He was my teacher in cosmetology school, just wanted to drop in and thank him for being an awesome teacher! Happy to see your page doing well and thriving!
Why is this man so amazing!?! Dropping a ton of knowledge that a lot of us relaxed girls need while NOT being judgmental bc of our decision to relax! He’s funny and his voice is so relaxing and reassuring! I always feel better at the end of watching his videos and short clips! Thank you so much for being you and being a beacon of light and positivity in our community!💕💕🌸
That part about being NOT judgmental is true, it's appreciated. The fact that some "professional" hairstylist come very rude to relaxed hair is quite shocking. We all choose how we'd like our hair, whether that's relaxed, natural, blue, blonde, baby hairs or none just be professional. So I'm thankful for his positive and professionalism.
Not being judged is the number one thing Thank you! The judgement is real sometimes so I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels that way at times (Especially from fellow people of color….unfortunately) I like to relax my hair but THATS WHAT I WANT TO DO I’m not trying to be “white” or whatever I just like to do what I want to do So I’m really glad I saw this comment -peace and love
Just because you’re enjoying your natural hair journey doesn’t mean you have to tear up someone else’s journey.” He said it all there. I like the non judgmental approach towards relaxed hair. I’m over the people with natural hair who act like they’re the poster child of good health or the “real black people.” My hair is relaxed, thick, long and healthy because I take care of it by incorporating over 90% of his tips. Having relaxed hair is my choice. I love being a black woman and having a relaxer does not change that. Sorry I had to vent.
These tips are 1000% spot on. Relaxed girl here, still loving the creamy crack for well over 30 years and my hair is super healthy. I am at 12 to 14 weeks for a relaxer. First, having a fabulous hairdresser is key. When Covid hit I was forced to deal with hair that had not been relaxed in well over a year. During that time I relied on the relief and hydration of natural hair products gave me. As Lindwood says, (I love that he and my cousin share the same name!❤) hydration is the key. Most people believe If you get a relaxer you are done with your hair. As your hair is your crowning joy why on earth would you not tend to it and treat it like gold? I only use heat on my hair after wash and blow-dry. I always wrap my hair in silk and/or satin. I pin curl my hair or use Spoolies. I don't weigh my scalp down with heavy oils as your head needs to breathe. I only use product when necessary. Do all the tips in this video and you will have lovely locks always.
@@halleenjohnson7311 You are very welcome! I've spent a lifetime researching products for myself. Believe me I was not always careful in my youth. When you have your hair fallout you will learn the hard way that your hair no matter who you are or how you process or don't process your hair, you have to take care of it. Blessings to you.
I agree and love your comment. I’ve been relaxed over 30 years. My hair is healthy as I go to a professional hairdresser who use top tier products. I also take care of me hair.
I hope it is okay to say this. For those with relaxed hair, just know that ALMOST every thing he talks about natural hair, can be applied to relaxed hair. I am relaxed for years, followed him and applied a lot of his teaching to my hair routine. With some research, I tweak some advice to take care of my hair as relaxed. I stretched between 11 to 13 weeks.
Hey! Like always, I enjoyed reading your content. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and instructor as well. Relaxer is making a huge comeback. At 46, I was tired of the long hair and wanted a new mature look. Then I saw you posted a new video. I'm going to relax my hair. ❤ What sodium base relaxer do you use?
I’ve also used his natural hair advice for my relaxed hair. The blend of deep conditioner and protein made my hair blossom and corrected some weakness. Thanks Linwood
My fave one is SafeRX by Vitale Pro. I used to have to special order it, but it was one of the few that I was actually satisfied with in the relaxer market.
This is facts. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and Stylist. We've been using #1 and #2 for years. No issues. They expanded the brand for at home consumers and now all the shenanigans....
Love the last tip, literally have relaxer trauma as a kid 😭😭 my daughters hair is waist length and people are always telling me what to do I just ignore them ❤
I am not relaxed anymore and am never going back, but that tip about stretching out your time between relaxers blew my mind. I never know 6-8 weeks was the minimum.
Yessss! Shout out to the girly whose comment led to this content. I've known for a while that moisture and protein balance matter for both relaxed and natural hair - so most of your content has always been helpful to me. Most of your tips are already a part of my hair routine, but the biggest takeaways are: the sensitive scalp chemical difference, that coarse hair is really fine and how to use silicones. I live in Houston and sweat in my head, so the humidity has me at war with frizz. So many products to combat frizz have silicones so I haven't been able to find a solution to the frizz. Your tips on how to use them are much appreciated!
Have you by chance tried Miel rosemary styling cream? Can’t remember the exact name but it’s part of that rosemary oil line… if doing twist outs of even buns or whatever m, it helps smooth frizz. Honestly the shampoo thick rich conditioner and the oil are great
Hi... don't take this wrong way... I'm a 23 yr old male and i listen to your hair care tips but i have to say - you need to start including skin care as well...cause your skin is flawless...
Thank you Linwood for these amazing tips! I did not know relaxing prior to puberty was so risky until you broke down the reasons why & it makes perfect sense. Also, thank you to the subbie who brought the lack of relaxed content to Linwood’s attention; i hope you didnt unsubscribe and miss this amazing video❤
LINWOOD!!! As a fellow educator and master stylist, you hit it every important point. Most of the time you can hit on a few during consultation but it’s nearly impossible for clients to retain all of the information. Grateful for you and your channel, saving heads 1 strand at a time! 💜💜💜
Love your videos! The info regarding moisture and protein balance was new to me as well as consuming stimulants before relaxers is new - but totally makes sense. I wish I had this advice when I wore my hair relaxed for 20 years (scalp burns, over processing, relaxing prior to puberty, shedding, ...I experienced all that). Now that I've been natural for 16 years, I've realized that education is key. One is not "easier" than the other. I've experienced dryness and breakage with both relaxed and natural hair due to lack of education. Thank you, for informing and educating Linwood! ❤ This was very helpful.
Why would she threaten to unsubsidized but loves tour content? That was such an unnecessary comment. Clearly all she needed to do was ask if you deal with relaxed hair or if you are able to give advice. She was doing toooooooooooo much.
I was just thinking the other day that I wish you would do a video on relaxed hair. I am almost embarrassed to say that my AH-HA moment came when you posted the TikTok about Oil is not moisture. I am 50 years old and no one ever told me that they just tell you to grease your scalp and use a good oil. I am now on a journey to healthy relaxed hair. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
There were so many things they didn’t tell our generation about our hair. I was thinking the same thing. I didn’t find out what constituted a moisturizer until I went natural. And I was today years old when I found out that hydration and moisturizer were distinct things.
Yes the hydration moisturizer topic is something else. I’m trying to learn so many things and then on top of that have to apply what is learned. I’m so thankful for this man
Thank you for this. A few years ago I relaxed my hair and my licensed cosmetologist relaxed my hair and left it on for so long. I asked her how long is supposed to sit, she said until my scalp burns…. I had been natural for about 12 years at the time and I even knew that was false. I pretended to be burning. She rinsed it out and my hair was boooone straight. My hair was so straight I didn’t need to flat iron at all, and my hair felt gummy. I was so upset because I had been a client for a while and I trusted her. I cut my hair and restarted. Never went back to her again.
Wow, smh😮. This is Exactly why for 36years I have done it myself 14-51yo. No one will take as much care as you do. I'm sorry to hear you had that experience 🙏
Omg, I needed you 25 years ago. I have gone through the cycle of being natural and relaxed for decades. This final time, I relaxed my hair 6 weeks ago, and let me tell you, we are going to do it right this TIME!
OK, so I went back to a relaxer about a year ago. I was previously relaxed for years. So you want to know which point resonated with me...all 25. I thought I knew a few things about relaxed hair but boy was I mistaken. Thanks Linwood. As of today I will handle my hair with a lot more care.
I attempted twice to go natural .. after using relaxers for 20 years.. one time every .. three months... not often.. my hair came out.. as soon as I went back to relaxers my hair grew
Low key, this makes me want to get a relaxer again. Now that I have better knowledge and tools, I'm sure I can remedy the previous issues I had prior to going natural.
I stumbled on your page on Instagram and I was intrigued. I went to this UA-cam channel. I want to say thank you for the video on relaxed hair. My cosmetologist just passed away. He has been doing my hair since 1999. He was outstanding. 🥰 Thank you for the tips on how to care for my hair. I still use rollers and I also let my hair air-dry a lot. Anyway, again, thank you for this video it is appreciated. 🥰
Thank you thank you! I am relaxed but I still took the foundational advice you give to maintain it. I always deep condition with protein/moisture or hydrating mix. I roller set to dry on medium heat which takes forever as I am mid-back but I make it work. I have stretched my relaxers to twice a year and I get a deep protein treatment then. No permanent color and I trim whenever it needs it. You are the GOAT for all hair care but as a relaxed girl thanks for the special attention. I do use the Olaplex 1 & 2 with my relaxers and I love the results.
Tfs Linwood...great tips as usual. Even when I first started relaxing ny hair 30+ yrs ago, I always pushed to 8 wks btwn relaxers. In the past 10 yrs or so, I've been able to stretch to 12-14 wks btwn relaxers. Always used Vitamin E oil as my base. Still trying to restore the health, body & length to my fine hair.
I think you are wonderful and so cute. I love watching your videos even though most of your tips do not apply to me. I know you are very knowledgeable, and I wish when I was young I had a stylist like you. Because I am much older than you and all the beauticians I was sent to when I was very young did nothing but destroy my hair, I will never go to a beautician or salon again. I do my own hair myself and will never let anyone else touch my hair. I say that because I have naturally thick hair, my hair is extremely healthy, and has grown almost to my waist. I have tried several times to be completely natural, however, because my hair is thick, it is too difficult for me to manage. I TexLax my hair with relaxer. Meaning I just apply it to only the new growth and rinse it out. I then spend an hour neutralizing my hair. I wash my hair at least 10 times with neutralizing shampoo, then end with a moisturizing shampoo and deep conditioning. You forgot to mention in this video the importance of neutralizing. I use relaxer in my hair only to make it more manageable, not for it to be straight. I touch up my new growth every 16 weeks, I lightly trim every 8 weeks, I wash every 2 weeks, then deep condition every time I wash. I never use any heat on my hair and my hair is always hydrated and moisturized. I use very low manipulation, because I work from home and do not need to style my hair daily. When I do style my hair, it is always in a protective bun. Yes, I know very boring, but that is why my hair almost down to my waist and healthier than it has ever been. Thank you so much for your videos!
Thank you for saying that it’s an individual journey on whether you would like to be natural or relaxed. I’m relaxed and happy. Natural hair isn’t for everyone and I respect everyone’s hair journey.
These are great tips I will definitely use going forward. Another tip for those of us that live with hard water is to try and soften or filter that water before we put it on our hair and skin. I have very hard water where I live and recently started using spring water to wash my hair. The difference and softness are amazing. And I did not change a single product.
One of the most important tips you gave was not to relax prior to puberty. I've heard far too many stories or children as young as 4 getting a relaxer. I was around 8 or 9 when I had my first relaxer. Additionally, we start so much self hatred with children and their hair when we relax when they are so young.
Thank for sharing this. I no longer relax my hair. But maaaan I've made a lot of mistakes and it explains a lot about some issues that I have. Now armed with this knowledge, I will approach my hair differently. You're the best Linwood ❤
I relax my hair and literally treat it like it's natural. The less you do to your relaxed hair as far as intricate styles, the better. I stay keeping my hair moisturized! And my hair just keeps on flourishing 😊
Thanks for this video i went natural because of my frustration with relaxers. But i think we need more balance in our community with people thinking if you are one or the other we can't watch the same content and get obvious instructions on how to care for our hair. I hope we can just take great care of our hair relaxed or natural.
Linwood, thank you for this video...I especially found the info on cocktailing protein with the deep conditioner extremely helpful because I do each separately and I'm always in and out of the shower, cocktailing will definitely save time. Thank you once again.
Thank you so much. Just went back to relaxer after 2 years. I’m gray and natural just don’t work for me. This time I’m going to cherish my hair and take care of it this time. You are awesome, love all you tips and I promise to follow them. Following you to keep informed👍🏼.
As someone that was traumatized during my first relaxer at 9 years old, I truly appreciate your call to not relax a child’s hair. Thank you for sharing such rich information and I look forward to learning more tips along the way! Love and light 💖
You are the GOAT. Such an informative video. I never knew 6-8 weeks was the minimum. Also, not having the dryer on perm was a good tip. I’m a new subscriber. ❤
I too am relaxed and although I’ve taken a lot of your profession hair care knowledge of the natural men and women to some of my hair routines….I have also been one of those who felt like I was missing even more valuable information. I’m so glad that you first apologized to the (hopefully still subscribed UA-cam member), and then addressed every thing possible for us relaxed hair viewers/subscribers can now take even more information and apply to our daily, weekly, or even monthly routine….and if nothing more it’s just good for me to finally see a male do a relaxed hair care video. THANKS for posting!!
Yayyy I'm so happy someone spoke up for us with relax locs. I went back natural nearly 3 yrs ago. Absolutely 💯 hated it. That journey lasted 8 months, but seemed like an eternity in frustration hell. It brought back the memories of back in the day why I had my hair relaxed in the first place. 😮 Thanks for doing this video. I'm about to reach for the remote to watch this on a big screen TV. 👏 #relaxhairgal
Entire video was motivationally informational. Pops used to relax my hair as a yout. I’m about to bring it back. Thank you for the knowledge. I will do my best to apply and put into action. Shit was beautiful, family. Love. 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙌🏿
I was always led to believe by my mother that she had to relax my hair because I didn't want it combed as a child. So I grew up believing that my natural hair would be so hard to handle. My hair stylist for years kept telling me that my hair would not be hard to take care as a natural. I am now in my late 40s and have just stopped relaxing my hair and I can't believe that my hair is not hard to handle as my mom led me to believe. So I 100 per cent agree with you with waiting and letting people decide once they are older to get their hair relaxed.
I just found your channel and this is the first video that I've watched. Its perfect because I am considering relaxing my hair again after being natural for almost 10yrs. And with this video I feel comfortable going back. Thank yiu so much! I have now subscribed to yor channel. ❤
Thank you, thank you so very much...I've learned so much! My Mom started relaxing my hair when I was 9 because, to this day, I sweat in my head...btw I'm 64 yrs old. I'm going to watch this video several times to absorb all the info!
Here's a pro tip 30 years in the game , Sally's has a great product called Porosity Control by Roux , when I tell you 1st use you will see a difference , its a great conditioner that makes you're hair water loving , has a neutral ph balance .
This is Gold! ❤ and you have always been amazing! And I use your advice for my natural hair, and I'm strongly considering texturizing my natural hair❤❤
That's why i just did it. My hair was healthy enough. And has grown so much. Now I'm educated to maintain it and keep it healthy. I have got so many compliments.
You do discuss relaxed hair. I remember you explaining in detail relaxed hair porosity. You utilized the whiteboard in your classroom. Thank you for another great video! ❤️
Wow this has been one of the BEST videos I have watched in a long time. Thanks for taking the time to create this content so informative. Very much appreciated
I braided my hair up every night and 😊 take it down in the morning. I use olive oil on my hair. Just a drop olive all on my hair. I braided it up at night some weekend. I just rock. My braide hair relaxing around the house 😊 I try to make my life very simple, no fake hair, not fake nails 🙂 Jus t me, Mrs. B. I see a lot of women don't know who they are on the inside 😊love yourself this gentleman has good intentions, very nice advice 😊
Lmaoooo watching this is crazy because I didn't have "a fighting chance"...my hair got relaxed for my 2nd birthday..I stopped relaxing my hair at 17 years old, but now I want to go back to relaxer..lol I'm very conflicted
You knocked it out the park with this one. I’m natural, had a perm for 29 years but went natural in 2011. You are “hair” for all of us.🖤➰🖤❗️GlamFam 4 life.
I'm just stunned that people are still using relaxers after the news of lawsuits due to it causing cancer. I mean its not worth your life just to have hair like the other race.
Thank you Linwood!! Your content is always 🤌🏽 I just put a texturizer in my hair today after being natural for about 9 yrs and honestly I am so happy. I STRUGGLED with my extra coarse, extra dry hair for yrs. Please keep us relaxed girlies in mind, we need you too! 😊❤
I truly believe that many professional stylist don't know this. I still have scalp damage 20 years later from a bad relaxer where she pulled, scratched and then put a processing cap on my head. It finally stopped having pain in the areas around three years ago but my hair grows in weakly in those areas. As a matter of fact. I'm lossing three of my locs in that area now.
I'm so sorry you went through that. I have never heard of anyone especially stylists pull or scratch during processing a relaxer let alone put on a process cap. Thats something you may do with conditioner.. I hope you were compensated .
I'm watching this like I'm about to relax my hair lol. I wish I knew this when I got relaxers. Thanks for making this video! Shout out to all the relaxed girlies.
Thank you, Linwood, for the great information!!! ❤ Hydration with deep conditioning has helped me care for my hair and stretch my relaxer to 12 weeks. I like the cocktail advice. I will try that to see how my hair responds.
I am so glad you addressed not relaxing children’s hair. I have always thought it was a bad idea to relax a child’s hair, despite the fact that our mother’s and auntie’s relaxed our hair. I am especially glad you addressed the hormonal factors, young children are far more sensitive and if doctors will adjust prescriptions based off age then it only makes sense that such a strong chemical not be used on a child… Great video, I watched it all the way through even though I am natural and would NEVER allow relaxer to touch my daughter’s crown. 🙅🏿♀️👑
When I tell you that my dry, relaxed hair and I jumped for joy seeing this video!!! Thank you!! I'm already on it! I'm no longer allowing relaxers to sit longer than 17 minutes, and I am concentrating on "hydrating" My inner strands and moisturizing my outer strands...adding protein once every 6 weeks. Ty!!! Also, not believing stereotypes about this 4z hair on my head. I'm not chewing gum, I'm medium what you said!😅
Thank you so so much for this Linwood. I've been relaxed for 15 years now and can't see myself ever going back natural. I love your helpful informative content. God bless you.
I'm so thankful for this video. I have been relaxing my own hair for about a year now and completely damaged my hair and scalp the last time I relaxed it 2 months ago. I believe my hair was in shock and my scalp. After about two months I am finally seeing New growth but my hair is no longer growing in as thick as it was. Can you please help in suggest any products I can use on my scalp. Especially now that is in such a sensitive and damaged state. I said I will go natural
Loved this video. Could you please make a video about texture releases. I’m curious to know whether hair that has previously been texture released can be relaxed.
I don't comment for nothing. You made me have to say something. Thank you because i am relaxed. Its like i walk in shame making that decision. No there arent many edu videos out for us. Idk why we cant just have our hair as we want it and be damn happy. I stumble upon your video and i am so thankful for the information. I didn't even care the length of time for the video. I needed all the information. Now I can apply these tips plus i know how to communicate with a stylist in order to see if they can provide what i need for my hair. Because your right they do be going to do something else and have you sitting. But we never thought of it in a negative way. Its how we are raised. Tell me what it starts to burn as been installed in is. Anyway thank you. For a person that don't comment. I wrote a book 🤦🏽♀️
This video is so informative. Thanks for not bashing people with relaxed hair. I appreciate your professionalism and your desire to want to share your knowledge.
THANK YOU for addressing relaxed hair needs! ❤ I have followed most of these steps throughout my journey. 2 Chic has been my favorite for a while. It really helps my hair maintain moisture, which prevented breakage. Shout out to TJ Maxx & Marshall's for the best price! My hair is the longest it's ever been (mid-back).
Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you for your content regarding the 25 steps I thoroughly enjoyed and I really do appreciate it and I will be incorporating this in my hair care routine.
Linwood out her doing the Lord's work!! I was on the creamy crack from 12-24 and then transitioned to keratin treatments for the last 16 years. I couldn't tell you my curl pattern but I follow all his tips for high porosity hair and I have seen not only growth but RETENTION!!! Let them ends go and deep condition!!❤❤❤
Much needed and appreciated. Relaxed life is just as much of a struggle for me than natural life was. Thank you for your expertise and wisdom on the matter.
New subby here 🙋🏽♀️ I returned to relaxers (texlaxing) around Thanksgiving 2021, after 7 years of being natural! I’m loving the tips & suggestions that you’re giving! 🫶🏽
Where the hell have you been all my life?! Great information! I love my hair relaxed but i stopped relaxing because my family was relaxer shaming me 🙄 I’m going back I don’t care 😂

He was my teacher in cosmetology school, just wanted to drop in and thank him for being an awesome teacher! Happy to see your page doing well and thriving!
Thanks fam! ❤️❤️ I hope you are well!
Great video!!!
Not being judged is the number one thing
Thank you!
The judgement is real sometimes so I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels that way at times
(Especially from fellow people of color….unfortunately)
I like to relax my hair but THATS WHAT I WANT TO DO
I’m not trying to be “white” or whatever
I just like to do what I want to do
So I’m really glad I saw this comment
-peace and love

I said me comment and just saw your comment and you took the words from my mouth
Enjoyed your information on relaxed hair, thank you.
@@erikacruz4609 That is so awesome. I am glad I am not the only one! Especially as I get older it's even more important to maintain health overall.
Same, sis!
Agree 🎉
Hey! Like always, I enjoyed reading your content. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and instructor as well. Relaxer is making a huge comeback. At 46, I was tired of the long hair and wanted a new mature look. Then I saw you posted a new video. I'm going to relax my hair. ❤
What sodium base relaxer do you use?
I’ve also used his natural hair advice for my relaxed hair. The blend of deep conditioner and protein made my hair blossom and corrected some weakness. Thanks Linwood
My fave one is SafeRX by Vitale Pro. I used to have to special order it, but it was one of the few that I was actually satisfied with in the relaxer market.
The issue with Olaplex is they took a professional product and put it in the hands of the non reading instructions consumer. Now here we are 🤷🏽♀️.
This is facts. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and Stylist. We've been using #1 and #2 for years. No issues. They expanded the brand for at home consumers and now all the shenanigans....
They never read
Ain't nothing "old and dusty" about you. You are the hair guru for healthy hair. 💜
Love the last tip, literally have relaxer trauma as a kid 😭😭 my daughters hair is waist length and people are always telling me what to do I just ignore them ❤
Unsubscribed because of no relaxed hair videos. How petty..
My thoughts exactly but at least some good came out of it..
Silicones are great
Yess. Shout out to you girlfriend
I knew 5 year olds that got relaxers. I'm shocked that that is the norm.
My joy fam! Thanks for watching!
You are a TRUE educator👍🏽 I have been schooled today 😊
Omg, I needed you 25 years ago. I have gone through the cycle of being natural and relaxed for decades. This final time, I relaxed my hair 6 weeks ago, and let me tell you, we are going to do it right this TIME!
This video is EVERYTHING! Tips 22:08 that I needed to hear - keep heat well below 400 degrees, hydration and keep up with trims. So informative!
Thank you so much for all of these relaxed hair tips. Best i heard on relaxed hair. Please make more videos on relaxed hair
I got a relaxer and i treat it way better. I hope for the best. But if it falls out, I know how to be natural. Im good
I stumbled on your page on Instagram and I was intrigued.
While i am natural i have family that are relaxed. I’ll will share. You’re videos are the most informative videos I watch!❤
SCREEEEAAM THIS! Hard water has done more damage to my hair than any other culprit. It's an expensive problem to solve and also wreaks havoc on skin.
I wish my parent had had this video when I was 8. Sally's had us fooled - thankfully we found a good stylist in my teens and my hair bounced back 🙌🏼
One of the most important tips you gave was not to relax prior to puberty.
Great information! You can tell you have experienced and understand healthy hair
Just found you and I am obsessed with you. ❤thank you for this gems. Definitely sticking around
Yayyy
I'm so happy someone spoke up for us with relax locs.
He's right about everything. I just prefer no lye relaxers and chelate with vinegar. Suds are white on the first wash.
13 years natural thinking about going back relaxed. My hair is soooo thick.
I hope the info in the video proves helpful then! Thanks for watching!
That's why i just did it. My hair was healthy enough. And has grown so much. Now I'm educated to maintain it and keep it healthy. I have got so many compliments.
I just started relaxing my hair from natural and am loving it. I now know what to do
you have helped me with my relaxed hair in so much ways. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
I'm team Creamy Crack. These are all great tips. Thank you.
Excellent video thank you. It wasn’t long at all informative 😊

Thanks so much for your feedback! Thanks for watching!
Lame
I'm just stunned that people are still using relaxers after the news of lawsuits due to it causing cancer. I mean its not worth your life just to have hair like the other race.
Thank you Linwood!! Your content is always 🤌🏽 I just put a texturizer in my hair today after being natural for about 9 yrs and honestly I am so happy. I STRUGGLED with my extra coarse, extra dry hair for yrs. Please keep us relaxed girlies in mind, we need you too! 😊❤
You are so awesome!! A wealth of knowledge and compassion with a touch of witty humor. Love it! ❤️
I hope you were compensated

I did not know about the sensitive relaxer thank u
I'm watching this like I'm about to relax my hair lol. I wish I knew this when I got relaxers. Thanks for making this video! Shout out to all the relaxed girlies.
You are so awesome. Your voice is silk as well. ❤❤
Aww thank you so much! Thanks for watching!
Thank you, Linwood, for the great information!!! ❤ Hydration with deep conditioning has helped me care for my hair and stretch my relaxer to 12 weeks. I like the cocktail advice. I will try that to see how my hair responds.
Such a great video!! I've learned so much. Thank you.
It’s about time! Us relax sistas still hanging in there
Great content for us relaxed hair girls. Thank you so much.
Tip number 10 hit a nerve 😂 "your scalp is not an indicator of when the relaxer is done processing" wish somebody told me this 10 years ago.
And just to add… the children on the relaxer boxes are not actually relaxed ! They have healthy natural hair that’s been straightened.
@@crapbag426😮
When I tell you that my dry, relaxed hair and I jumped for joy seeing this video!!! Thank you!! I'm already on it! I'm no longer allowing relaxers to sit longer than 17 minutes, and I am concentrating on "hydrating" My inner strands and moisturizing my outer strands...adding protein once every 6 weeks. Ty!!! Also, not believing stereotypes about this 4z hair on my head. I'm not chewing gum, I'm medium what you said!😅
I follow you on IG and TikTok, love love your videos, but I wish you had a salon in NYC, I would be your first customer.
Over-processed hair! That’s why my hair wouldn’t grow past my shoulders when I was younger.
I didn't know about the caffeine and chocolate, and the hat
Thanks for this. I’m relaxed and watch you because you’re great but would watch more if you give relaxed hair tips. ❤❤ much love.
Thank you so so much for this Linwood. I've been relaxed for 15 years now and can't see myself ever going back natural. I love your helpful informative content. God bless you.
Really doing the lord’s work in this video… very helpful
I'm so thankful for this video. I have been relaxing my own hair for about a year now and completely damaged my hair and scalp the last time I relaxed it 2 months ago. I believe my hair was in shock and my scalp. After about two months I am finally seeing New growth but my hair is no longer growing in as thick as it was. Can you please help in suggest any products I can use on my scalp. Especially now that is in such a sensitive and damaged state. I said I will go natural
Loved this video. Could you please make a video about texture releases. I’m curious to know whether hair that has previously been texture released can be relaxed.
THANK YOU FOR SAYING "RELAX HAIR" IS STILL NATURAL HAIR!!!❣️ #LOVE UR HUMOR 😂
Thanks so much for watching fam! I appreciate you!
I have never heard of having a retouch done past 6 weeks 😮
I’m so glad that you found it to be helpful! I greatly appreciate you watching! 😊🙏🏽🙏🏽
Knows the HAIR BUSINESS!!😍
Much needed and appreciated. Relaxed life is just as much of a struggle for me than natural life was.
Thank you for your expertise and wisdom on the matter.
Thank you so much! Very informative. I knew about 2 items out of the 25 but this gave much more insight to the why.
New subby here 🙋🏽♀️
I returned to relaxers (texlaxing) around Thanksgiving 2021, after 7 years of being natural! I’m loving the tips & suggestions that you’re giving! 🫶🏽
Who is he ????
He is great !!! Goid job
Merci beaucoup.
It is a long vidéo But very ,very worth it.... keep it up.
And Thank you once again ❤
Where the hell have you been all my life?! Great information! I love my hair relaxed but i stopped relaxing because my family was relaxer shaming me 🙄
I’m going back I don’t care 😂
Excellent information. Thanks. 👏
