    • @KramerPacer2
      @KramerPacer2 9 років тому

      Toni Sattler this lesson is all about abdominal muscle support - and the abdominal muscle you feel over the solarplexus is the six-pack-muscle, or m. rectus abdominis. this muscle moves from your sternum and ribs to your pelvis. imagine a string getting tightened from your sternum to your pelvis. there is no way it is tight on the solarplexus region and loose on the lower belly region. so it is alright.

    Great tips. Thank you. i have problems. I squeeze my solar plexus too much in the high notes and it creates a big strain in my throat. My question is: how is it possible to tension the abdominal muscles and backmuscles / sides, and let the solar plexus kind of relaxed, and soft. i mean: when I use my back and side and abdominal muscles I also tension my solax plexus, it goes all together, it is such a difficult thing for me when I sing in my higher range.

    Either I’m not locating it properly or it’s going in as I sing. It goes out on a tss but the longer I sing the more it seems to go in, I don’t understand

  • @petersoar2886
    @petersoar2886 4 роки тому

    Is this because a tight solar plexus obstructs the free movement of the rib cage, which needs to be relaxed and not squishing the lungs?
    Also, i wish i had been applying this tech for the last 10-12 years. It’s like a missing link. Getting a lot of milage out of it. Thank you!
    I can see how this might be something that someone would accidentally get right and therefore pick up singing far easier than others. It’s a really simple thing to focus on that fixes a lot of other things automatically.

    when i pop out the solar plexus in the exhale i feel that my abdomen is quite tensed, with the sensation spreading thru the lower parts of my body around the hips. is this normal?

      Hi Mayonico! The upper abdominals should not be tense. The lower body engagement is normal and positive. However, it should be subtle - never aggressive or forced. This episode might also be good to watch: “Singing Breath Of Triumph!” - Quick Singing Tips Ep. 13. We hope this helps! -NYVC

    Should my solar plexus area feel 'harder' when it pops out? I'm finding that to get the 'pop out' effect I'm having to engage the lower belly muscles to push instead of just relaxing all my muscles and 'releasing' the air

      Hi Ci! Gentle engagement of the low abdominals is the right path! -NYVC
