scooters and who sells them? I remember when titanium anything was all the rage for MTB; probably still is. Looking into shaving some weight off my new scooter (especially rolling weight) and just don't know if it makes sense or where to find the parts.
Yes I think so, they maybe so costly though. Any weight saving = speed and more power to weight ratio. I am unsure where to buy them but admit I haven’t looked. I’ve used carbon in places but the parts only save small amounts but looks great. Let me know what you find. Safe riding
@@SuperMet I'll keep you updated then. One hurdle is identifying the exact bolt sizes by going to a local hardware or parts store and then finding a titanium version online. These bolt sizes are not readily available online, plus they are probably different based on manufacturer of the scooter, rims, etc. The disc brake rotors are a different hurdle. Don't know how to go about finding the right replacement yet.
@@SuperMet Awesome, once you know the sizes, it is super simple to find titanium versions. Any thoughts on the disc brakes? I have 140mm disc brakes. Does thickness matter? Are these just the same as bike brakes? Can’t think of anything else to switch out can you?
The brakes just use bike rotors. I changed the pads originally as well for Swiss stop pads and they were awesome. Rotors loads of types, best not to use floating like I used as some can hit the calipers easily as they have metal rivets that can be raised. Have a look on some of the high end bike shop websites, they can give some good ideas for changes. My handlebars are 700mm carbon and save a lot of weight and look cool. I haven’t had any issues but you to watch the clamping force when adding brake levers etc. Good luck with it!
This scooter looks amazing. I want to order one from a local dealer here, but I have few questions. How can you trust the scooter to be safe? Does adding hydraulic brakes necessarily makes it safe? How about other variables? What's the process of having this machine tested for safety? And on what conditions? Does this scooter get checked on higher speeds? Does this scooter have certification for that? Maybe some of you guys here take this machine as an "extreme" sport where you don't mind that much about safety, or just for the sake of the thrill forget about it. What's your thoughts?
I have been using mech breaks and it has been ok so far... I think it's even safer because it allows for a more gradual breaking hence avoiding skids... For more advanced users however, skidding may be desirable so that's ok. I've kept a the stock stem lock but tightened it quite a bit so it doesn't rock or make any unwanted movements. Just don't expect it to fold tho it's a sacrifice you have to make when getting a scooter with this design
@@SuperMet this is an old and generic scooter model (sold in diff names) while the new vsett is "new" they have basically made a better version of this...
@@gopronomad4381 @Stephen Chen Once I wrote that comment, I already received my Zero10x, I added hydraulic brakes by a special request. Against wobbles, I use a clamp, no problem with that, I can take it off whenever I want to fold the scooter.
I really wanted to do that and got it inside the deck but it needs a charger cable and the power supply is huge and will not fit sadly. Automile, wanted £140 for the power cable! I need another solution really but it’s really good and lasts around 17 days on a 50 min charge. The app is amazing and it works even inside buildings still.
The suspension is the best upgrade!!!,👏👏 Grips is perfect!! Steering damper... Ok! It's ALL THE MONEY!!!!🤩🤩 One of the best upgrades, because 10inch is small tires and over 35-40 klm, damper make REALLY work!!! The disk brakes.... I'm sorry but is a downgrade, not upgrade!!☹️ That disks is for bikes... The stock you already have is 10 time better, powerful than the new one!! It's only for beauty, changed theme immediately!! The scoot is DANGEROUS!! If you are running top speed and you are 1 hour one the road (disks already hot), in a hard brake it maybe broken and stacks the tire!!🤕 All the others are perfect!!!😜 Ride safe!!🙋 With love and Respect from Greece!!!🇬🇷🥰
How are the police with you riding bud? Also, wher run London do you ride mostly? Most police in West London don't bother me, but I heard east London's a bit dodgy with scoots and police.
I’m in south london. Using it around blackheath, chislehurst areas. It’s been ok so far but I am very careful. Respectful of people and cars. Not joining it around anywhere! I want to ride as everyone else to be fair. Be safe and ride carefully!!
Hahaha it is fast enough. Problem is space in the deck. Make it handle better with suspension and it will exceed the mantis. Maybe new floating rotors. Sounds like you need a weped ff
Nice custom setup you have , also looking to get a 10x for commuting ... , have you checked out the limited edition zero 10x you will love some extra goodies they put on there :) , keep up the content
I have looked at it yes. I do like it a lot but I worry about the battery as it’s not in the deck but on the stem in a soft bag now. I think it is weighted badly compared to low down inside the deck. So am now in the process of designing a new scooter to make in pre-preg carbon with 72v and 3000w x2 motors and Kelly controllers. A cross between Rion, dualtron and zero. Lighter weight, huge range and big power all (hopefully). Designing it now and then have to look for somewhere to build it. If it works I’ll build for production. You would love the 10x. The simple bits I have done have made it really useable each day. The deck is sealed and as water tight as I can get it. I can wash it down after hitting the mud now without too many issues. Zero has a brand new machine coming out in December that I am filming. 60v and bigger motors. It looks grown up and so solid. Around £2000 apparently. Look out for the video in the first week of December. Be safe! And thanks for watching

Its not performance that degrades. The rotor under tension can fail.
