The landscaping reflects your hard work, looking good! Speaking of plants that are good repelling mosquitoes, a bat over an 8-hour mid-summer night, would consume 8,000 mosquitoes per night, or more than 2.9 million mosquitoes in a year, or nearly 117 million mosquitoes over a 40-year lifespan - just for one bat! time for some bat houses!
The veggies and herbs in the raised beds that are close to the kitchen - you have a protégé garden😊. The landscaping reflects both of your hard work and is looking good🪴
Landscaping makes a house look like a home. It makes it look warm, in inviting. Yours is absolutely beautiful! I like the pots because you can change them around, and plant seasonal things in them. I laughed so hard when Ruger jumped into the big planter!! I'm sure it was much more funny to us than to you all. Sure didn't see that coming. 🤣🤣 You should make a short out of that clip. 😂 Great job you two!! I love you. ❤❤ God bless.
Hi, Andrew and Tiffany! The metal raised beds look awesome. I love the whiskey barrels for the trees. I raise my tomatoes on my deck in whiskey barrels. Marigolds are good mosquito repellent plants. I plant them all around my tomato plants. The marigolds protect the tomatoes from harmful insects as well. Occasionally I see hummingbirds in the marigolds. And they are very heat resistant.
You really are developing a little piece of heaven right here on earth for you and your family❤ and who needs a teenage kid when you got Ruger? He could be more of a handful😅
I like it ALL! 💜💜💜I am also enjoying watching you twos' onscreen teamwork evolve and Tiffany becoming much more comfortable talking and being in front of the camera besides just her cooking. Poor Ruger, he thought he had more new play areas LOL...those innocent eyes. Everything looks really nice and sooo self gratifying!👍👍👍
We're trying celery this year, too! First time, so we'll see how it goes. It's funny how Vevor is SUCH a versatile company with all the cool stuff they have! I'm going to look for those planter boxes!
I love the landscaping you two have been working on! It really makes a big difference in the way your house looks, makes it look more homey! Good thing you found VeeVore for all your outdoor projects!
Another great plant is rosemary. Plant it at the corner of a walk way where people can brush against it and spread the fragrance. Also great for cooking.
That's a nice Slice of Heaven you have made their! You can definitely see that Ruger really does love his sandbox, that seems to be a pretty good idea too.
Hi Andrew and Tiffany 🤗 The landscaping is beautiful. Looks like a professional job and design. 👍 Ruger jumping in the raised bed right in front of you is hilarious 🤣😂 Love that dog‼️🥰
Hi Tiffany and Andrew, I love those planters from V Vore myself and I have to say I like V Vore as a company to deal with they have anything and everything you would want. I agree with you your dump trailer is really paying off. Your going to have you deck, patio area look like paradise. Love you guys!! ❤️❤️👍👍🇨🇦
Hey guys... Loved the new landscape series.. That whole outside area is really coming together... I know you're said something about mosquito repelling plants... I would suggest a wax myrtle bush/tree ... I know that they have a mild oder, that is pleasant, and does seem to keep the pesky bugs away really well.. they can be trimmed and should do great in your area...
Get some night blooming jasmine to put around social areas. You will thank yourself if you do. Just sitting around enjoying company and then BAM, the sweet smell of jasmine is in the air. Its awesome.
Looking great:)))) You can save loads of money sprouting the seeds in your hydroponics system, when big enough out for some time to adapt to natural light, and when strong enough plant out. Possibilities are endless!! You might put small leaf basil ( don't know English name for it, here it is used to repel mosquitoes) and rosemary. As for veggies ( I know you love veggies lol), you can plant some radish and all sorts of kale which is also very decorative, many flower farmers put it in arrangements. I will certainly enjoy watching your "porch garden" develop!
I bought a little pickup truck basically for the sole reason of moving dirt and gravel for projects. Buying in bulk is so much more worth it and saves a ton of time
Rosemary works quite well for mosquitoes and grows pretty big and smells great. also get 5 gallon buckets and let water sour with mosquito dunks I did that on the four coners of house and then all over property. I dont have mosquitoes anymore. its not instant it takes a cycle or two but then they are gone. and I just top off the water and add a dunk every 6 momths or so.
can I give one more tip for these trees in florida. paint lime on the treebase up to the branches. Every tree ive done that too in my yard has been way healthier. I guess it keep disease and bug as well as keep the bark from getting sunburn and allows more energy into the fruit.
Lemon Grass is available in Wellborn at Hearthstone Gardens.. It will be for sale at the Scarecrow pageant on October 14. Love the landscaping-y'all did an awesome job!
Great looking results!! I didn't check all of the comments to see if anyone else caught the omission of fabric or filter cloth between the rocks and that great compost. Down the road you are going to lose a lot of soil and rocks as the water washes the soil down into the rocks. I was holding my breath as you approached the beds to add the soil, saying NO! NO! DON"T DO IT 🙈....LAY DOWN SOME FABRIC!!!.....you didn't, and you dumped it!! 😟I was thinking that sandy ground would give you some pretty good drainage that you probably wouldn't need the rocks in the bottom. You guys are doing great! HAPPY TRAILS!!
Wow, it’s looking really nice :-) Ruger, jumping in the flower bed was pretty funny :-) lol the only thing I would say is putting lavender that close to the pool could be not a good idea. I only say that because being as I am allergic to bees if you have friends over and they’re highly allergic to bees, you’re gonna have a lot of bees not only in your plant, but buzzing around and ending up in your pool. Just a thought for you:) tfs and God bless:)
Bro, I hope that dirt isn’t to “hot” for your plants, definitely add some dolomite lime or bone meal to those elephant ears. Save some of that dirt for a spring project away from your house, plant a bag of old school crab boil in it and thank me later. Great job, probably going to be buying a couple of those planters!
I have planted citrusp in pots, and have some friends who have done the same thing. We have learned that it's not a good idea for a few reasons. One is that Citrus just needs more soil, so it will always look sick. However if it does not look sick, it's probably because the roots went through the bottom of the pot into the Earth below. And then you can't move it if you want it then you would have been better just to plant it in the ground in the first place. Also, the tree is hungry and will drop the soil level over a few years, and then if you add soil to the top then you will bury the root flare, which will again make the tree sick.
I have been doing this for decades, I usually get 8+ years out of a large pot and citrus before it becomes root bound. They always produce well if fertilized and topped off with fresh compost as needed. It's also very convenient in our area that does get frost, I've lost every one I have planted in the ground to freezing temps, even when covering them. The pots allow me to put them in my shop on those cold nights. A $20 plant that gives me fruit twice a year for 8+ years is a good investment to me.
@@TKCL very interesting. I'm in Tucson AZ at 3500 ft, and we get freezing temps down to 28-30 regularly in the winter, and I cover the potted citrus, but my in ground citrus is fine after it's tree-sized. The outer leaves get burnt but the tree does fine in the cold, but the potted trees always look distressed, or at best they're fine but not flourishing. It's interesting that our experience is opposite yours, but we're comparing tropical vs desert so no surprises there. I'm happy to hear it works well for you.
You’re turning your house into a home with that landscaping. Did you design the rock border to fit the planting boxes because they fit perfectly. You should do some nice fall decorating.
All right I'm thinking about putting in some raised beds this winter so I need to know where that compost place is and borrow your dump trailer for a day😁
@@TKCL My house in Monticello should be done by Thanksgiving so we will be neighbors. I hope we can meet up after I move hoping you can give me some pointers. I also have a boat and am looking forward to fishing and boating in that area. I grew up in SW Ga but left when I was 19 to go make a living as you know opportunities in those areas are slim and like I told my daughter Daddy do do broke well LOL
Looking awesome folks. You didn't disappoint. Are you going to incorporate drip irrigation, or add daily watering to your ever increasing list of chores? (Hint hint)
Looks great! Not sure if you were aware, but at least some, maybe all, varieties of elephant ear are toxic to dogs. If you’re concerned about the dogs getting into the plant, you may want to research the variety you have to be sure.
Love it....just hope the grasshoppers don't eat your lettuce and plants in that particular planter...might draw the deer and rabbits too, they love things like that
Plant lemon grass when yall do more planting. Good for keeping mosquitoes away and other uses. Lol ...... as im typing this Tiffany says lemon grass. 🤣
Only recently started watching your content. Great stuff. Now that I know you're in my area, where did you pick up that compost? I'm new to Perry and am always looking for where to pick stuff up? Do they do wood chips and other materials too?

Great seeing Tiffany on the video. The landscaping looks really neat. the Husband Manager did a great job.
Thank you so much, yeah the boss was on me 😂
Well designed and executed!!! Looks great folks
Thank you sir
Looks fantastic. You’re going to love your lime trees! Fresh limes are awesome to have access to and can be used for so many different things.
I've always had them and love them, but that 5 days below freezing last year killed all of my citrus.
Wonderful. You guys are killing it! Like all the easy maintenance you designed into it.
Me too, I don't have time for another chore
