We've had a door lock failure on our conservatory today, must be the day for it. That digger and grab, and a good operator, are a fantastic asset. Makes forestry look easy.
Thursday, 105% with a bit of crack with another curryhead in the supermarket. Still no Snowpocalypse. Been looking at the local timber haulers loads on flats, and I reckon you'd want to cut the dead trees into about 10 foot lengths for hauling, and to go in the chipper.
Wete the tree was down and you worked on it, looks like Cambridge Lane between church Road roun about and greens Bridge Lane in halewood by the old Bridgefield forum leisure centre
Olly, hopefully you'll be at Lamma next week, try to come and see the Hole maker technology stand, Ill be there demoing the tools .... be good to meet you ....
That wood is gonna keep you busy for a while it could be a good asset when you’ve cleared it out That Solis is a useful little tractor always starts and this weather that’s great John loves driving that digger and he is let’s face it very good at it We had a covering of snow this morning and now it’s freezing something. terrible Your salt spreader will be a very useful piece of kit if it keeps these temperatures up it’s to cold for me feeling 87% today and Olly brilliant video again.
I had a near miss whilst on cherry picker, the door had got stuck 2/3 open, I went up to have a look to see if motor was trying, I seen the fan on back end twitch when my 2nd man operated the switch, then there was a bang and the door dropped, luckily I didn't get caught in the drum. But it was the chain between motor and drum snapped and the drum was free to rotate.
Very good blog olly when you check the roller doors double check the chains on the motors as i have seen one snap and the door come down close to hitting a work mate
Following on from yesterday, based in Rochdale, ex demolition worker amongst many other things started off tyre fitting in college so have mechanical experience just looking for a chance to learn new skills , many thanks olly I know your a busy guy just want pointing in right direction, thanks Tj
An incident occurred in a Reading theatre a few years ago when a roller shutter door collapsed on 2 members of the Cornish Sea Shanty group, Fishermans Friend killing both of them, hence the safety concerns on roller shutters.
Maybe good idea to take digger and chipper down to the wood and remove all dead trees etc from side of road could be insurance claim if a car gets damaged by falling tree
The dore latches are in very lightly to fail like that ther are better quality of one available than the 2or 3 quid ones, but there hard to find And yes it's obviously in dyslexic too hope that made sense
That's not a good lock with kids around... don't forget to make sure you put scale inhibitor in the heating system, otherwise the water may eat through the rubber on the flexi pipes in no time..😊
Hi Olly you should get the roller shutters checked out as I've a mate that had a one fall on him at his work place it left him in a wheelchair..40% SUPPORT BRITISH FARMING 👍
Similar thing happened to are workshop door about 4 years ago. Just miss the lad opening it. The shaft sheered clean off motor end left a big dent in the concrete probably would have killed him it was a big door almost fully rolled up. …"
Your wood is a classic example of how a lot of wood land has been abandoned (not your fault) and ivy allowed to kill so many trees. I would clear anything with ivy on and replant. You could have loads of fun in there with the excavator 😅
Bet you’re regretting the day you signed on the dotted line now for the woods. You seem to have spent ages there sorting fallen trees. Good job it’s the Winter when you’re not so busy in the fields
Just a thought about your bit of woodland, has it got Ash die back in it? Or are they all just self seeded saplings? Anyway maybe you could get a defra grant to clear the lot and replant it.

You're right about the urea and and corrosion on the aircraft fuselage and wings, but it can do nastydamage to some aircraft carbon brake packs.
When I win the lottery, I’m going to match your Birthday Bumper Total.
