Respect to the 3rd party sites in all honesty, everybody looks at them as shady. Yes they make good profit but look at how they responded to this situation. Very respectable.
yeah tbh didnt really expect that from them
i mean think about it, they could make that money back easily with the positive PR and avoiding all the negative PR. Imo it was a no brainer@@znium
What a crazy misconception lmao. Do you think 3rd party sites helped a millionaire for what? Do you think it makes sense to 'drop everything' and help a rich boy get his shxt back while thousands of others lose vast lesser amounts of money and are never helped?
Do you think it's fair that a man that has money to commit 100x your financial mistakes gets helped while you and others get shat on? So if a 'normal' guy gets scammed for a 500€ knife he's dumb asl, if a rich boy get's hacked / scammed for thousands / mills, he's unlucky? Stop looking at shxt without paying attention. They helped him because of the image boost / maintenance it gave, nothing else. And it only proved how people are treated according to their financial power and the gains you might get from it.
It's such a stupid social factor. A rich boy loses his shxt to ignorance and everyone runs to help in hopes of getting something for it. A 'normal' guy loses his shxt and he's treated like an animal.
Unless they knew something about the situation. They allowed the Russians to sell the skins on their platform, yeah the markets refunded but think of how good of a PR move that is. We don’t know how much money they actually make, maybe it was economical to pull that

Thank you for reacting Ohne, my drilla 🙏🙌
very nice video! Well done!
So happy for you Brandon!
yeaaa lets go!!

brandy fandy i love ur v ideos....
He's so into CS skins that he even called mr Brandon, FN.

Mah drilla
Someone at Valve definitely got fired for this, either because it was an intentional inside man job, or a royal screw up.
factz
flashback to 2014-15 TF2 where people got free items by claiming they were deleted and filed a support ticket to russian steam support, same deal
russians filed a report and since russian steam support is ran just as well as TF2 is, they got in
Sup zesty
this video is an absolute banger. the editing + storytelling on point. even non cs-dudes can follow
Too much exaggeration bro, got cringe half way through when he was waffling about "the thief waited as the seconds went by"
overediting is so cringe bro
glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks that the video is overedited/overdramatized
bro just copying the video style of disrupt tv
@@krypt he's had that style for like 2 years
honestly valve W giving back HFB all his skins back tbh, im shocked they did anything at all. but cool that valve actually noticed and did something about it.
Huh, they would've got sued dude
not like they had a choice. their fuck up lost this guy millions.
Many, many people lose their skins and Valve doesn't help them. Giving a bullshit reason is easier for them along with blaming the customer, despite 1 click on a normal looking link being enough to hijack through 2fa. @@WigSplitters
They did something about it because this proved a massive fucking vulnerability on Valves end. You could do literally everything right and by the book, have flawless account security, and STILL lose your items because of a Steam support fuckup. They HAD to do this or the market would have crashed, and a crashed market = less transaction fees for Valve. Normally they don't give a shit because its almost always the fault of the person who got hacked.

I love watching ohne drink his water like that ive been doing it since i was kid and got comments on it to this day lmaooo
Most impressiv is that he can load a 4k vid instant
This is also how i had lost my csgo inventory but sadly steam support only acts when its about big inventories... they pre-tested if this would work on smaller accounts beforehand, i want to point out
i had to wrestle the people who yoinked the account around but it ultimately left me with an empty steam and csgo inventory, which is something to say. i lost like 60 to 80 bucks worth in a SINGLE MINUTE
@@Zylenxx They only reverse it if its steam at foult if some one scams you or get your passwort it is your problem, but sorry for your loss
@Nikolasz1173 just went thru this a while back, about a 10k inventory. Took weeks of pleading and threatening legal action to steam support before they finally admitted a support agent let someone gain access to the account. I would not be surprised if there are a few support agents who do this regularly. They look for dormant accounts with sizeable inventory.
saw “steinful” and my jaw dropped. he was one of my favorite underground tf2 creators
the editing/sound on that video was on point
Brandon has made some very good videos, First video I seen of his was a VRChat one and it was amazing
calling out a "double standard" (the jewelry heist was on the news, the hack wasn't) isn't really valid considering no one was endangered by a stolen account/stolen digital items
u really undervalued how insane this video was in my opinion. but yeah it makes sense, ur not an editor. ur an information proffesional
Frrrr the editing is insane
conspiracy: what if HFB planned the robbery with the hacker, so that they were actually robbing the third party sites

Steam support is crazy, once my friend has a acc who he wasnt log in like 3 years too, he didnt remember a single thing about this acc, exept he had this acc in friend list from his another acc, with this he talked to support, and they gave him access
he prob had a credit or debit card he used on the account before
Nothing is safe in CS or steam… I got scammed, nothing happened with him and he’s still scamming!
My question is, couldnt Steam just see the IP or the computer information or whatever else to track the hacka? You could change your PC or IP but there has to be some sort of way considering even if you changed your IP, the area of those 2 IPs is still the same. Any cybersec andies that can explain?
AYO lemme hold a Souvenir Dragon Lore real quick
Big W informative video and W for those animations. Really good interesting video here from him. At least respectfully handled the situation in the end.
What if HFB was the hacker
Nah
Who the hell drinks water like this guy? Love the content, drinks water like a maniac
It did not happen often that valve copied skins, right? I got a copied desert eagle blaze.
Love when you take someones insane high effort video and post the ENTIRE THING TO YOUR VOD CHANNEL
If his inventory was worth 2mil it wouldve been 4mil now probably
maybe HFB himself faked to be a thief trrying to fake being HFB to get the steam support changing the password knowing that they would have to reimburse the lost items and create money from nothing
if i was the hacker I wouldve hired someone to make a script for me to sell all of the skins and transfer the money
Hiding your eyes does not make you anonymous lmao
"smell me"
technically it isnt the job of the police to track down the thief, if they were to sell the items on the steam market then it would have been sorted relatively quickly, however selling through third party websites means that the thief only made great enemies with the third party sites who made the mistake in letting the thief sell HFB's items, so if they want to send out their mafia to track down the thief and get their money back, they're welcome to do so, it's not the governments or the police's business when dirty money is stolen
"idiots" :D love it
Skinport then had crypto cash out
Big W to buff
Why did it sound like he was with the thiefs actions? trying to make us empathize with the thief saying "could you sleep? could you see? 5 RESTLESS NIGHTS. inside the vault"
Why are so many people complaining about ohne when he stops the vid? I mean just watch it alone when you want to watch without pausing. Watching a streamer reaction is his words on the topics
why does ohne drink water like he’s afraid it’s poison?
Original video ?
And a lot more easy to sell off skins and wash the money then jewelry or other IRL items.
10:23 one night after scoping out a rooftop spot many years ago, i climbed the scaffolding at night and was exploring the roof, when i found an open door on the utility room. After going down a ladder, my buddy and i made our way down a few flights of stairs, completely unaware of where we were. After reaching the bottom of the stairs and rounding the corner i knew exactly where we were... at the back of the bank, looking down towards the front entrance.
today on thing's that never happened!

isnt 30d tradeban now?
14?
@@deceas66ed i changed my password last week on
my smurf and it say 30d without buy or sell on the market
Also the word is sonder
just quit buying them... and it won't matter.
But why didn't he scam himself. Resell on not allowed 3th party sites get quick cash. And then report to steam with a chance he gets the items back. With only the new buyer in trouble. Cause he's not allowed to even buy it from 3th party?? Huh??
Nah that’s so Ai created
i cant understand why valve took the money from the people.. if the guy with millions in his acocunt got scammend seems kinda unfair. I know the sites took the burden on them but still valve choose the people not the guy who is partly a fault.
This sort of thing has happened before and valve has had a stance where off platform trades are done at your own risk.
if HFB did something to get scammed I would 100% agree with you, but he had full account security, didn't click on any sketchy links, the hackers got in because steam support let them in. In this case steam is to blame, so they get the skins back to the owner but there was no chance of them ever helping the people that bought the skins because it was done on third party platforms which steam openly does not support. If the skins were all sold on the steam market then ya steam would have refunded all players who bought them, but that isn't what happened.
honestly bro I was ab to watch this whole video but I can NOT watch you drink like that
understandable hopefully your day isnt ruined now

Also, possible controversial opinion here maybe, but stealing from a saudi prince is fair - notl ike he worked for his money, its ill gotten blood cash.
spicey yum yum
Imagine having that much money on an account and not using 2FA LOL
Steam support can and will bypass 2fa if they believe you are trying to recover your own account

Not the man that gives thieves ideas but, "Selling them at 50% to have the fastest exit strategy." Really? Forgoing a million?
Nah... Why not...
1. Get inside the vault.
2. Wait until the trade ban was lifted.
3. Instantly trade the entire inventory to hos own account so he has them forever.
4. To avoid trackability send the skins over to a brand new account he made again because sure the original guy could see the original trade to the thief but he can't see the trade between the thief and the thiefs new account. Only Valve can track such things, but to their knowledge the original guy is messing about and since the skins are gone Valve isn't going to send him back free 2 mil.
So yes he would have been CAUGHT this way but he would have 2 mil instead of 1 and he would still get away with it.
Again not to be THAT guy be we are talking another mil being lost here, if I'm gonna break the law I'm gonna maximise, not risk life altering stuff for a half ass job. 🤷♂️😂🤣
TLDR; Peasants thought they could steal from a billionare and failed.
If you cant protect something you dont deserve to own it. Been like that since the start of time. Some people got more money than brains. Respect to the "hackers" and hope that billionaire keeps losing. People like him are the reason skins are so expensive, like all collectors a good 90% dont even like nor really care about what they are collecting.
Brother, I can't fathom how braindead this comment is
- HFB has just as much protection on his steam account as I, and the rest of the world does. His account fell victim to social engineering (it's 100% valve's fault)
- Skins are expensive because of simple economics - supply and demand
- It would be stupid for a billionaire to spend their time researching / trading / buying CS skins solely to make a profit. Obviously the skins were being collected for being top tier rare / low float.
- It's none of our business what he does with his collection or any of his money.
"respect to the hackers" is such a robinhood mentality.
the youtuber is known to be really misleading and giving incorrect info
