Moved here 3 summers ago and I can't get enough of this beautiful state, Sedona blow everywhere I went to in CA out of the water and this is only one of the known spots that everyone goes. You also forget about Show low, Springerville and Edger AZ. The areas surrounding the white mountains are something out of a fairy tale.
I always said the Vermiliion Cliffs look like Mars! It’s stunning! The CA condor were released here and are THRIVING! They can be seen at the Grand Canyon! Chiracahua Mts are stunning! SE AZ. It is Apache territory.
Another great video! Probably a lot more work but would it be possible to add a map graphic when referencing where these different areas are in the state? For us visual folks...thanks!
My favorite of your videos so far! Been trying to obtain property near kingman since 2014. During that time the population has grown at least 3 times! I've met lots of people from san diego, ( where I'm from). We are escaping horrible politics and oppressive taxes
If you want to get into a very secluded area try to visit bumble bee, I would recommend a four wheel drive vehicle as the road in is dirt and subject to flooding. The exit is off I-17 between black canyon city and Cordes Junction
#1 Yuma is not really hotter than Phoenix. In fact, quite often Phoenix is hotter than Yuma due to all your asphalt. We’ve got lots of agricultural here. #2, the bombing range that you say isn’t active-Barry Goldwater is very active. As I sit here right now, the military is out there doing bombing . Look up Yodaville.
I would like to see only "semi-remote" areas in AZ, like maybe there is a Costco within 30 miles, & near a lake if something like that exists! Thank you!
@@janereinhardt4715 other than Phoenix or Tucson, Prescott, Prescott Valley probably have the most options of something small town yet vast amenities when it comes to retail. Sedona as well. You left out Greenlee county which is the LEAST populated area of Arizona. What IS thriving there are the Mexican Grey Wolf. But shhhhh, let's keep it that way. Sedona is a victim of it's own success.
The Mexican Grey Wolf is still on the endangered species list, so I wouldn’t say they are thriving. Southwest Wildlife of Arizona, is one of the organizations, involved in the recovery program
Ya missed the most remote, sparcly populated area in the whole lower 48! The Arizona strip. No paved roads, no gas stations, no cell service, no help when you break down; but beautiful and all by your self!
Hey there, I’ve been a fan of your multiple UA-cam channels for a while now. During one of your lives one time you mentioned a website that told you what the temperature would be in a certain city in 20 years due to climate change I can’t seem to find it. Do you remember what it was called? Thank you
I was just in Payson yesterday and for a relative small town, I was surprised how much traffic it gets. I visit the area from time to time and this has always been a thing that bothered me. It was also 102 I guess that better than 115 in the valley
I live in CA (hate it here) but I live about an hour & half drive from Yuma. Its actually bigger than you might think, as its sparse, but spread out. Its a very nice city (Yuma), but like you said, its HOT in the summer. But its just as hot where I live, so... I would love to move to one of these sparsely populated areas in AZ, but I just can't afford to atm. Wish I could win the lottery and buy a rugged 4WD and tow a decent trailer & just settle in AZ. And no, I wouldn't be bringing CA political insanity with me. Its the main reason why I hate CA.
When I was nomad couple years ago doing van life, me and 2 other vehicles were driving around BLM looking for a camping spot in Page Az. The camping did not look good and we weirded out that there were no other campers/signs of people. just as we were pulling out, an Irate Native woman came speeding in, jumped out of her car cussing at us, screaming things like "get the fuck out!", "stop trying to steal our land" and "death to America!" We quickly left saying nothing to her and she started chasing us down the freeway, swerving near our cars, still cussing us out from her window, while I had 911 on the phone. She chased us all the way across the Utah border. Needless to say, I don't recommend moving to Page, or the border of Navajo Nation. You're not wanted, not even to camp.

It has been changing since the 70’s!! And not for the good.

No said it was remote it just a small mountain town really it has everything you probably need. I like it minus some of the traffic

The irony of vids like this is the more people move to these places, the less they will be like what you describe...lol
Would like to see a video on towns that are surrounded by pine trees
