I know absolutely nothing about this hobby. But i appreciated the skill in this race by the end of the video, no doubt.
When it comes to the RC world of drifting, RWD is really difficult. To see these guys tear through the course at crazy angles and high speeds is truly awesome. incredible amount of skill!
In 2007 I had a go at AWD drifting in the UK (hence the username) and that was tough - especially on my budget at the time. Back then though the top guys didn't even think RWD was possible. This is flippin NUTS

@@skycorrigan6511 yes. i race 1/10thscale offroad on carpet and i was screwing around and decided to a try a drift car and they are like 10x easier than offroad or onroad. its like driving around the track normaly. but it more feels like 2wd buggy on dirt lol

For anyone who like me has no clue what's going on:
"Lead tries to outperform the tail and lead him behind while completing fundamentally sound drifts. The tail is trying to perfectly mimic the lead, same line, angle, speed. In the rare case the tail is far better than the lead and will accomplish passing the lead which gives a win for the run. But the number 1 rule is the tail can never contact the lead."

I was trying figure out why the outer lane, who had the disadvantage, always had the lead and the other lane hesitated.... Insane.
The second pair of racers were incredible... looks like they practiced synchron drift but i know they not. .... Awesome.

i watched a Formula E race lately... although i don´t particularily like the sound of Formula 1 cars, i still felt something important was missing :(
Ethanol can be used as fuel and still makes a good sound . Thing about ethanol is you can get it from a lot of things .
We are no where near running out of fuel. There's even evidence that proves oil is a renewable resource after all and is being constantly refreshed deep underground by natural processes.
Sure, we can always create biofuels and when fusion reactors are developed enough, energy is no limiting factor. If we can get materials from space, we can power pretty much anything and there is enough materials to drop fiat value of all materials with single load. Hence why corporations dont want to mine in space.
For refreshing naturally part i flawed. Sure Titan has methane lakes. This does not mean it naturally refreshes, but that Titan could had bacterial life long ago, but it got killed and turned into hydrocarbons, by ground pressure and heat. Refreshing oil wells that were pointed out as evidence, might just filled from other oil pockets that were deeper and were released via ground movement, filling one above due pressure difference.
I'm open for hypothesis, but claiming something proves it to be case, is still taking it too far. We simply dont know witch is the case, so for we need to study these subjects. Interesting finding regardless.

I own a drift rc and I respect the level of skill these guys all have. People think this is easy. It's actually very hard and requires lots of time to perfect throttle, steering, angles, braking etc. I salute you drift kings!!
I drift real and rc cars and I'll tell you, for someone unfamiliar with what's going on, these guys are driving with some high skill.
It's not easy to drift and balance a rwd rc car like that (even mine is awd). In fact, it's almost harder to learn this than sliding most real cars lol

Drifting a real car is easier. you know where your wheel is at, real time because your steering wheel will spin, weight of the car will shift direction, ect ect. Plus you're in the car to see the bumps in the road. RC you're just watching really, and hoping to not oversteer.

I have a life, kids, 4 cars one being a eclipse gst ,and I still have time and $ to be able to do this and the skill as well. Some people don't get it but not everyone is born with commen sense. If read most these comments and just came to the conclusion that certain people get it and understand or will take the time to understand and others are just hopeless . But there the same people who will go out drop a hundred or more at the bar sleep with some random person end up with a std and still have the nerve to ask why them? I figure someone will read this so maybe I'll help them understand right here. 1. No you can not pass unless leader spins and it's not your fault. 2. There is two rounds or runs. There is a leader and chaser each run.(They switch) 3. The judges judge them on many factors like speed,race line, clipping points, angle, closeness,distance to name a few 4. Just because someone has a hobby you either can't understand or afford doesn't mean there virgins 5. Most in not everyone of these people have jobs and life's 6.yes there is many rc drift videos on UA-cam but this is a world championship event, not a movie. Watch a real Japanese drift comp like real life drift comp on there tracks, there is maybe 3 to 4 turns...7.to say someone doesnt know how to drive a real car or drift one because of this is ignorant ,most of these people have a actual life,this is a hobby which they are good at and got sponsored and get to travel the world just because (they can drift a toy rc car)bet your job ain't doing that for you. Bet you don't have as much fun either.. 8.remove your head from you azz and open your mind to new things, or don't doesn't bother me keep being ignorant I'm sure you'll go far in life.
