  • A further delayed release of one of our office based format recovery operations, this worked in conjunction with clients and two London team members. The next uploads (which are coming very soon) return to the more familiar in vehicle pursuits.
We received a call from car hire company advising us that one of their Ford Transit recovery trucks had been stolen overnight from a depot in Salisbury during a break in.
We had the theft route mapped through frequent GPS updates from the Automatrics MTrack system and located the vehicle a few hours later near Uxbridge. The vehicle was subsequently blocked in by two of the customers vehicles whilst awaiting for the Met police attendance. Things then take a turn when the blocking vehicles are smashed out of the way and the chase is back on. We also discover a second truck has been stolen from the same theft area in Salisbury but the Met police are still nowhere to be seen.
Time for plan B, with three Wiltshire Police vehicles traveling to the London theft site to solve the burglary theft with the Automatrics recovery team.
Follow the operation from the office prospective. What's happening, what characters will be on scene and will the police be able to attend in time.

At least Salisbury Police made the effort to go into the Yard and take action while Uxbridge Police were probably investigating a wolf whistle incident 30 years ago

"Uxbridge police" makes me laugh when people think the different areas of London have their own "police".
London's largest is the Met, which covers virtually everything within the M25, there's also City of London police which cover a square mile in the centre of London, and obviously roaming forces such as British Transport police, MOD police, although you don't really see MOD officers in London.

@@N4CR It's an entirely separate police force is more the point I was making, like how the police in Watford, Uxbridge, Croydon, Tottenham are all working for the same force, The Met.
There is no such thing as "Uxbridge police" it's simply the "Metropolitan police"...
It would be like saying "Tonbridge wells police are different to Sevenoaks police, who are different to Edenbridge police" they are all working for the same force, a lot of the time the county forces base out of the same stations respective of where they work, they'll have x amount of stations throughout their force region but some counties cover a huge area, so officers working in one area say west, may work out of the same station as officers working in the east, perhaps 20 miles apart.

We can't keep relying on a paycheck that is already half-spent before we even receive it, there are investment opportunities that have helped a lot of people especially in the financial market. Found out there was some gypsy fight and the loser went looking for a car to steal to get back home, as some other travelers had smashed his van.. I found out more through the great vine than the police ever told us, other than the fact they knew where it had ended up but didn't want to fetch it off a traveler site in Manchester because ""we don't want any of our officers to get hurt"". @@MrZimmaframe Yeah its the same in my country.
They have no problem handing out big fines to a single mother that allowed her kid to play on a playground that someone decided had to be closed due to social distancing and working people that do a few miles over the speed limit.
But when it is someone that has had their house broken into, and their stuff stolen, they dont even care to come look at it, they just get the details on the phone and send you a letter you can show the insurance company.
I have even heard of cases where people's mobile phones and tablets has been stolen, and the phone reports it is in a refugee center, but the police wont do anything, because
      A. It takes to many officers to even go there.
      B. They live in smaller accomodation and the position is not good enough to pinpoint it to the exact room, and they dont want to knock on 2 doors and have the owner set off an audible alarm to hear which of the 2 rooms the phone is in.
This offcourse because it might violate someone's rights.
And they dont care if the owner of the stolen goods, rights are violated by these thugs.
I have heard of more than one example of people simply tracking their stuff and then getting a couple of big lads, go get the stuff from the thieves themselves.
Only problem is, if they rough up the thieves a bit because they refuse to give the stuff back, then the police will magically have unlimited time and ressources to prosecute the ones getting their stuff back.
Have also had examples of police not having time to go look at camera footage from a store, where someone stole some stuff.
Did not even bother to show up, because of lack of ressources.
When the store owner put the videos of the bandits, clearly visible and visibly stuffing the pants with loot, the police suddenly had plenty of time to charge and prosecute the store owner for breach of the rights of the thieves.
Makes one really hate the police, when they only care about criminals rights.

When you First located the stolen truck, rather than block it in, I don't get why you didn't disable it right there until the owner or your team came to get it. (??). Although, I must admit , the Police found a real hot spot by delaying the initial report.

@@zlmdragon. Interesting comment - I do contribute to one channel I watch, it is weekly and has content I learn from.
This channel is really advertising for their business but if this was a weekly channel, had follow ups and information I can learn from then yes I would -- If I could learn how to secure my toys better, how to place security cameras, how to secure evidence for police prosecution, what insurance to use (the channel could get brokerage from that) and so many more aspects.
My suggestion of a follow up is seeking that I guess. Personally, I think this channel would receive more marketing benefit, a greater brand presence, from more content and more regular updates than from viewers contributions

Great to see more action again, thank you for your response to my last comment.
I would like to add that it maybe a lucrative idea to have more part time spotters dotted around the country based that could be on site to prevent or record the dismantling of goods much quicker, on a commission base?
This would of course benefit the customer and insurance company's, no one wants to see their prized asset destroyed.
As it stands you are offering great a good service at the moment but do you feel you could do better?
