Oh first I had no idea what you were doing, thread painting, yeah! But This? Then listening to your lovely naration... no wonder you took this on. You are obviously intelligent, brave, resourseful and visionary! So lovely to hear your process. Humble, delightful, inspiring! 💗🌺💗

Goodness me, Katherine! Thank you so much for your lovely comments. They mean a lot to me. This picture is getting such a positive response that I'm learning to like it now, after all the troubles. :)

It's GLORIOUS! This video is everything I had hoped to see more of from this channel: architectural linework with a pen-like feel, the suggestion of textures and details without the need to get explicit (the economy of line is truly enviable, even though the work is quite dense, just right for the medium), and a discussion of problems and troubleshooting.
Anyone can put up a finished work from within their comfort zone, and while impressive or inspirational, that's of little practical utility to the viewer. Struggle and perseverance lead to growth, that's worth watching.

Thank you so much, Nick, for your kind words! People like you make the effort of producing these things worthwhile-and I didn't even mention the computer problems I had editing the movie (haha!). I hope to bring you more of these urban thread sketches.

what a nice project! It is nice to hear that you too sometimes run into things that are sometimes inexplicable. After that, if you continue anyway, you will enjoy the result even more! 👏👏🏅 thanks for sharing

So glad you persevered, as it is fabulous. Also thank you for your insight into your broken thread problem, as I am about to take on some free motion machine embroidery onto some heavier fabric. At least if I encounter the same problem, I won't have the head scratching when nothing works.

Excellent! Glad my problems help others potentially avoid the same thing! Have fun!
