I really like Elemental - they are under reported on here in the US I loved the “shit you not” comment - I will definitely pick up the Power of Zeus Three random reissue picks: - Jimmy Smith’s “Root Down” on Verve - “Stooges” on Rhino - Gene Clark “No Other” alternate takes - RSD release
Thank you for your top 10 of 2024! Great choices. Love “Spring” such a great album. Do you have a video in which you list your Top 10 (or more) Guerssen releases (both for music and sound quality)? If not, I would be interested in knowing what your favorite Guerssen reissues are. Thanks!
It´s so hard, to rank the releases for 2024....but I also had Kaleidoscope, spinning the most.Alongside Stonewall,Wizard,Hunger,Horse and Parchment Farm
All great records ( well the 7 that i am familiar with) and will give the other 3 a play with youtube ir Spotify. My own personal top reissue this year was Light in the Attic's Various Artists - "Even The Forest Hums: Ukranian Sonic Archives 1971-1996 that showcased various genres each infused with local musical influences. I am a sucker for these type of compilations as broad sweep introductions into music one is extremely unlikely encounter. I think, and this is not meant to diss anyone that a lot of focus still remains in the Anglo-American axis as far as music is concerned which is fair enough. However, the world is still a big place and some of the music being produced elsewhere in the world contemporaneously just as good and in some cases better than their Anglophone equivalents.
I wish I was more into comps but it's not a thing I collect and get in to. I wish I did but it's one of the things I have left out. Took many many years to get into Brown Acid. I was super suspicious and it just opened up a new world. Ill prob get a few more Noumero Group releases in 2025
@@SublimMedia That's fair enough man. I usually only collect them if they provide a generalised overview of a whole scene or genre that's completely unknown to me.
For me, 3. David Crosby If I Could Only Remember My Name (Atlantic 75 AP). 2. Joni Mitchell Blue (MoFi). 3. Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath (Rhino high fidelity)
@@drumvc8060 I have that Sabbath on the way and I heard it at a buddy’s house. Can’t wait for it to arrive. Pretty sure it would be on the list if I got it. Great list dude!! So much amazing music released last year
@@SublimMedia hey thanks, yes it was pretty tough to keep up, there is much reissued last year that is on my wants list. I was lucky enough to get a numbered copy of the Sabbath, it does sound pretty spectacular, I hope you enjoy it. Enjoy the streams, looking forward to see what 2025 brings (aside my 2024 backlog 😊)
I'm still waiting for Power of Zeus to become available on streaming. I need to preview the music before throwing $30+ at any obscure/unknown vinyl release. The one song they released is killer, but the previous POZ album I listened to was much different, certainly not as heavy as the one track released from this new pressing.
Yes I agree that it's best to sample. In some cases labels dont want to put it out there but with Acient Grese I think they have such a big following that people rely on what they put out.
List your TOP 3 favorit reissues from 2024!
Hey Jonas. Great countdown! Here are my top three that I picked up last year in no particular order... DRAGONFLY
... DRYEWATER... ELIAS HULK. Cheers
@@7BobbyGaylor7 awesome list. Yes Elias Hulk!!! What a banger! 🤘😀

Amazing releases! Horse was a big one too. Got a lot of time on my TT!
anthony williams is amazing album, actually the less expensive that I've bought in 2024
Hard to pick a top 3 but I'll go with Fraction, Dryewater, and Underground Fire. What is the four horsemen of the psychedelic apocalypse?
@@gonolith awesome picks. Yes Underground Fire is a top contender indeed. 😀🤘
Crosby’s record is one of the best psych albums ever released.
Agree 100%!!

Didn't get many Lps last year. No reissues. Can't have too many copies of Blue though.
So true!!! 😍
