I got it when I was 15. Shots and topical treatments never helped and it’s never grown back. It’s just gotten much worse over the years. There are two things that I know for certain: keep your stress under control as much as possible, and see a rheumatologist or immunologist regarding autoimmunity. I can absolutely pinpoint the most hair loss to times of extreme stress. I have found (twenty years later) that I have developed an IGG deficiency which causes all kinds of foolishness (but not hair loss) and it would’ve helped tremendously to find it sooner. There is an autoimmune drug that can reverse the hair loss; but like similar drugs, it lowers your ability to fight infections and can even increase the likelihood of developing certain cancers. Also, as soon as you stop taking it, the hair loss returns. It gives me hope, though, that it may lead to better, safer treatments in the future. On a lighter note, if you’re looking for good quality and affordable wigs, I have recently discovered Purple Scarf Wigs on Etsy. I hope this helps someone!

Shuga Ray I hope it works for you! I had the shots for about 3 years - they helped but were painful. Now I am trying a natural approach. ❤️🌹

This is what I have so you know the struggle is real. I finally shaved my hair in June to start over. I now have about 2 inches and I am concentrating on thickening rather than length right now. That Shea Moisture High Porosity line with my 2Chic stuff is a godsend. Your tips and advise have made a world of difference. BTW my GlamFam shirt should be here by the end of the month - anything to help my GlamFam-ily!❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have an auto immune skin and scalp condition called lichen Plano pilaris. It causes bald spots (alopecia). Mine is different in that once the hair leaves the area that had the follicles it is replaced with scar tissue. I have to wear wigs and weaves to cover the area. The crown of my head has suffered the most damage.

Thank you for this! I suffer from Alopecia Areata but it is very sporadic, sometimes I wont loose any hair for years , and then suddenly, like just recently, I will find a few spots on my head. I hadn't considered going to a Dr. before so will see about that soon.

I really love your videos and they have helped me a lot. I wanted to point out one more cause of alopecia areata that I encountered. I had a car accident where my head went into the driver's side window and knocked me out, within a week I noticed I had developed a dime size bald spot right where my head hit. This grew over a month into a softball size bald spot, ( absolutely terrifying me) luckily it grew back rather quickly once the balding stopped. Within 3 months my hair was completely back in again. Thanks again for the fantastic videos.

You are so right... I had a Customer who's hair started really growing from around her ear to pass her shoulder. All of a sudden I noticed a dime size spot fall out. I treated it and the hair would not grow in. I insisted she go to a doctor and have blood work. Finally she went and doctor's discovered she had cancer...you have to pay attention to the customers scalp,etc...

I love your hair videos and just join! I am struggle with traction alopecia and it came from pulling hair with small black elastic bands to the roots while doing two strain twist. Question, do you think it’s ok to start my two start twist with loose braided root first?

Hi GlamFam!! I'm pretty new to the channel (just found it) and I am now subscribed. I sooooo appreciate you and your family and what you are doing for our culture and the multiple hair situations that we tend to go through. I'm almost certain that you've probably made a video on this subject, but can you direct me to the video on how best to regrow thinning edges? I do have edges so I don't think the actual follicles are gone, however the edges are a bit thinning. Maybe it's my age (46??), I don't really know but I do know that since I've found your service I very much value your knowledge and advice. Please let me know. Thank you so much and God Bless.

As far back as the age of 5 i have had bald spots on both sides of my head above my ears. Never had it diagnosed but assumed it was alopecia. There is a light peach fuzz situation though. What could this mean??

Eat garlic , chop it up add a little honey ..do this for one week, then apply cortizone 10 with aloe vera to scalp, you'll see results in 2 weeks
