Even though my mom didn't take care of my hair I started being natural from when quarantine started I had heat damage and a lot of bald spots but now, am 14,my hair is full and it's at shoulder length
Ik it was so painful for my mum to comb my hair in between her legs expecting me not to cry or move
Am glad to be part of your family😀
I've learned on how to take care of my hair thanks a lot

I’m in tears writing this because I’ve been so hard on myself and my daughters hair( her aunt talks about my baby) and this video has given me the strength to rise above the negativity. Thank you so much. My baby is beautiful and I’m proud of her hair progress

@Matilda Lucas it all depends. If I don’t have a protective style then it’s mostly every two weeks as I work out as well but if I do have protective style in then monthly.

I had a bald patch at the side of my head, similar to the pictures in your video, for the longest time. I was freaking out and I didn’t know what to do. Eventually I was able to grow out my bald spot using natural products like rice water with orange peels, black soap, tea tree oil, and Jason’s brand biotin conditioner. These products also helped me cure my dandruff. Now my hair feels thick and healthy.

Don’t tell these older people that were talking nice to our kids. They’ll call us soft lol. But I resonate with this video so much. I have a 10 month old daughter. She doesn’t have much hair yet, but I’m trying to get ready for when it starts sprouting. My mom gave us relaxers early and when I went natural in 2010 I had no idea how my natural hair looked or how to take care of it. My daughter is going to know and love her hair if I have anything to do with it, but I will support anything she wants to do with her hair.

My hair was really healthy but relaxed when I was younger and kinda long and then I keep straightening even though it straightening ready I dont know what was wrong with me.then I had bad heat damage and my hair starting falling off. So then I stop straightening it.and cut my hair. So I found your page and your video is the reason my hair is growing now

Thank u Mercy. Boy do I remember getting my hair washed, straightened and left feeling like my head was on 🔥. I can smile now, but then it was certainly not fun. The funniest thing though is that we never experienced breakage nor did we experience heat damage. Despite it all, I am so glad that we have come such a long way with this subject. I learned to do the same thing u do for little Nadia with my daughter and she has always had a head full of beautiful har. Thank u for sharing Mercy, Keep GOD first.

I love the point you made about "stop putting your insecurities on your child" and "make them feel comfortable about their hair". It comes from the dads mostly, innocently, they say what's up with your hair, when they just have a cute natural curly fro. Thank you, I had to say that to people. Leave my babies alone. The little one is 1yr and her hair is still short. And my other 4 daughters have a lot of hair and liked wearing it natural at first. But thank you for this info. Great jewels. And your hair is beautiful. 😍
As a single mom of all girls in trying to stay on top of hair routines. I get tired, lol. Any tips on cutting down time when doing so many heads would be appreciated. Thank you

2 another video you use rice water on her then use Argan shampoo and conditioner then alovera oil

I'm on my sons channel 😂 but wow I admire you sooo much ! Your hair and Nadia's hair is the prettiest natural hair ever! I'm white but my grandbabys age 6-16 are black and I'm learning more daily how to do their hair the right way because we all know it's so different! I'm going to start the Aloe Vera treatment for sure ! The rice water I'm not sure about because of arsenic but maybe soaking it 24 hours is worth it . My youngest hates her air and always tells me she wants my hair so of course I tell her I love hers more and will trade any day ! I'm gonna show her how beautiful her hair is and she will know her curls are gorgeous! Thanks for your videos and teaching us how to grow natural hair .

I’m not against relaxing your child’s hair but it must and I mean must be at an appropriate age. I totally agree with point #6. I relaxed again after 5 years natural and my hair is long, beautiful, healthy and relaxed. But I think you shouldn’t consider it in your child until at least 10 years old and it should be a conversation. And they have to want it too. It can’t be your decision. I think a good age to relax for the first time is probably around 12 years old, at the earliest 10. Under 10 is just too young. My daughter is 7 and she’s natural. We did her first silk press and omg she loved it lol. But she doesn’t even know what a relaxed is so hopefully she want to continue the silk presses for now. I think it’s important for children to learn their hair but if she ever decide she want a relaxer, we can talk about it in 3 years lol.

How often would you recommend washing my daughters hair if she just turned 1? I just started the Aloe Vera treatment and it’s working wonders

My mom and granny use to braid my hair in a lot of cornrows. It felt like hours. When they were done, my butt would feel so dead it's not even funny.

My baby hair is short but I’m definitely not putting ponytails in her hair. I’m definitely going to try your baby hair Routine on my 3yr old and my twins that are 13. They hair was long now it’s so short. I try to tell them they beAutiful with they short hair but they would love a ponytail
