Is this type of thread sketching with added painting washable? I would love to make a quilt block like this, but it would have to be washable.

Hi Marsha - painting with Inktense is best kept for art items that don't need washing. Inktense will definitely fade a bit after a couple of washes. To make it colourfast you'd need to paint with permanent dyes.
