Handy info. I'm in the midst of tucking wires and relocating the battery to make room for a turbo. I ended up de-pinning a couple connectors to get through the hole in the apron (instead of opening up the hole). Also took off the old harness wrap to get some more slack and cooperation, will re-wrap when it's all said-and-done.
When you de-pinned, did the wires just click back into the plug with no issues? I’d much rather do it this way than cut a bigger hole, but 30 year old plugs are not always cooperative.
I have been wanting to do mine so bad just lacked the motivation, I believe you have inspired me to get it done soon. Thanks man and as always good work brother.
I am doing mine now and had some Tesa tape. Even when it rubs over the metal edge it doesn't knick /mark it or anything. I would not use electrical tape only like you said in the area that passes through those sharp metal edges. The other areas with some wire loom would be okay without the Tesa. And yes they are sharp. I knicked my master cylinder wiring up pulling it back through the hole. It got a Tesa wrap after. :)
Perfect timing! My engine is still out so I have been wanting to do this before installing it, along with a larger booster for my Cobra brakes. Thanks!
Much better!! All the coyote swap stuff is great ,but I like making power with the original pushrod motors too, I wasn't checking in as often because without a minimum of 20k laying around ,alot of your projects are out of range for me, 👍
@@Mrslow5.0 I plugged mine in there's a hole in the strut tower the the connector can reach through. I think it's just for the low brake fluid sensor so doesn't necessarily need to be plugged in.
I want to do it to mine ,but is there a good place to relocate to washer tank?? I live in Massachusetts, if I only drove mine I perfect days I'd only drive it 3 days a year
Caleb that was a nice tuck looks alot better. Im doing same thing in my 03 gt. Could you do a video on a battery relocation or an overview if you have a video could you link it?
@@FoxcastMedia Thanks Caleb i appreciate that im trying to do one just not real sure about the best way to run the wires like to starter or to fuse box or to alt first i plan on doing the big 3 so any help would be really appreciated
In my opinion run wires through the factory hole that the old style cruise control unit use to exist on drivers side. It comes right below the dash and it's right to the fuse box. On the passenger side get a hole saw or dremel and cut in the same location as the driver side. It is hidden and is safe. You can see the factory hole on driver side in the video. His car has a grommet
If I have to do anything with those wires, I would have to take all those things back out. I think it would be better just to leave it the way it is, and get some nice loom. That mod could be a PITA if you need to access them again.
Have a question.. What is B/R used for on the vacuum tree. I read where it is supposed to be plugged off but yours has something hooked to it. Is that for the supercharger u mentioned? Thanks in advance
Yeah, I'm gonna have to do this to get rids of the rats nest of wires that's in that area. I dunno what the previous owner did to my poor 5.0 but... Wow. This is simple enough and makes things look so much cleaner.
In the middle of a wire tuck on my 92 notch and was wondering the best place to run the A/C compressor wire. I just noticed the car in the video doesnt have it hooked up. I was thinking thru the washer reservoir hole along the side of the battery tray? You make everything look easy. It's a struggle lol
That wire connected to the starter solenoid on the right which is the only one there what is that for it you know it would help me cause I got a short on the interior light of my foxbody?
I’m wondering if it’s always necessary to elongate the hole in the back of the strut tower? I ask because I re-taped my entire harness so it’s much smaller than it was when original. Thanks!
I mounted my starter solenoid on the back side of the fender well, I took out the washer fluid tank, can i run the wires behind the strut and to the starter solenoid?
I have a question I was doing the wire tuck but for some reason I have 2 wires coming from under my battery they both say fuselink 14-GA. Can you tell me where they go?
My battery is in the hatch and now I'm looking for info to put the thing back under the hood, bought the car that way but its hard to start after warm up and I'm not sure if it's a timing issue or the starter or this 20 foot hot cable
@ 7:20 where is the other end of that plug. I’m in the midddle of wire tucking my engine bay, engine and trans are out and that’s the only one I can’t find an end to
Hey Foxcast, I know I'm a little late to the party but had a question on this video, which by the way, one of the best on wire tucks. What did you do with the AC compressor harness that connects to the large bundle of wires you tucked? It's only about 12 inches long coming from the compressor and no way it will reach under the fender wall and reach the harness in the fender. It's only 2 cables on the harness; should I be able to simply extend this with some 10G wire? Thanks for the video!
Damn dude. You make me want to buy a foxbody stang. I've driven a few in the past and I love them. However I've never worked on cars before and I've always wanted to. A mustang is probably not the best first car to learn to work on eh? Lol
What about if you want to keep the washer tank?
Thanks for this video I have always wanted to do a wire tuck but wasn’t exactly sure where to start!
Crazy asking for a fire 400 amps hot wire rubbing on inner panel needs a rubber pass thru grommet look for marine grade won’t do without it

@@guitarstudy0062 It cooperated with me, your mileage may vary, depending on how your plastic has aged.
Looks good! I did this on my coyote swap I just have to do my other coupe now
I have been wanting to do mine so bad just lacked the motivation, I believe you have inspired me to get it done soon. Thanks man and as always good work brother.
Do it to it brutha!
nice, just finished up another one using the rear most hole not needing to open the hole up. rolled the factory headlight harness down thru the hole.
I’ve been wanting to do a wire tuck on my fox for a while now and now you’ve got me motivated enough to actually do it😂
lol i watched your old wire tuck video yesterday and you put out a new one today gj looks great
I've done the passenger side, and the only thing keeping me from doing the other side is the thought of taking out that fender liner😂
It’s been 2 years! Have u don’t it?lol
it's very easy to do!‼️
Lads - highly recommend using tesa tape instead of plain "electrical" tape when re-wrapping any wiring harness.

THANK YOU for that advice. I thought super 33+ 3M was the best it got, but so glad to see it isn't! :P
What did you do about the connector going into the MC?
Great video!! I was wondering how to start that, keep them secrets coming I really do appreciate them!!
Perfect timing! My engine is still out so I have been wanting to do this before installing it, along with a larger booster for my Cobra brakes. Thanks!
AWESOME info !!!!! Will be doing this while mine is apart for a rebuild and a new paint job.
Mucho thanks for the video! im about to start mine tonight!!
I love the wire tuck.
I want to do a wire tuck on my 2007 Mustang GT.
Great video. I have been waiting on this one for a while now. Keep up the good work.
💯 iv been waiting so long for this. Thanks.
Great video! Camera man was on point!
Oh :28 is the best part of the video😂
Yes you killed it! hahaha
Foxcast Media 😂😂
I'm going to try this over the weekend.and do exactly what u did.
Tempting.. very tempting to try this...
These are the vids I like keep it up . Wow your working on something. 😎
Looks better for sure. The only downside is when the starter solenoid goes bad you have more work to replace it but worth it.
Hell ya I didn’t even know it was that easy definitely on the list this winter! Great vid man!
Nice looks easy now when i find and run my new harness i may do that
Looks way better. I definitely need to do this on mine.
GearHead704 Sounds like a good vid for your channnel!
Awesome intro very informative 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Great video!
If removing the tab/tad solenoids, do you just cut off the plug ins from the main harness to clean it up?
Body filler or weld them holes shut then repaint for a SUPER CLEAN look!
your the best bro I needed this video
As always.... Very informative.... But where did you end up mounting the starter relay?👍👍👍👍👍😉😁
It is right beside the large hole (where the washer juba's came through) on the opposite side of the fender apron
@@FoxcastMedia cool thanx..... I was wondering that.... Ya didnt show us all the hidden secrets!😁😉👍👍

nice Job Caleb!
Thanks bud! Old school mods FTW!
Since you mention the test port, maybe you could do a vid on how to use it. It can be a little useful tracking down gremlins.
Now I have to do this!
That's pretty cool clean look
Great job. Nice and clean
Where did you put the washing fluid ?
TallStarlite in the trash lol
Where does the ground wire from the fender inner panel between the battery and the starter solenoid hook up too ?
Caleb, this kinda content gets me through winter! How’d the big brake upgrade turn out on the coupe? Did u end up using a cobra master?
Bill Killian The brakes aren’t finished yet due to faulty parts, but I promise I’ll have an update for you very soon!
Alright i'ma have to do this to mines now
Nice job ; getting rid of the rat nest !

Terrific video. Thank you
I like, I have the OEM coil cover im happy with that, love your ford tool tray ,the radiator,,,,🤣🤣I do the same thing 🛠🤣😁
Hahaha gotta set it somewhere
Thanks.. Nice...
Great video. I know you did it 2 yrs ago but wow how did you get so many coupes. They are priced out of reach in my area miami, fl.
Thank you
Slick Rick. Oh I mean slick Caleb 😎😎 very cool!!!
Where do you have the starter cable routed to the starter solenoid? Under frame rail? Does it interfere with the inner fender cover? Thx

Did you put the windshield wiper container back in
What did you do with the washer fluid reservoir??? Was it deleted?
Where did you get the big plug for the hole that you showed at the end?? I need one.

has anyone figured out a nice and easy way to seal up all the holes from the factory on the shock towers JB weld, silicone, aluminum tape?
Is it safe to have it that close to the shock?

Good old 302
Yes sir!
Awesome
I can not get my fox to start back up please help me
I will wait until I have pull engine. I had redo every connection under the hood on mine. Wireing SUCKS.
Should have relocate the battery to the. Trunck
No more foo foo juice? Or did you just move that else where?
NTH Welding No I deleted it, we never use it

It looks like you left the windshield fluid tank off hmmm
“What he said”
100%!
I wanted to see it with the fender liner back in .Ya never showed that. Hmmmmmmmmmm.............
Not worth losing the the washer jug and making a solenoid swap nearly impossible in a parking lot.
,it looks nice but that's not really a mod
Just put the plastic cover over it.
