everytime i rewatch your setup I learn something on how to tweak my YD2
I have the same car, but fully CF, still learning how to drift, your video does help alot
Hi. Just wanted to say this video was really entertaining! Keep it up! :)
Awesome, great content, it’s great to see how others have there yd2 set up
Oh man, your car is amazing, what do you do for a living?
Great video bro!
Definitely a new favorite video!
Nice vid. Gonna keep it in my Tips&Trics playlist!
Big thumbs Up!
Thanks!
+robekensugi two wheel drive?
Yes, rear wheel drive.
+robekensugi awesome. I last drifted five years ago, hpi pro4, I tried to drift 2wd only went in circles. big ups to all 2wd drifters. I must try again.
+robekensugi i just realized, I have liked your drifting style since I saw you drift that mini on your hard wood floor. many years back.
So smoooooth
i noticed your gyro is way up front. Is this an ideal mounting position? My gyro is mounted past the halfway point of the top chassis plate. Thanks for your setup tips!
Ive been reading that the farther up front it is, the more it is believed to be less affected by the shaking from the rear end of the chassis and its constant level of traction changing in each drift for example. On top of that the back ends get a lil too squirmy as is and since the gyro is for the steering i always see people recommending to put it up front usually on top of a front mounted servo and to secure it as best as possible. Ive seen zip ties, ive seen zip ties and velcro "to soften any vibration" to keep the gyro smooth. In all honesty it doesnt matter where you put it afaik, its where it best works for you that matters most, and in most cases that will likely be farther towards the front of the chassis. Dont take my word for it tho im no pro, i just do lots and lots of reading on this stuff.
Which one would you recommend more, the 3Racing Sakura D4 or the Yokomo YD-2?
NoPointOfThis123 I'd say yd2
D4 if u are hardworking and would pay effort to make the car good, yd2 if you are lazy
This is an expert vid again after I watched vid for D4. These Vids I watched almost everyday :) ! Could u please guide me how to install Acuvance Accutron Capacitor? Do I just wire it with minus ( - ) on ESC and keep the original capacitor or I need to remove the original capacitor ? I’m using Hobbywing V3.1 ESC with turbo :) ! Thanks
Thanks for sharing!
super vid homie
Could you tell me if the wheelbase adjustable? I need to make it a 253mm wheelbase for a specific body....
Help! I wanted to add the Yeah Racing Aluminum Gear Box For Yokomo YD2S Black. Does this part fit the YD2E?
Thank you
Great ! Thanks for share ~ ~ ~and love your cat too ~ so cute ~ XD
hi ...nice setup and driving. btw what esc, motor and gyro u use?
Thanks for comment. In this video, ESC is HobbyWing 120A, gyro KDS800(now I'm using Overdose DAIS), motor is Yokomo Zero .
RC DRIFT is popular for Japanese cars.
I also do RC DRIFT in Japan.
would you ever go back to d4 after using the yd2 or is the yd2 really that good ?
Nice vid!! Hey I use a Flysky GT5 controller with the gyro built into the receiver. I cannot get a good drift for the life of me. Is it the setup, me or could it be the gyro?
I already tested several gyros and the "quality" of the drift changes a lot depending on the gyro model. I recommend KO Propo servo RSx3-one10 Ver.D and gyro KG-X. The best combo ever!
can you provide a link for that particular plastic tile that is the track surface?
Very good good 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you for this video. very nice :)
excellentttt
Really beautiful! How long is the turn buckles?!
Excellent info. Is the plus version worth buying first up if I can afford?
Yes. Carbon chassis , aluminium damper and a lot of aluminium parts.
Just got the YD2 Plus, and sure is worth it, you don't really feel a difference in the driving, only some small things
Is necesary put Grease un the gearbox?thanks!
No, it's not necessary grease.
@@robekensugi thanks! Another question....what os the reference of the lipo battery pack?
How does the KDS800 perform? and which settings are you using? Cheers and great video, helped me alot!
Dude why did you not used a turbo and boost on your yd2? Is the motor getting hot with your gear ratio?
Because in this video I'm using 86 body and 86 is not a powerfull machine. Just to run like a 86. Now I'm using Toyota Mark-X and my YD-2 now running with boost and turbo .
Hahahaha! Nice. How much boost and turbo are you using? Nice setup vid again dude.
Which do you find drives better for you, the YD-2 or your Doripake RWD? I am currently building YD-2 and I have Doripake 50/50 w FOW+Spool. I love Doripake just way it is but after watching your Doripake video considering selling YD-2 and convert Doripake...decisions decisions. Just wondering your opinion on this matter.
Hmmm.... It's so hard to answer... Both are very different. Personally, I prefer Doripake, maybe because I've been using it for several years. But if you want a chassis with more traction, I recommend YD-2.
I am going to keep the YD-2 since its still a newer chassis, plus I just like the Doripake too much as my 50/50 korogashi chassis, I have been drifting that since 2009!! Thabks for the insight tho, good to know YD-2 has traction. Keep the videos coming!! Love the YD-2 setup one, will be my baseline to start from.
Thanks ! I hope you enjoy this set up, and I'll keep trying a better set up on my YD-2.
Como puedo mandar a conprar un co check
this vid has made it clear for me YD 2 it is....... : )
Can you tell me what electronics to use in this drift car. Or simply what all I have to buy to build this drift car. Thanks
I recommend G-Force ESC TS90, brushless motor 10.5 Turns, Sanwa or Futaba controller and receiver, gyro (MST, Yokomo, D-like, etc...), batteries (Yokomo, G-force , etc...), Servo (sanwa, futaba, ko propo, savox, etc...) and of course Yokomo YD-2.
Thank You
Ajay ftu
Hi, How did you lock your rear diffs?
jeykito403 weld it 😂
jeykito403 , its a solid rear axel.
Hi,
do you have reverse on your setup, or just Forward and Brake?
Forward, brake and reverse.
Alexis 007 à
Hi Robe,
Are Boost and Turbo not common in Japan? I often see your setup video that shown no turbo and boost needs. I know RWD is all about drifting sideways very smoothly. Or ESC settings based on the track needs??
Super cheap but super fast servo recommentadions
use gyroscopio
this vid has made it clear for me YD 2 it is....... : )
