See now I want a new DK game but understand a 2D or 3D title would do way better being on the Switch successor. DK deserves a game every two or three years, he even deserves some form of content every year! And to hit that every three year goal sure it can be ports and remasters just give something good yknow.
For the Mario party game, we could either get Mario party wonder, mario party 11, or Mario party ultimate (though that could be saved for switch 2). I do think we could get one more Pokemon SV mythical event, a age of calamity sequel, TOTK dlc (or maybe a TOTK DX for switch 2), and a battle course pass for mk8d
Another thing: I think Garten of Banban 1-4 will likely not be in the direct, as 1. Lots of people hate those games and 2. They already exist, unless they are going to release Garten of Banban 5 as a temporary Switch exclusive, there is no way they will make it on the Direct, they probably will release a launch trailer when it releases on the switch, I also think if it’s were to have a chance it maximum chance would be like 2%.
Releasing the latest most graphically impressive game on both consoled makes perfect sense because now Nintendo gets to show off the difference in graphics. That's how it works for Breath of the Wild as well even though the Switch wasn't that big of an upgrade since the Wii-U.
Something to consider is that F Zero GX and StarFox Assault shared development. Being apart of the Tri Force system for the GC. It was a collaboration between Nintendo, Sega, and Namco or as we know them now as Bandai Namco. Bandai Namco has been working on some sort of Remake of an old nintendo 3d action game. The top 2 candidates being kid icarus and Star Fox Assault. Heck namco were the ones to develop Assault so why not let them remake or remaster it for switch? Also Star Fox has been getting NEW trademarks (not renewed). I brought up the Tri Force system collab to basically say that there is a connection between these games. If GX happens then Assault can too.
I would not be surprised if the unprecedented success of this generation makes its last year less of a slob than other final years. It doesn't only warrant a big last hurrah, it makes economic sense to milk that huge install base one last time. Especially if the successor to the Switch is as powerful as it is rumored to be, then I don't think Nintendo will be able to support cross-generational games all too much. Those games would either need massive downgrades or not take advantage of the new hardware- neither of which seem like a Nintendo move to me.

Prime 4 will be Switch exclusive. With backwards compatibility all four Primes will be playable on both systems. People really don't understand why Nintendo did cross gen with TP and BOTW. Firstly, Zelda is a system seller, Metroid is not. Second, both those times in the past, the older system was a failure, Gamecube and Wii U....we don't have that here, the Switch was not a failure, so cross gen makes literally zero sense. Lastly, cross gen games actually hurts the company 99 ways to the one benefit it has. Looking at you Sony with PS5 lol. Retro isn't making two versions of the same game, they would need another 2 years to master the new system.
Nintendo will be releasing games on the original Switch for at least 2-3 years. 150million consoles out there? Switch 2 will have 20 million sold by 2026 if they have a GREAT 2025.
TP HD and WW HD make more sense to come out on Switch 2 then you think. Much like how they were released on Wii U as a FILLER to help with the wait of the next game (BOTW) they could do that again with Switch 2 ad the wait for the next game. Also if TP HD comes to Switch, that means it will have been on 4 systems IN A ROW. That is absurd. WW would have been on 3 out of 4 of the past systems. Again that's absurd. So the Switch can miss out on it to give a break before they release them AGAIN lol.

Why would Nintendo put out a game that spirals out of Adventures' continuity, instead of an original title (the remake treadmill isn't working, so maybe listen to Vaas) or a double pack? Star Fox Adventures WITHOUT Assault?: 15%. This makes MORE sense than Assault without Adventures, but isn't the best move possible, considering it's resting ENTIRELY on a B-grade Zelda game to revive Star Fox. Star Fox Adventures AND Assault HD Double Pack?: 35%. This is probably the smartest play. The remake treadmill wasn't working, this re-presents the less exposed, but still generally accepted as good, parts of the genuinely released continuity to a MUCH larger audience and doesn't entirely rest on the genre swerve to sell units.

At this point I know they’ve got to think about Christmas sales, but I think it could be a really underwhelming direct. I’d say the switch has ONE or maybe two big games left in development, and realistically I wouldn’t be surprised if those two games are another Mario Party and then possibly Metroid Prime 4. After that a HD TP/WW set is likely game three, possibly the announcing of Metroid Prime 2 and 3 to tie us over into 4 and then that’s probably it for big developer games. Then probably just new games from smaller developments, while Pokémon announce their new game at their own event. Rest of the direct will be some new Splatoon 3 content, possibly a Mario Wonder expansion pass and if we’re lucky a GameCube Online.
