    Jenilee, you are a true inspiration to this 61 yr old woman. I love your channel! Your voice is so calming and all your meals look delicious. My favorite would probably be the baked oatmeal, especially the chocolate peanut butter one. Keep inspiring us honey! God bless you and your family!

    I am going to try both of these breakfast ideas the oatmeal bake and pancake bake for my daughter, she is expecting her first child my first grandchild in February and I think these will help her when she comes home from the hospital.

    I really enjoy your videos. Your voice over is very relaxing and calm. I’m a mom of 13 and love the pre-made breakfast ideas! I like to make banana bread often, or muffins. I don’t know about you, but I have found the more our family grew, the more organized we had to be. Everyone has a chore, even the young ones (age appropriate), and it makes the family and home run so much smoother. 😊 It’s a blessing for sure.

      Your so right about the organization piece. Its not an easy thing for me to be super organized. But as mothers we have to choose our priorities and organize them. Its an important work. Much love!

    I have truly been enjoying your videos. So glad I found your channel yesterday. You may already do it but save your wrappers around your butter and put them in the freezer. There is always some butter left on them. When I want to grease something, I just get one of those out of the freezer and it works perfectly. I know I don't buy that spray anymore because I know it is full of not good ingredients. I have never made any baked oatmeal before, but these look amazing!

    The bobs red mill southern style white corn grits are really good-I haven’t tried azure, I didn’t know they had white corn ones thanks for sharing that. We like to add either cream in while cooking or stir in sour cream while on the plate to cook them off. Stirring in a runny yolk egg is the best!

    Grits and fried eggs are some of my children's favorite! I have been making a hot breakfast for my seven children for nearly 24 years!! Cereal is so costly and I have hardly bought any for the past several years. So we are always on the lookout for homemade breakfast ideas!!!

    Baked oatmeal is one of my favorites! Just for the reason you said, make night before, throw it in fridge, put oven on time bake so hubby can stick it in oven first thing in the morning 😉 the last one I made, I used leftover whey from ricotta cheese. My family loved it🥳

    Love this! I need to do this and actually take time to meal prep and freeze them. The kids just seem to eat everything up so fast. I love the strudel topped French toast idea!
    It definitely is a huge struggle to eat non sugary foods. I've been alternating weeks of breakfasts. So one week we'll have homemade sausage egg cheese English muffins and the next we'll have spicy kielbasa with hash browns. They also like pancakes, oatmeal or some fried egg on top of a fried corn tortilla topped with green Chile for our meatless days.

    All the recipes looked and sounded delicious! I have trouble with breakfast here and avoiding the easy sugary quick fixes due to picky eaters at breakfast. My kids are good eaters in general, but breakfast is just hard. Half of them won’t do eggs at all. And none of them will eat oatmeal unless it’s a cookie. It’s hard getting protein in them! But they all love peanut butter so I think I’ll attempt that pb baked oatmeal. Here’s to hoping!!

    I’m new here and everything looked so good. I really want to learn how to bake sourdough bread. I tried making a starter a few times, but never had success. I am grinding my own grains for my baking. I’m going to make your chocolate peanut butter oatmeal very soon.

    • @jenilee.thepioneerhome
      @jenilee.thepioneerhome  Рік тому

      I may want to get a mature sourdough starter from someone, if that is what is holding you back. It can be much more encouraging to get started backing with sourdough, with a mature starter. Hope you like the oats!

    I'm torn! They all sound delicious.
    However, I might make the baked oatmeals first. Only because I need to restart my sourdough starter! 😂 Also, I'm super nervous to try grits.🙈

    Couple of questions, how much cocoa powder did you add for the chocolate one? Also how much extract did you add to the pumpkin one? And could you substitute anything for the coconut oil?? Also how much pumpkin pie spice would I use??

    • @jenilee.thepioneerhome
      @jenilee.thepioneerhome  11 місяців тому

      Sorry i don't always measure. But I believe it was about 1/4 cup of cocoa. And probably a tsp of vanilla. You could also use maple extract for the pumpkin one. You could use butter instead of coconut oil. I would probably use a teaspoon of pumpkin spice. So good!

    Just a fun comparison of different lives: I find it hard to make breakfasts ahead of time. My 4 kids swim competitively (two of them are national level swimmers) so when they all come home from their morning training set of almost 2 hours (yes we are up by 4:30am)the amount of food they consume… especially my older boys is absolutely amazing!!! The two boys alone can go through a dozen eggs, a loaf of bread, and hearty bacon. And sometimes if it has been especially tough they will add yogurt or fruit. I just don’t have the space to prep and store all that food. But… I am always looking for ways to fill them up. One week I counted and we went through about 80 eggs. The kids are extremely fit so they are not over eating… it is just a lot of food! 😅😅
