My best character is in act 1 hell and has run into entire areas she can't kill (light sorc). Everything on my account might add up to an Ist, mostly I have Um and below and a pile of Pgems I mean to trade this week.

It's worth noting, since long swords are very common, you might want to use the cube recipe to add sockets instead of using up a Larzuk quest (1 Ral Rune + 1 Amn Rune + 1 Perfect Amethyst). It has a 50% chance of having less than 4 sockets, but you can keep doing it with new long swords until you get a 4os. Your Larzuk quest might be better spent on socketing a unique or set item, or on a more rare item like a Monarch.
I just found an Um rune running nightmare hellforge on my solo selffound WW barb! i feel like i always get the goods when i watch these still after all these years! Keep up the good work!
This is perfect. I don't have any time with a house a kid and another on the way and a busy job so my assassin hasn't even killed meph hell yet. Video is a blessing since I started with a trapsin. Thanks llama !!
Trapsin has been an awesome class for me. Lvl'd with your guide as my main and used it to farm runes for Enigma, Fortitude, HoTO, CTA, (just rolled #3 and got a 6/5/4 :D) and top tier gear for it as well as Druid, Barb and Zon. Once geared its great for farming keys and can MF pretty much anywhere. Just working on that elusive Enigma for it now.. Thanks for all the info dude!
I appreciate the time saving in using chat, but I think that was your only “streamer benefit” was being able to “find” the trades since folks came to you. But the basis for the video made sense and I really appreciate you explaining the break down of runes as well.
yeah this prices you would had to trade several days, especially at the time where made the video. So it still was streamer benefit. People who do not play so much, so they need budged builds still dont have the time to trade all day.
This character is basically my "best" character, the first one I built at launch, now an 87 trapsin. I have limited playtime, so this was a refreshing change of pace from the "mega builds" that I will probably never have time to grind out. I would have liked just a little more explanation at the end for what the next steps are for the character -- does she start chasing a HOTO, CTA, or something else entirely? Where does she go to farm those next steps? In any case, thanks for the video!
I am not a very big expert, but I spent many respecs and created a few assassins before I got the following: - trapsin is not very gear dependent, +skills may do most of the work - and even more important thing is allres, you MUST always have max, if the choice is +skills or allres - choose allres - do not use fade for achieving max allres, i.e. do not learn fade at all, you must always be under BoS buff, it increases mobility and damage so much, so you can live - max the fire blast right after LS and DS, it helps significantly against light immunes (fire-light immunes must be skipped or defeated by low res wand) - do not rely on merc too much, all the videos where merc take care of light immunes imply very high geared merc, also keep in mind that freeze merc destroys bodies, so he reduces your aoe damage, but he helps crowd control, make your choice, I chose freeze anyway because as I said even the might merc without BiS gear will not live too long and will not kill immunes, and some crowd control is helpful - do monitor the lobby, there are A LOT of games where high-level chars give items for free just to empty their chest, I got for free - a couple of bartucs, vipermagi, several insights, trang gloves, aldurs, verdungo, string of ears, que-hegan, almost full gold and mf sets for barb (2x alibabas, skulder, 2x dwraf, 2x nagel, goldwrap, infernos, chances) and many other that I cannot remember (really many, the list above is just a small part), so I literally dressed all my chars in starting gear (+some pieces of BiS) absolutely for free now I never sell uniques or sets, I join such games and drop as much as I can and take what I really need:) also, there are often simply good offers in the lobby - I got my 12/18 torch for pul - as for hoto, cta, enigma, 6 LS claws - they all great but not a must-have, that is just a way to maximize your char if you already have all the gear except this if the question what to get first, the answer is - you cannot affect this:) farm cows for bases, farm travincal for runes, depending on your loot, you will got some of these items earlier, some of them later
@@jordil5469 nope:) possibility to land 5 traps in a second and kite any mob is essential for trapsin, as that highly increases both damage and survivability and fade instead just reduces taken damage, but trapsin should avoid taking damage at all, you have mind blast and cloak to not let monsters to hit you, you just need max allres from gear to avoid oneshots
My push notification for this video said "The Super Bud. . . ." I got a chuckle out of that. Anywho relatively new to your content as I recently got D2R on series x and as a mostly vanilla offline player on the original d2, even runewords are news to me. Trying to hit lvl 99 hardcore and following along with your hardcore summon necro video for pointers. There are alot of people I could watch for d2 info but I find myself coming back to the Llama. Thanks for your time and effort! It endlessly helps people like me who are D2 ignorant. Amazing content!
All caster/spell based characters can be very budget, dual spirits are your bread and butter, a +3 skills blue ammy, a +1 or +2 skill armor( there are so many of them, skin of viper magi is preferred by many for the all res and fcr but there are several other choices), shako if you can afford it, other wise a cheap +2 circlet with some res will do. some random rings with res and stats. you are all set, you can basically tear thru hell with ease. This will work for sorc with most builds, summon necro, trapsin, hammerdin, warcry barb, javezon (1 spirit shield and javelin) and wind druid.
I feel like you did a good job at being pretty honest as far as budget goes. An inexperienced player might pay a bit more since they are less familiar with prices and are more prone to get hosed in a trade lol. But there are TONS of free games and people drop mid grade gear often (mostly junk tho), so a player could check free games for a bit of loot as well. Spirit and insight are easy to make cheap ones. The monarch is the hardest thing to find in that aspect, but you could go lidless or something instead. Shako can be downgraded to any +1 skill helm that are dirt cheap, so really the build has an even more budget setup as well.
if it wasn't so difficult to farm, my favorite budget trap sin start sword - spirit shield - anything really. You can go with 2nd spirit if you can afford it hits every bp, ancients pledge for solid resists, and even splendor freeing up a 2nd ring and more +skills. Chest - stealth (yes even in early mid game, treachery goes to merc before me) belt - deaths belt (2nd most annoying thing to get on this list, gives cbf and 15% res all. and opens up shield slots away from rhyme, especially now that we can upgrade it) gloves - deaths gloves - ias, and reduce poison duration. uniquely useful in nihlithak runs. helm - really anything works here. frw sin circlet probably my favorite. a genaric +3 trap circlet or a tarnhelm type is also solid Boots - anything with good frw and a couple solid resistances ring 1 - 10 fcr + anything ring 2 - something with resists amulet - anything with teleport charges. if it has +traps, life/mana/res or fcr it's better. but really just teleport charges swap - doesn't really matter. tele staff is too slow to use unless it's a staff with high fcr that gets to the 65 breakpoint with just stealth and a ring. You could use a lower resist wand if you wish as well and that'd probably do perfectly fine but not needed. I like to keep my repairs down to just the tele charges if possible. note - this is specifically a key farming build. Most notably something to murder nihlathak with. and to do that safely and quickly it needs a few things 1 - teleport charges in amulet or circlet. tele staff is too slow for a pure run and ignore 99% of mobs. 2 - 65 fcr. this is why I keep stealth. 25 fcr + 10 ring is 35. only need a 30 spirit, easy enough. or 2nd ring and horribad spirit. 3 - some fhr. spirit sword gives 55. that alone is the 5 frame bp which is adequate with the fcr to not get locked out 4 - frw. you're using maybe 2 tele charges per run if played well. 4-5 is doable if you really get in a bind and need to tele over a pack. so you need the frw here to get around quickly and just run past everything without any risk 5 - CBF. this part isn't as mandatory for nihlithak runs as it is for countess which has a lot more mobs that freeze you. but still valuable. especially if you plan to run 2 different keys 6 - trap ias speed - 30 ias gloves and +skills from spirit goes a long ways here. though i'm usually still in a 5 point burst of speed build at this point in ladder. so not as required 7 - adequate mana to clear nihilthaks room without insight from your merc. nihili runs (especially vipers) will melt a merc almost regardless of what he has on this early. 8 - Enough damage to get a kill and set off a corpse explosion chain reaction before cloak of shadows fades. tactic - know the nihlithak maps. their are only a few places you need to teleport to make it a very quick run. DON'T use cloak of shadows until you're about to enter nihlithaks room. Not his floor, but specifically his room. If done properly you're getting to him so quickly, if you cast it on the first floor it won't be off cd before you reach his room (has an internal cd where it won't let you recast it, until the first one has faded. with just a few +skills that cd gets annoying). and things can get dicy. Cast it as you're entering nihilthaks room and set up your 5 lightening sentries and throw out some fireblasts, swap over to 3-5 death sentries as you get one kill, loot and move on. cloak will keep you safe from any ranged mobs, corpse explosions, and vipers until it fades. If the CE chain fails to kill Nihilthak, safe play is to start a new game. but you can walk around the corpses so he doesn't go boom on you. this is a mercless setup. merc's at this point will just die so many times they aren't worth it. An amazing build to get some keys and nihilthak loot to trade with. Especially potent early ladder, far less potent mid/late ladder when keys lose a lot of trading value. outside the teleport amulet/helmet it's basically free. Farming deaths belt will take the longest out of any of these.
Lol I was going to type this. Highest rune I’ve found is a single Fal lol. And I’ve farmed countess so many times. I get better rune drops elsewhere honestly. I notice they drop more regularly if I’m killing lots very quickly.
I generally go for and edge bow and buy +3traps claw x2 and on the switch a +3shadow dis x2. Any 40%ms boots with 20%ias gloves.. all from npcs. You can also keep using the stealth armor or any +1skill. In ammy and rings its pretty much all res or what you find. I used to use kiras guardian for the cbf and ress. Then you can farm cows till you have all the fancy stuff you want. Pd nats armor with 3 15%ias jwl are too good in that case you can just put 1 hardpoint into bos to maximize your traps dmg. Till you reach hell act5 you can just run ryme and spirit sword for good. Sin are good for farming dkeys with no gear. You can trade them for good
How to D2: 1) Make a budget Javazon. 2) Ignore MF. 3) Do 100 Hell Cow runs. You probably get at least a Vex from that. 4) Build a MF Blizz Sorc with the Vex (or whatever rune you got from the 100 cow runs)
@@blazedehart2748 I'll have to let you know once I get to hell but since watching the budget Javazon build I started one yesterday. Leveled from 27 to 41 hosting p8 Chaos runs. Soon as I was able to equip Lore helm (+2) and spirt shard (cnbf and +1) on me. I put insight on merc and things really took off. Other gear was found +1 javelin, umbral disk shield I found during the run (shoulda/coulda used rhyme for more mf), rare 10IAS gloves dropped, I was running Tancreds wierd+boot combo (78%mf). 2 Nagle rings I started with and then I found a goldwrap playing through which gave me 150% MF for chaos runs and I was destroying everything with my carries lagging behind (or laughably dieing in the case of the sorc trying to port in and snag the rune drops!). I've replaced the disk with Ancients Pledge (RalOrtTal from A5 quest) so my resists are solid for Nightmare and probably at least positive in hell. One more level on the way to NMAndy I'll be throwing on my titans (found on barb previously). Also have razortail instash to replace goldwrap but haven't felt need for more dmg yet. Will be making a Peace tonight once I check rune stash.
@@blazedehart2748 bug your merc, if super budget just put any Strength on him. Keep spawning ancients until you just got one lightning immune. Get two of them stuck behind a ridge, kill the one that's coming to you. Let the bugged merc kill the other two. I quess Llama or someone else has tutorials on how to bug him and stuff
Okay, where does one look up trading? At around 10:55 he mentions checking for 10/10 sorc torches, and says he's "looking at a few different ones", but where? I would love to start trading for some better gear, as I have a few mid-to-high runes that I probably won't use, and would rather get more upgrades for my characters!
Very cool, would love to see something like this except focusing more on shopping and just generally spending as little as possible to get something viable. As opposed to starting with a (rather arbitrary) rune value and getting the most you can for that value.
Problem is there's no one answer to "spend as little as possible and get something viable". TBH, the true answer to that would be to make a javzon or hammerdin and don't gear them at all, as they can clear a handful of really good farming spots NAKED. The reason making a build that costs less than an Ist makes sense is because any character capable of farming hell countess should be able to get an ist (or better) within a couple hours of farming. If you can't afford the time to get a character to hell and farm hell countess for 4-6 hours, there's not going to be anything budget enough for you
The truth is, gear prices increase along with build popularity. I was wondering why low rolled atorches are selling for pul/um in the last few days, when it went for lem until a week ago. It makes sense now that I see there's a Mrllama video out.
Dual Spirit, Lore and the class specific runeword armors: - Give +7 to skills, a bunch of res, and FCR - Can be farmed from Hell Countess (except the Monarch, but they drop in the Chaos Sanctuary often enough) - With shopped items in your other slots will let you farm Hell Mephisto, Diablo and Baal.
I play a budget trapsin, shopped 40% atk speed +3 traps claw Mainhand and +3 trap offhand was great. My swap was +2 assassin skills and +3 discipline skill claws. That took me roughly 1 hour to find, didn't even bother trying to find +5 or +6 claws. Weapon block on the claws significantly improved my survivability, it wasn't even close to the previous option which I had been using which was lidless wall and spirit sword.
@@frpayawal Yes, like I said 40% atk speed mainhand with +3 to traps and just a generic +3 traps blue with the swaps giving me +5 for shadow master and burst of speed took me about an hour. It's an easy reset at Anya with burst of speed every few resets. I think maybe I'm not high enough to shop skillmods and +traps at 82, not sure what level you need to be to get both and I don't think you can get +traps AND 40% atk speed AND skillmods for lightning sentry. That said, I did run into a few +3 lightning sentry totem that I passed up, I actually wanted the +traps because it helps the fire blast for lightning immunes because of the lack of infinity. Of course, I have a slower claw [-10] If you got one of the -30 ones you might not need the 40% ias in order to hit 7 frame traps which is pretty nice. With treachery and all my other +skill gear I only needed like 3 points in burst of speed to hit a 7 frame trap laying.
That was me (No0delZ) who mentioned Sazabis. Figured I should defend that position somewhat. The energy, mpk, and integer DR on Lore is nice, but you could in theory waste a socket quest on a Sazabi's helm and make it even better. On top of the lightning/fire resist you could get MF, even more resistances, or drop some sort of rare jewel into it for whatever. Just an overall underrated budget helm that can be had for the low price of a couple of PGems, or more likely free. I think I find at least three or four of them in a given week.
I want to complete Act 5 hell on solo self found first before I start trading. The ancients are murdering me. But this is a nice video to save for later when I start trading. Hope you do javazon and smiter later as they seem to be easy to budget gear with some mid runes.
@@acershaw8442 I also play trapsin. Take it from someone who is a super casual player and in Act 5 hell. If you can do Act 1 Hell, then Act 2 and 3 shouldn't really be a problem for you. Yes Act 3 have a lot of lightning immune but lower res wand or even fire blast works well. You don't need to grind countess to progress. I also grinded countess for a long time but never got anything worthwhile from her, not even a Lem to make a Treachery. Eventually I just moved on and didn't find any problem progressing. Act 4 is the only difficulty spike in hell. Even most of Act 5 is fine when you can comfortably beat Act 4. Only the Ancients are giving me trouble.
@@zhaf wait but dont u spend like a solid minute just to kill a pack of rares without all those upgrades. I grinded a lem and fortunately cubed a picked up monarch to make a spirit. but when i try to progress in act 2 in those it still seems way harder than nm xD. guess my expectations are not set right for hell haha
@@acershaw8442 I totally missed that you had replied. No actually damage is totally fine all the way up to act 5. Lightning/death trapps kill things super fast with the assis of fire blast. For me it's harder to stay alive sometimes than killing stuff. Killing stuff is fast. Staying alive can be tricky at times. And you just learn to not fight the light immune ones. Only freeing Anya is super annoying with ghost shooting lighting everywhere and Ancients can sometimes spawn as light immune that you can't break so you have to keep resetting them. Chaos sanctuary was a bit slow but manageable (I don't farm there). Rush through first half of act 3. The rest is not that hard at all.
2x manalds makes leveling this character so easy when you don’t have the merc with insight to keep mana up. I leveled to 40 with a leaf and fire wave so easy. Don’t need a whole inventory of mana pots anymore. Best leveling experience I have had and I have leveled each class since D2R I am using sazabis helm, no shako People like myself who enjoy leveling multiple toon as much as farming won’t have all the high runes as someone who sticks to one character, these budget videos are perfect for me. Now I need to pick a fav character… maybe trapsin
Didn’t notice how often you were using LR, but I feel this clears well in comparison to my 87 tsin w/ hoto/spirit/treach/ etc. is that where I’m falling short?
This is impossible for me... No one can currently see the games I've made. I have yet had someone join my games this season. Not even free games or itelebaal.
I'm not complaining, i have ok gear for 3-4 chars for now, but even *low* Shako still costs Ist~ on my servers, never found that ppl sell it for um, only ethereal one. So this is where this build ends to me :D Also white monarch without sockets costs Lem, Crown of Thieves is pul or lem, Vipermagi is pul+... good guide overall, but not for my servers :) aaaand i don't have chat for trade with all that good and fair prices that chat provide :)
I’ve found or made all my gear. Made my multiple spirits to get good rolls that only took a few weeks. Then last week I found all my runes for hoto and yesterday I found my first skulders and today I found my first shako and ist. You just need to know where to farm and what act because all the stuff he’s listed I’ve found and have in my bank
Probably will do this on ladder Wish I didn't go hammerdin as first char So hungry for runes now :_( But I did manage to find a um and got the shako for it (before watching video) and got a free ravenfrost and 29res vmagi - the rest of the gear is questionable at best Also found an ist Any suggestions with this ist that would help the hammerdin? Rocking 2xspirit and res ring, ammy and gloves Short of a vex to hoto Enigma is a pipe-dream Could use more fcr
Ive seen you mention in some of your videos that you can change the player count in D2R in solo. ive looked everywhere and cant find out how to do it. is it a chat command like the old "/PlayersX"?
Question, I play Single Mode by myself. No Ladders or anything. What does it mean "If your on a budget?" Are you guys buying item with actual cash? It seems like in Diablo cash is endless...why would you be on a budget.? I'm sure it's a newbie question but I used to play 20 years ago and had all kinds of Mules and all of the runes and items...we used to just download them and use them in single player scenarios. Just asking.
Just an fyi for these budget builds, you should probably adjust your value for Ko and Fal. A single Ko is worth more then a single Fal for trade value.
Nice simulation of what it would take to build a budget assassin, although bringing in chat made it all too easy, so many people bringing you whatever you needed, even if you weren't under paying, everyone was just agreeing to give whatever you wanted.
@@MrLlamaSC i was thinking of getting a bartuc's and dropping a 15IAS/-15% req jewel that I have in it. Would that be worth it or would the spirit still be slightly better?
My problem is having the exact runes people want. I'll have a lot higher runes than what they ask, or a couple levels under it and can't buy anything. I can't find any runes from Lum-Um. Got some Mals and Guls, but I'm not over paying for stuff x.x
U dont even need bartucks, 2 3 trap claws from anya u can shop them in around 30 minutes. 3trap tiara with 2 sockets for resists. Nef lum armor for the resists and fhr Magefists for the fcr and 1to fire blast. If u want to use fade instead of bos just wear the treachery for 2 more skills. U absolutely need a low torch and 3-4 skillers to actually do cows with ease.like theres a sweet spot to get at least 6-7 k light dmg
I'd love to see 2 styles of this kind of build: 1. A 4-6 hour video where you trade online for a real world video without chat 2. Chat to trade with you for the rest of the builds That would give both "here's what it is actually like", and then quicker videos building on that theory
Back in the day, I ran something like 2000 runs of countess + pindle + eldrich and never got Ist or higher. I did eventually get better runes with botting.
Spirit pb, spirit shield/sshield, treachery, +3 mods ammu, shako, arach, aldur boot or ww, rftost, dwarf, arach, blood fist or Trang. XX trap gc and torch. Use fade and dragon flight, should be good for pvm and pvp with the swap gears.
Could you make a guide on how to gear characters on console? There is no real trading on PlayStation. You could chance forums but you have to drop items and hope you’re don’t get scammed. It’s a real grind finding gear.
Love the idea don't get me wrong but what about a self found video on "insert" class here. Thanks. I'm still playing legacy due to my 8 year old laptop and founds are short.
Yeah assassin is very underrated. One of the most powerful characters in the game IMO but at the end I feel traps kind of fall off without infinity. Other builds - hammerdin just demolish it in damage because of light resists. Then why not play a light sorc? Light sorc is stronger.
I actually stopped playing when I got my infinity on sorc and enigma for necro because it turned out I didn't feel like I had any major goals left. A trapper might actually be fun still. I still need a better griffons and would need good claws. Can a gg trapper clear faster than a gg light sorc though? Because if not it just doesn't make much sense to go through. I'm too goal oriented to enjoy games after I've achieved them.
Sorry this video was so long, I will shorten them in the future!!

For Assassin specifically I would have made Spirit in a Long Sword.
The requirements aren't too high, and it's faster than Broad/Crystal Sword.
Do we have any caution for long sword to 4os?
This is what I did. Long sword from nightmare Mausoleum, socketed at Larzuk.

I am not a very big expert, but I spent many respecs and created a few assassins before I got the following:
- trapsin is not very gear dependent, +skills may do most of the work
- and even more important thing is allres, you MUST always have max, if the choice is +skills or allres - choose allres
- do not use fade for achieving max allres, i.e. do not learn fade at all, you must always be under BoS buff, it increases mobility and damage so much, so you can live
- max the fire blast right after LS and DS, it helps significantly against light immunes (fire-light immunes must be skipped or defeated by low res wand)
- do not rely on merc too much, all the videos where merc take care of light immunes imply very high geared merc, also keep in mind that freeze merc destroys bodies, so he reduces your aoe damage, but he helps crowd control, make your choice, I chose freeze anyway because as I said even the might merc without BiS gear will not live too long and will not kill immunes, and some crowd control is helpful
- do monitor the lobby, there are A LOT of games where high-level chars give items for free just to empty their chest, I got for free - a couple of bartucs, vipermagi, several insights, trang gloves, aldurs, verdungo, string of ears, que-hegan, almost full gold and mf sets for barb (2x alibabas, skulder, 2x dwraf, 2x nagel, goldwrap, infernos, chances) and many other that I cannot remember (really many, the list above is just a small part), so I literally dressed all my chars in starting gear (+some pieces of BiS) absolutely for free
now I never sell uniques or sets, I join such games and drop as much as I can and take what I really need:)
also, there are often simply good offers in the lobby - I got my 12/18 torch for pul
- as for hoto, cta, enigma, 6 LS claws - they all great but not a must-have, that is just a way to maximize your char if you already have all the gear except this
if the question what to get first, the answer is - you cannot affect this:)
farm cows for bases, farm travincal for runes, depending on your loot, you will got some of these items earlier, some of them later
@@iKuba42 fade is so much better than burst of speed

Love the vid. Even at a hour. It's was perfect to listen to on my drive home from work.
Omfg I love this style of video, more of these!
I love both style of videos - high and low budget. Keep it up!
Hey. This build looks great. I don't have an Ist, but I have several sandwiches.
Love the channel, this build series looks like its going to be great!

@@johnrizzo9901 Llama mentioned the video on stream and said and go post a comment like "blah blah" so I'm sure others like me just did it literally
if it wasn't so difficult to farm, my favorite budget trap sin start
sword - spirit
shield - anything really. You can go with 2nd spirit if you can afford it hits every bp, ancients pledge for solid resists, and even splendor freeing up a 2nd ring and more +skills.
Chest - stealth (yes even in early mid game, treachery goes to merc before me)
belt - deaths belt (2nd most annoying thing to get on this list, gives cbf and 15% res all. and opens up shield slots away from rhyme, especially now that we can upgrade it)
gloves - deaths gloves - ias, and reduce poison duration. uniquely useful in nihlithak runs.
helm - really anything works here. frw sin circlet probably my favorite. a genaric +3 trap circlet or a tarnhelm type is also solid
Boots - anything with good frw and a couple solid resistances
ring 1 - 10 fcr + anything
ring 2 - something with resists
amulet - anything with teleport charges. if it has +traps, life/mana/res or fcr it's better. but really just teleport charges
swap - doesn't really matter. tele staff is too slow to use unless it's a staff with high fcr that gets to the 65 breakpoint with just stealth and a ring. You could use a lower resist wand if you wish as well and that'd probably do perfectly fine but not needed. I like to keep my repairs down to just the tele charges if possible.
note - this is specifically a key farming build. Most notably something to murder nihlathak with. and to do that safely and quickly it needs a few things
1 - teleport charges in amulet or circlet. tele staff is too slow for a pure run and ignore 99% of mobs.
2 - 65 fcr. this is why I keep stealth. 25 fcr + 10 ring is 35. only need a 30 spirit, easy enough. or 2nd ring and horribad spirit.
3 - some fhr. spirit sword gives 55. that alone is the 5 frame bp which is adequate with the fcr to not get locked out
4 - frw. you're using maybe 2 tele charges per run if played well. 4-5 is doable if you really get in a bind and need to tele over a pack. so you need the frw here to get around quickly and just run past everything without any risk
5 - CBF. this part isn't as mandatory for nihlithak runs as it is for countess which has a lot more mobs that freeze you. but still valuable. especially if you plan to run 2 different keys
6 - trap ias speed - 30 ias gloves and +skills from spirit goes a long ways here. though i'm usually still in a 5 point burst of speed build at this point in ladder. so not as required
7 - adequate mana to clear nihilthaks room without insight from your merc. nihili runs (especially vipers) will melt a merc almost regardless of what he has on this early.
Farming deaths belt will take the longest out of any of these.
damn, today i learned i dont even get enough high runes to classify as being super budget. im like rock bottom budget damn
Time for you to farm the Countess. Or nightmare Meph since he coughs up plenty of those items.
@@WPFreeinternet i regularly farm hell all acts so idk how much going down a difficulty would help
just keep playing. Its not a race.
Lol I was going to type this. Highest rune I’ve found is a single Fal lol. And I’ve farmed countess so many times. I get better rune drops elsewhere honestly. I notice they drop more regularly if I’m killing lots very quickly.
Hey Mr.Llama. I have never found an Ist-Rune before XD.
Which is ridiculous in all those years but i get your point. Good Video.
Really like this concept, a fun challenge too I imagine? Look forward to seeing more builds :)
What would be a good place to look up current prices for items?
Love the channel. This build series looks to be great.
Hey, love the channel! Looks like this build series is gonna be great!
You can trade them for good
How to D2:
1) Make a budget Javazon.
2) Ignore MF.
3) Do 100 Hell Cow runs. You probably get at least a Vex from that.
4) Build a MF Blizz Sorc with the Vex (or whatever rune you got from the 100 cow runs)
Yeah but how do you beat the game with Jav? I got stuck in hell. Couldn’t kill hell ancients.
@@blazedehart2748 It was mostly aimed at online characters that can easily get rushed through the game.
What is the vex for ? And why u wanna do all that and then make a sorc ?
The power of trade... I'm crying in single player. Good video
this is what majority can actually make, so glad to see something not infinity, enigma, even fortitude is out of reach
Okay, where does one look up trading? At around 10:55 he mentions checking for 10/10 sorc torches, and says he's "looking at a few different ones", but where? I would love to start trading for some better gear, as I have a few mid-to-high runes that I probably won't use, and would rather get more upgrades for my characters!
i love how he makes youtube content while live streaming, so smart. 2 in 1 BANGBANG plays
Hey love the channel, looks like this build series is going to be great!
Hey, love the channel! You should do more videos like these! - directly from twitch :)
Dual Spirit, Lore and the class specific runeword armors:
- Give +7 to skills, a bunch of res, and FCR
- Can be farmed from Hell Countess (except the Monarch, but they drop in the Chaos Sanctuary often enough)
- With shopped items in your other slots will let you farm Hell Mephisto, Diablo and Baal.
Did you shop at Anya? Looking to build a trapsin myself.
Sazabis always has a place in my helm rotation list. Hadn't thought about the potential of the socket either so cheers!
I want to complete Act 5 hell on solo self found first before I start trading. The ancients are murdering me. But this is a nice video to save for later when I start trading.
Hope you do javazon and smiter later as they seem to be easy to budget gear with some mid runes.
exactly my way of playing. im playing trapsin as my first character and im still grinding hell countess before moving on to act 2
Reminds me of my Sorc I nicknamed clearance rack. Basically only wearing gear from my friends that said “Hey, anyone need a X?”
Mr llama : breaks game

2x manalds makes leveling this character so easy when you don’t have the merc with insight to keep mana up. I leveled to 40 with a leaf and fire wave so easy. Don’t need a whole inventory of mana pots anymore.
Best leveling experience I have had and I have leveled each class since D2R
I am using sazabis helm, no shako
People like myself who enjoy leveling multiple toon as much as farming won’t have all the high runes as someone who sticks to one character, these budget videos are perfect for me. Now I need to pick a fav character… maybe trapsin
Im broke as a joke and I'm bored of my level 91 hammerdin so these videos are a good guide for a 2nd character.
I'm still unsure of where you're getting these "prices" and what they mean
Where the hell are you getting a shako for an um rune? They're currently going for an Ist....
Didn’t notice how often you were using LR, but I feel this clears well in comparison to my 87 tsin w/ hoto/spirit/treach/ etc. is that where I’m falling short?
"just spit a bunch of garbage at me" hahaha (33min 07sec)
31:26 dude casually dropping 1337 gold on the ground, lmao
This is impossible for me... No one can currently see the games I've made. I have yet had someone join my games this season. Not even free games or itelebaal.
To be fair, for most builds you need a 35% spirit for the break points... so a 34% spirit doesn't really have any more value than a 25% spirit.
I'm not complaining, i have ok gear for 3-4 chars for now, but even *low* Shako still costs Ist~ on my servers, never found that ppl sell it for um, only ethereal one. So this is where this build ends to me :D Also white monarch without sockets costs Lem, Crown of Thieves is pul or lem, Vipermagi is pul+... good guide overall, but not for my servers :)
aaaand i don't have chat for trade with all that good and fair prices that chat provide :)
Does llama do UA-cam/streaming full time?
The streamers are funny. It’s kind of like Bill Gates looking at my apartment and can’t even understand how I can live here
it's funny how some prices are so different in hc - a shako costs like ist+gul and low torches are more than um
Videos are never too long dawg
I’ve found or made all my gear. Made my multiple spirits to get good rolls that only took a few weeks. Then last week I found all my runes for hoto and yesterday I found my first skulders and today I found my first shako and ist. You just need to know where to farm and what act because all the stuff he’s listed I’ve found and have in my bank
Probably will do this on ladder
Wish I didn't go hammerdin as first char
So hungry for runes now :_(
But I did manage to find a um and got the shako for it (before watching video) and got a free ravenfrost and 29res vmagi - the rest of the gear is questionable at best
Also found an ist
Any suggestions with this ist that would help the hammerdin?
Rocking 2xspirit and res ring, ammy and gloves
Short of a vex to hoto
Enigma is a pipe-dream
Could use more fcr
Ive seen you mention in some of your videos that you can change the player count in D2R in solo. ive looked everywhere and cant find out how to do it. is it a chat command like the old "/PlayersX"?
20:18 people in D2 cannot resist giving away stuff.
Just asking.
and i thought poe trade sucked!!
thanks for this great video! didnt know how the trade worked
I’ve got a Bartuc’s so I was hoping he would say it was a prime item for this build. Bummer that it’s secondary to an easy-to-acquire runeword.
Honestly it would be fine in this build!
@@MrLlamaSC i was thinking of getting a bartuc's and dropping a 15IAS/-15% req jewel that I have in it. Would that be worth it or would the spirit still be slightly better?

Don't forget guys. Grief just costs a merely Lo rune. That's it. You can make a top tier barb or smiter with that.

hey @mrLlamasc, treachery or vipers mage? thanks!
Nef lum armor for the resists and fhr
Magefists for the fcr and 1to fire blast.
If u want to use fade instead of bos just wear the treachery for 2 more skills.
U absolutely need a low torch and 3-4 skillers to actually do cows with ease.like theres a sweet spot to get at least 6-7 k light dmg
what website or discord or w/e do you use to look up item prices for runes? Most I find only do RMT
I'd love to see 2 styles of this kind of build:
1. A 4-6 hour video where you trade online for a real world video without chat
2. Chat to trade with you for the rest of the builds
That would give both "here's what it is actually like", and then quicker videos building on that theory

The people have spoken, and they are right.
Couldn't chat just have played at same time and look for your character in the games to "interfer" since blocking game name didn't seem to make sense.
Yeah assassin is very underrated. One of the most powerful characters in the game IMO but at the end I feel traps kind of fall off without infinity. Other builds - hammerdin just demolish it in damage because of light resists. Then why not play a light sorc? Light sorc is stronger.
Pink guy is back
I actually stopped playing when I got my infinity on sorc and enigma for necro because it turned out I didn't feel like I had any major goals left. A trapper might actually be fun still. I still need a better griffons and would need good claws. Can a gg trapper clear faster than a gg light sorc though? Because if not it just doesn't make much sense to go through. I'm too goal oriented to enjoy games after I've achieved them.
