- "Welcome to Kitchen by Muneeba! Today, we’re making a delicious and crispy Fried Bhindi Masala. This spicy okra fry is a fantastic side dish that pairs perfectly with rice or chapati. It’s quick, easy, and bursting with flavors.
Ingredients:
500g fresh bhindi (okra), washed and sliced
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 green chilies, chopped
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon amchur (dry mango powder)
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Oil for frying
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them sizzle for a few seconds.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Stir in the green chilies and chopped tomatoes, cooking until the tomatoes are soft and well combined.
- Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the sliced bhindi (okra) and cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the bhindi is tender and slightly crispy.
- Sprinkle garam masala and amchur powder over the bhindi. Mix gently to coat evenly.
- Cook for a few more minutes until all the flavors are well combined and the bhindi is crispy.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or chapati.
