Myself, and so many others have spent 10 years playing this game. 10 years. About 1/8th of our estimated lifespan. I am so sad to see it go, but SO GOD DAMN HAPPY IT HAPPENED! Thank you CSGO for always being there for me and so, so, so many others.
It's absolutely crazy. I've been playing Counter-Strike since it was a beta Half-Life mode. It blows my mind to see where it's gone today. Looking forward to many more years!

It's really touching, I'm 30 years old now and I've watched all these matches. While watching the video I realized that I had forgotten these exciting and beautiful memories, even though it's a game, I forgot that it gives us many beautiful moments and excitement. Thank you.

Nearly 32 now and it makes me very sentimental to see this video cause I nearly know that my CS time is coming to an end. Life is changing the older you get, focusing more on other things in life. I will never forget the hours I spent on this game, not going to school cause of ESL Gathers, surf maps, being admin on jailbreaking servers, watching alternate attax playing on IEM etc., pretending to my parents that i was in school untill they locked up my gaming room just to spend hours searching for the key (i found it always). I will never forget the memories I made in this game. It was a big part in my life and it will always be. ❤
Counter-Strike is truly one of a kind when it comes to the FPS scene. My journey started with CS 1.4 and its crazy to think all these years later we are still playing Counter-Strike.
1.4 wasn’t even a thing really….it went from 1.3 to 1.5. I’m pretty sure 1.4 only lasted a couple of weeks maybe a month tops. I played the original 1.3 but didn’t have my own PC until 1.5.
So many sleepless nights of surfing and making friends with such amazing people. The comp games are unrivaled, so much nostalgia. I love this game, thank god it existed when I was alive.

@@Trommisen1 ye but the thing that im fucking furious about is the fact that the game doesn't exist anymore, there was no reason for them to completely remove the game off of steam and shut down the servers, at least until cs2 is actually playable. cs is the only game i ever really played and i absolutely despise cs2 to the point where id rather play valorant. fuck valve and their greedy asses.
This literally moved me to tears. Such a long history and I’m so damn happy I was here to notice it all. Ever since I was 10, almost 10 and a half years ago my passion started for cs and rapidly skyrocketed. I saw the first csgo major when I had a pc which couldn’t even run steam. I always wanted to play csgo but my specs were wayyy to low. All until my dad got me a decent laptop and I started playing csgo on it in 2015. I was so damn sad my dad didn’t take me to the 2015 Cluj Napoca major, the only one that happened in my home country of Romania but lived and played on. This really makes a grown man cry to see csgo, a game we could all say which ended up on this video that has raised us and was a huge part of our childhood. Even now as a 20 year old I still play sometimes but, in the recent memories as I started university and work, don’t really have time for it anymore sadly but I’ll always be part of the community until forever

grew up watching csgo, way back from when i was a kid. Used to play cs 1.6 with csgo mods and tried to recreate tournament moments, one of the happiest times.

I'm still so angry that they didn't seperate the games. Their argument was probably that they didn't want the 1.6 vs. CSS split in the community happening again, but if they just transfered the skins across both games, it would benefit them greatly and give us, the players, the opportunity to play CSGO again. I can't believe my last CSGO experience was a hide n' seek map. They have to make CSGO available to play.

@@Trommisen1 ye but the thing that im fucking furious about is the fact that the game doesn't exist anymore, there was no reason for them to completely remove the game off of steam and shut down the servers, at least until cs2 is actually playable. cs is the only game i ever really played and i absolutely despise cs2 to the point where id rather play valorant. fuck valve and their greedy asses.
This literally moved me to tears. Such a long history and I’m so damn happy I was here to notice it all. Ever since I was 10, almost 10 and a half years ago my passion started for cs and rapidly skyrocketed. I saw the first csgo major when I had a pc which couldn’t even run steam. I always wanted to play csgo but my specs were wayyy to low. All until my dad got me a decent laptop and I started playing csgo on it in 2015. I was so damn sad my dad didn’t take me to the 2015 Cluj Napoca major, the only one that happened in my home country of Romania but lived and played on. This really makes a grown man cry to see csgo, a game we could all say which ended up on this video that has raised us and was a huge part of our childhood. Even now as a 20 year old I still play sometimes but, in the recent memories as I started university and work, don’t really have time for it anymore sadly but I’ll always be part of the community until forever

I could come up with more, but my heart just wouldn't handle it, as I've been playing CS:GO since I was 4, and now I'm 14. It has brought me joy for a whole 10 years. Most importantly, not only with its gameplay but also with bugs, fun with friends, memes, and the workshop. It entertained me in many ways, but I hope, no, I don't hope, I want the developers to hear me and KEEP CS:GO IN STEAM, as they did in previous versions. I ask you to bring back CS:GO, even if there are many restrictions, just bring it back. 😭😭🙏
I have played it for only 3 years (2020-2023) and I'm 14 now, although I'm still terrible and never went past s4, I'm glad it came into my life. thank you csgo, I will always remember you.

grew up watching csgo, way back from when i was a kid. Used to play cs 1.6 with csgo mods and tried to recreate tournament moments, one of the happiest times.
Im gonna miss this game's strange unique charm and atmosphere, ill never forget it for all its glory whether it was for all the good and the bad or all the fun memories we made through out the years. glad i could experience this game's legacy from start to finish. ~GOODBYE CSGO🧡

I'm still so angry that they didn't seperate the games. Their argument was probably that they didn't want the 1.6 vs. CSS split in the community happening again, but if they just transfered the skins across both games, it would benefit them greatly and give us, the players, the opportunity to play CSGO again. I can't believe my last CSGO experience was a hide n' seek map. They have to make CSGO available to play.
