@@68able2 There are tons of extremely well made foreign guns as well; Pre-US Sig, CZ, Beretta, Benelli, H&K, even the Japanese made Winchesters and Italian western guns are fantastic. But I do get your sentiment, I am really hoping the new Ruger-Marlin lever guns turn out better than the Remington produced ones, I love quality American lever-actions.

Thank you Allen for an excellent review. Much appreciated. Henry's decision to offer compatible magazine wells for Glock and Smith & Wesson magazines really broadens the appeal of this rifle. I'm also a big fan of aperture sights and was glad to see Henry use them on a carbine like this. Thanks again.

Great review, as usual. My Marlin Camp Carbine is still an excellent working rifle since the 1980's (Thanks in part to collecting parts when possible over the years). My concern, that I expressed to Henry's president, Anthony Imperato, was that the Homesteader is not NY legal due to the threaded muzzle. He promptly emailed back (Yes, he actually does this) that Henry has more developmental plans for the rifle in the future. I'm a bit of a classic looks guy, so that blued steel and walnut is calling out to me!

When I was at Cabelas I was shown the Homesteader, Kel-Tec 2000, and The Ruger PCC. I bought the Ruger because the Homesteader was too expensive and the 2000 didn't seem sturdy enough. If you bend the hinges where the barrel folds so it doesn't line up anymore, you're screwed.

IF there is a police/security market for PCC, Glock should get onboard with a version. Because they could sell to civs also. I wonder if any of these carbines will stand up to the WInchester mil type 9MM ammo out now that is notably hot. Because I bet that the MV gain would be worth it in a longer barrel.
