Hey guys, so this is a bit of a different vid. I've been feeling pretty burnt out recently and in a weird headspace with the channel, so a last minute trip into the mountains to clear the head was just what I needed. I wanna say a massive thank you to everyone who has tuned in to my channel over the years. Your support is really what keeps me going. And to anyone else who may also be going through a hard time, just know you're not alone. My advice is to get out for some nature therapy. It will do you a world of good. Much love legends. Till next time.

Couldnt agree more. Couple of years ago life was really weighing me down, but i couldnt work out why. Hadnt been into the high country for a while, so took my son on a camping trip. Came back totally revitalised (mentally anyway). Have made it a far more regular event from then on. Just something about getting back to our natural instincts i guess.

My boys and I watch alot of canadian bushcraft channels but we always love to watch and feel such pride in seeing your videos representing our beautiful Aussie landscape. I know you have done a few videos now where you feature bush tucker plants, I would love to see you delve more into first nations cultural heritage sites (if its appropriate) and even topics like the history of bushrangers, settlers etc, documenting that stuff whilst camping and showing different camping destinations around Australia.. Just an idea for future videos 👍 Keep your chin up Scotty!

    Hey Scotty,
Think I’ve commented once before but you probably didn’t see it. I was once obsessed with your videos and would sometimes even catch them within minutes of you uploading. I used to have a few drinks alongside your GnT’s and it was a massive escape. I didn’t even have anything to escape from. But that’s what your videos do!!
I got busy and would try and watch a vid here and there and I’m not sure what it was, but sometimes I wouldn’t be as glued to the screen as I used to feel.
However, It’s currently 2.30am in Cardiff, Wales🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿, I’ve just got home from work and I’ve stayed up an extra 30 mins to watch this and it was awesome. Maybe it’s the rawness and impulsiveness of this video, or maybe I’m just as much a river man as you. This video was awesome.
Keep doing what you’re doing. As I have done, people will pick and choose their favourite vids. Not every episode can be a banger. There are many many more gems and places for you to share with all of us to come. And I can’t wait for the next episode. Cheers 🍻

From an Old Goat of 73. I call those times, Reflections. They are the paths we have come from that help us on the way ahead. When feeling down, lift your head and look up. There is only beauty. Remember this in each day: Today is the first day off the rest of your life. Do the best you can in it. If there are problems, "Never say you can't", Say, "I am struggling with." "Went times get tough, the Tough get going."
There are those who need to always find fault with others because they want to bring others down to how they feel so they can control. Never except their judgment. Always believe in one's self!
Don't give up doing your video's. Not only do many of us enjoy them but, they are the recorded memories of your journey.

After I had a stroke at 45 years old I just wanted to get my health back and found one of the best ways was to go walkabout in the bush. Nine months after my stroke I climbed Mt Tywnam which at the time was a massive achievement for me. I am a solo traveller and have what I suspect is a mild case of PTSD from having suffered a stroke. Videos like yours help me to conquer my fears of doing things by myself. I’m sorry that things have been abit tough and I certainly relate to feelings of burnout. I think your an absolute champion 👍

In the comments, nearly everyone was dismissing the rules and saying they will now purposely do it on their driveways. It's a sad world we live in when people have become so disconnected to our natural environment. What you do is important, Scott. I am completely baffled hearing suggestions of you being a sell-out. What are you selling out to? You are one of the most genuine, respectful and easy going UA-camrs I've had the pleasure of watching. I appreciate you.
I started watching your channel when I was going through a pretty traumatic time. Stress levels were through the roof and my mental health was pretty low. Your vids always lifted me then and now that I am in a better place I still find nothing but peace. I have nothing but respect for you mate.
If you were to gain some sponsorships and lose some of the haters in the process, would that be a bad thing?
The only advice I feel comfortable giving you is to continue to be true to yourself. Those other UA-camrs that you compare yourself to, they aren't you. There's only one Scotty and he his bloody-well loved by a lot of fans.

Good to see you back enjoying nature's medicine! There's a quote I love, can't remember who said it, but it's this: "Bad news can travel twice around the world while the good news is still getting it's boots on." We live in a world with a lot of haste, and people making hasty judgements, and I guess that the reason I, you, and anyone else subscribing loves the outdoors is that it imposes a pace and a certain amount of humility. Thanks for taking us to that lovely spot!

Getting outdoors really has saved my life. I feel like being in the bush is the only time I'm 100% good. Every other moment I'm just doing what I have to do to get through the day. During lockdowns I binged every camping/bushcraft YT channel I could find, but it still didn't really hit the spot because everything was from Europe or the US. Until I found your channel. You do amazing quality content and capture the sounds and scenic beauty that makes Australia so uniquely special. I don't always thumbs up your video's, although I should.
