And when that is the case, and they are wrong and can't come off of their position because they are afraid of looking dumb, is when they are the dumbest of all.

I have ADHD and constantly have trouble getting my point across because I’ll have thoughts that branch out and I feel I will forget them so I spew out way too much and end up sounding like Alex Jones. It makes sense to me but rarely others. Of course it comes in waves and it can ramp up if I get anxious or excited.
Same it's frustrating. I feel like that's why I have problems communicating with people. Especially new people I get extremely nervous. My head is constantly spinning I don't ever stop stop thinking and I can't relax until I smoke some herb. I just stay to myself and don't make efforts to go places. It's gotten so bad I don't even hang out with people anymore. I have one friend I see at least on a weekly basis so I don't feel too alone.
It doesn’t matter what job/career you have, curiosity and open-mindedness makes you intelligent in my book. Like he says at the end, he’d get shut down and dismissed for wanting to learn more about a subject. There’s nothing more stubborn/limiting than mocking someone for wanting to learn.
But yet so many people do.... This whole "pandemic" thing has really opened my eyes to how unintelligent the masses really are. I think it was Plato that said: "Those who can see beyond the walls of their culture will never be understood believed by the masses."
He did slow down, but he explained why he talked so fast, and notice that when he slowed down, he kept stumbling over his words.l. I think he was serious lol

He has ADHD, and like many who do, he interrupts people because he can't remember what he wanted to say if he doesn't respond right away. I wish Joe would have asked why he refers to himself as we.
He isn’t referring to himself as “we”; he’s with his buddy, Mike, and they are together, so that’s who he is referring to WITH him. Listen again. He says “I” a lot when speaking about himself and what he was doing. Maybe you aren’t used to listening to a hyperactive talker is all. 😉
@@simmethaboi5232 No it isn't. It is ADHD. I do a similar thing because my brain works quicker and harder than most for the information I want to disperse and I can forget it quick. Brainstorming with yourself with an audience for validation isn't new, it's what parents do for their kids explaining how their finger painting is a classic piece of Americana Folk Art.
It’s a very good tactic as it avoids the trappings of subvocalisation. By speaking, or writing, you get to see/hear the form of the idea, it’s first manifestation. You then can change it based on this manifestation. The listener doesn’t need to give feedback yet as it’s just the first, or third (depends when you spit it out) iteration. Ultimately though the finer points of shared collaborative work should be a dialogue, not just a sounding board - otherwise your partner or coworkers will just leave 😂

@@deecee9479 same here, the frustrating part for me is sometimes I’ll have just a snippet of a song, melody or something of the sort that I recognize but just can’t remember what it is. I do this too. I speak really fast and I have multiple thoughts in my head at one time and I honestly don’t mean to interrupt people it’s just usually a thought that is random to the other person but what they said is what triggers the thought so in my mind I’m responding to the same conversation. I am a musician and I’ve been doing the teeth thing he talked about since I was 10 and got my first drum set. I’ve never heard anybody else talk about it until right now. Good to know I’m not alone lol
I am a singer not professional, but I sang all my life in school, colleges, fest and competitions. I remember clearly there have always been a song in my head as far back as 4-5 years old. I used to tap teeth and grind to make music sound and humming with it. Brushing even and even right before falling asleep. I too came to know today that I am not alone ☺️
I'm hyper and talk fast myself. I wasn't able to identify tweekers for many of my adult years because of my own hyperness. I thought they were fast moving and erratic like me. Lol. Talking fast is worse when I am happy because the excitement radiates. Fast talking matches the racing my brain does the whole time. Talking slow causes stuttering in my case because I'm not keeping time with the words in my head. Lol. However, taking a deep breath helps me to slow down for others in an attempt to make better conversation. That's best for everyone involved. I've learned to contain myself as best as possible because I'm quite a bit to handle at full force. Maybe this guy's the same.

Well it’s the polite thing to do. Ppl who speak fast are used to being told to slow down and are quite accommodating when it’s pointed out. Some people just can’t keep up so you adjust accordingly.
it's just like pointing out someone speaks too loud or doesn't speak loud enough, they switch up their volume accordingly bc you've now made them conscious of a thing they tend to do unconsciously, it's not shocking or surprising. Test it out. Tell someone mid-convo that they move their hands around a lot, depending on whether you point it out as an observation or as a judgement, they'll either become more obvious with their hand gestures or stop them completely. it's normal.
Holy cow hell! I do that teeth tapping thing too! All.The.Time. I’ve never actually told anyone though because I also felt that it was an ocd thing. I do it because of music in my head and cuz I’m always counting things (mainly my steps, I don’t know why, it’s simply compulsory). Anyone else do that?
ADHD and/or autism can have compulsory actions like this that can be classified as OCD, however whenever its adhd/autism (i combine the both because they overlap) it’s called stimming (sensory/physical/cognitive actions) to manage over/under stimulation. it’s not a bad thing either way!

I saw a video about a declassified CIA report where they'd studied psychic phenomenon. Their conclusion was basically, 'It's all real. But nobody can make it happen consistently enough to be of any use to us.' That makes sense to me, and lines up with what I've heard and observed. There's certain moments where either, you get a 'superintuition' out of nowhere for no good reason, or you need something to happen on a level that goes beyond physical; and you only get, like, a handful of those your entire life. They're glitches in reality that, once in a great while, we have the luck or sheer will to exploit. We don't get to consciously choose them.
Definitely do exist, and all people have them to some extent. Only some people are more in tune with them, some can even practice and sharpen their skills. Most people don't realize but I'm sure we've all heard of the term "sixth sense" and the sixth sense literally is a form of psychic ability. The feeling of being watched, or the feeling of not being alone, even though you're the only person in the room. Or feeling someone looking at you from behind, only to turn around and watch them look away like you caught them, or feeling someone sneak up on you from behind, these are great examples of typical everyday psychic activity we've brushed off and defined as simply "normal" human function instead of "paranormal" or psychic abilities
they do, but not everyone is going to believe it, and its not our job to convince them ...some people will believe it when they experience it themselves and others will convince themselves they were hallucinating.

I have an amazing story. One day I was driving home and I felt the presence of the Lord, come down to me from above. It was as real as anything and I felt so comfortable with Him. I knew if I asked Him to play a song on the radio, He would. So I said "Ok Lord, play Come as you are..." I didn't know what station it was on or anything, but I turned the radio on and the song started playing right on the spot, perfectly... I started getting flooded with chills inside, trembling, and crying tears of joy. When I got home, He stayed with me for 10 minutes till I got out of the car. I've been getting amazing prayers answered for around 5 years since, because that experience made me stop doubting when I pray, and I follow Biblical instructions, best I can.
Nice. One time I said lord I’m sorry for always asking for signs and not listening but if you can give me this I will stop. And I put all my mental energy into a smaller and smaller funnel until a rain wind storm came out of no where. Every time I would go deeper it would intensify and if I lost it it would stop. About three times over 5 minutes it came and went. It wasn’t even cloudy before that. Before it happened I went into a trance and felt myself walking to my bed and lie down like a robot. Just watching thinking what the hell, something has taken over.

Bro the way that he talks about how if he isn't thinking he is hearing music is exactly what I do, same with how my mind is always going, and the hand writing, the teeth thing and how I just keep getting random ideas and thoughts when I have an issue or someone else has an issue they bring to me. I had to slow and learn to wait for my turn. 💯💖🤙
I understand that. I do the exact same thing with my teeth, always have music in my head, compulsively sing along to songs I know, get tongue tied because I'm trying to explain 15 things at once, I do math problems in my head, the list goes on. Even here in a comments section its hard for me to fiogure out what I want to write because I 'll have 12 different things to say that don't tie in together, so I have to consider what is more important to me...1 of the 5 witty comments I thought of, or maybe comment on the mistake the person made that I feel compelled to clarify...maybe I should ignore the mistake and comment on the topic of discussion, or at least the thing he said at 2:53 seconds on...maybe that's what I should comment on. It's truly never ending. Then I reread and have to edit what I wrote if I think of a caveat I di dn't consider or whatever.

I can move things with my mind. I am typing right now. I am moving my fingers with my mind. And at first blush that might sound like a joke or not the point but it is the point. I am literally taking thoughts from my head and causing my fingers to hit the appropriate keys to convey this message. Just because those fingers happen to be attached to me doesn't make it any less miraculous. When you think about it and if science is correct. The universe began as mostly hydrogen with some helium thrown in. I don't believe that but let's go with it. That hydrogen formed stars. Probably some really huge ones at first. Stars so massive they couldn't remain stable for long. They "burnt" through fuel, fusing hydrogen into the heavier elements like mad, pulse in an out like a heart for a few thousand years and BOOM blew up to create the elements that compose my body. As an aside here I would like to say that if that star lasted even a few million years and all my atoms are from that star, I am in essence millions of years old because all the atoms in me are millions of years old. The protons and neutrons perhaps billions. My consciousness however is pretty new. Cosmically speaking my consciousness is an infant even though I am in my 50s. And even if I double that time I will still be an infant compared to the cosmos. But while I am alive this consciousness in my brain (not just the brain) is causing other matter from the universe to move in the way I want it to. Consciousness is the only thing that defies the order of the universe. If not for consciousness the matter that the Voyager spacecraft are composed of would most likely have never left this solar system and would be consumed by the Red Giant that our sun will someday be. I watched Uri Geller once supposedly moving a compass with his mind. He huffed and puffed like it was a huge exertion pointing his fingers and moving them around the compass. And it moved. My only thought was "Hey I can do that with a magnet and not break a sweat." this dude is going to give himself a stroke. Frankly I think it was a trick but who really gives a shit. Pick up a something bigger than a piece of paper and then I will give a shit. As for psychic ability it is totally possible. Radio receives signals that cause parts of it to oscillate electrically in harmony with the wave being detected. You yourself, if you are reading this, have the ability to sense electromagnetic energy and convert that to information. Its called SIGHT. And photons are some of the smallest particles known yet you have an organ and brain that can sense and make sense of them. Light is part of the electromagnetic spectrum. The idea that you may possess an architecture of your brain that allows you to convert electrical signals from other people's thoughts isn't that far fetched. But most professional psychics are fake and some psychic anecdotes about people knowing who is calling the moment the phone rings or having an urge to do something and either following it or not following it and then later either realizing they should have or shouldn't have becomes apparent. I think that kind of "psychic flash" is actually the super computer sub conscious. I started paying attention to those things like an urge to take an ink pen with me or a certain tool even though I don't use it that much and sure enough I used them. I listen to that "little voice" most of the time now and it usually pays off. But I don't think it's psychic.
Uri Geller was exposed for being a fraud - famously. As for psychics in general, the reason why science doesn't believe in it isn't because "its not possible". The reason why science doesn't believe in it is because it is never proven. all it would take is one person proving their psychic abilities *under testable, repeatable conditions* and yet no one ever does. Same goes for all forms of the supernatural. Anecdotes, anecdotes, anecdotes -- but when put to the test, it never seems to happen. Someone please do it when it counts - but no one ever does.
Can only speak from my point of view and that being said, what I experience or see as being a “psychic” ability is a way of explaining to someone that they are picking up energy/vibration outside of the body and the body reads the vibration/energy/radio wave then a person can predict what will happen but the information the body has gathered and processed. Some people are more sensitive and can pick up on vibrations/energy better then others and over a period of time get faster and better at decoding the information they are sensing. INFJ are known for their sensitivity and also HSP (highly sensitive person), empath, witches, priest, holy men, medicine men/women, tarot card readers, mediums, ect. They are all just labels and names to put people into groups but it’s all the same on the end. Hahahaha.

Yeah hearing him describe himself was just screaming adhd to me
Same it's frustrating.

Psychic powers do exist. I have dreamt stuff that has come true.

So I said "Ok Lord, play Come as you are..."

And I didn’t until I saw this comment. Thanks.

No one does as far as I know.

Hallucinations will make people think they have psychic powers. People are just trippin.
Some people are gifted, of course someone without that gift wouldn't be able to comprehend it. 🤷🏽♀️

James Randy's one million dollars challenge is undefeated.
The first person to win the challenge would get to cash his prize money from a military official, who would also offer the lucky winner an invitation he could not refuse to spend an indefinite amount of time at an undisclosed location, where he would have the privilege to teach his secrets to the military. Refusing this offer would have unfortunate consequences for both parties, but perhaps accepting it would have a similar result to one party: after learning everything the winner had to teach, they would have to guarantee that foreign forces did not learn these secrets, and as we know there is only one guarantee in life...
People don't take kindly to those that are not normal, even in ways that have a natural explanation, like race, intelligence, beauty, accomplishments. I'm sure those whose differences can't be explained by natural causes learned this the hard way, and would fear similar results from the general public if their abilities were exposed. What do you think would happen if people started believing again in witches? Mad Max shows what the world would be like after a Third World War, just as X-Men is probably a good representation of a world where people believed in psychic powers.
I'm glad that no one won Randy's prize!

Based on your pfp, if you're a woman, it's probably the latter.

Edward Owens go to bed dad
its intuition my guy, but u prolly know this
Uri Geller was exposed for being a fraud - famously.
Hahahaha.
u might need to cut back on the adderall dude

Right?! I can read people within 10 seconds. The rest of the 30min- 4 hours spent with them (due to my job) is predictable. Every once in a while someone surprises me. Not often, but I enjoy that.
I don’t think people realize how programmed they are.
Same
@@treeknome2642 Shallow is the word you are looking for. You can't read people in only 10 seconds. That would mean you are programed on prejudice and stereotypes as opposed to reality or facts. Who people factually are comes through their behavior. Not on their looks or clothing. You are the one who has been programmed.
You cant compare our mindset and ways to that of an alien being, even other animals are very very different in thought process on our planet, if aliens are real its unfathomable of what they would be fully capable of due to the amount of possibility within the current laws of physics. Too many people say things like 'if aliens were out there they would have invaded us, due to us being a threat' this is not true because this is directly modeled after our human mindset.
