Thanks for this video. Your reviews are always on point. Just when I needed it for setting up my ES3.
I can't believe it's taken me 3 years to find this.. this is an AWESOME product.. a retrospective "Gold" award I think
Now it is getting really interesting. Excellent presentation.
I know its very tempting - I must say that its really a great setup with the Silent Way software suite - outstanding synth madness - imagine - no envelopes or LFOs, programmable patch bay and full Silent Way control and you are almost at programmable modular!
SO great for time syncing live performances and sequences. As close as you'll ever get to presets with the great sound of eurorack.
Cool. Looking forward to lots of modular gear reviews on sonicstate now. :)
Great video! Glad to see Expert Sleepers getting some love and DELIGHTED Sonic State is highlighting modular stuff now!
Just be careful Nick! Touching bus boards with the case powered up is a no-no mate!
*bbbuuuzzzttt - pop*
THIS IS THE SHIT! Your reviews are the BEST, as well!
This is sooo cool!
@thermalmaximum
Well I was mainly referring to the content in this video (hooking it up to a DAW via midi etc.) but thanks for the advice nevertheless!!
oh...my...god...
phatty plus this expert sleepers module would be the best partner EVER
im going to get a doepfer minicase straight away!
Holy crap, I had no idea this was possible.
Thats awsome. Now i can make a better use of my MS 20 with Cubase!?
Interesting
WOW holy shit this is cool
I want to get into modular synthesis, but it's so gaddam complicated. I have absolutely no idea what is going on in this video. You should do a "Modular Synthesis 101" series. That would be great
100 £, right? That's about 150 €, this sounds better than any midi/cv interface that only allows one voltage control and trigger, or expensive analog sequencers. Too bad it looks a bit tricky to install and setup.
I dunno... I mean, why would you buy analogue gear if you control it via VST in the end? Like.. for me, it's 50% on the sound and 50% on the feeling. MAYBE even more on the feeling of analog equipment- plus: the feeling is not unimportant for the resulting sound. So, yeah.. cool idea and great software, but at least for me it's a bit pointless...
I hate seeing Korg Monopolys. The reason why is becasue back in 1998 I took a fully working Monopoly and actually threw it in the skip (thats trash). Boy do I regret that.
In regards this Im suer its excellent. My concern is that instead of playing I may end up endlessly tweaking software again (just like a VST). Im trying to get away from that.
@Voyagermusix Personally it's 100% the sound for me, so anything to make that easier is a-ok for me. The expert sleepers plugins have ugly looking GUIs though.
Good review. Very cool software. Incredibly horrible interface.
Way to much of a faff around for me to use this. I make music, this would totally get in my way.
