The only receiver who he overthrew so far in this film study series is Bernard in Vanderbilt. The only time Milroe threw a pass to the flats that was questionable was the GA game to Jam. Milroe scored 3 passing TDs by throwing to the backs in the flats. Like I said up unto this point where we are in this film study series Milroe has shown that he has the ability to be what coaches want in a QB consistently executing at a high level and rate. This season up to game 5 Milroe has been the most consistently executing player on our entire team. Not ball licking just stating what the film shows. Knowing yall, yall would say that the the throw he threw high to Dippre in the Vandy game was a high overthrow but in reality that was the only place he could put it for his receiver to have a chance to catch it. Just watch the film studies my guy. I promise you your perspective on Milroe up to game 5 will change.

      @ I don’t make excuses for Milroe I just tell you all from what he’s seeing. I don’t heavily criticize other players it just that when you keep seeing the same player not execute their job as a fellow teammate and/or coaching perspective it’s get frustrating, because you know that they know better and have been coached better. I didn’t heavily criticize Ty I was just putting emphasis on the differences and why Milroe was QB1. Because of all the Ty is better than Milroe and should take over of Milroe’s spot as QB1. I’ve been clearly stating that the film shows it don’t matter who the QB is if we can’t block. So far doing our film studies; the film shows Milroe to be one of the best QBs in college football. And when you got defenders in your face it don’t matter if your WRs are open or not. I’ve seen times where the WRs were not open as well. Football is the ultimate team sport if everybody don’t get their assignment completed then we are not successful. Truth is up to Game 6 against SC which we are breaking down right now Milroe has been the most consistently executing player on the offense. And you just gave me a good idea. I’ll break down our offense last season and Washington’s 2023 playoff run so we can compare and the contrast Milroe and the Coaching staff 🐘💯🐘💯🐘🔥🔥💯🐘💯🔥

    Now do this same exact thing with Michael Penix at Washington last year, and you'll see a MASSIVE difference in snap to release. 3.5 secs to 2 seconds.

    • @ThaTrueShowtime
      @ThaTrueShowtime  Місяць тому +3

      Naw my guy; it has ntn do with the QBs or Coaching. It’s all about the concepts being called and your O-Line play. Milroe has only threw Playaction pass plays around the 3.5 - 4.5 sec mark. Damn near all his passes have been out his hands way before the 2.5 sec mark depending on the concept called and execution from our receivers. In this game we couldn't even execute the mesh concept which takes about 2.5 - 3 secs to execute. If I look at the Michael Penix game film I’m pretty sure that they were calling more short, quick passing plays than what they were calling at this point of the season. That will be our next series Once we get done with Milroe. We will look at Penix and Coach Deboer 2023 playoff run in comparison.

    • @pinkford2
      @pinkford2 Місяць тому

      Comparing Penix to Milroe is comparing apples to oranges. Michigan did to Milroe the same as they did to Penix. Milroe is a good good college quarterback but he is not Penix. Bamas offense is too quarterback dependent. If quarterback has a bad day so goes the team and no one else picks up the slack. They only win if the quarterback does well and is not pressured.

    • @ThaTrueShowtime
      @ThaTrueShowtime  Місяць тому +3

      @ I wouldn’t be comparing Penix to Milroe because they are 2 different players. What I will be comparing is the offensive pass concepts called and O-line play. Our team success is not depended on the QB play; it’s dependent of the O-line. Every offense lives and dies by the O-line so your OC have to call concepts and plays to offset the inconsistencies of your O-line. in the games so far that we have film studied our O-line has been the root of all our successes and losses

    100% sometimes even most of the time you have to run to set up the pass especially the deep ball. Start getting those safeties to creep up. Many problems this year on offensive. O line was one but the biggest was the play calling was horrendous. Absolutely awful. Maybe this type of play calling would have worked better with a different qb that could consistently read defenses and read them faster but as a play caller you have to call plays that gives your players on the field the best opportunity. Milroe is a great athlete and runner with great arm strength and good accuracy most of the time but very average at reading the field.

Our LT got beat and lost the battle on the edge; our RT is not in the proper position to prevent the edge rusher from getting off his block going left or right. As you can see with Milroe stepping into the pocket, he got hit by the guy that your RT is supposed to block. A quarterback can not make any moves until he has completed his 3-step or 5-step dropback because he is going through his progression during this time. In a perfect world, your quarterback is supposed to release the football on the final step of his dropback, if a receiver is open.

      @ThaTrueShowtime  28 днів тому

      @@Johnporkjr9 no his pocket awareness was no way near bad at all. As QB it’s your job to stand inside of the pocket and throw the ball to your receivers; it’s your o-line’s job to protect you. While a QB is executing his drop back he is in the process of going through his progression, on the last step of his drop back he should be setting his feet and releasing the ball in the direction of the desired receiver. Meaning that during this time he is solely trusting his O-line to do their job in protecting him a minimum of 4 secs which we have not done one time on a traditional drop back but 1 time up onto this point in the season as we just finished the Vandy game breakdown. If he takes his eyes from downfield and worry about where the pressure is coming from during his processing time it’s a high possibility that he misses reads and throws that he would’ve made if he kept his eyes down field. Most times when his pocket were collapsing he stood strong and completed dots as he supposed to do on pass plays. And when he could run and get out the way he did so with no problem. On all plays I breakdown everybody’s individual job, why this happened, why that happened, why this couldn’t happened and vice versa. No sir. That's not what the film shows my guy. The film shows that our O-line was consistently getting beat in one on one battles. There are no protection calls for one on ones. The most the OC can do is block the TE and RB which they have done many of times and our O-line still got beat blocking 6 on a 4-man rush. Milroe as a passer up until game 5 against Vanderbilt (the game we just finished studying, he has shown us that those myths that he can't read defenses or is a slow processor are false. He’s still 100% correct in all read options and RPOs; when the o-line does their job and even when they don't he is very decisive and quick to get the ball out.

    He won't do crap in the NFL unless he shows drastic improvement.

      @@jonfillingim6928 watch the film studies and you will see that Milroe is everything that you want in a QB.

      @ nope. He’s limited on anything under twenty yards, can’t set protections, has awful mechanics, can’t read a defense, isn’t elusive as a runner, and divides the fans base. You can be a fan all you want, but he’s a horrible QB.

      @ that’s not what the film shows up to this point in the season buddy. Shows the reason why he’s still top 5 prospect as a QB in the draft

      @ if he goes top 5, it will be a bigger miracles than the one in Music City. He’s a RB. If you take him before round 5, you should get fired.

      @ I’ve watched him regress. His finest moment was against a hapless OU team. He threw awful picks and quit on a tackle. He’s not what any serious team wants. If there’s a Washington Generals equivalent in the NFL, he will be their first choice.

    A lot of assuming on your part

      Naw no assuming. I literally breakdown the offense using pure football logic from all my years of playing the game I love since 4 years.

      That we can't fully say because the O-line have been playing the most inconsistent out of everybody. On run and pass plays. Sure our OC didn't help us out in spots, but majority of the bad execution came from our O-line so far in this film study series.
